Probably soul bound items that you acquired during the level up process. Toss them. Perhaps they can be used in the Mystic Forge, but I am not certain about that.
My 3 man guild has been piggybacking on other guild’s races for weeks since they fixed the bug. The key seems to be making sure your timer will run out AFTER the guild that started it. If your timer runs out first, it will fail. If it runs out after, you will get a prompt asking you if you want to accept credit. Say yes. This has worked every time for us.
I bought three within the last week. Put in a support request. They refunded the gems for two. Not sure why they did not refund all three.
Do you have 4 (or more) in total?
If your support ticket didn’t include any more info than this post they may have assumed you have 3 in total and want to keep 1 to use in the slot, which would mean it doesn’t need to be refunded.
If that’s not the case it might be worth responding to the ticket to let them know and see if they can refund the 3rd one too.
I was pretty clear in the support request that I wanted to be refunded for three. However, you make a good point. They may have misunderstood what I wanted. It certainly can’t hurt to respond and see if I can get the other one refunded as well.
You bought multiple salvage-o-matics because you were too “busy” to jump to the bank and move it for another toon to use… now you want Anet to refund your “too busy to do [task]” spending?
Really?
Wow
Yes. Got a problem with that? Too bad. Get over yourself.

so you buy a slot, and al your toon have that slot, and you just need to add a bag to it? what’s the problem here?
It’s not a bag slot. You can’t equip a bag in the slot. It’s an inventory slot. One slot/one item.
My only problem is that I can only buy five.
I can’t access it either, so yes, it appears to be down.
Also, if you find the area’s you play in are a bit empty, it might be because you’re on a lower populated server? You can check this at World Selection on your character selection screen. Here you also can choose another serever to be your home world, or try out a ‘high’ or ‘very high’ populated server as guest, so you can (temporarily) play there and see if it makes any difference for you.
The game being a few years old shouldn’t really be a reason for the maps feeling empty… One of the wonderfull aspects of this game is (i really think this is very clever ) your character will be downscaled to the lvl of the area you’re in.. so higher lvl characters can be playing anywhere. And often they are, as there are many reasons for them to revisit area’s they ‘lvled through’: for map completion, events, or just plain funAnd sorry if i’m telling you things you already knew here… just thought i’d mention it in case you had not realised this yet (being a new player and all )
World population has no bearing on PVE content since the Megaservers were introduced.
This would only be relevant for WvW.
FYI, there is another group of five trees in Malchor’s Leap just west of Pagga’s encampment.
Ingots of both types are used for some guild hall upgrades.
Bloodstone dust is used in at least one legendary weapon collection. You have to leave offerings at a bunch of shrines.
If none of that matters, you could simply feed the ore and dust to Mawdrey, Princess, or Herta for rewards. Better than just tossing it.
I apologize for the misinformation. I was thinking the OP was talking about leveling rewards after hitting 80. In the old days, you would earn a skill point for each level after 80.
It is a common misconception for players familiar with the old system.
ChrisFireFox is absolutely correct. Hero points are rewarded on every odd level. It looks like this starts at level 11. You earn additional points by completing hero challenges scattered throughout the maps.
Leveling a character to 80 will provide enough points to unlock everything except the new elite specializations. For those you will need to earn the hero challenges throughout the maps.
You can also buy them using the Proofs of Heroics earned in WvW.
You don’t receive hero points from leveling. You must complete the hero challenges scattered throughout Central Tyria and the new Maguuma Falls maps in the HoT expansion.
Central Tyria hero challenges are worth 1 hero point. The new HoT challenges are worth 10 points.
Mining rate 1 = 1 every 50 sec
5% reduction is is 1 every 47.5 sec. Rounded up to 48.
Go to the Legendary vendor guy in Lion’s Arch and re-buy the chest in the first tier chests tab. Costs about 10K karma. Open on your artificer. I did the same thing.
this one?
Correct. Go to Hobbs. Look for the First tier chests tab on the left. Buy another chest of recipes and open on the correct character. I think the cost was a little over 10K karma.
Made this same mistake yesterday with Bitfrost.
