No. You can’t really change your setup without trait reset. Because all viable builds are based on certain trait allocation, instead of kit swapping.

And changing gear outside of combat can be applied to every profession, you can’t really define versatility on this.

This^^

putting on grenades does me do good if i’m not specced for it in traits…that’s not versatility…..that’s like putting on stealths on a thief and expecting them to remove conditions without the trait and calling it more versatile.

If Charr engineers really hit this whimpy then they would have never taken their lands back, that’s all I’m sayin. ;/

another of histories lessons other companies have tried and since learned from. STO just recently revamped their boxes to improve drop rates because of this very problem.

LOTRO did something about their prior to their last expac. I think this company could benefit from the wisdom of history and should hire someone who’s a researcher in this field, simply because they seem to be making the same mistakes other companies have already made and since learned from and changed. For example, DR as a means to block the progress of bots was learned long ago by other companies to not only not work but destroy their customer base because of the serious affects it had on it’s playerbase, so other measures were used that worked and the loot was returned to normal which saved these titles and brought their fans back.

trapper’s backpack (deer horns ivory and furs)
fisherman’s backpack (fishing pole, net, carving knife)
explorer’s backpack (maps, quil ink set, handmade leatherbound books tied together with leather stripes, the control pad for a waypoint device)
weaponsmiths backpack (hammer, leather wraps, wood poles, wrapped up ingots)
leather worker’s backpack (furs, leather scraps, carving knives, potion chemical bottles, straps.)
huntsman’s backpack (arrows or arrowheads, horns, deer antlers, hammer, carving knife, a couple of spearpoles, and a shotgun/speargun shell ready for crafting, three wrapped up ingots steel, mithril, orichalcum)

Also I love how people come on and ask for nerfs and removals, all because of PvP. Then never once stop to think of how it would affect PvE. So many games have nerfed skills and abilities because of PvP with no regards to PvE, which in tales screws over PvE.

+100 just go look at engineers pve right now, all updates have been nerfs all to balance pvp.

between nerfs for “balance” and bugs and poor downed state utility designs pve is broken entirely.

I play a thief pve, trust me we need more stealth not less, and it needs fixing in pve.

I play less than 20 hours a week

I make roughly 3-4 gold a day running FOTM 15+

No complaints here, there’s nothing hardcore about me.

You can make the same amount of gold doing world completion, dungeons..

If you’re worried about repair bills then you should simply die less.

they could easily fix this if they made it so that the only cost for teleporting was outside the zone you are already in.

Or like I said, you can die less and preserve your gold more efficiently. A lot of activities in this game award 1-2 gold an hour.

Die less is not an option as an engineer unless you are all shields all the time in which case each fight with a normal mob lasts days. (i do not wish to return to the days of healy priests in vanilla wow or early loremasters in lotro thanks, combat should not be nerfed like that)

As to your idea, whats the point of having it like that? Its so repetitive and boring and pointless since you’re going to complete it just by doing daily’s. That’s not fun for me and it makes me think you’re only in it for the reward at the end, which is fine I guess but it’s not how I see it at all.

Let me respond by asking you this:

What’s the point of having daily achievements like that, then?

Isn’t it just as “boring” and “repetitive”? Well no, it’s not, and the reason is because you’re basically allowed to go wherever you want and do whatever you want, and it takes very little play time to complete. I’ve often completed my daily achievement without even realizing that I was getting close to it. It’s all natural and part of the game anyways.

Which is what makes it perfect not only for daily, but monthly achievements as well. You wouldn’t be asked to do anything you don’t normally do throughout the course of playing the game. You could WvW if you wanted, or PvE it if you wanted, and it wouldn’t matter.

That said, it might be nice for them to set up some PvP daily/monthly achievements as well, separate from the PvE ones. I think that’d be a simple step they could take that would move PvP closer to being something that people actually want to do.

They need three pvp, dungeon, and pve (for open world stuff) on monthlies. I refuse to do dungeons or pvp because they told me i can play and be rewarded however i like. i like open world meta pve and farming.

except you’re not “forced” to do anything, its an optional monthly achievement that you strive to achieve, Im not seeing the problem here.

