Yes and so what ?
Everyone knows it. What is your point?
4x Necromancer, 3x Mesmer, 4x Guardian, 4x Thief, 4 Revenant
Lolol … I find it hilarious first of all that a Necromancer is making it sound like thieves are somehow superior when Necros are easily 3 times as tanky, contest nodes better, have amazing aoe pressure and god what else.
It sounds like you facetanked the necromancer and expected to win.
Oh yeah … using minions for CnD for backstab damage. I sure hope you weren’t talking about getting backstab damage on the Necro, because that sure as hell isn’t nearly as easy as you vaguely made it sound, because minions / swarms of AI make for an amazing body block, thus rendering D/P much weaker vs necros than something like tactical strike from S/D.
Read the post, use the terrain to your advantage. If you jump off a 1 mm hill, the minion will run around that hill just to get you. There, the MM lost its body block. Otherwise keep a target on the necromancer, cloak and dagger can hit minions even when you are not targeting them. There, minions do 0 damage to you.
If there is no hill, just run away from the necromancer and CnD the minions.
Not to mention D/P can’t remove protection which against a properly set up / played Necro is pretty much essential if you plan to not only try to burn through their health pool, but their life force guage, amped up life force regeneration, and then back to their health pool. All the while trying to fight off 9 quintillion conditions that you can’t hope to cleanse off reliably, survive, and do all that damage at the same time.
MM players typically do not bring Spectral armor as utility can be used for minions.
Even so, protection has a cooldown and a duration. aka, Protection does not last forever.
Especially if you don’t spec around removing conditions while in stealth. What a “kittening” joke. Sounds like said Necro really doesn’t understand the annoying balance issues of stealth that are not nearly as “helpful” or “overpowered” as some make it out to be.
Most people I fought against are able to dodge my marks even when I place them on their feet. Other than that, in a typical MM build, necros would be using staff. Thieves have tons of evasion arensal and shadow step skills. Thieves forte is preventing damage from ever happening.
If you’re dying, disengage. That is what your class is good at. If you feel that you are unskilled enough to take down a MM necro, you can disarm the necromancer by killing the Flesh golem then Bone fiend and then disengage to recover. When you recover kill the necromancer. Their two most important minions are dead.
If you are still truly unskilled to accomplish the above, get another player to help you. This isn’t a 1v1 after all. This tactic works against most players except thieves since they can easily disengage.

None of the repliers have used stealth against a mesmer or really any channeled/AI ability.
And you haven’t played a MM against a stealther.
You lose against thieves on a necro? Otherwise a thief just stealthing around isn’t going to do much.
But yeah I agree with the OP that AIs need to be looked at.
It is more surprising that you lose to necro while using a thief.
A skilled thief would use their terrain as advantage and use minions as advantage. They run around so the minions will have to take the long way around and then the necro is alone and defenseless.
A skilled thief would bring the minions as far away from the necro as possible and then watch the necro be alone.
A skilled thief would use blackpowder to negate all the minion’s damage.
A skilled thief would use CnD on the pets for backstab damage.
The problem is that you are not skilled enough to use a thief not the otherway around.
Necromancers doesn’t have much kitten nal other than minions. If you disable minions, you cripple the necromancer.

I am against this.
You can drop banners at a ridiculous rate and they are quite cheap.
These will give gold sellers more advertisement promotion.
What gold sellers?
Your sarcasm would be funny if there wasn’t a gold sellers at all. Gold sellers sends private messages on advertising their site, they also spam on the map chat as well.
Put this tool out and they will cover the map with advertisement messages.

Minions already are slow to react.
Plus, cloak and dagger counters minions. A player is hard to get CnD on, but thieves can easily get a CnD on any pet.
Stealth already counter minions also. While in stealth, minions do 0 damage against you. Only the petmaster can damage you while a thief is in stealth.
No nerfing required.

I’m not sure about integrating off hand sword into the auto attack animation. Dual wielding full sized weapons isn’t as good as fantasy games would have you believe.
Go find 2 sticks of what you feel is roughly “sword” length, hold one in each hand and try swinging them about. It’s cumbersome (the weapons get in each others way), slow (you might think it’s faster, but delivering a full blow requires putting your entire body into the swing) and requires extra energy(two heavy blades instead of one), and to take full advantage of it requires you to be highly ambidextrous(which isn’t that common/simple to achieve).
It makes more sense as it is now, with the auto attack chain purely using the main hand weapon, while the off hand is used for specific moves.
No one care about realism.

I disagree.
Shouts should remain support.
If anything, they should buff Physical skills. They are the CC/interrupts of the warrior.
Nobody cares about physical skills, they are basicly “Arcane.” skills except worthless.
And Shout skills are support. Physical skills are CC.
Doesn’t matter if you care or not.

I think OP meant that mobs would be scaled down in health so that solo players won’t have to take forever to kill a mob.

