Why does Anet promote toxicity?

The most comical part about it is that they pretend to fight toxicity by denying us ability to view other players performance in after game stats. What sense does it make there? I want to see how other party members did I want to compare my stats to their and to enemy. If I see other person with similar spec I want to know how they did compared to me (be it ally or enemy). The after game scene makes no sense either. Not only is it distracting. All the useless windows that pop up cover it anyways and their timing is horrible as well! I always manage to close the stats windows before it shows up cuz its so slow.

I would love to view other players performance and make them feel bad for performing bad.

Warrior Elite Spec suggestion: Cavalier

Cavalier is a mount oriented spec. The warrior will gain a passive +40% movement speed buff when using their mount. However, they also lose the maneuverability of a unmounted character. What Cavalier brings to the table is their speed. This differentiate themselves from berserkers who are the murderbots and ragelords, while Spellbreakers are the boonrippers and support. On the otherhand, I do not see this elite spec as a fractal/raid at first sight. But as a sPvP, WvW, and casual PvE will see this spec a lot.

Mechanic: Mounts.

  • Pressing F2 will allow you to mount up on your combat mount. This gives you +40% movement speed while losing the ability to turn instantly.

In a perfect world, I would love the ability to use any mounts. But I am fine with just having only a raptor mount. But I just can’t see any other mount being the “combat” mount.

Changes to weapons

Any movement skills while mounted are changed. Sword 2, GS 3, GS5 and Hammer burst will use another completely new skill.

Bull’s Rush will remain unchanged as a utility skill.

Grandmaster traits:

  • Cavalry’s rush- While mounted, you gain a F3 skill: Cavalry rush. This skill gives a 1500 range rush. Enemies in the way will be launched aside(range 300). 15 second cooldown.

The purpose of this trait is a disruption role. While also giving the feeling of a cavalry charge.

  • Skirmisher straps- You gain better control of your mount. Your mount can turn instantly. Also gain +10% damage and +10% condi duration.

The purpose of this trait is a flexible one. It is for 2 kinds of people, the ones that want to melee while mounted and the second is for ranged mounted cavalier that want to hit people from afar, with the superior speed the melee players can’t reach the player especially when they are dropping traps.

  • Charioteer- You gain the ability to use a chariot. Any player can ride the chariot. Up to 1 other player can use the chariot. F3 skill allows the cavalier to kick the player off. Skills are usable while on the chariot.

This trait is the Cavalier’s support trait. I feel this might be a fun trait to have. You can use this to give other people rides on your mount. But most importantly, skills that roots players on the ground such as Meteor storm or Deadeye’s kneel are usable while the chariot is moving. I also want the chariot to pick up downed players and move them to a safe spot for them to res. However, melee players can move around until they get off the chariot.

I chose these three traits to be grandmaster because they really change the way how cavalier is played.

Master Traits:

  • Trap master- Traps are now instant. 20% reduced cooldown for traps.

This is suppose to be used in conjunction with Cavalry’s Charge. This is so that you can drop traps on enemies while charging. With Cavalry’s charge + trap master, you can be a very powerful CC role. It can also work well with Skirmisher straps and Chariot.

  • Raptor’s ferocity- Mounted player(s) gain 500 ferocity.

A damage buff for the cavalier. Players in chariots will gain the buff as well. If Cavalier becomes a raid spec, charioteer + Raptor’s ferocity would be the must-have traits. But it is made especially for skirmisher straps trait with the damage bonus accumulation. Especially when melee and ranged mounted cavaliers can reliably do more damage.

  • Heal speed- Mounted player(s) gain health over time while mounted.

This trait is a support and/or tank trait. This is made for the Charioteer trait as a medic-chariot build, the medic-chariot would swoop in and save downed or low health players and then escape. This also works with every other grandmaster traits as a tanking trait for some extra survivability.

Utility skills: Traps.

I chose traps because traps are great for meleeing and skirmishing. While on the move, cavalier can drop traps to slow enemies down. A cavalier that brought Calvary charge trait could just charge at the enemy and then drop a trap on them.

Example skills

  • Healing- Hidden healing crates- Any ally that triggers this trap will gain a burst of healing.
  • Smoke trap- causes blindness to enemies.
  • Cripple trap
  • Elite- Ambush trap- Summons five cavalier to charge at whoever is on the trap and then disappear.

Buy raid spots from the LFG. It can cost around 100g give or take.

This is so you can unlock the raid masteries. I had to do it because no one wanted me in their raid spots for free.