Did I get my point across with the bold lettering and such?

cept there’s a ton of other things i WANT to be doing for rewards that should be in the monthly that don’t include disconnecting dungeons, FR killing pvp, or a new style of dungeon with instakills and DR. I bought this title because they were telling us they would not focus on either of those things and that metas would be their focus. Since the things they were originally supposed to be focusing on all now don’t give rewards the daily monthlies are the only things that do. see my point?

Pessimistic Engineer

in Engineer

Posted by: tigirius.9014

tigirius.9014

Alright, I like playing engineer, and I am not going to talk about if it’s too powerful, too weak, or just fine. What I am going to talk about is how pessimistic my engineer is, especially when dealing with smaller enemies (asursa, wolves, armadillos, things that go up to a charr’s knee).
My engineer focuses on switching from kit to kit, from rifle to grenade, flamethrower, and elixir gun, to effectively be able to use 20 basic abilities at once, (plus an elixir h and an elite), and whenever I use the flamethrower, air blast, fumigate, blunderbuss, or magnum shot (of which I really need to hit, otherwise I’m screwed because I don’t have a condition on them and can’t get them far away from me) He just shoots to the ground, missing the little devil completely, even though he shouldn’t… since he/she/it is right there, nibbling at my ankles.
Am I the only one that finds his engineer just shooting the ground and missing shots?

Not at all. mine does this with discharge when using pots or the cones from FT/EG.

Long list of broken land abilities. No 1 shots. No 3 shots. Our weapons of war are a joke. Charr would have never have won anything in this state.

PvE Build Archetypes

Here’s the obvious one that we all know and love:

Ranged direct damage with enough toughness to stay alive. (ex: Warrior with a rifle.)

This is pretty much why this game is filling up with thieves and warriors. Nothing else works like these classes or has the same 1 shot abilities while having the perfect balance of protection to survive in pve. why bother rolling any other class.

Engineer can do a tanky survival build but is so nerfed even cond dmg doesn’t work eventually you wear out all your cooldowns and can’t damage fast enough to be helpful.

My Charr engineer really hates the ground, he shoots at it all the time with his flamethrower and fumigate ability, often firing under enemies, missing them.
He also equally hates the air, air blast and blunderbuss fire safely over his short enemy’s head.

I found this hilarious since this happens to me all the time.

Mine shoots the ground with those and everytime i use the potions with that discharge trait attached. I’ve even shot lightning at the sky when using a thrown potion.

So...I Just Thought of THE best Idea for gw2

This game doesn’t need trinity. What it needs is more challenge and less spam. When I say spam I don’t necessarily mean the buttons people push to do their moves especially those who think they should use only one type of weapon combo and just stand there. I mean the type of spam that the bosses do and I also mean the instakills bosses tend to do. One doesn’t need to be instantly downed to feel the danger of fighting a boss. Even the Champions have this instakill thing out in the open world, they need to change that seriously. I don’t mind dungeons but I am one of those people who hated having to learn every little thing about a dungeon before running them or being kicked from the group. WoW is rife with people who think that’s all you should do all day is learn about how the raids and dungeons function before every fight. I do however think that these should be a little more challenging in the way of adding puzzles, adding more complex traps, making the bosses do something like teleport away from the party to summon in help, and then teleport back to continue the fight or putting a debuff on one of the players that could cause massive damage to everyone else while doing a DoT to the player that he must then survive before running back in. Those kinds of things would actually break the monotony.

The other concern i have is how focused people seem to be on dungeons suddenly in this game. This was never meant to be a dungeon centric game at all. Originally and yes i still have some of the links to those interviews, Anet devs doing the interviews about why dungeons are in their view more of an afterthought compared to open world, it was to save money. They designed the open world meta events and DE system with adding new content monthly in mind.

I kind of wonder what happened to that. Where are all the metas? Even small ones.

