i saw something similar: full asc ranger 1shotting upscaled lvl5 guardian from 1,5k range in wvw. hit’s like a truck. but can’t even 1 shot me as 80 ele with no armor and no traits. so guardian had to be very very very low and you somehow missed that.

also, sometimes bugs occur, even if you don’t change a single line of code in the areas that are bugged afterwards.

i don’t really know what you/they are talking about. soothing winds is the way to go if you don’t need the extra stability, since you don’t have much precision anyway. (on a full cleric set, with fury, you get up to 20%, which is nothing.)

i ran this build in small scale wvw fights, it’s fun there and very very viable.
i also ran the build in pvp. it’s annoying and even on d/d, you get an instant burst heal of about 7,5k out to allies (due to lower stats in pvp), about 4,6 k on yourself, just by switching to water + wave. the problem is, you do NO damage at all (a thief can tank your MS or burning speed + lf + fire grab without even flinching). it is therefore more useful if you just play the cele staff build. it’s still fun tho and perfect if you have no guardian. you can even go 00662 for the stability support. but beware: if you are focused by 3+, you are dead. like every other ele

cool ty! so.. i can get the weapons.. trinkets and everything else celstial but atm.. ive only got three Charged Quartz Crystal. :/ any ideas? i’m trying for a build by friday... i can solo work for the celestial gear.. :/

well, then you either get a mixture of knights and assassins/berserker armor, or, just don’t waste money and run a full berserker (everyone has a full set of zerker gear lying around, right? ) fresh air build for roaming until you have the cele set complete. sucks against thieves, but everything else is deep fried, crispy and ready to eat after 3-7 secs PLUS it needs a lot more skill, doesn’t forgive ANY mistakes and is therefore a lot more fun to play.

don’t get me wrong, if you see the thief first, he doesn’t even have time to stealth himself before being completely obliterated, but as this is not always the case, be wary of thieves, young padawan. they lead to the dark side

edit: blackbeard! how is a pewpew strong against d/d? i don’t see it. you’re fighting at minimum range, and LOS him most of the time, so his longbow is very useless. all the while, you’re applying PBAoE from behind/the sides. he should melt in 15 seconds from burning and bleeding alone, not even talking about the burst damage.

i don’t like it. the light one. the rest i don’t care about.

They should think about the balance process in general. They are sitting together and try to find some good ideas. But instead they should use the forum and the community. Many great players are available. They should start an open discussion and communicate the ideas and listen to feedback.

at this moment, i think we as players have more insight and more understanding of the meta and the balance, than any dev could ever have. but it’s not anet-typical. it’s the same with every competitive game.

they should simply hire the top 5 competitive tpvp teams EU/NA/CN as pvp-counselors, give them a small compensation fee , demand a regular balance report and act accordingly.

as for the burning speed/ lightning flash combo: it’s just a bit laggy at the moment. they didn’t change anything regarding the blink

it is still a bit annoying, that you even need to invest 20 skill points to get those new traits for pvp only usage.

i recently bought a new account to play with friends in NA and now half my builds are not working, because i do not have any character older than 2hrs and obviously no skillpoints.

i know you will not change this in the future, but i wanted to state my opinion about it: it’s flawed design and not favourable towards new players, it’s not even favourable towards veterans. it’s only stupid.

The big issue for us to add Season 1 to the Story Journal is that Season 1 was not built the same way that Season 2 was. I can’t really share details but this means that we can’t simply retrofit the story steps into the Story Journal and we’re going to need to rework Season 1 into a format that fits the Story Journal. As we’ve said, we really want all players to be able to experience as much of the Living World as possible at one point, but I don’t have more details to give you, including a possible timeline.

even the gameplay is similar: while with ele it’’s a very linear play, you switch attunements with f1-4 and use the skills provided with 1-5 and the cantrips on 7-9, the engi is more crossplay with switching "attunements" (kits) with 7-9 and using their skills with 1-5, while f1-4 become sth like the cantrips for ele.