I dont want people spamming me dual messages in PvE.

The same way gold causes people to spam begging messages. So, should ANet remove gold because I am worried about people begging at me for gold?

I had 8 messages from gold beggars this week. Map chat was full of gold beggars looking to complete their “legendary.”

Current Strength specialization has even less options for such builds. Axe has great synergy with Might Makes Right, but if you are looking for more Axe synergy tou have it in Discipline.

Except the master tier and adept tier doesn’t really synergize all that well. And the point is, none of the traits you propose is what I want.

I just don’t see any synergy with an axe/axe or any other dps traits, that isn’t for Greatsword, I would want to bring for my warrior.

Leftover Mastery Points Shop?

Instead of a Leftover mastery shop, how about a Mastery Excess system to turn the leftover mastery points to Magic find, Karma gain, Gold gain, etc.

If you put a mastery point to Magic find, you get +1% MF. But you can also retract the mastery point and put it somewhere else or give it to your mastery.

Also, the mastery excess system is locked and all mastery points get refunded until you get all mastery skills. This is so that no one feels pressured to not put points into mastery skills.

In terms of the stated purpose of the surplus, that’s not any different; it’s still a “use” for the excess.

The difference is that if ANet decide to add more mastery skills that uses more mastery points. Players can reuse their points rather than find out that they cannot use it anymore because they spent it on the mastery shop.

T3 fractals is unplayable for me

No matter which T3 Fractal it is, I get a bug where it turns my screen to black.

Today, I tried both Aetherblade from both T4 and T3. Aetherblade in T4 does work, but T3 gives me the black screen. I also tried other fractals in T3. I can type things onto it, but I won’t be able to see anything.

T2 and T1 is fine for me also.

I would’ve merged axe and GS traits together. Both giving might and giving 20% reduce cd.

  • I would like to talk to npc and gather crafting materials without kicking me off my mount. It feels like a big hassle to be kicked off when doing either.
  • My raptor has one dye slot that is barely noticeable. I want to customize my raptor far more than that.
  • I would like to be able to glide whenever I am on a mount. I fell to my death from a big cliff because I expected to be able to glide. Let gliding kick the user off the mount.
  • I would like to have a mountless mount, which is just the player running at the same speed as mounts. When I was not using my mount and traveling the world, it just felt unnecessarily big and empty. I understand that the map was made with mounts and mind. It would be extremely difficult to make map smaller while tuning down the mount speed to be in line with player’s speed. So the easier choice is to make players more faster. I don’t think that some of my characters would look good riding a mount, this suggestion would give choices to players that just don’t want to use mounts, afterall there was countless people that dislike mounts in this forum. If there needs to be a lore reason to have mountless mounts, make the mount a Djinn spirit that buffs the player faster speed.
  • I would like to be able to get on mounts immediately after battle. It felt so clunky to wait to get out of combat, especially when a single stack of 30 seconds of poison can stop me from getting on a mount. I hate Choyo because they explode in death which keeps me getting on my mount faster. My suggestion to fix this is that the game checks if there is any enemy nearby in a 600 range radius while in combat and ignore condis when getting on a mount. This will make getting on and off mounts more fluid and less clunky.
  • A major major gripe for me is the Aksim heart in the Sinken Ruin where the Cave Screamers are. The cave constantly drop AoE everywhere with long duration stuns and cripple.

Just some criticism I found while playing the beta so far. There were a lot that I like about the beta such as the bounty system, the ability to talk to the Herald that shows me where all the events are and the raptor mount.

I disagree with OP and I dislike raids because I could never be able to join a raid.

I don’t really care how difficult fractals are, as long as I can actually join a pug that won’t stop me from joining just because I am inexperienced in that content.

None of the advice the ‘raiders’ tips on how to join a raid are working for me.

So you either lack the time for it, or you aren’t dedicated enough. Which is perfectly fine, by the way.

I looked for a raid in my every waking moment using whatever tips for 3 months but I got tired of it. You could tell me to keep spending another 3 months to look for it, and I might get a raid. I still wouldn’t consider it accessible.

But whatever, no matter what I say, you rather stop people like me from enjoying raids from changes that would have zero effect to you.

Then we must remove the experienced ppl from the equation (just like Dungeons + Fractals) and put a ‘’hard block’’on the liquid rewards they can earn per month from the HoT raids , or put them on 2-week cooldown when completed (killing the end boss) .
It will push them to the newly expanion .

Theres a 15% chance that new casuals ppl will stick to the HoT raids to kill the most easy bosses on a daily farm routine , or avoid them entirely for more simplier actions in the next expansion .

