4x Necromancer, 3x Mesmer, 4x Guardian, 4x Thief, 4 Revenant

I would try and put my build on there, but i have 0 idea how to wiki edit
To create a new page:
You see this link?
http://metabattle.com/wiki/Build:Herald_-_Power_Shiro
Type in “Build:Berserker – insert build name here” replacing the end of the link. Don’t worry about underscores(_), the link will fill it up for you. Then Create a new page.
To edit the page:
Copy the template from here by clicking Action, which is in the upper right hand corner, and then click edit when the drop down box appear. This will open up the template of the build. You can copy that big wall of text and paste it in your new page.
Replace the traits and skills. Make sure that rating = draft and that it shouldn’t be rating = test. This is so that you can still finish creating your build.
If you have troubles, you can go onto the metabattle discord channel.

good warriors don’t use meta battle. Bad ones should just go play rev. Warrior is too hard to play right now for people that need to copy builds. Thats honestly how I feel about it. Seriously and it’s not to be mean.
Those Good Warriors should submit their build to Metabattle then.
Play in the enemy team please. I like having free wins.
I believe that Guild Wars 2 is causing me not to just disconnect from the game itself but from the internet itself.
I had months and years of disconnection from the Guild Wars 2. I always thought it was a problem with my internet. So I didn’t mind. then I took a break to play some other games and MMORPG. Ever since then, I never had a disconnection issue. When I came back to play GW2, I had disconnection issue every 10 minutes.
Ask for a resign feature instead. I will continue to afk because I do not want to leave spawn just to get steamrolled over and over again.
I think esports is necessary. It tells us what builds needs a nerf or not.
Not in the slightest, because some classes are overpowered in PvP matches, while these strengths are meaningless in the actual game, while others are very weak in PvP, and so get buffs, but these buffs make them OP in the PvE content. Balancing for one is meaningless to achieving balance in the other.
Who cares about PvE?
The builds in PvE will never be balanced. Whoever has the top DPS will be meta, no matter what with an exception of one or two tank/heal builds. PvE doesn’t need any attention.
I think esports is necessary. It tells us what builds needs a nerf or not.
staff = pew pew pew v2.0
Can you explain this sentiment? I feel like the “pew pew” meme nonsense is based on people thinking LB is an OP damage weapon , but staff is one of the least damaging weapons in the entire game.
It is the weapon that gets me a lot of kills. It is far far superior than Longbow.
It is impossible to escape Staff pewpewpew. At least with longbow, I can see the arrow coming and dodge it when I see it near me. I can get out of range because Longbow doesn’t have a mobility skill.
Berserker.
Also, drop Ventari. It is a completely awful legend.
/facepalm
another one…
OK, so here it is:
1, if you see a Guardian on a point you know there are traps!
Stating the obvious, still a inherit problem with the design you cannot admit
2, you can activate them by minions (means dead DH)
And how many classes have that now?
3, you can counterplay it with stability-block-invul-aegis-whatever
Everybody has that right?
4, the DH is a one trick pony… they are either medi trap or full trap (or condi… but God’s help is needed for you to beat a condi guard if you have issues with a standard DH…). Full trap is a piece of kitten absolutely weak and the only purpose is to beat a single idiot. Meditrapper is a bit trickier but they only use 2-3 traps.
Its fine as long as it is one a trick pony since it only needs one trick to kill you? U wot m8
Obvious DH player
Thief doesn’t. No stability. No aegis. One block..which DH has unblockable ranged attacks. So no, not everybody.
And a ton of evasion.
The GW2 cap from launch. I accidentally deleted mine because I didn’t need it. It was a town clothe.
I would like to have DH damage nerf get reverted but there is a cook time of 1 second. Meaning, if the DH trap hasn’t been used within 1 second, it will do maximum damage. If the DH placed the trap under an enemy which causes it to activate immediately, it will do pitiful damage.
This way, traps can actually play as traps.
A fair comparison is to transfusion.
Yes. I do want that.
What is DR and how do you see it?
I don’t want to see DR when I am doing events legitimately.