The conversion rate is 10,000 to 50. As soon as you have less than 10,000 influence left, the vendor leaves. How much do you have?
Best site I have seen for crafting guides. This will help you get your crafting done as efficiently and cheaply as possible.
The items in your screen shot that are shown as locked are only available if you have also completed the associated basic collections. Have you?
(Blah Blah)
We appreciate your patience and understanding while this is being addressed.
Regards,Anet said look for a possible patch this Tuesday.
(Snip) we’ll keep you posted."Sources?
It’s one thing to have Joe Blow post what is supposedly a comment about the issue, it’s a whole other thing to actually have someone who matters come to GW2 official forums and post a response to the hundreds of players here.
https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/game/gw2/Banned/5749845
Dev Tracker is a wonderful thing…..
Since this sounds like an account specific issue, you should submit a trouble ticket.
12 page thread on this issue here:
https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/support/bugs/Got-100-map-completion-on-VB-no-reward/first
While no red post has been made, there have been a lot of reposts from ticket responses and references to other threads where the support/development team have acknowledged the problem and promised a fix is coming. Rewards for completion will be retroactive.
At least one of the dev posts in another thread indicated a fix will come with the next patch which probably means the Raid patch next week.
We will have to wait and see.
Did you actually perform the stealth glide while on your Reaper? It’s not just unlocking the mastery, you have to use it.
Glide and press your dodge key to activate the stealth.
We tried with 3 and failed miserably. I recruited a few non-guildies and did it with 7 easily. I’d recommend no more than 9 as it will limit the number of random vine spawns to one. At 10 you will get two.
Have you switched one of your specializations to tempest in the build setup? This is required to enable the ability to use the elite specialization weapon.
The first week after HoT launched, this was one of the only ways for very small guilds to be able to get favour, and it was working then. Now, if another (larger) guild runs the Guild Rush and our smaller one starts theirs up as well, we’ll see the counter go to 15/15 (some successes theirs, some ours), then at the end once the event timer runs out, we’ll be asked whether we want to accept credit. We do, but our own timer keeps running for another minute or so, then it says Guild Rush failed.
As Lexxi said, please fix this.
I spent several hours last night trying to piggyback larger guilds at the Quaggan rush. Six times I was asked if I wanted to accept credit and then subsequently had the mission fail.
There were several guilds trying to accomplish this and we came to the conclusion that only the guild that actually had the course claimed was receiving credit. We had a tough time trying to get larger groups to help the smaller ones. We tried to organize the smaller guilds to take turns claiming the course, but inevitably some larger groups would pounce on the flag and then leave without helping the smaller groups. It was very frustrating and not the finest example of community spirit.
It’s already hard enough for smaller guilds to upgrade the guild halls just by nature of the amount of resources needed. Having bugs like this is disheartening as it is preventing me from acquiring the favor I need to keep upgrades going.
Please fix this.
Just completed Dry Top and still no reward.
In game bug reports do not get personalized response. I believe it tells you this on the screen when submitting the bug.
To receive a direct response, you should use the support option on the top or bottom of the page to submit a trouble ticket.
What colors are used for each type of Zerg?
Like blue is only for capping, red just for fighting, yellow for defending, etc?
It’s been a while since I played last
This is unique to each server community. Best to go ask on your server forums/TS/map chat.
100 Replies on this post and Anet still no response, please, at least say us something like “we are aware”…
They have responded to anyone who has entered a ticket via the support system. They are aware of the bug, there’s no ETA for a fix, and the rewards will be retroactively applied.
There just isn’t enough time in the day for devs to post in every thread that might ‘deserve’ a response. (And there would be more such threads if they tried to respond more often, since folks would tend to expect it.)
Keep in mind that if something was easy to fix, the dev team would love to make it happen, if for no other reason than it would put an end to threads like this.
Are you suggesting that the user base should not post bug reports in the bugs forum? Interesting take on the issue.
Do I expect the devs to respond to every post in this forum? No. But when a post has this many replies, it warrants attention. This bug is a progress blocking bug for anyone trying to complete the specialization collections. It’s not just about the rewards.
