Option 4: nerf might stacks from Blast finishers from 3 to 2 stacks.
Ele is strong not because of celestial, but because it has too many ways to blast and stack mights. Blast mights is too easy to come by for them. Try to play an Ele without mights blasts, and you will realize how wet noodles they are.
Nerfing Celestial is the wrong solution. What makes Ele OP right now is the might blasts. It should take the work of a team to blast and get the whole team to 25 stacks might. 3 stacks is too much for just a blast.
not to mention the fury upkeep turning that 25-30% crit chance into 50% making much better use of the crit damage celestial also has, take away fury and might and it’s a real wet noodle.
I really think anet should take a look at how might stacking works and turn it more into an individual thing that has to be trained for like an engineers hgh build as it can reliably solo stack 25 might and a lot of other boons but has to give up some of its best skills for elixirs like healing turret and some of the kits, as of now a build like hgh is rendered useless in a proper team because a team can easily aoe stack 25 might and an engineer can just take its most beneficial skills that bring the most utility/damage, I’d like to remind people of the old hgh rabid engineer that was popular in spvp a long time ago, it was one of the best roaming specs because it could take nearly anything 1v1 (arguably still can) but now with anti boon builds becoming more of a thing bringing might back inccheck could make the game a whole lot more balanced and team structure/tactics a more thought about part of the rather then current way it’s been going.
yea I got spirit watch heaps overy the last 2 days if it wasn’t spirit watch it was sky hammer I think I got another map maybe 3 times and I’m not sure exactly how many games I played but it was enough to do at minimum an entire reward track.
i managed to get him below half soloing him befor other people showed up toke a bit but i like a challange its all in the cripple chills and immobs, and i throw on some regen skills so i my hot’s out do any of the conditions he puts on me.

Assume for a second that the gods did know about the elder dragons, the gods gave magic to humans, until it got to a point that the leader of the humans had to ask the gods to take it away and they did, i like to think that the gods knew that magic could be used to fight the dragons assuming the wielders could use it well enough but instead humans proved to be incapable of that which in turn made them very suseceptable to corruption from not being able to protect there minds and we can assume this thanks to the pale tree protecting the sylvaris minds from corruption so the magic was taken away so not to give the dragons more reason to wake up, alternatively they assumed technology would take the place of magic in fighting the dragons which so far has proved allright.
now i assume that abbadon had a grand plan, he went to a whole lot of trouble to get back to tyria and if he knew about the dragons and didn’t have a plan to beat them i think he would have held off on getting back to tyria for a while longer especially since the other gods would have had no way of helping humans beat him if they themselves where in the mists waiting for the dragons to go back to sleep, now if he had a grand plan to fight the dragons what would he use, it would have to be something that wasn’t around the last rise because if it was then the elder races probably wouldn’t have gotten messed up that badly, it also would likely be magical in nature because abbadon waged a war to keep magic around, and it would also have to have a resistance to dragon corruption because what good is all that magic if the dragons just genna eat it up, and that leaves me thinking the pale tree and a few reasons as to why it could serve as abbadons weapon of war against the dragons, 1. the pale tree can pump out tons of sylvari to fight as soldiers, 2. the pale tree can protect its spawns from corruption and to further extant cleanse corruption, 3. while not all sylvari want to kill the elder dragons but largely want to defeat the elder dragon as the pose the biggest threat and alot of sylvari have gone to great extents to combat them, 4. they are in the grand scheme of things a relatively young species and apparently not around during the last elder dragon rise, 5. they were hidden away and i would assume because abbadon needed to protect them from the other gods who were destroying anything to do with abbadon until a time abbadon could get back to tyria, 6. they sure do seem pritty magical to me.
now the only question left is how does kormir feel about this and what would the point of killing of the elder dragons have to offer abbadon assuming he succeeded.