Well who doesn’t? Actually those who don’t do raids or those who only do them when asked like me don’t. But that’s irrelevant to those who do – so here is your answer:
You have to wait until all 3 wings appear.
Yes I know they could just add the Raid LFG with just 1 sub-group but the thing was probably already coded for all 3 just like the legendary armour collection.
And recoding it 3 times rather than 1 would probably be inconvenient.Think about it do you honestly think ANET doesn’t realise it would be very useful?
Well I mean I’m wodering meself if they have any self-awareness left at all after HoT.
But that would be beyond any level of stupidity thus far.
The amount of LF Raid posts cluttering up the Open world section proves you wrong.
It’s another terrible attempt at updating skills. There wasn’t anything wrong with the skill as it was previously. This version is over the top.
Nothing wrong with the previous SnR skill?
Lol. I don’t think you actually played the previous SnR skill before.
Outside of the cd, please enlighten me. Unlike you, I did play with the skill.
No you did not. If you did, you would know its garbage.
It may be entirely possible that hammer trains were unstoppable in the past, but I do recall pirate shipping already being a thing before the stability change. I understand CC should have value, and maybe you felt left out.
But….
Can anyone clear me on any sources…..
Was any of this intended for World vs World? Did they actually say something on the lines that stability and trains were too strong in WvW? Do you think the stacks of stability granted per skill was considered?
The way I see it, it seems to be centered around PvP and WvW just seems (as usual) as collateral damage. I don’t find that particularly sound even if there are arguments in favor of this.
I think the stab change was two fold, but since esports is getting so much attention (heh) the change was probably primarily focused around that.
Arent you supposed to defend anet with that forum specialist title?
The stab change was purely for WvW.
sPvP has felt no change from the stab skill except for pulsing 1 stack stability. You can’t stun an enemy with 5 stability stacks unless the team is all hammer warriors and the player doesn’t dodge anything.
it would greatly help warrior if warrior players learnt how to play, warrior wasnt that bad before and now he’s absolutely fine
Go play the esportz tournament with a warrior and get your prize.

Imbalanced team is not fun for the losing team.
this is the summery of the entire thread.
I want something for free that other people paid for. Because my free version isn’t as good as the paid version, I am going to make a thread and argue that I deserve to have something for free that others paid for because I am a a member of the entitlement generation.
I will use ANETs old TOS as my talking points that is no longer valid for free users while ignoring the fact that they have every right to change that TOS anytime they want.
I agreed to the current TOS so I don’t really have any case to make my point thanks.
I have the expac and I want sPvP players to have elite specs. I bet most people arguing for it do have the expac as well.
That will just be way too OP. Mind you with outrage this trait heal every 10 sec so about 2k health and 1 condi remove every 2 sec?? That’s more than mending. So you’re suggesting is selfish overall because RR is already OP as it is.
If I can heal 2k hp every 10 second, that means my enemies can stun every 10 second. In that case, shouldn’t the other class with that stun be nerfed?
It’s a team game. No class has 10 sec cd stun. What was I implying was if the enemy team is full or stunner.;in tf you have way too much survavibility
If I can make a team full of stunners and succeed, then the meta is pretty bad and needs to be nerfed.
Look at that level of skill. He stood still like a big target saying “hit me, I’m a free kill!”