Or they can transform them into daily minigames in LA portal ( as a trainning wheel or so that the design wont get wasted) , replacing them bosses with adorable-cuddly small forms that have the same pattern of attacks but in 3 stages/difficulty that the players must fullfil to complete it , while your auto-attack shoots cuddly hearts and the rest of attacks offer Healing + Protection to your team8s only

And by completing it , he will give you quest that will sent you to kill a dailly easy boss in the Raid , while offering you 150 stats in your primary atributes (to meet the stat difference between the exotic-ascendant gear) for the l33t players that insist that you must have ascendant , before joining

Or people can stop being scrubs and l2p. Raids are already in farm mode and W4 is ridiculously ez. There’s no reason to change mechanics or additional difficulty lvls.

If only I could l2p in the first place by these raid farmers letting me join their raids.

How do you suppose the active raiders learned it? Born with the abilities? Granted by a divine intervention? Transferred to them with alien technology?

Stability needs fix before spellbreaker comes

As long as:

  • Getting rid of the breakbar doesn’t give 4 seconds of stun. I would hate it if a guardian gives me a breakbar to prevent a daze and I get 4 seconds of stun.
  • Cripple, immobilize, chill does nothing to the breakbar. Stability never prevent those at all.

Then I would be all for this idea.

Let me get this straight, you want 5 man challenging content that is the stepping stones for raiding to NOT feel like a raid ?

I don’t even anymore.

And yes one person can cause a wipe, but it only takes 3 people to remove the problem. Either they learn or they don’t in which case you can remove them.

As for length, are we deluding ourselves here ? I did the entire thing yesterday in ~23 minutes which included 1 wipe at Arkk.

Yes, I would like Fractals not to feel like a raid.

It is impossible for me to get a group for raids unless I am already experienced. There is supposedly holy trinity in raids.

If this is what raids are, then I don’t want Fractals to be like a raid.

Bunker Meta so boring!

Remove Toughness and vitality stats from armors. Make new stats: Aggression and Denial.

Aggression- Increase hard CC duration/intensity.

Denial- Increase slows duration/intensity.

There is no more bunker meta. Everyone is glassy, but people with pure aggression/denial stats hit like a wet noodle while rely on active skills to keep themselves alive.

If You Had a Choice Of New Class

I don’t think we need anymore classes because future elites can cover pretty much anything we can think up.

Having said that I would like a class/elite that is musically inclined. Say oh I don’t know a “bard” or something. Instead of shouts they could sing or play a musical instrument. I would think Mes would be a good choice or maybe Engi as well.

I prefer Bard to be a Thief’s elite spec with a Longbow. Since it fits the DnD/Dragon Age Bard class better.

Mesmer can have Minstrel as a Elite spec with their Phantasm that is equipped with a harp.

Guardian can be the Skaald/Paragon with their Warhorns.

I disagree because I paid 100g to get through VG so I can unlock raid masteries. OP, you should just buy raid spots instead.

Ahh wait… So thats what “challenging group” content is all about: The “PVE have’s” harvest “PVE have not’s” to unlock somewhatsit… Of course the 1% LOVE the PR lovechild: “Challenging group content” = steady dweeb income.

Embrace it Anet: 800 gem autokill on VG = win!
1600 gems entire wing = doublewin!

I am sure the regular bunch of defenders will advocate just how well thought out this new gemstore item would be: Not p2w – Stupid detractors just need to convert gold-gems and embrace the wonder.

If I can’t join a raid without being kicked, then it isn’t really forgiving.

If you join a group with certain demands that you dont have of course you will be kicked, and its not a raid problem. If I doing fractal 100 cm run exp / pots/ food and you join without the title and pots and food of course i will kick you the same with raids.
You wanting to force yourself in other people groups without take in consideration what people are asking for is the problem not the raids.

At least I don’t get kicked if I join a daily t4 group where as I do get kicked if I join any kind of raid group.

How about a lowly skilled group? I can’t be a highly skilled player if I can’t learn the boss.

You can’t be highly skilled if your only request is to be carried by those that already do instead of learning the skills yourself.

I can’t learn the skills myself if no one takes me in the first place.

As someone who got Elite specs for all of my 43 characters. I wouldn’t mind if ANet gets rid of Champs in HoT HP, but it isn’t hard to get 250 HP for the elite specs.

In VB HP, just ask for help in the map. Most of the HP is soloable by channeling anyways. Wait for night so that you can reach the guano hp.