So if they removed the zerg by making boss fights more fun, they added more complex traps like puzzles, they made the dungeons they already have more like the ADnD of old, and they added more metas they wouldn’t need a trinity at all and it would spice up the whole game and bring players back out from LA again.

Bug Fixes…. We are long overdue and the bug list thread is getting too full. Gonna run out of space on the forums soon enough. Q_Q

Edit:
Remove Veil from Toss Elixir U. So we have a reliable projectile block/reflect.

Separate the Flamethrower and E-gun traits from each other, but combine all the flamethrower ones and all the E-gun ones. So you have 15% Damage and 20% cd Flamethrower trait in Firearms, then you have 15% damage and 20% cd trait for E-gun in Elixir tree.

pretty much this.

our traits are a bit of a mess. a lot of our traits look like they should just be combined into one trait, and we have entire trait lines with nothing of any real worth in them (inventions).

honestly the best patch for the engineer i can think of would just be bug fixes (hopefully this time without the nerfs)

There are also many a trait that are nowhere near as powerful as the other classes, for example we don’t have but one plus to crit where we must stand perfectly still for this to occur. Where’s the logic in that in a game where one must move to avoid much of the damage.

We need to stop complaining fast and why

in Engineer

Posted by: tigirius.9014

tigirius.9014

I disagree, emphatically. The assumption here is that the Engineer class is being neglected, or nerfed, or otherwise intentionally mishandled as some kind of punitive measure due to the behavior of (the small group on the forums that represents) the engineer population.

That’s highly, highly unlikely.

What’s more likely is that the Engineer is aligned, or being aligned, with a design philosophy that
1) some players do not find enjoyable, and
2) is contrary to what the engineer was initially described as, and
3) is very much an anomaly when compared to the other seven classes. (That is, engineers work harder for less because “this extreme versatility comes at a cost in damage.”

ANet is just a bunch of people that want this game to succeed. It follows that they want players to be challenged, to have fun, and to have a wide variety of activities they can engage in. In other words, we, the players, and ANet are on the same team. However, we can, and will, disagree about some things, and to hold the belief that because they’re the developers they are always right is… well, short-sighted, to say the least. (See the case of The People vs. Jar Jar Binks if you disagree.)

If ANet is happy—aside from the bugs—with where the Engineer is, we need to let them know that we disagree. Yes, we’re just a small chunk of the engineer population, but that’s called a “sample.” It’s not a perfect one, but it’s not one that should be casually dismissed. An explanation, at least, might go a long way towards assuaging our concerns. I think most folks just want a little communication so we can better understand what’s going on.

This ^^

I disagree with everything they’ve done to this class so far. The tiny damage from sigils do not make this class anywhere near op. The damage output of this class was never on par with other classes so how could they justify nerfing it when we can’t kill anything in three hits like other classes with similar builds and gear. None of the problems we face that breaks many of our “versatile” builds for this class have been addressed over the first four months when other classes have been talked to, and in some cases have had their bugs instafixed within the same day no less.

Of course people are going to be upset OP, we’re tired of these problems. It’s not like we’ve actually had much communication on anything prior and there’s definitely no a PTR to see how well or how poor a design decision works across the board. Talking about it in the forums is hardly the cause of these issues and they won’t go away by being silent.

But that’s okay these people who keep claiming it’s bad luck haven’t been hit with it yet so they’ll just keep on believing there’s nothing wrong.

If it changed…how come not everybody is feeling it? We all download the same patches.

We dunno and that’s why we think it’s a bug. half the people running a dungeon with regular gear on will get 9 rares while the other half gets absolutely nothing but greys when the people who get greys get trash most of the time from open world, it can’t be luck and it can’t be random when it happens all the time to people’s accounts. Some people like the OP never see anything. I know I have one of those accounts, none of my characters EVER get anything good from drops unless they reset the servers for a patch and then bam i get two items before it returns to it’s normal trash pickup.

I suspect it’s the same for salvages.

My guilds the same way we had about 20 people on at the same time at any given time. Now I’m lucky to see 5.

