Condi is a fix to the boring power-bunker-stun meta. “nerf” is never a solution, diversity is. u should be more diverse and think of some anti-condi button. and is very simple since condi builds, requires “constructon” to stack significantly amount of condi. To necro stack 30 bleed on someone isnt just press 1 button.

defense on numbers disvantage u need use ACs or give up.
but if numbers disvantage inst a issue, and u still get no kills, u should check u build.
i have a DPS necro, i have full nomad gear guard, have no issues with outnumbered maps.

Solo-suicide against blob fight is a no brain tatic. U want reward for just hit enemy players lol.

Ive been working away a lot for the last few months and haven’t had time to stay ‘on top’ of loot – and I realised just how bad it was at the weekend…

I decided to open up all the champion bags, Hot event boxes, PvP track chests and ascended salvager gifts that had collected across all 9 characters

It took me the better part of 4 days worth of play time ( I normally only get 2-3 hours when I do play) all spent moving, opening, sorting ,salvaging and selling and organising results between characters

- and for my troubles I only got 1 ascended weapon box ( I was opening all magic find boxes of which a had quite a few under the Mists buff of 200%) 1 ascended ring, 2 unique exotic weapons worth under 3G each and 1 exotic leg piece worth 1G.

Personally I don’t think 6 items considered ‘good’ from hundreds of chests with magic find buffed up like crazy is reasonable, I also don’t think its reasonable that as my magic find has increased over time ive actually been getting ore and more white items because 1. loot tables appeared to be nerfed when HoT arrived, 2. magic find isn’t worth kitten these days due to Anet deliberately removing most of the loot from being affected by magic find in the first place.

Its the ONE thing that puts me off the game for large periods of time its not ‘fun’ to save all these godkitten boxes up only to get a tiny amount of actual usable items the rest being mats that have to be stored/sold/organised into more items I can make/store/sell

Its just not satisfying….

if u sell all mats obtained from it, u get tons of gold..

the true gold from GW2 comes from mats.

This is not only true in WvW, but in all the game. Anet had to do some “rework” on the bags, at least on icons and names.

I find it incredible, this old syndrome of looking for ways to punish newbies. Newbies usually have only 1 pip because of the level, if they get lucky, plus 3 by the position of the server. In outnumbered maps, its a wasteland, so the few that are there do not even make a difference.

The only thing I agree with is imposing limitations on free-accounts. A limitation to use siege based on WvW level, which would only be removed if the player has Heart of Thorns or get some WvW level. Usually legitimate newbies ignore siege and this will not hurt them.

Ive noticed that there are more condi thiefs in pvp and tournaments. I can’t beat them as warriors because of their endless evades and condi’s…. Its so broken…..

Condi burn warrior, burn them.

the rotation is: all slot rage skills to stack much burn as u can -> headbut/fill adrenalin -> berseker mode -> longbow burns, -> swap to sword/torch -> use torch skills, ->sword #1 to stack bleed on him. … hes dead even before u finish thins rotation.

If they evade any of your attacks, they could potentially cleanse this burn over and over. This is why 1 condi builds are potentially useless against them…thanks to Escapist’s Absolution. You need more than a 1 condi gimmick build if you are going to try to condi them down. (meaning you need more variety condi sustain)

its impossible have so much condi cleanse. Every rage skill proc 1 burn stack and its aoe, theres 3 slot, plus butthead, plus when activate bersker mode. this rotate is effective even against condi necro cuz burn is the highest damage condition, so the burn kill necro before bleed kill u, burn kill thiev even much faster than necro. … thievs have low hp and defense, 4 burn stack is enough to make them run in panic mode.

if thiev stay jumping like monkey, the sigil is regen u.

the worst scenario is P/P thiev hitting u, when u fight another person, so this case is 2×1 scenario. if u fast enough to change target to thiev, u can still scape.

It’s not the algorithm’s fault.
It’s match manipulation.
That is why match making feels terrible this season.