In AB HP, start a HP train. I can get a group easily for it. There are a ton of champs.

By the time you reach TD, you only need 2-3 HP. There are enough soloable ones. If you don’t have the masteries for the solo ones. Start a HP train.

If you have updraft use and jumping mushrooms you don’t have to wait for night to reach the guano HP. However, that’s the hardest HP to beat in the zone, so if you don’t like difficult content you might think about skipping that one.

You don’t have to wait for night, but you need a group to do that event. At night, there is always a group that wants to do Guano HP.

You don’t need to skip that one. Just set a timer for the time when chopper to come down to take people to canopy. Then you can go back to get that HP.

You can complete pretty much all encounters with 50% of the dps of a highly skilled group, that’s how forgiving the bosses are. Mechanics wise there are some punishing ones and some not so punishing, but it’s not like they require a degree in rocket science to learn.

How about a lowly skilled group? I can’t be a highly skilled player if I can’t learn the boss.

Why? What would the point be when Raids aren’t that hard to do currently? Or this about wanting rewards of Raids without putting in the time and effort? What would easy mode provide the game that doesn’t already exist? And you have to remember Raids were and are designed for a specific target audience who asked for Anet to provide them with content tailored to their needs of challenging group content that takes coordination.

I would like to be able to join raids and put time and effort to learn without being kicked for being too inexperienced.

Please give all of the Hearts in the core zones a character-bound Jug of Liquid Karma or something. The hearts don’t have to be repeatable like the LS3.

I just want to feel like I am being rewarded when I am doing world completion.

I do think that this would have made for a good account-bound mastery, if that had existed in 2012-3 when ANet was setting up the AR system.

However, account-bound mastery is no longer the realistic option anymore because of what you said.

People who don’t fractal don’t necessarily need ascended and people who do should be able to manage to have a couple of shared armor sets.

  • People who don’t play Fractal will still be able to access Fractals because they won’t need Ascended gear. The agony leveling system will level them up all the way to 150 even with only exotic gear. Even if they do not touch Fractals, it will be welcoming because they will not hit the ascended/agony wall.
  • People who do fractals have the ability to play with any kind of gear. Rather than wasting 600g on a new set of ascended armor. I can go for the cheaper exotic gear. Meaning, if I feel like it, I can just get exotic cleric gear instead of wasting on a useless ascended cleric gear just for testing.

In other words, as you’ve presented it, I wouldn’t like to see it in game. I’d prefer for ANet to work on something else. However, if they agreed, I’m sure I’d level up a toon (but not more than one).

However, ANet are working on Fractals, but it isn’t very alt-friendly or welcoming. This QoL change will see use. If ANet agree with this, you may level up more than 1 toon because you could be bored with your current one. I know I get bored with playing with just only 1 toon. I would at least level 9 out of my 40 characters so that I can have a full class roster that can play fractals without needing 150 AR worth of ascended gear. Maybe more if I get bored and want to progress my characters after doing the fractal dailies.

I understand your love for Account-bound Agony resist, but just as you said. It isn’t realistic anymore.

99% of people will agree onto that, because making any system character-bound is arbitrarily forcing you to repeat the exact same activity you once did for your main X times for each of your alts. Of course you can choose NOT to do it (which is what most people will do), but then you’ll be missing out on it.

You can always craft Ascended Gear and buy agony infusion if you don’t like the permanent AR grind. Just like what we have currently. Ascended Gear is account-bound anyways.

That means, you can choose NOT to do it(grind out agony levels), and you won’t be missing out on it(T4 Fractals).

Currently we’re locked into a stupid outdated system because it’s deeply rooted into the game and Anet can’t do anything about it unless they’re willing to re-do everything from scratch

The pro about this is that ANet won’t have to rework everything from the start. ANet can simply just make an addition of completing each unique Fractal levels giving permanent AR to each character. Agony infusion will still be there and still useful.

To me that sounds like making fractals less friendly to alts, since it will take far longer than it does now to get to 150. If you’re suggesting that this permanent AR should be in addition to the removable infusions, then you’re undercutting the market for AR, which is among the rewards for completing fractals; ANet would have to rebalance.

I am not suggesting removing infusion in the game. This is an addition to go with Agony infusion. Making this agony-leveling character bound is there to make Agony infusion useful. Meaning if I want to make my newly character Druid to go to T4, then I would have to buy the ascended gear and infusion to go with it vs. Level up through 1-100.