One simple post acknowledging the bug could prevent dozens of individual trouble tickets being submitted. Which is a larger drain on resources?
The last post I saw on this topic:

The important part is where he says reset will be shifted by 24 hours.
Just about every server does this now. Take the NW tower. Build a treb in the tower on the roof of lords room. Treb down their treb and whatever other siege they build up there.
Either that or deal with it for a few more weeks when the problem becomes irrelevant.
It’s been pretty meta to run at least one of these sigils of a whole lot of different WvW builds for a pretty long time, such as pick thief/ mesmer, guardian, necro, etc. Since they were stealth nerfed a patch or two ago, are they still worth taking over, say, force? I’m not looking for numbers (have those already), just personal anecdotes.
For roaming on power builds ? Maybe, they are still pretty good. But if you run anything outside of roaming, or outside of power build, Sigil of Generosity is the bomb, a lot of people still like to run Energy or Stamina for extra dodges. Outside of that it really depends on what build, what situation and even what is the rest of your team comp.
Sigil of Generosity is a very expensive option. Probably outside the reach of most players.
I’m an advocate for keeping downed state, but I do understand frustrations with rallying (but it’s your own fault if you let your allies die).
I can live with rallies off of my dead allies (though I’d like to see it limited in some way.) It’s the rallies off of trash mobs that bother me. Odd are that any enemy feeling the pressure is going to make it’s way into range of the griffins, moas, minotaurs, or raptors looking for a cheap rally. I was glad to hear that HoT will limit those to Vet’s or better.
It’s not the down state that is the problem, it’s the rally mechanics. Having all those players rally off of one kill and rallying off of mobs.
At least the mob rallies will be curtailed in HoT, being limited to veterans or higher.
Maybe they should have implemented a /t team chat feature in the chat box, so you could just type those reports in chat. Oh, wait…
/t doesn’t work across borderlands, so what’s your point?
Another suggestion, add the commanders to your friends list and whisper them.
That seems to be the exact opposite of what I was expecting them to do.
What am I missing? OP wants to transfer to FA. FA is currently Very High, not Full, so transfer. Problem solved?
Given that the free accounts will require level 60 before they can enter WvW, how many people are going to spend the time to level accounts just for manipulating population calculations?
Given that players have spend money to make alternate accounts just for this type of play. It wouldn’t surprise me people would make free accounts to hinder other server’s performance. The real question is how many will pop up and how much will they actually affect the end result of WvW
With restricted access to many things, I think it will be very painful to level an alt to 60 just for the goal of trying to manipulate WvW pop calculations. Now, consider that a great many would have to be willing to do the same. With the prior $10 sales, you could immediately access WvW. No effort. That’s the key.
This whole Free Account thing will destroy the WvW Population balance massively if the free accounts count into the active WvW Players there will be a lot of manipulation.

WvWxp is already account based and has been for quite some time.
reset ? back to 0… ? they won’t do that… they may refund your spent points, but not reset everyone to 0, that would be ridiculous….
I don’t see anything in his question that suggested a reset to 0. He’s just asking if they will refund spent points as they have done in the past.
To answer the question, no way to know. I think they will, but that is nothing more than speculation.
Each ring is “Unique” which means you can only have 1 equipped. For each ascended trinket there’s another with the same stats but different name, for example if you want to use 2 rings with berserker status you need: Crystalline Band + Ring of Red Death.
Same thing applies to earrings. Don’t bother with support, my friend has deleted a character with a Legendary weapon on it by mistake and they didn’t give her neither the character or the weapon back (despite the barrage of emails she sent).
Suggesting people not bother with support is not the right approach. In fact, I have seen other threads with the same issue and the support staff has indeed made the switch.
Congrats. First time can feel really good.
Great advice in here to anybody considering doing more than one toon to completion. Get WvW done as early as possible. Keep a regular eye on it and get your toons in there and grab those hard to get spots when you can. PVE can always be done later. After completing the 8th one this weekend, I can say it would not have happened if I had not taken advantage of those opportunities. Now if only a had a precurser…
Bill, it’s unclear to me from your last response if this fix is already live or not. Can you please confirm? Was this a server side fix or will it require a new build?
