They should not only encourage collective progression, such as great prizes for guilds, but also individual prizes for the style that occurs in Pvp.
There is an important detail, the base of Gw2 players like zergs, it is contradictory to adapt the WvW to small teams, when in fact, there are only small teams when the thing is tedious enough, astounding the players.
If the goal is to make WvW appealing to small teams all you have to do is make it annoying enough that only die-hard keep playing, which is pretty much what already happens.

Before the “revelation” o chp. 5, we had only a faint evidence of Balthazar being Lazarus, it was when he eliminated the caudecus guards with fire at Bloodstone Fen.
My question is whether there is any other weak evidence about Rhytlock link. Maybe I’ll play some chapters again and look for something.

I think people can argue all day about philosophies and honor, but I don’t think it’s really all that necessary. The takeaway from all this is that we have a God of War who no longer believes in war. He’s a fallen God. That’s it. Speculating on where there is or is not honor doesn’t change the fact that Balthazar is not the god of War anymore.
In fact, the wiki or lore never put much emphasis on the honor factor in Balthazar, but a “suspicious” and violent God. This is not uncommon in Greek-style narratives of Gods.
Gods who do not mind lying or cheating even their own devotees.
It was Balthazar who urged humanity to engage the other races in battle and claim the world for themselves, believing the other races would fall easily.
What is more fascinating, is that if he had been successful in his plan, to the eyes of the Tyrians, everything would have been done by Lazarus. The impression I have is that his fight against “Them” is on some other plane, and his return to Tyria was to merely regain powers, and return the fight against “them” without being noticed.

I’m not familiar with GW1 lore, but his situation is related to the war with his brother, who according to the Wiki, has not been defined yet?
His half-brother, Menzies, waged a war against Balthazar’s realm of the Fissure of Woe. The outcome of this war, or if it even ended, is unknown.
I have no idea of the origin of this fixation on this story that Queen Jennah is not herself, but I find it more realistic to give up, apparently, the idea of Anet for racial leaders, it’s something in the style "they came to stay ". at least for a while.
It is still stupid. He could disguise humself as a seer, or forgotten, or Gleam or anything but not the most untrustworthy race in Tiria. He could reveal his true self to Jennah, and gain full Krita support. Billions of options that would work better than the one we have.
And he absorbed the bloodstone, he is not that weak, he killed people by just moving a finger in Ep1. The only reason why Majory is still alive is a) she has plot armor; b) because ritual with the mirrors weakened Balthazar.
And after lazy writing of that “grand reveal” I am completely positive that Balthazar is just an Abaddon 2.0. Made a mess up there, was stripped of most of the powers by other gods, came down to feed. Just because lazy writing is lazy. To hell, they trashed one of elder dragons in most anti-climactic way this episode, why shoud I expect real effort now?
Couldn’t agree more. What were they thinking? Were they thinking at all or did they have to come up with something in a hurry?
I am so sad to see GW2 become more and more a game targeting a young audience rather than adults. The stories (and often the dialogues as well) grow childisher and more platitudinous by the year! I’m sure kids who enjoy Teenage Mutant Hero Turtles find this sort of plot fabulous. I don’t. (Hey, even the Avatar: The Last Airbender cartoon had a much better, more epic story, which appealed to adults and teenagers alike, than LWS3 E5.)

Note that Balthazar / pseudo-lazarus is constantly saying that Kryta is not important, that the Queen is worrying about trivial matters, and in this chapter(5) he said, this time that Tyria is just trivial and not important.
3 – Each chapter seems focused on a particular member of the dragons watch. The star this time was Taimi.
4 – Who is missing? Rytlock, will probably be the “star” of the last chapter, along with a return of the subject Aurene.

I speculate that “Lazaraus” is one of the human gods, either Balthazar or Kormir.
The reasons below are why I believe so.-“Lazaurus” uses “Divine Fire” magic as well as the support skill “Divine Blessing”.
• I may be wrong, but we currently only know of the human gods and the forgotten using divine magic.-Balthazar is the God of war, so I would think that he would be best in helping start a war between Primordus and Jormag.
• He may be more willing to help now with the death of 2 Elder Dragons-Also, I highly doubt any human mortal would be able to survive absorbing immense amounts of magic from a blood stone.
I will be happy, I am a fan of the concept of God Balthazar, and my main one is called “balthazar fanatic”.
try clean DNS cache + reset winsock, its vary on computer. A wrong DNS route stored by windows leads to this type of problem, even though the internet is ok. And yes it occurs more in the instances of living world.

The elites names is very magic-childish stuff, maps very predictable(and familiar), and poor design. Is very much below the anet pattern.
Mounts would be the ruin of the game’s visual, which is already in a chaotic state. That stupid other MMOS pattern where cities look like stables. The biggest difference of the GW2 to other games is exactly that you see characters, not horses.