Despite what your friends and friends of friends may admit to or not, I’m telling you right now that almost half of the participants this ranked season are running at least one kitten method of match manipulation. The try hards are running them all and since there is no division segregation anymore, that means that we all play together. Thus, no one is able to avoid the match manipulation mole throwing. It will happen to you and if you are a legit player that isn’t partaking in all of this, g’luck. I don’t even mean that in a cliché sense, I mean it literally. Good luck with who’s in your que when you hit that button.

In the previous season, it was remarkable a certain level of skill in the silver. This time it was very strange, I’m silver, but taking matches with people who do not understand the basics of the maps.

Charr Cars, had the ability to transform WvW, the mechanization of desert borderlands would have been a phenomenal feature.

To make things a bit more-“Mad Max” esque would of been such a fun concept. I suspect that unfortunately they didnt feel that large quantities of them could be managed in large scale combat, perhaps it would cause to much lag.

I hope they take ideals like this to heart and next time find a way to employ them with a bit more freedom so that mutiple people can enjoy it.

Anet’s current policy for bundles is as follows: Everyone can use it, but it will be nerfed to the point that even if everyone uses it, it will be irrelevant, a kind of anti-spam.

In old games: bundles are games changers and limited use by quantity. You can not use it all the time. Are not spammable but are relevant.

One would think the since WvW is about combat between large number of players that DBL would be modified to allow for more if it to happen.

DBL disaster, is a show of what happens when a developer listens to “smart and strategic” people, hit and runners, roamers who are often a noisy minority in every PvP game forum.

To make their hit and run without punishment, they need everything in the game to have nerf, be it defenses or be attack. In the WvW case, plus zergs.

The result is that neither they themselves play the game mode.

Condi should stay, WvW Shouldnt be designed around roamers or thievs needs, who are the minority.

As a group, you have tons of condition cleaners and rarely go beyond 10 seconds unless you are away from the commander.

The zerg fights in the power-meta era were tedious.

Yes I’ve never understood this Anet policy for bundles.
GW2 is very rich of bundles, but the anet makes them unusable.

Not only on WvW, but on Pve as well. Few exceptions are the golens, either the WvW, or the Dragon Stand.

After the DBL disaster I doubt very much.
In visual matter yes, Anet is state of the art, but for some reason the map was hated.

Is to step on eggs, if they make a new one, have to test extensively and including up even the owners of the company.

by the way zerging isnt a “brain dead” gamestyle, positioning is the key. And a large, unorganized zergs are already punished by guilds medium or even small size zergs.

Im completely pro-zerg. By the way, the anti-zerg mechanic already exists is called Structured, Player versus Player.

WvW is one of the best Mass-combat i have seen.

1-The game, shouldnt be completely designed around ppl with low end hardware. we all know, most of the ppl avoid zerg, is ppl with low end hardware.

2-The game shouldnt be entirely designed around thievs and hit and run classes. When that happens, its become camper wars.

Many people just want to relax. I do not want to be “strategic” or look “smart”. I can spend hours, a whole morning in the zerging without seeing the time pass.

Consider the current population and how many go to zerg, and how much they are roaming. Usually never has more than 15, 10 doing roaming on the map, if the anet implement something anti-zerg, the WvW would turn only a sPvP giant map version with 10ppl against 10ppl.

Story Disconnection, possible fix

This issue has been ongoing for a number of years. Different ISP’s. Different Cable boxes. Different Routers. Different motherboards with ethernet. Different ethernet cables.

So it’s not on my end.

Also, it only happens during Storyline instances. Doesn’t happen any other time.

Cuz the problema is windows cache.

i have this problem years ago, when hot launche, and yes very misterious.

i discovery that is related to “dirty” DNS routes storaged by Windows Cache. Just clean DNS cache and reset winsock, theres tutorials about it on internet.

The mystery is to know the relation of that with private instances of history mode, never had anet feedback on that.

If that does not work, change the DNS to one of these alternatives, Google, OpenDNS and repeat the process of clearing the cache again.