it’s not p2w its b2p and you are playing a limited version for free and are complaining, bcuz the rest of us that started before you had to buy the game to play it unlike you.
that being said the issue is that eletes were not what anet promised. ANET promised them to be builds or extensions of base specs that were supposed to offer diversity and not be stronger than base. Instead they were upgrades.
be lucky you don’t have to buy the game twice like we did.
What do you say about players like me, who have the expansion, and still complain that the elite specs are pay 2 win?
What is your argument for me?
Id say thats like we are into racing and both our cars are on the same level and you thing that a honda civic with the only modifications it has are stickers that say fast should be able to compete with our Nissan GTRs. We let the honda owner into our car club becasue its a community, Id say you try to play devils advocate just for the sake or arguing when you have no point.
That made zero sense.
This argument again.
Let’s get some things straight here. Buying an expansion is not considered “pay 2 win”, it’s pay to progress,
Interesting. Unlocking elite specs by buying the game is progression. Even if the journey is
nil.
The biggest issues are ignorance of anything other then 5 vs 5. How about 20 vs 60 assymetric combat for example ?
20 vs. 60 balance matter because…?
Except that I actively used the dodge saving the endurance for the burst and repositioned. Had it not done damage there would be no question about using the dodge actively. In this scenario with damage both the dodge and the damage were active components of play. I didn’t mention hoping to dodge the burst, I kept enough endurance to wait for it and dodge it.
You said, “You aimed your dodge in an attempt to damage them using it as an attack”, thus the intention is clear that your goal is to do damage and relying on evade to passively negate the damage.
However, if you Bound backwards and happen to do damage to someone else, that damage is passive.
Here’s the thing. You mentioned intention here for the determination of a passive or active attack. Say I have untraited dodges with the endurance to use them and the availability of deathblossom. I have the choice of using either. I choose to use deathblossom because I want to counterattack. The intent is to both evade the damage and deal damage back to them. Neither effect is passive there.
The evade is passive.
- If you’re trying to evade target-1 and do damage to target-1, then the evade is passive in this scenario.
- If you’re trying to evade target-1 and damages target-2, then the damage is passive.
- If you’re trying to evade backward from target-1 but target-1 shadowstep to you then you happen to deal damage to target-1, the damage is still the passive.Let’s blur the lines more. Is a skill that reflects a projectile passive or active.
Let’s use the engi flamethrower airblast as the example here. My intent is to stop a kill shot from hitting me. I could dodge it. I choose to reflect it instead. Is the reflection passive? It deals the kill shot back to the warrior. It seems that by your stance on counterattacking would define the reflected shot as a passive effect.
I think the confusion here is the difference between activated vs passive and skill vs effect.
Dodge is an activated skill, but the evade that comes with the dodge is the passive effect.
Activating a skill to apply a reflect effect is obviously not passive, since it is an activated skill. Once the skill is activated, the reflect effect does its thing without addition user input, thus it is passive.
Attacks can have both offensive and defensive aspects to them. That doesn’t make them passive. Deathblossom is not passive, just poorly designed because it’s spammable.
Nobody is saying that DB is passive, rather it has a passive effect depending on how you use it.
Let me put it this way. A boulder thrown by a snow wurm can hit multiple times (I know, used them for daily dodges). If you dodge the boulder, the evade effect will proc multiple times. If evade is not passive, then I will have to activate dodge for each possible hits making multiple activate evades. The fact that I don’t have to actively evade means that the evade effect is passive.
You are trying to separate cause and effect by way of duration. Under this classification, any cleave damage or an attack with multiple impacts would be considered a passive attack.
The attack is an activated skill — the hits, on the other hand, are not. The hit is one of the effects of the attack since the effect of an attack is either a hit or a miss. The initial hit is a direct result of activating the attack, the additional hits are passive effects.
That is a specious argument. That’s like saying you stabbed someone but didn’t kill them because they died of exsanguination.
Bleeding is another passive effect from DB. If they died from bleeding, then they died from bleeding. If you exhaust your initiative from using DB and your target died from multiple stacks of bleeding condition, then yes, they bled to death.
So, lets just speed up the argument and go with this conclusion.
According to this thread, Everything is a passive.
- Auto attack is a passive.
- Boons is a passive.
- Weapon skills is passive.
- Utility skills is passive
- Elite skills is passive.
- Healing skills is passive.
- Immunity is a passive.
- Burst skills is a passive.
- Offensive support is a passive.
- Actives is a passive.
- Passive is passive.
It is simple, core players + expac players will have access to elite specs for their core class. Meaning, warriors have access to Warrior Elite spec.
This way, Core classes only need to balance their elite spec with the other elite spec.
How can this be done:
And can we revert Protect Me to its former form, because that was more useful as well.
Play the shout staff build. It has PM in the current state and it is a strong skill in a strong build.
Tell me more about these cheesy meta builds please. Can’t win a pvp match to save my life.
This guy shows an easy way to own face, it also helps explain “why I never feel skilled anymore”:
What I am seeing is how low the necromancer dps after spamming all the aoe spells on a stationary target.
Can this trait be reverted to its former self where it is astral wisp rotating around the ranger.
At least that trait is more useful than the current lingering light.
Oh my gosh, you little whiney babies think the ANet programmers should work for free? They have to feed their children and keep the heat on. One $30.00 expansion in 3 or 4 years? Get a life. You should consider it a donation for them being so nice. Enough said.
Sound logic. I can’t wait for the +2000 stat boost for sPvP in the cash shop. So many people love pay2win mechanics.
You realise stacking over half a minute of protection with one overload, AoE, was incredibly broken, right?
Kind of true, but in a way kind of not. On its face, it is relatively broken, but given the insane overload cost and the fact that overload earth doesn’t do anything else substantial it was relatively balanced. To clarify, overload earth, while probably having the longest description due to all the garbage attached to it in an attempt to make it worthwhile, did basically nothing besides grant prot. The damage/bleeds are minimal, the final 4s immob takes too long to get and has almost no meaning with everyone taking insane amounts of condi cleanse (due to other classes), the blast finisher is just ….why? (a blast 5s from a cast is all but impossible to use). You will always get more now by just swapping out and coming back, both in the short and long term.
I agree with the change, as it now normalizes earth overload with the other overloads (besides air) as skills that should basically never be cast. Fire is acceptable for downed cleave, but you don’t want to use it in the middle of a fight as being locked out of fire for 20s means no pressure.
20 second cooldown while having 20 other skills is costly to you?
Okay then.
I say that warriors is better off than before even if it is slightly. Not because warriors didn’t get any real buffs but because almost everyone else got a real nerf except for a special few like thief and necro.
The removal of bunker amulet makes it easy for warriors to kill players instead of punching a brick wall.
I’m pretty sure the OP doesn’t give a kitten if you look at it or not. If you’re going to be rude like that just ignore the post and move on if you don’t want to test it. Holy Moly…Thanks for posting OP.
Alright, I won’t test it. It is probably crap.
Why should I test the build when you don’t have the decency to post it?
OP made a video guide on this this build. Check his youtube.
In this video he’s running the NM version.
I will not check his video guide. OP did not make his build in a build editor and post it.
Therefore, I will not test this build because he didn’t have the decency.
Why should I test the build when you don’t have the decency to post it?
If they want to make it viable in both game types it should be like this:
+1 to this!!
This looks like a heal a berserker would use.
Nah, Healing Surge could use that instead.
Blood Reckoning needs the DPS boost back.
Shortbow is viable, it is usually paired with axe.
Poison volley + Spiltblade + splitblade gives a ton of condi burst alone. Whenever rangers says Shortbow is the worst weapon, they are either exaggerating the 1200 range nerf or completely ignorant.
I would like to see Banners get a reduce cooldown to 20 seconds while a reduce duration to 15 seconds.
This way, they’ll be more usable in PvP. A warrior can drop a banner and give buffs to everyone. It’ll annoy the PvE folks a bit, but it won’t destroy banners in PvE.