Lack of rewards was the biggest factor i believe it was the most complained about problem with pve and rightly so. Loot just disappeared and with it goes the players. I too have not logged in since last week. There’s absolutely no point. People tell me “well you should have had mf gear on in the dungeons and you’ll get loots” well actually that’s not 100% for everyone, people I’ve talked to all seem to have the same issue, the dungeons don’t provide anywhere near the loot they should for their difficulty level, and mf just causes more problems then it solves. Then there’s also the issue of not requiring me to run a dungeon in a game that was supposed to be all about the open world DE’s. Try to do anything open world run into the same issues. Dragon events drop nothing now. Hidden chests used to give great rewards and were affected by mf in open world, not anymore. PVE zones that have good resources are out of this world crazy hard to navigate as a pve soloer like Orr. Can’t finish anything or get solo loot thru farming without having to go into a pvp zone of WvW.

So I know exactly where you are coming from Kakeru.

If the game is in the state it’s in right now? Absolutely not. There’s no point in continuing to play when I cannot farm for goods with permaDR and broken mf, there’s no point in continuing when my class will most likely still have the same bugs it’s had since launch, and the map completion in a pvp zone plus the requirement to do fractals to do anything meaningful is not what I signed up for when I bought this game.

They need to return to their manifesto before I consider any expansions.

My first month on GW2

in Guild Wars 2 Discussion

Posted by: tigirius.9014

tigirius.9014

I for one know exactly what you are talking about nutbuter I’ve been going through it for the past two months now. Every major build that comes down the digital pipeline has had nothing but nerfs over and over again, and I’m sorry but the tiny benefit we get from sigils doesn’t justify it. I also have disdain for having to completely rebuild and completely relearn my class every patch all in the name of pvp balance. I don’t pvp so why are pvp balance actions affecting my gameplay at all? that’s right they shouldn’t be. I had high hopes because the interviews i read about this title stated they would be separating pve and pvp code behaviors so that pve players would never ever be affected by pvp balancing. That’s not been the case the entire time for me.

As far as map completion is concerned my only gripe about that is the requirement to go into a pvp zone to complete the world map. If the pvp zone is not considered an open pvp zone (meaning we can run from pve to pvp without a portal or extra teleport) then why do I have to run thru there to complete the map? I’ve seen and heard horror stories of griefers who are allowed to keep people from completing the map with siege weapons and large gangs of players on the jump puzzles and vistas. I’m afraid I’ll have to say to the map completion what I said to games like Aion that forced me into pvp situations, no thanks.

There was another thread similar to this about the burst damage builds of other classes and how they in no way match the classes that have to suffer the versatility tax.

The point many people posted about was how it made these other classes seem op when really they were working properly and how it was wrong of the design of the game to cause other classes other then Thief, Warrior, Guardians to have to give up so much because it’s causing a bigger imbalance then it should.

Now we are literally seeing people flocking to those other classes without hesitation because it IS so much easier to do anything in the game. Who needs to play an engineer rifle build when you can faceroll on a warrior, who needs to bunker engineer when you can do it so much better on a guardian, who needs condi built engi when you can do it so much better on a ranger/thief.

It’s not too much of a jump to claim that this is fast becoming a 3 class game.

I made the point that if the game right now as it is affected real life, then our military would be fighting wars with a two handed sword because those are so much more deadly then any grenade, flamethrower, chemical weaponry,or guns.

I’m not playing anymore because class balance. You can’t have fun in gw2 if you aren’t playing a thief, mesmer or a ele bunker.
I go to pvp/wvw just to be frustrated.
I will play gw2 again when they make a good balance of classes.

Same happens for PVE you can’t do anything meaningful without extreme amounts of effort unless you are playing a Warrior, Guardian, Thief. It’s ridiculous.

I play all adventurer classes. My thief has 0 problems surviving in full berserker mode in open world combat, try that on my engineer however and bam deaths all over the place. It’s partially due to the other classes having viable burst damage builds while anyone who is “versatile” gets slammed with a tax even tho that’s not what their combat post is saying about how the classes are handled.