The most serious point is in LS2, in instances of LS2 seems to occur more than in any part of the game.

The last update of WvW was a success, I think that Anet should take advantage of the buzz that the thing generated and implement the guild versus guild.

Now that Anet has mastered instance technology, they could implement something similar to the Neverwinter Gauntlgrym system.

Gauntlgrym was a weekly battle, so I vaguely remember it, 50×50. It occurred between two sides, a “red” and a “blue”. Individual players could not sign up, only guild leaders who in guild settings chose whether it was “red” or “blue.”

The system could be easily “cloned” and adapted to the guild vs. guild demand, since 50 is the current commander limit.

Through a npc, a commander, with his formed group, would choose the “side”, Then when the time of the “battle of guilds” arrives, the two groups are teleported to fight each other.

and about the “prizes” and the like, I let the experts think, in particular, I would find it interesting that the prize for victory in this, were materials to upgrade the hall guild.

I have a traditional hate to hit a run classes.

Probably it is classes that more flood the forum asking by nerfs, turning the games into mini-games.

The traditional hit and run is obsessed by nerf, because for the class it works there can not be another class with much defense and not much attack. If the developer listens to them, all classes are left with mediocre skills, becoming a mini-game of hit and run.

I decided to give it a try for a few hours this afternoon.

Went on my thief, got on TS, didn’t join the squad or any party, just to check out what it was like. I followed the comm, attacked stragglers, did some scouting here and there, and when there was a bigger fight, I’d do my own thing and harrass the backlines.

I did at no point feel like I got less lootbags. If anything I might even have gotten more, as when the zergs were dancing around eachother, I (and others like me) was in the backline rekking fools left, right and center. When they finally started rolling, I rolled with them and tagged and finished downed. I had not a single issue with not being in a squad, no problem with not getting boons, because, y’know… thief… you should be self-sufficient.

And I’m not even a very experienced thief, or even on a decent build, so this really smells suspiciously like entitled whining and ltp issues.

i tried this role with warrior, is extremely fun, playing warr like a thiev, with their huge survival skills is fun. u can jump solo on enemy zerg to confuse them and get back with just 2 dodge rolls. the commanders loved me cuz i created oportunity to push.

The old zerg fight were boring. I like conditions because it’s a game changer. In the old mode the zergs just stay out of AoE, and can stay in that half an hour, an entire hour looking at each other without do nothing, just “positioning”.

With recent changes to wvw, it became clear that classes like guards/war/necro/eles/revs (basically those must have in squad) get advantage over other classes in wvw because they are allowed into squad and allowed to zerg in wvw which allows them to gain ranks/pips faster in wvw. Meanwhile rest of the classes get kicked/forced into roaming due to their class design which results in less rank/pip gains in wvw.
Since wvw community and devs deemed it as fair and logical system i propose that zerg classes (guards, eles and co.) gain less shards/rewards/pips in other game modes (pvp/pve) compared to other classes (engis/druids etc.) to make up for the reward difference.

Quite the opposite. Roaming classes like thief / ranger will gain more pipes on servers with outnumbered buff(5 pipes). The tipical Shadow Arts Thiev can get participation just killing sentries on a server outnumbered all day without being harassed.

Ppl wants to get the last armor just logging in to wvw to make dailies and log off lol.

2k It’s very generous, much more than a lot of HoT grind to certain achievs. Considering that it is the last armor. The visual effects of mistforged tier are slightly less than the legendary, at a much lower cost.

You try to stay on the “edges” of the main fight. No need to stay in zerg. You will be useless, and you will always be one of the first to die. Ranger is single-target, it makes no difference to be in the middle or on the edges.

Get used to the narrow-mindedness of some commanders, some even in a party of 10 or 20 man, always being beaten by bigger zerg will kik you to show how wise they are, At this point I understand you.

With the new LFG tool, you can announce a party to create minor problems for the opponent. You will have the same participation and your pipes.