0 damage?
So in my condition/crit setup I’m potentially loosing 3k’s or more worth of attack/crit damage on top of the ongoing confusion damage I’ve stacked?
I’ll pass. Nice idea though.
vs. a nice new noob killer skill and 3 second indirect CC, I’ll take that over yours.
4x Necromancer, 3x Mesmer, 4x Guardian, 4x Thief, 4 Revenant
If it’s just one second.. why not just interrupt the target?
Different flavor of CC and that current Confusing Images is just lacking.
4x Necromancer, 3x Mesmer, 4x Guardian, 4x Thief, 4 Revenant
Dual swords are alright.
They excel in sustain damage. You have cripple and leap at the same skill. You have a impale that is a ranged attack then there is Riposte for more bleeds. Immobilization on the burst.
A enemy will have a hard time escaping dual sword warriors, and while they run away, they have to suffer bleed stacks on them.
However, other dps option like Axe or Greatsword suffers from moving enemies. If your enemies defended from your burst or escape you, the enemy can just kite you to death while you do less damage than the ‘mediocre’ dual sword damage.
4x Necromancer, 3x Mesmer, 4x Guardian, 4x Thief, 4 Revenant
Physical training trait is useless because the trait is designed wrongly. Instead of buffing the damage, buff the reliability of the skill. Physical skills are designed to be control.
Grandmaster trait- Physical Training: Physical skills are faster. 20% cooldown reduction on physical skills.
Kick and Throw bolas are now instant.
Bull’s Rush leap is 50% faster.
Stomp now takes 1/2 cast time to use.
Why Grandmaster trait? Because I want to see Triple Physical skill to be the new meta.
4x Necromancer, 3x Mesmer, 4x Guardian, 4x Thief, 4 Revenant
I disagree.
Shouts should remain support.

4x Necromancer, 3x Mesmer, 4x Guardian, 4x Thief, 4 Revenant
How would you balance this?
The way I would balance this is: Confusing images no longer damages enemy and no longer cleaves. This way, enemies will not feel forced to attack the mesmer in a 1v1 situation.
CI is no longer a passive debuff and it now plays an active role in shutting down players.
4x Necromancer, 3x Mesmer, 4x Guardian, 4x Thief, 4 Revenant
So if I coordinate with a Necro I can supply a group with 25 stacks of confusion and the initial guy will have already blown their cleansing? Sounds like something nerfed a day after. :P
Your necro will only be spreading 25 stacks of confusion for 1 second to the entire group.
4x Necromancer, 3x Mesmer, 4x Guardian, 4x Thief, 4 Revenant
Confusing Images- Inflicts 25 stacks of confusion each pulse.
0 Damage, no cleaving damage.
Channel time- 1-3 seconds.
What it does is that every second, the targeted enemy will gain 25 stacks of confusion. I would like to see Mesmer scepter be a shutdown weapon set and making Scepter be more like Empathy from GW1.
http://wiki.guildwars.com/wiki/Empathy
Yes, it is meant for you to not attack while you are struck by confusing images. Anyone who does deserve to die and doesn’t deserve to cry nerf.
I figure this skill would be more fun than just passive confusion.

Zerk stance is great for running into the battle and away from battle.
Enemies will focus fire with cripple, bleed, poison, burn, chill, and everything onto you because you’re the closest and out of position. If the enemy sees you as free kill, they wasted their condis on you.
Zerk stance is great for running away. No enemies can slow you down.

Unsuspecting foe is only good when combined with Skullcrack, Bugged Para Sigil, and 100b + against terrible players.
100b is more of an issue than unsuspecting foe. There’s literally no way to land the move WITHOUT first stunning your target.
Mace/shield and GS warriors are low mobility + melee range. It is a high risk build.
It requires players to know how to maneuver around warriors and dodge an attack every 7 second.

If anything, the damage is just too extreme. Lower it a bit, and it’s fine.
I disagree.
Bear form is a 8 minute cooldown.
4x Necromancer, 3x Mesmer, 4x Guardian, 4x Thief, 4 Revenant
The problem with it being flashy is that it will make the game more unplayable than it already is..
Think of 10 Arc of the Convienant”, 6“Nightmare World”, 20“Call of the Risen”, and 12“Skritt Maintenance Crew" all showed up on the screen at the same time.
4x Necromancer, 3x Mesmer, 4x Guardian, 4x Thief, 4 Revenant
Some people already struggle with this “easy mode” … adding hard-mode would just further divide community.
Do you play all dungeons with all professions or just your usual warriors/guardians?
Easy mode is balanced around, “Get off the red circles”, “L2Dodge!”, or “Stack here.” This is not difficult once you figure out the patterns.
An ideal hardmode is that it enforces teamwork using control, support and damage.
- Use a cripple to stop a mob leaping at you.
- Toughness and vitality actually have a difference in survivability.
- Use the amount of unreliable interrupts you have to prevent damage on your tank.
- Boon strips/weakness/protection to trivalize a mob damage.
- Mobs healing to enforce control options.
If you use control, you will kill your enemies faster than pure DPS groups.