“all classes will have equal capabilities in combat” is the shortform of what they claimed. I have yet to see it.

What makes it worse for me is they haven’t touched a single on-land combat problem since launch for engineers (sure they added sigils to kits but cmon, everything else has been underwater combat and nerfs).

If this were real life, then our US military forces would be using two handed swords instead of grenades/guns to fight our wars because they do so much more damage.

My feelings is that they have to rush in “fluff” activities other MMOs have too – fishing, housing, mounts, etc… – the game for now is almost only centered on combat. ANet must not underestimate how much those “fluff” non combat activities keep players busy – and housing or mounts, for instance, are very good opportunities to sell some juicy wanted stuff in the gem store too for the game’s income.

What I want is that when I log into GW2, I ask myself “what the hell am I going to do? I have so many choices, and all are viable and fun!”.

And I hope ANet will give up wanting to become another tiered gear game, and that ascended gear will become widely available without having to farm the same single dungeon.

The ball is in your camp now, developers. Good luck, and a happy new year to you all.

If they added something like housing, fashion (more in game accessible town clothing), fishing and all the crafting that goes along with fishing including props like parasols, chairs, picnics, camp sites etc. then I think many of us would actually be happier with the game. These small things would actually give us something to do until they fixed the classes and the loot problems. I would welcome them.

I completely agree. As a hunter in WoW i had items my engineer as a crafter could make that has whirring, movable parts. I also had items I found throughout the world all with the gear motif that had moving parts.

I was hoping to see more then just a pistol bought from a low level karma vendor that my engineer could use where you can barely see the gear move.

None of the Charr stuff has steam coming out of it and the dagger is the only thing i see moving.

The armor pieces like shields don’t have gears on them and the 1 that has something like this in the middle doesn’t move at all.

The goggles don’t move and nothing on the backpacks are mechanical and all look like hobo backpacks no matter the look of the armor.

It’s not too much to ask to be able to change the colors of the backpacks and make the armor weapons backpacks for kits and cosmetic back packs all customizable.

How do you ger rid of the Permanent DR?

in Guild Wars 2 Discussion

Hello guys!

In the last week I have been farming the sparks @ Malchor’s Leap in order to get enough lodestones for my legendary.

It’s a tedious process and maybe boring for some but I usually enjoy grinding. It relaxes me, especially that I am doing it with my guild and we are on TS3 all the time , chatting about w/e.

I can say that I have been farming in that spot for days and a lot of hours, however I did change zones for different meta events (dragons) but then came back to the same spot, killing the same mobs all over.

Everything was ok in regards to drops until yesterday afternoon when BOOM. Something happened.

I am running on almost 190 % magic find (including guild banner, guild boost etc.)

The drops were ok, stones were dropping (sometimes quick, other times rarer). Was also getting decent number of rares, even exotics.

However, since yesterday afternoon everything changed. I saw that I wasn’t getting any rares at all. No stones at all. Only T6 mats, tophies and loads of trash and blue items.
The green items were also rare.

I am 100 % positive I am under a permanent DR at this point.

I tried to do a few dungeons (like fractals, cof, ac), I changed zones again but its the same thing. The mobs from dungeons drop the same loot and it feels like this DR is haunting me forever now.

I just need someone who can help me with this and tell me how to get rid (reset) this DR?

Not playing is not an option since I am the guild leader of one of the most active guilds on our server. But also staying in one spot or completely changing zones isn’t working for me. I would do it if i knew it would work. But i see the DR is still here.

So how do I get rid of it?

Thank you!

p.s. Any troll comments will get reported. This is a serious matter and it’s affecting my gameplay really bad at this point.

Welcome to the family. been dealing with it for two months.

So today I’ve reached an impass. Decided not to log in. See the only thing I can do is my daily that’s worth anything at this point. I was only logging into the game the last few days to farm to report what I received during my farming sessions, I’d log back off immediately to report them here in this thread.