When I’m in thief, I do group of 5 thieves to capture fields, ganking etc.

If yer just stealthed waiting to pick off a lone zergling with a cheese ghost tief build in a dark alley or a dueler I would expect your wvw participation would be less.

These guys are the worst in complaints and the most elitist. Their second hobby is troll team chat (T).

In every game always the same story, pvp-camper wants the whole game drawn around itself. When there are no enough idiots to be the prey on the campers zone, they start crying in team chat, how bad the game is.

And I do not respect duelists, zerg has to run them over. Want to duel go to sPvp.

Got 5 levels per night just fighting zergs with nomad gear. Zerg bursting is the way. Got into a guild, optimize your build, run on GvG, blobs fights. Run into reset.

Core Tyria pvers tend to ignore events and “news”, and focus exploring the map for months.

HoT/Raid players have a tendency to be rich, all they need to do is open the meta battle and craft some armor.

You will need to have the skin unlocked not the item itself. For example you will need to have the Triumphant Masque skin unlocked to be able to purchase the Triumphant Hero’s Masque.

This is really good news.

try participate in large Blob fights as much as possible, with some good AoE class, and bunker build to survive long. full nomad Guardian + Staff #1, if u really want milk cow, goes FULL NOMAD, its costs some gold, and trinkets is on LS2 achievments. a backpiece from Maudrey. Sometimes i got a entire level in just one fight.

I used the Demon Summon sigil is funny as hell in these fights too. gosta insta 25 stacks.

Condi brings diversity to the game. without that everything is about power meta.

I play conditions and power classes, conditions classes are complex and difficult to do. To get as many stacks of bleed, you have to stand literally waiting for a ranger to apply all the condies.

Condi must make a difference, I do not see any sense of have a mechanic in the game that in the end, do not be a game changer in the fight.

If Anet listened to all nerf requests, Guild Wars 2 would have turned into a mini-game with just the #1 button.

You say its useless, but every day i see people in wvw asking if there’s a group around. If they draw in people with rewards, and make it easier for them to find people to play with this could easily draw in the players that we desperately need in wvw and encourage them to stick around. This will help with the population problem. Its not a solution to the problem, but it will definitely help and be positive in the long term especially if they continue to make well thought out adjustments to wvw systems.

When I tried to start WvW I spent days with no idea what to do there, until one day I joined Eotm, I started to follow a commander, I soon learned that WvW is for Ktrain.

The elitist slag complains about the population, the k-train, the ball-zerg, but something tells me that these are the same ones who spend the day doing duels, afk in Ebg and talking nonsense in the chat. I think if all thes ppl want is small individual battles, why not go for pvp? It is eternally 5×5 and there they can “shine” on how good they are in chat without being nibbled by the “miserable noobs”.

The fact no one admits is that WvW is hostile to beginners and counter-intuitive. It is much easier to start in PVP than in WvW, even in Raids there is something like “training groups”.

A intuitive LFG will be good for small raid commands, small groups doing small missions. The “system” of short names in chat, is still counter-intuitive for beginners.

The Guild Wars Universe is a serious one.

Do not make me laugh, at this point it’s a complete joke.

It was clear that the anet, it seems, concluded that plushies of Taimi and Aurene sell more.

Expect Rytholock to be killed, He speaks thick and is too adult.

The dragons are sleeping, they are big and too aggressive. Villains will now be plushies versions of Gods.

And of course, the legendary weapons, will all be comic style.

If Out-Of-Character-Balthazar turned out to actually be Menzies who just ran with people mistaking him for Balthazar, it’d go a very long way towards redeeming the last episode. That much is certain.

Excessive plot-twist, is contraindicated and amateurish. I think there are enough stories of “this was not what it looked like, it was something else”.

They could use this area to make maps with some “pirate of the Caribbean” theme, involving hunting for mysterious ancient treasures, mercenary pirates, and remains of the 3 dragons, maybe even new mechanics that allow wars between big ships, maybe even minions of the “deep sea dragon”.