I completely disagree with the topic.
It is stupid and just needs to be deleted.
I like AI pets and I hope Anet never change it.
4x Necromancer, 3x Mesmer, 4x Guardian, 4x Thief, 4 Revenant
One thing I want to change about Conjure is that it should always take the stats of the elementalist.
This way, playing as a Glass Elementalist and I conjure up a Lava axe, my tanky buddy will do more damage. If I play as a Healing elementalist and I drop a frost bow, my glass buddy can heal players as much as I can.
4x Necromancer, 3x Mesmer, 4x Guardian, 4x Thief, 4 Revenant
I like most of them, especially the Conjure weapon.
I disagree with environmental weapons. I rather not have them at all.
Bosses with perma Retaliation, effected by players defense.
This will force players to find a fine balance between attack and defense. Glass cannons will be forced to reduced their damage output because their fragile characters can’t survive their own DPS.
I completely disagree with this one.
Instead, I would like bosses to use active retaliation. In which they will take the time to cast a spell to put retaliation on themselves.
This way, Boon strip professions will be useful here.
4x Necromancer, 3x Mesmer, 4x Guardian, 4x Thief, 4 Revenant
It only increase crit chance when the target is stunned.
Nope, doesn’t need a nerf.
4x Necromancer, 3x Mesmer, 4x Guardian, 4x Thief, 4 Revenant
It really depends on how you want to play.
Off-hand sword will give you a nice bleed + torment. Great for sustained damage.
Shield will give you a stun. It locks the enemy player from moving, dodging and attacking. Great for burst.
Sword is best paired with Sword. MH sword has tons of cripple. MH sword’s adrenaline does immobilize as well, so you don’t really need the stun.
Axe is best paired with shield. The problem with axe is that the adrenaline skill is easily dodgable. You need a stun to go with it.
4x Necromancer, 3x Mesmer, 4x Guardian, 4x Thief, 4 Revenant
Blackpowder -> move out of that field. lol common sense
Headshot -> does no damage, are you trying to interrupt my heal? oh wait oops my heal has no activation time
Pistolwhip -> lols i didn’t see a single S/P thief
Cripple -> does nothing when Im just bunkering this point
Poison -> Cleansing ire with LB burst
Bleed -> Haven’t really run into any condition thieves really.
Blackpowder- You are still blinded when you move out of the field. By the time you hit that thief, he can just fart another blackpowder.
Headshot is good in stopping any attack.
Pistolwhip- I saw a hundred of these yesterday.
Poison- Thief’s dagger auto spams these like it is nothing.
Bleed- Calthrop.
4x Necromancer, 3x Mesmer, 4x Guardian, 4x Thief, 4 Revenant
The problem with dungeons is not that trinity is useless.
The problem with dungeons is that Control and support are useless. The problem is that the group can be completely 100% DPS role without much trouble. The problem is that dungeons can be done with only dodging. You don’t need defensive skills, which have high cooldowns. It’ll be a waste, and you’re better off using a more damage support utility.
If I can throw a cripple/daze/knockback around and it will actually make a positive difference, then the game will be 10 times better.
4x Necromancer, 3x Mesmer, 4x Guardian, 4x Thief, 4 Revenant
It is hard to l2p when thieves are always farting blackpowder, headshot, and pistolwhip like it is nothing. It is hard to l2p when a single thief massive cripple, poison, bleed you to death.
No, Healing signet needs buff. A thief shouldn’t be allowed to kill warriors when the thieves are trying their best. In a 1v1 situation, a thief should rethink and just run away from the warrior.
4x Necromancer, 3x Mesmer, 4x Guardian, 4x Thief, 4 Revenant
I was told that healing signet is the most OP skill.
I equipped it and I still get killed easily by a thief.
If Healing signet doesn’t protect me from a thief, I think it should get buffed more. Healing Signet is not OP enough to protect me from thieves.

I disagree on loot.
We already have good unique loot already.
There are RNG loot from champions and there are Gated loot that you can buy with tokens. If you raise the RNG of the champion loot, then those loot will be trash.
What Anet needs to do is to make Control and Support role useful.

I wouldnt say guild groups are sensitive. They just communicate with each other and are unlikely to waste time keeping someone in a group if they all feel like they would be better off without you. When I run dungeons with my buddies we pug the extra slots and occasionally we get terrible players, if its mid run we will stick it out till the end, unless they are preventing our progress, then kick them and find a replacement for the next path.
When I mean sensitive, I mean sensitive completely. From the 20 terrible guild groups I joined in, they reacted with kicking me out of the group with me criticizing and advising on how to do it.
And this is being kicked from the first criticism from all 20 of them. I didn’t even get to nag a second time.
A pug group wouldn’t kick me from the first criticism. A pug group would only kick me if I continued to nag.
Yes, Guild groups are extremely sensitive.

Instead, I would like Crossbow just be a Longbow or Rifle reskin, but mainly rifles only.
Crossbows are held the same way rifles are held. With a simple projectile and sound effect change, crossbow will fit perfectly.