What about the people who have already done 1-100? Will they get to choose which character gets permanent AR150? What about those who have done 10 on one character, 10 on another, and 10 on a third — will they have to do 270 fractals to buff all three?

Nope. They will have to start with 0 Agony resist levelingwise. However, they should have 150 AR gearwise already if they already did 1-100.

It seems like a lot of work without a clear benefit for the majority of people interested in fractals.

It is a clear benefit because I will not need to make a entire set of Ascended Gear for all my characters that I want to go to Fractals with. Instead, I can just Agony-level one character and get partial Ascended gear to get the agony resist required or I can just agony level my character all the way. If I am impatient, I can just craft Ascended Gear and instantly get my character to T4. Newer players can simply progress through the Fractals to get to T4 without needing to craft the expensive Ascended Gear.

This isn’t a replacement, this is an addition.

I have a suggestion: Agony-Resistance leveling.

Every time you complete a Fractal level, the character, that completed the level, will level up their agony resistance. It is permanent and the character will keep that agony resistance forever.

  • Agony-resistance leveling will be character bound. This is so that lower fractal levels will be played. It will also keep agony infusion useful for the instant agony resist. It will take a lot of time to get a character to T4.
  • Agony-resistance leveling will be granted for every unique instance level completed. This means that players cannot grind fractal 40 over and over again to get a permanent 150 Agony resist. They have to complete every single level from 1 to 100 to get a permanent 150 agony resistance.

This suggestion is to make Fractals more alt-friendly while giving progression for every other alt-characters.

Nerf the healing and nerf defense line……done. I agree, making AH grandmaster would be perfect idea. Can put rousing resilience as our t2 option (replace mace mastery or the one that gives you 100 power…both r dumb tbh). That way people choose between an endure pain at 50% hp or something that gives you damage reduction and heals…….MAKES SENSE. Then ur tier 3 ones can be AH, cleansing ire, and defiant stance or whatever its called (people would still use that for pve, although it could use a buff to make it chooseable over the other 2. ON THE OTHER HAND…..its a pretty good threesome compared to most of the others in warrior traits…so just leave it its fine).

Nerf both so that warriors stops being viable. k

A Suggestion For Raids

This comes up a lot so I’m going to jump in quickly since it’s a new post.

Tier systems for Raids come up a lot as a result of what Fractals did. I worked on the original Fractals team and a tiered system with increased difficulty scaling was always part of the original plan for that team. It was never a plan for Raids. They are, and should remain, the most difficult content in the game.

Accessibility in terms of difficulty is something we talk a lot about internally. We’ve made efforts to help players get in by delivering entry level encounters that ease you into the content (STK) and you’ll see more of that in the next release. You’ll still see encounters that live up to previous raid expectations for mid tier and final bosses. And if you think Matthias is a chump then we have something for you as well.

Accessibility in terms of “Hey, my 5 man Fractal group wants to try raids, but we can’t find 5 other players!” is also something we talk about. It’s just a much more difficult problem to solve.

Then you can stop discussing about how to make raids accessible internally and externally. You will never find the answer as long as you keep raids requiring a lot of players and a lot of coordination. Your[ANet] efforts to the problem will and has always been nothing but vain.

I spent around 3 months looking for raids non-stop and no one wanted me. I tried every trick in the book, such as going to a guild group, putting up a lfg, joining “everyone welcome”, lying and joining a elitist peepz only, joining chatrooms, whatever. I only manage to finish a raid because I paid for a spot just to unlock the raid masteries. I don’t blame them. They don’t want an inexperienced player in their team.

Your “efforts to help players get in by delivering entry level encounters that ease you into the content” solves nothing towards the issue and that is only the kindest way I can get that message to you crystal clear. There is only one way to improve accessibility; Make raid tiers. Give up that notion that Raids “are, and should remain, the most difficult content in the game.” Otherwise, stop talking about improving accessibility. You cannot have both at the same time.

Splitting Core specialization and Elite specialization- This splits core specs from elite specs completely. Elite specs will have their own traits while core specs have their own traits. None of the core and elite specs are truly shared.

Why have this? There is the short term reason and the long term reason on why it is very important.

Short term, Core specialization are nerfed because of elite specialization. By splitting the two, ANet can nerf elite specialization without hurting the core specialization. Thus, making elite specialization a side grade rather than a upgrade. ANet can revert the nerf on Moa form for mesmers while keeping the nerfed version for Chronomancer. Secondly for the short term, Core specialization would have their mechanics be stronger than the elite specialization using the core spec’s mechanic. A Warrior’s F1 skill would be stronger than a Berserker’s non-berserk F1 skill.