  1. Fractals still DC, so do many of the dungeons (altho i despise they have gone to this system I’ve tried it a couple of times, the drops in there are just as bad as open world for me for an enormously higher difficulty rating and often a huge repair cost.)
  2. open world events don’t give anything i can use anymore. I have all my karma armor, oddly they don’t offer exotic versions of aquatic helms or town clothing for karma.
  3. almost no rares drop for me on anything anymore mf dungeons openworld or not I hit DR withing the 6th mobs death and get either nothing or skulls over and over.
  4. the monthlies require the broken dungeons
  5. I’m no good at pvp so going to wvw is out of the question for me. with the allowed and ignored exploits to grief players trying to complete the map it’s pretty much not worth it imo.
  6. other then two niche builds the class I was interested in playing still has a large laundry list of bugs 4 months later.

So basically there is nothing to do for a legit farmer/explorer like me. I had such high hopes for this title. I guess asking a developer to keep their word about what they said their title would be pre-launch is too much to ask in the mmo market.

Oh well, I’ll be checking back in the forums over the next few months, hopefully by feb they’ll have realized what they have done to this game and fixit. I guess it’s Legend of Grimrock and Torchlight 2 for me for a while then.

The Salvage Gamble: Why?

in Guild Wars 2 Discussion

Posted by: tigirius.9014

tigirius.9014

I feel as though maybe I am missing something here…
I have singularly terrible luck trying to salvage ectos from rares, even if I use a Black Lion kit. Most of the people I know have from bad to average luck with this endeavour. Some time ago I made the decision to simply sell my rares. Currently ectos average between 25 and 30 silver each; rares sell for between 25 and 40 silver, depending on the item and supply. Assuming I buy ectos with every rare I sell, that translates to a 1:1 ratio (sometimes more, in my favour)
It’s not a great gain, no, but it is a certain gain.

Meanwhile, most people I know with luck similar to my own persist in salvaging rares… One fellow felt he did OK upon obtaining 4 ectos from a total of 6 rares. I told him that had he sold those rares and bought the ectos instead, he’d have ended up with at least 6. Yet, he still seemed to think he’d come out ahead.
I don’t understand. Is it the thrill of gambling maybe?

People can argue posting fees, but what about the cost of the salvage kit?

At this point, unless I want a shot at the rune/sigil contained in the item, I don’t see much point in salvaging.

So, if you salvage, and you don’t have great luck, why do you do it? I’m honestly a tad perplexed.

And people who salvage exotics? Unless the item has something like a Divinity rune, I don’t understand at all.

p.s This is NOT intended as a gripe thread about “nerfs” or the RNG etc. etc. I’m seriously just trying to satisfy a curiosity.

Well mine IS a gripe about RNG. Until they make it a definite (you will get blah from blah) you will have people that get 0 globs on a rare and multiple rares. What makes it so bad is people don’t realize just how bad the rare drops are for some people. Even those running dungeons with a little mf gear on aren’t getting anything.

But we’ll report it for yet another month while we’re told it’s all in our minds.

Legendary weapons stats same as exotics

in Guild Wars 2 Discussion

tigirius.9014

ANet has officially stated that Legendary stats will be bumped to Ascended when Ascended weapons are introduced.

exactly, just because they haven’t done it yet doesn’t mean they aren’t going to. So they are being sold for gold on the TP in a system where the only possible way you can get enough gold for that is if you are extremely lottery lucky or you buy gold from the gem shop. This is what is called P2W folks. That’s what people are talking about. When the only realistic means you have of getting some higher tier armor is getting it via real money. People can make all the arguments they want to about how you can spend 3/4 of a year to a whole year farming in wvw or dungeons but that’s not viable sorry especially if you have the permaDR bug across your entire account.

