Berserker makes a great (possibly best) bunker buster.
To win reliably with a Bunker Buster, you still need a solid team comp.
Pretty much true of every build.
Also, as great as full zerkerberker is damage-wise, there are stronger bunker buster setups for more assured wins, both on the per-fight, and match win levels.
Anyway, bad players shouldn’t play warrior. True story.
Warriors is the best bunker buster when the enemy isn’t bunker and doesn’t dodge at all.

Warrior or Thief that knows to rotate points and not overcommit on battles > Player on “metabuild” that thinks he should win just because he copy/paste his build from a pro.
When you are in that situation where you have to choose between the two, it is because you have low MMR or playing hotjoin/unranked. A good player using a meta build that knows to rotate points and not overcommit on battles has high MMR.
Stop lowering standards for warriors and say they are fine. A good player with a good build > A good player with a weak build.

I want warriors to be on the enemy team. I don’t want any in my team.
If they were good and I see them kicking my kitten , I would want warriors on my team. But they’re not viable. So the enemy team can have as much warriors as they want. Free wins for me.

I’m going to give the ACTUAL history of the warrior meta:
At the VERY START warriors did incredibly high burst damage with hundred blades + quickness, at this time, quickness meant 100% faster ability use.
Then quickness was nerfed, and so was war.
During this time, warrior was just as bad as it is now in terms of meta.HB warriors were never viable at all. It was a very easy to counter one trick pony.
I guess your opponents never counted dodges.
No need to even dodge. A simple stunbreak and standing back a few steps is enough to shut down the build.
A average player with any build today can easily counter any HB warrior with 100% quickness.

Is there anything that can let soloplayers directly help their server win without finding another group? I see that roaming groups can kill dolyaks, but that doesn’t help the server win. It just delays the other server. The problem with camps and the side objectives is that they are balanced around a small roaming group. This takes way too long for a solo player to complete.
The reason I am asking is because:
- I play at times where no one is awake or around.
- Plenty of WvW servers are dead.
- With some ways to let soloplayers directly help their server win, there would be more players around because they’ll stay to have fun instead of waiting for another player to have fun.
- I like 1v1ing people instead of zerging.
- I don’t have WvW friends.
- More open battles instead of PvDoor.
My suggestions:
- Maybe nerf camps or other objectives so they are more easily captured by a single player only if it is unupgraded.
- Let holding sentries give points to the war score.

I don’t see how having a little bit of hard core content = casual unfriendly.
When that “little bit of hardcore content” gives exclusive things, stop being casual firendly. Only elite and hardocre players will have those items.
I honestly hope that HoT have bad sells, so they rethink about that dilema between casuals and hardcores, and they have to took a side and make a game in future iterationts either for casuals or for hardcores, so we all (casuals and hardcores) can move on to the kind of games we like, or stay.
We’ll know on January/February when sells from 4Q will be public.
Those exclusive things that hardcore can get are optional.

I think traps should actually be traps.
Give traps a 1 second arming time. If a DH drops a trap under the enemy feet, the effects is severely reduced. Traps may last 2 seconds instead of 6 sec. It will do 1000 damage instead of 6000 damage. Also, the daze will not work.
If a DH lets the traps stay inactive for 1 second, the traps will do their big damage if an enemy activates it.

imho, this is a MMO your ment to Stick to one proffession as a main, its not a MoBA where u just click a new god every game, some have put hundreds and hundreds of hours into their main proffessions which range throughout everything.
In PvP, you get upscaled to level 80, and unlock every trait and skills. There is no excuse to not change profession. Even F2P players have two character slots to freely change.
Ranked or not everyone has the choice of what they are, a Good Warrior is More useful then a Bad Mesmer, most FOTMs reroll from their previous mains and absolutely suck with their new choice, im sorry but there is No winning the war, you either get good at 1-2 Proffessions or u are equally bad at them all, sure in ESL its a different story, but no average player has the level of time as they do to perfect everything.
It depends on the mesmer’s skill level. If the mesmer don’t know how to leave spawn, then the mesmer is a better choice. At least, the mesmer won’t feed the enemy team with points.
I will still gladly stand by a Warrior or Thief in SPVP in a ranked team, yes they’re not great no they’re not meta but at the end of the day, its Respectful to reliese when someones got the backbone to grit their teeth through tough times and not give up, warriors are still capable in Low – Average MMR, providing your good at the Proffession, they’re only falling off against Equally skilled players so yes, in Solo queue u can still make use of a Warrior.
You can do that. As long as there is no warriors in my team, its fine. I need warriors on the enemy team. I like free wins.
every proffession gets nerfed and buffed every proffession sees the bottom of Use, poor balancement isnt the Players fault or the Players grief, maybe your the selfish one for expecting them to give their mains up for your game.

on an unrelated note, dude. my main class for pvp was warrior. I dropped when HoT hit. i play it a bit in unranked, & 1v1 with it all the time, but I wouldn’t take it into ranked. ranked is serious. unranked is for goofing.
warrior does nothing for the team that matters & it can’t recover from damage. a warrior has to be carried in teamfights, because he cant heal that 12k trueshot, or that phase smash, or the 10k maul. he just can’t, so someone else has to heal him. we even saw warriors reliance on bunker guard pre HoT.
now everything else people are playing in the meta can burst heal, often AOE burst heal. what can a warrior do that a druid can’t, or that a revenant or scrapper cant? remember warrior is trash teir so even non meta builds from actually good elites will destroy it if played at the same skill level. there is no rational reason to dedicate one of your limited 5 team slots to such a bad class.