Chapter 4 seems to me dedicated to closing old stories.
1-The rumors of Logan / Queen’s passion -> Logan has settled that he will not be able to have the queen, and will dedicate himself to be the new Pact Marschall.
2-Caudecus -> dead.
3-Canach -> finally free.
4-The whereabouts of Saul d Alessio -> they created an end for him in the Raid.
5-the political gossip, ministers, conspiracies -> the Queen has decreed a kind of “state of exception,” and Anet is likely to use this to lessen these political issues.
Closing old rumors and stories, they opened a new one that is speculation about Lazarus.
The other trend I have observed is the separation of guilds. The commander has the dragon watch, Braham will continue with their own Destiny Edge version, and we seem to have the Pact as something separate, although with common goals. Will it prepare the ground for a future, real “guild wars”?
I farmed on these maps vipers and commanders trinkets, which is a huge job and required many hours in them. So I believe I have “experience” to talk about.
Aesthetically there’s nothing to discuss, Anet has the trademark of making state-of-the-art maps. The combination of background music, lighting, etc etc is engaging.
The other strong point of Anet is unpredictability with a lot of surprise factor … to compare, as a player of the Warcraft series of the RTS era, a blizzard problem is that the maps are extremely predictable and standardized.
Now the problems ..
The biggest problem in common on the 4 maps seems to me to be the distribution of enemies / economy. Enemies are recycled designs and sometimes badly positioned. In economics, maps like Bloodstone Fen need minor adjustments.
For now, that’s what I remember.
be careful with overthinking, this hurts the immersion.. Mortal Kombat doenst have a lore to explain why players are fit for a new match after suffering a fatality. In the Street Fighter it was already clearer that the loser did not “die” was just “defeated”, with some scene appearing beaten up.

Yeah, I’m a businessman, I set aside Tuesday so I can get into the game and enjoy the patch, when they postponed it, it hurts my schedule a lot, like a lot of you. I really wanted to Tuesday because my plans for Wednesday were other … I do not even know if I was able to log in today. My schedule is heavy, I usually only have 4 hours of sleep a day.
However I love these guys and their job, I have heard that schools in the region of them had to close due to storm problem. It must be kittening great, real kitten, Jormag decided to sabotage, and attack the boys with a storm.
Let’s be patient, and hope for the best, let’s hope they’re safe. I have no idea what a storm it is because I live in a permanently hot place. But imagine that if civil defense is triggered, it is because the problems are great.
I was player style “I hate pvp” before GW2. The one from Gw2 I find quite casual and funny. The pvp matches in Gw2 are light and fast, almost a minigame inside Gw2.

I love Dragon’s Stand. I spend a lot of time in this zone merely playing the game and not even bothering with the loot, on a bad day I can just drop everything I am doing and zone out for a bit, and enjoy myself some Dragon’s Stand. I get three flavors of events and bosses to choose from, and occasionally I mix the three for good measure.
Dragon Stand is a state-of-the-art map in terms of aesthetics and “atmosphere”. I’m an old guy, and I’ve never seen such an engaging map. The first time I was there, the music, the colors and the shapes gave me shivers.

dumbest topic, its not a issue to be solved.
The tendency is to find that great Norms or Chaars are commanders. As my main in WvW is a Char or a Norm, I tend to be mistaken with the commander and pin-sniped. The commander, in turn, is an asura and is probably happy with this.
If the commander is often being targeted, then it means that he is actually far ahead and his zerg disorganized so as to never follow him.

Mesmer or Thieves commanders are the worst at it, i have see some guys porting ahead and left they zerg behing.

this event is clearly buggy., the chack spam is unproportional to any area in the game for a non world boss event.
Perhaps he is a new Minister, because Caudecus betrayed Kryta, so in the Palace is the blank space. I did Human Story many times, but this is the 1st time I see him.

- DR great political upheaval. Caudecus stuff starts to create a rift in the human society. Do we now get finaly a civil war? I mena, we forgot the Sylvari incident pretty quick.
- Great to see some Watchknights again… hope we also get them in action.
- more emphasis on Primordus and Jormag
- Siege on DR, I hope it allows for some restructuring.
- Breaking the kitten ? Water flowing (Visible at 0:54)? DR underwater? Bubbles confirmed (just joking). However, I always thought these things could be dangerous. I don’t believe Queensdale get’s flooded though.

Anyway, sounds interesting. No Islands of Jantir and I hop we get a Norn follow up after that lackluster ending, but I will enjoy my three hours next week.
About politics and analogy with Sylvari: This was a part that promised a lot in the hot trailers and was very poorly developed. We were expecting a great “civil” war, and all we had is a series of small events in verdant brink where you interrogate some sylvaris, or differentiate dialogues when playing the HoT story with Sylvari. The trailers showed blood, war, massive battlefields, and we had none of that. If they continue in this pattern it will be a disappointment.

