It prob got stuck on a slight bump on the floor. Its the same way eles do ridiculous burst in dungeons. Fiery rush against a wall or use lightning flash to basically exploit it and do it without a wall. Difference is flesh golem charge is really weak. Fiery rush can do about 175k damage in the space of a few seconds. Its been noted as unintended damage recently so it will probably be nerfed along with all similar abilities (golem charge, burning speed, theres probably a few more).
Yeah would be pretty nice if we could all play together!
I know I just thought id add it to the list.
Im not 100% sure but i believe it varies between bosses/attacks. Alpha’s aoes seem to be capped at 5 from what I can tell (not targeting pets or the npc). But it will still hit you if you dont dodge, i guess the way to test it is to make everyone tank the aoe and see if the pet takes damage aswell. Also noticed when running a dungeon with a guildy who ran mm necro, we werent getting hit as much. Either the minions were acting as meat shields or there was aoe cap preventing us from getting targeted as much.
Joined some friends late into an ac run the other day. They had a pug warrior with them. I asked what banners they had so I wasnt doubling up or anything. The pug said “I dont use banners”.
I aim to please.
Even with the arguement of the bubble you dont need a staff. Blink, mantra of concentration and blurred frenzy. Plenty of ways to survive that blasted bubble!
SAB is the ultimate test of how casual you are.
Them casuals are the real elitists. Trying to force us to use defensive gear.
You are assuming I go down alot in zerker gear when pugging. I dont. It really makes barely any difference. If the groups bad you are going to go down no matter what gear you have. If your skilled its better to be in dps gear to finish the fight faster even if that means soloing it.
/facepalm
Show me one sentence where I assume that YOU go down a lot? The topic (seeing your comment includes soloing, I doubt you still know) is about random zerkers that go down repeatedly and then blame the team. Your claim is that ‘at least they are trying to do it properly, not like you baddies’. My claim is ‘if you need an organized team to stay on your feet as full zerker, then don’t play full zerker in an unorganized team…’. Nowhere have I made any claims about which category you are part of.
Here.
Now you’re just being sillly. You can bring 10 times the dps of the rest of your group combined, if you go down regularly you’re not carrying anyone. It doesn’t even matter if you end up contributing most, people have had to stop playing their own game and start picking you up from the floor (so in a way, all dps past that is theirs…) If that happens regularly, you’re just being a drag and are ruining people’s fun in the game (including your own).
You might not of been referring to me directly. Doesnt matter what gear you have, if the group is bad you will down anyway. Beserker is not going to make you down much more often as most things which down beserkers down pvt players aswell… Obviously going melee on something when the rest of the group ranges is gonna get you killed, but I would think most people have common sense. Ive never understood why giving yourself bad gear just for pugs is something people do. There is really no need. Bringing ten times the dps is the best thing you can do to help a pug group go smoother.
Gandara populated by 90% mesmers!
I just reported you all for being elitists. Incoming infractions.
They were perma stealthed. Seemed pretty self explanatory to me. Using condition damage and not directly hitting the tree shouldnt kick you out of stealth.
Haha I knew it. How long did it actually take?

Nice. I was gonna work on mine today, atleast I know the time can actually be fairly respectable with the traits and skills i will be using.
Weekdays 6pm gmt onwards. Weekends earlier.
Erm i do ac with 2 friends and we always pug the last spots. Dps is far from amazing. When AC was revamped the hp pools on the final bosses were set pretty low. Its pretty awkward when you completely miss mechanics even in a relatively poor dps setting. Which was my point.
He dies before any adds spawn. :P
I could always do with more blue cleric warhorns.
I couldnt bare to pug arah. Things go smoother in 3man groups then with pugs.
I take my gc builds into pugs and never have a problem. If anything it teaches you more and allows you to properly carry a group.
@Drarnor
Its not easier, its quicker. In some instances that is easier but people dont realise the amount of teamwork that goes into a real speedrun. And in more casual dps runs a lot of experience and knowledge of encounters is required for it go smoothly. Even then theres chances for things to go wrong and when they go wrong its almost impossible to prevent a wipe.
You shouldnt be rewarding or encouraging players to play in crutch gear. Your suggestion isnt totally wrong but your suggesting it for the wrong reasons. Slightly more frequent hard hitting attacks would be better. More complex mechanics and cc and conditions need to play a more important role.
Your suggestion will most likely hurt casual players more than it will to experienced players. No matter what happens though, the speedrunners will always adapt and run whats quickest and if that means running 5 cleric guards (please no!), they will.