I think we should be able to lose an entire division.

- Players can now drop in Division. If you try to tank your MMR in Sapphire Division, you will drop to Emerald if you do it enough.
- Remove Ranked MMR completely. Matches are now decided based on what division you are in. If you are in a division full of noobs, you will rise through the ranks quickly. If you are in a division full of no-lifers, you will fall off your division.
With this, Ranked becomes more about skill rather than grind. There will be zero reason to fight to lose. The only way you can fight Pro-league teams is if you are in a legendary tier.
The first few days will probably be even more chaotic than before because everyone starts on an even level, but people will be placed in their respective ranks eventually.
The next bullet points are necessary but they aren’t the foundation of fixing ranked arenas.
- Rewards for winning in higher divisions is increased. Rewards for gaining a tier/division will still be there as a carrot.
- Add a Legendary Backpack reward track- this is for players that aren’t Pro-league skilled players. They can simply grind in their respective division, but they will grind more slowly in the lower division. In the higher division, this reward track is completely unnecessary because they have all the components necessary for the Legendary Packpack by earning a division. Thus it will reward for skill vs. time. Also, this reward track will only advance in Ranked Arenas. Players cannot farm this reward track in Unranked or Hotjoin.
- Add solo queue because I do not want to play against pre mades.
- Merge/split division if necessary if the population isn’t high enough for a big split like this.
These are necessary for a competitive environment.

I’ve tried CC. They constantly have 2 stacks of stability when they dodge roll. And if I CC, I sometimes get taunted for 4 seconds.
I’ve tried immob or chill or blind… But they have resistance.
Have you tried CCing when their stacks of stabilities are gone? Have you tried Immob or chill when they are not in mallyx stance?

I like the lack of skyhammer and Spirit watch in Ranked. But the ranking structure is really bad.

That and the access to protection for classes that generally are balanced around not having much protection.
Take marauder scrapper for example: HGH makes might stacking a big part of damage. Boon duration is a huge bump to this. On top of that Engineers have next to no protection and have generally been balanced around that (they have lots of blocks/invulns).
If this was true, warriors would be king of PvP.

The PvP community is more hostile to experienced players than new players. If I am ever in a killed-streak, no one really makes mean comments to me. If I am in a killing-streak, I am bound to have very hostile players raging at me.

I’m at 45 mastery unlocked and haven’t seen one yet.
Don’t say buy a yellow.
You can do some PvP and grind the Magus Fall Reward track over and over again if you want to feel like you earn it and don’t want to waste a ton of money or rely on rng to get it. However, you need to do Verdant Brink/Auric Basin/Tangled Depth reward track before you can unlock Magus Falls.

Terrible, terrible decision. Like so many Arenanet makes in the last weeks (Ele Fireball visual nerf are you serious?)
Not only do all the auras look like kitten now, it’s also basically impossible to tell if someone has shocking aura or magnetic aura (i.e. stun when hit in melee and reflect projectiles auras) up because they all look the same with just a different small visual at the ele’s feet. And of course you can have multiple auras at the same time.
I have to agree. I died because I couldn’t see the frost aura. This led me to being slowed down and easy to be focus fired and killed.

So, you’re saying that PvE players should be able to complete the same hero challenges over and over again on one character and tell it to unlock the elite specializations on their other characters? Because that’s the equivalent of allowing you to play one character in WvW and unlock all of the hero challenges/elite specs for all of your alts without actually earning them as that character.
sPvP does that, and I see no problem with it.

It isn’t a simple matter of what I feel about how the aura looks.
Aura are game-changing. I need to see the aura that enemies have. If I have a choice between keeping visual clutter everywhere with the past aura vs. reducing visual clutter with the current aura, I would choose keeping visual clutter because that is how important seeing if there is an aura.

What about pve? mallyx sucks.
Mallyx is great in PvE. Unless you’re talking about speedruns where I have to squeeze every single dps possible. Tons of builds are being excluded because it isn’t the highest dps anyways. With Mallyx, I can spam AoE torment to tons of enemies, I can tag a lot of enemies. With the resistance trait, I can be immune to condi for a long while. There are some mobility because of the leap.

All I want is to go out, help my server win the game and fight other solo players. I am not interested in waiting for 2-3 guildies to roam with me, I don’t want to capture a objective that isn’t balanced for one player and then find out that a small group took it back much more easily than I did.

Everyone has different aspects of the game they enjoy, sadly I think every game on my PS4 has better PvE elements while GW2 combat system triumphs over the rest. SO naturally what I enjoy about GW2 is PvP and WVW. You’re not psychic so you wouldn’t of known this.
WvW each rank up is 2-7 Hero points, getting those required ranks is hard when you’re at the bottom of the WvW tiers, regardless if you were diamond ranked pre-hot, you have to re-earn the necessary ranks required to unlock the spec.
Maybe I should stop being a casual and try to dedicate more than 4 hours a day to the game lol
You do not need masteries other than gliding, updraft, and bouncing mushroom. With simply those three masteries, you can speedrun all the hero points you need.

1) Anything outright ignoring evades would just be dumb because it would basically stomp all over people using real evades as a means to avoid nukes. It would also make warrior a no skill required class that could destroy anyone at any time by just using sig of might + beserker stance/healing sig to ignore blinding + w/e would cause “unavoidable” on a full power build.
For only a few seconds and then they are rally bait.
