using a scepter/focus build should probably save your behind in those reaaally tight situations, but a puggroup can simply kill you faster than any enemy

edit: my own research by simply trying it out on the golems, tells me :

2 rotations (RoF> water att> frozen burst>earth att> shock wave, earth quake>fire att>burning speed>RoF>water att>frozen burst>earth att> shock wave) net me

permanent 14 stacks, peak 19 on traveler
permanent 16 stacks, peak 22 on rage

although i don’t know why i get higher with rage...

you gotta love DP and their "at it’s best" series, but the ele gameplay displayed was more embarassing than than anything i’ve ever seen before. fun vid tho

and that 50 ele tornado! hells to the yeah!

well, if you want to go that way, a healing medi guard is probably THE strongest healer in the game, with a 9k burst heal and 2,5k healing dodges, plus healing on every medi and buff an allies

i really don’t get the purpose of this build.

in wvw, healing comes from blasting waterfields and it’s a fixed amount of healing
in pvp, you can still be bursted too fast to be effective over longer durations, plus, you got a guardian for that job
in pve, nobody needs healing.

so ?????

how about next time, when you want us to comment on your gameplay, you don’t speed up the video so nobody will ever be able to recognize anything. also, it would’ve been nice if you had linked you build anyhwere, somehow it didn’t really look right to me. especially the signet of earth instead of the blink. you reaaaally want that blink mate. trust me.

one thing i saw from the only fight that was actually watchable: you linger in water for too long. every second it’s not on CD is a wasted healburst + condi remove. not that you needed it against this pug pewpew, but if you were fighting a condi ranger/engi, whatever, you’d be dead in an instance.

apart from that, your positioning against those rangers was horrible. especially considering you were fighting at the henge, where there is a whole lotta places to LOS the ranger.

the rest was too fast, sorry. but keep it up, d/d might be much more forgiving than s/f or s/d, but it still takes a ton of training to master and to be really effective with it.

use staff for hot
offhand dagger for healing burst
evasive arcana and elemental attunement for heal burst
healing signet for continuous heal.

apart from that, i don’t really get what you want to do.

you’re basically right, but it’s not really our business, what people do with their custom arenas. if they decide to turn it into a king of the hill arena, then they bloody well should be allowed to. if you don’t want to fight on those, you don’t have to.

also, i have to agree with you that people should deal with conquest mode. it’s simply horrible how there’s always stupid offpoint zerging in sQ.

yup, exactly. doesn’t even show up in the combat log, doesn’t get you in combat, does no damage, just a display bug, i guess. but annoying as hell. never realized it stops ooc regen, but then again, i’m either full life or dead when i come out of a confrontation

i love 1v1 heroes. but you have to accept, that people want their different game modes and if they’re doing 1v1 as a game mode or 2v2 as a game mode, then it’s not a conquest game anymore. simple as that

i admit, having absolutely no cap, well, it was a tad extreme at the end, but the AoE cap in GW2 is just ridiculously tolerant of huge blobs. moving the cap up to at least, let’s say, 10 for a meteor shower or sth similar, would improve the gameplay as a whole, i think. but anyway, back to topic

A corrupt boon power necro vs a celestial ele…. dunno about that your corrupt is only going to prolong that fight more than win it for you, a good celestial ele should be able to wear the power necro down.

provoke water attunement and cleansing fire, wait for stability, corrupt, kick off fear chain, condi bomb, wait.

hotjoin doesn’t need better rewards, hotjoin needs removed or to be turned into an unranked soloQ.

plus, there needs to be a proper PvP tutorial. This training island is a bad joke in my eyes.

i am banking the boxes and open them on 80 now, but this is annoying as hell

Does that actually work? I’m used to Wildstar which will still give you items based on your level when you received the box, so I’m not sure.

I have no Idea. I have not opened any Boxes for a long time now, but the last time I opened them, I also transferred to my main and got “Dusk”. I am hoping for similar results the next time I my bank is full with boxes.

I HAVE indeed gotten other lvl 80 exos on my lower chars tho. I guess, if RNG says it’s an exo, it’ll always be a lvl80 exo.

That being said you should still focus other classes first, namely ones that can put your comp in a dangerous situation and usually that won’t be a celestial ele.

in a full celestial comp, there is literally NOTHING that can wipe your team, so you may as well start with ele, but of course, squishier targets should be downed first

on ele it’s focused burst. if you got a condi comp, wait till ele is in water, then spam condis on him. always work with area freezes and most staff& dd eles will literally melt down to a pulp in less than 3 seconds. for x/f eles, it will take as long as mist form and the focus invul last xD

so you don’t have to fight the worst of the worst when you’re actually a more than decent player in tQ.

imagine if our one and only lord helseth wouldn’t have been playing soloQ, so if he started, he’d have to play with people who can’t do anything against him (nobody can ever do anything against him, but you get my point :P ), but still lose because his team keeps doing kitten all day long.

like i said, i already tried repair, but i fixed it by completely reinstalling the game. not a real fix, but it worked. strange bug tho

During sales, that was so long ago. And again, as already mentioned in this thread, once unlocked it’ll be unlocked. So don’t know what we’re talking about? Go buy another copy of the game right now, then log THAT account, then try to get into PvP through the menu. You WILL NOT be able to. (also as already established in this thread, you would still be able to use the AG in LA though to get there.)

7 of those losses were with 400 points or more and I honestly think in some games that weren’t 4v5 we could have won if one person just went afk because they gave the opposing team more points than they gave us.

I mean no offense to anyone with this. It’s not an attack on peoples ability to play the game but I’m just frustrated that the leaderboard and small playerbase can cause such awful matchups at peak time on a Sunday. We need the option to avoid these encounters if they are going to happen.

i feel your pain, or at least i did, before i went dead inside which is somehting i would recommend you to do as well.

the other thing is, that i really don’t understand, why you want these changes in relation to your experience, since this wouldn’t fix anything, but instead would lead to even more frustration through prolonged Qs and interrupted matchups.

a karma track would also be nice, since you don’t get any in pvp, except from daylies, but that’s close to 0

same here for lovestruck or whatever the other collection was.

i tried AA since many recommended it but the grindfest and the reeaaaally unsmooth combat drove me away instantly