I think this thread does a better job at convoluting itself with idiotic comments.

I think passive is just another word things that needs nerfing.

You need to buy something to remain relevant. That is literally the definition of P2W. The elites are clearly better than the core classes and are locked behind a pay wall, therefore it is pay to win. Why are you still trying to argue?
The game is buy to play if you wan’t the full game you gotta buy it ,if you don’t want to fine but you cant cry when you have less options than the person who payed for the full game.
This is an expantion pack. As in an addition to the base game. As in not the base game. You would’ve had a point if it was an intrinsic part of the base game, but it isn’t.
Can you name me an MMO expansion pack that doesn’t expand the skill set or power level of those who get it?
Asking this question, making a comparison doesn’t mean expansions are not pay2win. It means people are more tolerant to pay2win aspects.

The reasoning is solid. ANet should add +1000 permanent stat boost in the gemstore for PvP. If you don’t want it fine, but then you can’t cry when you have less option than the person who paid for the stat boost.
If this isn’t pay to win, I’m not sure what is.
I know.
Here is a talk from a manager of Battlefield Heroes and a fascinating look at them converting to pay2win. Its genuinely interesting and even has real insight on forums users like us and outrage on the issue (I won’t spoil the ending).
Worth a watch even just to learn a bit more about gamers and forums as well as actual pay2win system.
Also if we use your definition of ‘pay2win’ then EVERY game with an expansion pack falls into that category making the term meaningless.
You will do a tl;dr. I will not watch that video because it is too long.
The expansion is not pay2win equally as if ANet puts +20000 power sword of one-shot in the cash shop is not pay2win.