Long term, newer Elite specialization will also have to be balanced against its predecessor elite specs. If a core trait is a problem, then not everyone gets hurt. The core and the older elite specs will remain the same while the newer elite gets nerfed. Secondly for the long term, Newer elite specialization and existing elite specialization can actually have their mechanics to be original. As an example, Druid pets can be removed completely because Traits depending on pets can either be modified or removed completely. Newer Elite specs for engineer could get rid of the toolbelt skills(with some necessary changes) while adding completely new mechanics.

These suggestions aren’t meant to be an easy fix, I know that. These suggestions are meant to be worth the dev’s time as a direction for balance. I would like to see all skills to be viable. The small details to balance can be left to the devs. I would like to see more variety of builds instead of devs just playing whack-a-mole balancing with the strongest build for each class.

I put this in Guild Wars 2 discussion rather than PvP subforum because these suggestions affects all. I am playing PvE recently while I used to play PvP in the past while it was fun. My suggestions is to aim for balance for both game modes. I don’t know enough WvW to make a judgement.

There are four suggestions that I would like to see happen.

1. Charges
2. Traits Minor bonuses
3. Toughness and Vitality removed for Aggression and Denial
4. Splitting Core specialization and Elite specialization

Charges- First is charges, charges are simply a mechanic that allows skills to have a limit more than one on the number of uses. For example, a warrior could have charge of 2 in their kick utility skill. This allows the warrior to consecutively kick two times. Not every skill is going to need this, so don’t worry about triple endure pain.

Why have this? ANet can then have another layer of balance. Right now, it is Cooldown vs. Effect. How much cooldown should this skill be before it becomes useless/overpowered? Instead, ANet could give useless skills and skills with long cooldown extra charges. Also, I expect almost all skills to have one charge.

As a side note: The 30+ second cd party healing skills like Healing Spring, and well of blood would have 30% less self healing while having two charges. Thus having more uses in party support.

Traits minor bonuses- Secondly, Trait minor bonuses are traits with a secondary use. As an example, What if Forceful Greatsword gave might on any weapon skills, while additionally Greatsword gain +10% damage and 20% cooldown reduction. Also, this will extend to fall traits, and other utility skills/weapon skills trait; Giving those niche traits some small bonuses to make it useful for all builds.

Why have this? I would like to have more choices. Don’t limit my choice down to two just because I don’t have this particular weapon/utility skill. The other two traits may not even work at all with my build. This skyrim mod is the example of what I am suggesting.? In this mod, the skill, ‘Bladesman – Attacks with one-handed swords are 30% faster. Attacks with all other weapons are 15% faster.’ This perk is useful even if I don’t use swords at all. I could use axes but I would bring the bladesman perk because I attack 15% faster.

Toughness and Vitality removed for Aggression and Denial- this is about removing all the toughness and vitality for a new stat called Aggression and Denial. Aggression is a stat that empowers or extend disables skills. Denial extends slows like Immobilize, chill, and cripple. Meanwhile, condis and other debuffs that do not fit in either categories do not gain a stat of their own. Disables and slows base stat will be reduced to 1 second maximum. Players with no aggression and denial stat can use their cc skills to interrupt rather than crowd control. More Aggression and Denial does more damage to the breakbar.

Why have this? In PvE, toughness and vitality are simply worthless. It is only good at allowing yourself to make more mistakes instead of protecting your allies. In other mmos, toughness and vitality would be useful because players can tank mobs to keep them off allies. There are no such role in Guild Wars 2, toughness and vitality is a selfish stat. The nomad player can protect their party by CCing enemies and use slow skills to stop enemies movement.

In the PvP side, ANet cannot balance Toughness and Vitality. Bunker amulets are being removed. With aggression and denial, battles become more team focused and professions can have more roles. Meanwhile ANet could create more game mode with balance easily transferable. Without toughness and vitality, battles would be more shorter because there wouldn’t be a bunker vs. bunker. No bunker stats is going to keep players alive, only active skill would. Meanwhile stability and stun breaks become less important because players can’t bring full damage + CC at the same time, although they can balance it.

I would like to feel like a tank by protecting my allies by getting on the enemy’s face and ccing them rather than vs. having tons of armor while letting all my allies die before me because my toughness doesn’t actually help them.

Infinite Mist Potions

The reason is very simple. Now ppl need to buy 3 more shared slots to conveniently use em on all characters.

I have maxed slots. I would buy 3 more if I could. But I don’t have any more room.
