mug isn’t really as good anymore without the crits. and the heal is kinda weak. also swifness on evade is awesome. and yeah PVT armor. zerker weapons. i have ruby orbs on all the things.
0/30/30/10 will give you some survivability and keep your damage output. Something like this -

GCs don’t last long in Wv3 and having to run back to the fight sucks.
edit – I’d go S/D or D/P. You’ll want access to stealth.
Also, a thief running that type of build can have 18-20k HP, around 2.5k armor, regenerate health and lose conditions in stealth, be able to dodge 3-4 times in a row, has ranged and melee blinds up all the time, 2-4 teleport skills/stunbreakers. ANNNNND can be built to have over 100% crit damage without food and have every attack from stealth crit automatically, so that glass cannon rife warrior will die, fast, like really really fast, sorry homey.

(Might need to swap a trait for condition removal, I think this is my easymode permastealther, you can still get permanent stealth without one of the iniative regen traits though, just requires good timing with hide in shadows and shadow refuge when you run out of initiative, shadow return works fine for condition removal though, if you’re planning to stay invisible most of the time anyway, or you can use foods to reduce condition duration, the build is pretty flexible)

Good luck with your recruitment SBI! You’re a great opponent, and little more coverage would certainly help you out.
I’m guessing this could only happen in a sub 80 zone, and then definitely not in PvP or Wv3.
Another alternative for thieves are Runes of Lyssa, since you have access to a 45 second cooldown elite, thus a 45 second cooldown all boon + all condition cleanse…
But since you don’t want survivability, Ruby Orbs. Simply put, you’re extremely unlikely to remain above 90% health for longer than 1 or 2 hits against a decent player with a squishy thief.
IIRC the cooldown on the superior lyssa runes will prevent you from getting all boons every 45s, though you can get it every 90s.
Complaining cant change it anyways, This reset will most likely be our last together, if they do indeed change the matchmaking. If the last two nights are any indication there will be a big drop off in any competition like past weeks. Its at the point now I don’t even know a fraction of the people, and when most either stop to get the skill point in Ogres or Dredge, or ask when can we get green’s keep for map completion, you get the feeling things aren’t right. Hopefully the new system prevents stagnation, though I am not sure how it can possibly change. Will see you folks tonight.

i’ll swap blinding powder for signet of shadows for movement
typically run daggerstorm as i like to run vanguard in a zerg, tho will swap to basilisk venom for when i roam solo. rarely run thieves guild these days as find the cooldown too long

How about stack the timer 15 minutes for every person that siege ticks up to 2 hours or something like that?
Heh, forgot to mention the JPs. I don’t do really do them often, but they’re there. And a 1 up/down ranking to the ladders could be interesting, but I’m not sure how well it’d pan out.
Remember, this game hasn’t even been out for a year yet… find something else to do, or play a different game.

Sure sometimes I log in and I look for a field battle and all I find is a zerg, or I try some havoc stuff and just get roflstomped, but for the most part I think T4 is doing alright.
And yeah, some new maps would be nice, but I honestly can’t say I’m bored… there’s plenty of stuff going on, and if there isn’t I’ll just work on my dailies and log, no worries.
Only a Wv3 player hears the sound of a gate being hammered on when they fall asleep at night…
… For example. they could have made traps an actual physical object that can be placedor hidden around the WvWvW maps, and could be disarmed (with the drawback being that disarming a trap would take a long channel time). It would have made for a fun AND balanced addition.
Don’t me to hijack, but this struck me as an amazing idea for a Thief ability… maybe innate after a certain level, or in the Trickery line…

shortbow – pve yes vs groups / wvw no (see the last nerf)
yeah, it was a nerf, but come on… cluster bomb, choking gas, disabling shot, infiltrator’s arrow. sure trick shot doesn’t hit as much as it used to and i’m still annoyed about it, but to say shortbow isn’t viable for wv3 is redonk.
I’m a big fan of my 15/10/30/15 build. Knight’s armor with Emerald orbs, pretty much Berserker for trinkets and weapons.
This boxer is easily deflatable if you can get inside his ‘personal space’ and have good AE abilities. I flanked around him while he was busy with our large group then Steal > Daggerstorm which caused enough chaos with his bots that we rolled over him quite handily.
edit – I almost wanted to start farming the guy for all the loot bags =D

I feel it’s worth it. Adds to speed when traveling, escaping, and positioning while fighting. Maybe not the “best” for large field fights, but not useless either.
Plus… I’m addicted to it and now hate moving slow.
If someone starts attacking when you pop SR it’s their bad, not yours. If someone is giving you a hard time for not having SR “ready for them” then they need to l2p.
OK, so shooting into a pack of 30+ enemies in Wv3 and not hitting any with Trick Shot, despite having someone targeted and in range… and not hitting anyone…
That’s just not right.
If an enemy is targeted, in range, and not dodging Trick Shot really ought to hit.
Points? Screw points the rest of this week. More open field battles plz. This week is already decided. Lets just kill each other mercilessly over these next 3 days.
Yesssss… had great open field fights with SBI and SoS last night.
I’d take a straight ladder system that at least allows the matchups to change a little more dynamically.

Yeah, that was a good fight SBI. Lagging so hard I thought I was in EB for a bit 
I’m mostly a Wv3 player and SB is my main.
I don’t feel as useful anymore, granted I wasn’t destroying folks before with Trick Shot, but now I’m not doing much of anything when I’m out of initiative. Not being able to lay down suppression fire when being in a zerg’s vanguard without expending initiative is kinda crappy. Or rather, my tab key is taking a beating.
And a question, if Trick Shot should’ve never been heat seeking, why didn’t it say so on the wiki?

Giving us a thread to vent is all fine and good, but I think an answer on this one is deserved. Nobody was complaining about Trick Shot, and even if it wasn’t working as intended there was never any indication that this change was coming either on the wiki or from ANet.

We’ve lost three Wv3 guilds since the SoS/SBI/CD match up began. Not huge numbers, but definitely some of the more experienced players and a couple commanders.
CD’s has diminished afaik.
PVT and zerker orbs. Trinkets and weapons as needed.

I mostly play Wv3 with SB and tried a condition duration build to maximize poison and weakness debuffs… full 30 in DA, Rata Sum runes and everything.
It totally worked, and just didn’t hit hard enough. It was fun to watch your opponents try to escape while you just kept stacking on weakness/poison and I really wanted it to be more powerful.
It just didn’t have the big numbers and the take down speed that I wanted.
When we get to a tier that matters…

My favourite was when i was sttomping a tough condi thief after an intense battle and as he ported away, i used steal to finish the stomp unhindered.
I always forget to do this!
My favorite is getting Consume Plasma from a mesmer, popping it, then popping Daggerstorm… so much carnage. Occasionally have even been running SoM and have gotten this combo 
Yup, SB is about harassment in Wv3 and laying down combo fields. I run
D/D to finish them off.

So very true. The only annoyance is that the Lyssa proc has a 50 second cool down, so you can still only activate it every other BV use.