Meh stupid buggy forum
Warrior doesnt have the highest damage. Thats out of date pug belief. Necro is only slightly behind warrior dps. Ele’s, thieves and guardians have better sustained dps than the warrior. Mesmer can achieve the highest dps in the game if you can maintain 3 iduelists permanently (very unlikely), but their individual damage without phantasms is very bad. What makes a class good is team/self buffing and the utility it provides. Necro doesnt have anything special like that and because the damage isnt all that great theres no reason to take one.
Thats not good design. Dont understand why people hate skilled players being able to do the content in zerker gear. Mechanics need to be improved and condition damage/debuffing needs to be improved.
By making fights like that you are encouraging people to face tank and heal through bosses. Thats going against the devs plan and their reflex based combat system. Defensive gear is for learning the encounters/less experienced players. Skilled players who know the attacks should be able to completely avoid all damage from bosses with utility/evades.

I didnt know people ranged howling king or rumblus. Ive also never seen any adds.
You dont need to be specced for it. Just takes one guardian to chain WoR, shield, WoR.
Looked like they were doing something on thieves. Im intrigued.
Please can you run hands through your spreadsheet. I think they are pretty efficient.
Elitist eaters. I eat how i want.
Fork/spoon = very good lazy mans knife.
Only traits effect minions. So you can run whatever gear you want and your minions will always be doing the same damage. Minions have always been fairly decent in openworld. If the change is true then they could be even more desirable in open world. And they could be in a much better place for dungeons. Unfortunately I still dont think they will ever be reliable enough to make a full MM build for dungeons.
Ill just repost my old suggestion for a GS/2H axe.

Converting bleeds into boons gives vigor. Having vigor on crit is something most players take. Means you wont need energy sigils for soloing lupi, so you can keep dps sigils equipped.
Dps groups already utilize blinds, blocks, reflects and interrupts to avoid attacks. Most people dont understand that running in organized groups is actually a bit more complicated than it seems and it requires skill, knowledge and coordination to pull off effectively. Dps groups rely heavily on support to succeed, the current misconception is that support requires certain stats. It doesnt, the important support is not effected by stats so you simply take a supportive class like a guardian and kit them out in beserker gear and mostly dps traits. There are many encounters which are pretty faceroll though, can be dps’d down before the mechanics really become important. Still requires knowledge to pull off properly though.

pff social life? whats that?
Using plague form on necro makes the spider run so easy.
If you are online when I do some runs i could get you on. We usually do coe, ac and then 3man a path of arah. But in terms of dungeons we will do whatever someone wants to do on the night.
Axe has long enough range for the powersuit. You can use lich for some of the fight and DS for most of it.
Id say lupi is a fairly decent pug buster. Unfortunately pugs have adapted to kiting him around the room for 30 minutes and get through the path by sheer perseverance.
Dont like the ice.
I despise those that have ridiculous luck with the mystic toilet.
Buy me an NA account and ill carry you for free.
Stack melee and you wont get hit most of the time even without dodges. If the ice thing hits you it will take you to low hp and put bleed on you. DS is more than enough to take it though. You also shouldnt need an energy sigil unless you get really bad RNG on alpha’s attacks. Most of the time your endurance will regen in time, just make sure you dont waste dodges.
Zerk warrior is so easy to survive with lol. Fat hp pool just like necro and regen an extra dodge from eviscerate. Also ww attack. Dead dps might equal no dps. But terrible dps always equals terrible dps.
Which could be more consistent/higher damage total than a Warrior that dies often.
Lol no. Ive seen entire groups of 5 people take longer to kill a veteran risen giant than it does for a single zerker. Even if the zerker goes down a few times they are gonna be doing more damage than pug builds.
Surely focus 5 is a better dps increase though…
I feel like a casual with my 9.1k AP.
Those clouds smile at me. Dont be mean to them.