Losing track of cursor + terrible tab targeting

in Guild Wars 2 Discussion

Posted by: tigirius.9014

tigirius.9014

Last i checked one of the devs said they were working on this very problem with the tab targeting it’s been over two weeks since I read that thread and saw anything about it,

The targeting is off especially when being attacked by multiple mobs

The cursor disappearing thing happens do to the FR I suspect. This game has a problem with FR not sure if it’s the load required on the CPU to run it which is rather odd or because the core program hasn’t been optimized.

You do know your farming for a legendary skin right? It was meant to take time or money to get…. and again IT IS A SKIN it doesn’t affect your game at all.

… some people like to complain for the sake of complaining on these forums.

Packaged Stimulants.

in Engineer

Posted by: tigirius.9014

tigirius.9014

What it says:
-Med kit skills can be thrown.

What it actually does:
-All skills can be thrown within 900 range. (Ain’t it a little too short? Although throwing them at Mystic Toilet is amusing enough.)
-Throwing meds directly at someone’s feet does nothing. The person will have to leave the spot and walk back to pick it up. (WHYYY)
-Increases cooldown of Bandage to 15 seconds. (lolwut)
-Reduces cooldown of Drop Stimulant to 15 seconds, fury and swiftness now has 15 seconds base duration.
-All meds now can’t be picked up if you run through them really fast. (WTF)

Asked that many a time, know what response i got from the community (because, well well if you can’t be leet don’t play).
Yeah that was the entire answer.

It’s the same people who argue that there’s nothing wrong with the class because their tiny niche of a pvp build works just fine.

Or that there’s no loot issues because they haven’t been hit my the permaDR bug across their entire account.

Or that you can easily make gold you just have to spend three times as much time with no guarantee for drops doing things this game was never supposed to be focused on (like Fotm for example.)

Serious question about what MF does for you

in Guild Wars 2 Discussion

Posted by: tigirius.9014

tigirius.9014

i have a theory that if MF goes over 100% the values become Negative effectively destroying your loot.

I have wondered this too.

I think it’s that way as well. The only time I’ve ever come out of this terrible bubble is by inflating my mf all the way up to 250% which required all kinds of buffs from everything including the store. I wouldn’t recommend it.

The luck buff by itself seems to have serious issues so that’s out of the question too.

Are respawn rates being worked on?

@Above.

“I am Elementalist”. That’s why.

Elementalists were not made with such low DPS that mobs repop in their face, but then they got nerfed with a nuclear bomb.

If you did the same content with any other class you’d not have this issue.
I certainly don’t have it when I play my warrior or ranger (and necro, figures!).

As an engineer i have to laugh at the notion that your class was nerfed to the point of being unplayable. That’s not what I’m seeing in your forums everyday. You’ve even received much needed fixes the same day as the patch day and have had as many responses to your problems as the Warrior forums have.

Try a day in our shoes, you’ll see what nerfing does to a class. Every major patch has had a nerf for an already weakened class.

As to the op.

This is awesome that they are listening. The last time I saw a post on this we got the generic answer of “our software isn’t showing this problem” which made me ask the question, what’s wrong with your software if that’s the only answer we keep getting. Bravo MikeFerguson!

Now could we have someone on your team look at the open world loot problems?? (shameless plug) (smiles) (blink blink)

MikeFerguson: Here is the link to the other forum where I and many like me have been reporting the places and situations where enemies spawn to quickly, sometimes instantly. hope that helps.

Ascended gear: Thinking ahead...(1-2 yrs)

in Guild Wars 2 Discussion

tigirius.9014

Well some of us are hoping they learned their lesson from employing the dungeon only design that they have now and return to the more apt and better designed open world meta event chain system that gave everyone the chance to get the items and things they needed.

Read countless hours of interviews prelaunch about how the meta DE system was so much better then the dungeon design programming because it was faster and took less time to add new content to the game with less cost.

So……where’s the open world content? so far we’ve had 1 event chain for 1 day, we’ve had a new island with in my experience 2 DE’s no metas……

That being said I do hope they will have ascended gear utilizing the already present crafting professions not the mystic toilet. and continue to add little nooks and crannies to the world. and possibly fix the loot so we get rewarded for our time.