I play with near all classes, except mesm and element.
In terms of versatility the champion is the necromancer, with the viper set, you can change u role just by changing some traits. And in extreme cases changing the trinkets. Necromancer is op on high levels fractals.
The guardian is quite versatile too, however it requires more sets saved, because the guardian is more dependent on armor stats than other classes.
Condi guardian with burn is very fun, theres build for classic zerker gear or still a never-die-guardian with some bunker gear.
Why did I emphasize versatility? For players who do not usually have many classes, versalitidade is important if u get bored with some gamestyle.
In my case I have several classes, it’s not a problem, because when I get caught up with one, I play with the other.
Since the public on these forums seems to be obsessed with nerfs, I will speak as one of them and what I hope.
1. End of open world maps, the whole game will be redesigned to instanced fractals style.
2. Without more squads, the content will be limited to 10 players to the maximum.
3. End of WvW, the new WvW will be a “raid” of 10 players against 10 players, the pvp maps can be reused.
4. All classes may use any weapons, and any specialization. Profession will be merely cosmetic.
5. End of personal history, you will write your own story, using standard templates provided by the game limited to 10 chapters.
6. End skin bosses, all bosses will be redrawn flat, like ley-line anomalies.
7. Much less fighting and mobs on the maps, the maps will focus on verticality and jumping.
8. Finally transform GW2 into a mere mobile minigame.
the free skins for completing some free cost achievs inst bad at all. and hot stats equips.
The economy isnt bad, is better now. The Game should be fair to the new players not hard. if the “old players” control the prices the game will gonna in the situation of Korean grind games. BTW im also a “farmer”, if the prices isnt atractive to farm, just go enjoy the content like hunting AP points, WvW fun.
Well, for those need leather, just go to Bitterfrost, and run all kodas flame events, farm it.
I do not care about “farmers” and market manipulators, I’ll teach you how to make Bitterfrost map and make videos.

I can believe that most expensive “fire look” item is pale and boring compared to more cheaper like the Volcanus(500g), or the gems ones.
Look at this, where is the 1k g item?
Option 1: Supreme Glass Cannon(very risk, but fun and challengeful, and tons of damage)
Spec: Strength + Arms + Berseker.
Runes: Rune of Strength.
Armor, Weapons e Trinkets: Berserker.
Sigils: Sigil of Force, Sigil of Strength, on GreatSword. … On Longbow sigil of of Strenght and Sigil of Bloodlust to stack the max power u can.
Food: The ones that buff u with Might. for perma 24stacks of might.
Slot Skills: Sigil of Critical, Sigil of Force, “For the Great Justice”(for semi-perma fury combined with one when u active berserker mode), Elite: Head Butt for insta adrenaline full. … The Heal Skill is very optional here, u can sigil of heal, or one of regens skills.
Option 2: Have fun with perma burn, same setup as above, but with the berserker skill that grant burn on rage skill use, and king of flames. Runes of Berserker on armor, and Sigil of Smoldering on Weapons, all elites and slot skill are rage, perma burn while also maintain big power creep.. Plus: Volcanus skin on your GS.
with these status and good group, u can reach 100% critical, insane ferocity, and 3200+ on damage stats. if u feel rich, get the power agony infusions(20g cost on average). Perma 24 stacks of might(or 18 at least), perma fury.
The downside: lack of mobility, lack of condi clean, u need rely on knowlodege of mobs encounters to avoid trapped on some letal condi atacks, and for specific situations when u need speed like Tarir MM farm, sweap arms for discipline. This build is extremy risk-reward style.
PS traitline sucks outside of specialized groups…, the 5% damage bonus from bleeding creatures from arms is better than 150 power,, the fury is as plus, and some condi dmg if u like hibrid builds.

These forums are a funny thing, we usually see each other suggesting things that would take tons of programming, and a simple change of those suggest that “it should adapt.”

The new Bitterfrost Frontier map also seems to be good place with tons of events every minute, but as those two have dimishing return maybe that is why people choose Tarir?
Events? People farm Tarir by abusing the taxi system to farm the reward chests under Tarir 10+ times per cycle. In Bitterfrost, you basically do the same thing by collecting the frozen chests, then hop to a new map to do it again. There’s no DR on chests.
Frozen Chests loot sucks, the gold in Bitter Frost is on events.

LS1 is being “compacted” on Fractals. Not to complain, the last one, the tower, was a good one.
What Anet need do for awhile(In which they are supposedly occupied with more important things), is little polishments on lore resources. A even, a better “encyclopaedia” ingame, just little improvments that doenst require big work.
1. A better history encyclopedia.
2. Nothing too sophisticated, a menu somewhere, in the home instance in Rata Sum for example, where you would activate a device, where you would choose the kinetics of things that you have already opened in the game.
3. They could copy the concept of “campaign” from neverwinter online, in the “campaign” screen the player sees everything related to that “expansion”, items, lore, and maps, and titles. But to be clear, only the “interface” (UI), not the mechanics, the mechanics is a terrible grindfest. A lot of people have no sense of where to go in the game. The neverwinter campaign interface makes the players set a goal. A sample here.
I do not have good expectations about this “fire and ice” thing, it seems to me:
1. A means of shortening the game, maybe even sign of closure, “we must kill 2 dragons soon to go faster.”
2. A means to make final fight against dragons cheaper. “It will not take a great battle because they are already injured after fighting against each other.”
3. A much weaker expansion than HoT.
My expectations will be wrong in the future if:
1. Facing 2 dragons mean double content in relation to HoT.
2. If develop into a plot more attractive and larger than HoT.
3. A really great expansion.
4. 2 large final battles, more epic and more interesting than the two dragons we faced before (Mordy and Zaithan).