i ran this in WvW for kittens and giggles immune to cripple chill and immob and if they do immob you ya get a free stealth, any other conditions are to short a duration to do anything and getting stunned just makes you tankier like eating a whole 2k hundred blades lolol, mostly the idea was to see how long i could bait a zerg for which in one case ended up with atleast 10 people following me off a cliff the best part was the tiny tiny spot that apparently you could land on half way down that somehow i landed on

Hey my names Ukune, and im sick of hearing peoples complaining and QQ and im sure alot of people are, and i guess you can figure out where the majority of the QQ is coming from, yea its spvp.
Anyway i usually hang out in WvW and i have a good time i talk to people on the other server who give me a good fight we duel talk about builds and generally mess about, every now and then you have some kittenbag who spams a party invite trying to call you cheap or a scrub running meta or some bullkitten but its not very often and most of the time its generally a pretty good experience (except for zergs but avoiding them is half the fun), so i decide to hop into some solo que for a while since alot of my roaming buddys have been trying out new games and solo roaming can be painful at times, anyway it didn’t take long for the smack talk to start and as an engineer main you can guess half of what i hear (im 50% sure its the 2 years of maining engi that makes me good).
The other half of the smack, its usually 1 person from your own team or the enemy team complaining about there team and usually singling out anyone who tells them differently and the worst part is it dosent stop there you get whispers and you usually end up syncing with the same people dragging the experience on which not only makes the problem worse but they ruin potential victory’s and good games by consistently singling said person out or making it harder on there team.
What i want is for anet to make spvp’s chat and name plates like WvW meaning you cant see my name and you cant abuse me threw map chat and non optional standardized models so people cant look out for me and are forced to brew on there own anger rather then chase me around the entire map trying to kill me, this wont remove all the toxicity since your own team mates still get kitteny at times but as of current the amount of hate getting thrown around an spvp match is worse then the old WvW Matchup threads, atleast with this implemented it will stop enemy’s from dragging there problems threw games and cut the problem down a bit, my only issue with this is it removes some of the community aspect from the game but it feel its necessary for spvp at this point in time.
Im sure alot of people will just tell me to ignore them or block them and just get back to having fun but the fun aspect starts to lose its novelty when its a consistent problem, im also aware that there are other problems that should be addressed first like leavers and afkers but honestly people ruining games to fuel there destructive ego is still an issue.
1/2. it really depends, I know poison grenade will help with downed body pressure and cleaving but I also know that it will inhibit healing specs/warriors I like to save the blind grenade for defensive reasons, shrapnel grenade I allways try to use when it’s off CD it hits hard and the conditions are amazing and follow it up with a freeze grenade, assuming I land those 2 i should more then likely be able to drop a barrage with little to no problem and landing those 3 together is huge damage output with the right traits, as for the eg and tool kit aside from blasting your ht with acid bomb and magnet into prybar there really isn’t much else to using them, throw wrench is great for fight ranged/running away opponents as it does good dmg and cripples so you can get in close, something I like to do that not a lot of people I see doing is following up overcharged shot with the eg stun breaker since overcharged shot is a really long knock down activating your stun breaker gives you heaps of time to unleash heaps of damage but it does use up your only stun breaker and whilst it can be effective make sure you plan out how your going to use it and remember a lot of other people will probly use a stun breaker after your first overcharged shot.
3. depends on the enemy, most of the time I won’t use nades auto but things like mm necros and turret engineers can be quickly delt with from the aoe of nades, when your assaulting a point you can also more easily land them from range because you know your enemy’s intentions is to not let you decap and the range of nades can keep you at a safe distance and harass your enemy enough to give you a great advantage.
4.aside from bombkit making a mess of anything melee and specific kits filling roles in particular builds like ft in decap builds there isn’t much more to them aside from changing how you approach a fight.
I definitely get this issue. Its horrible to see Net Shot and Blunderbass misses 30% of the times for no explainable reason considering how important those skills are.

I think the worst part is that 30% is after carefully planning it so it doesn’t fail.
When the Engineer is standing still, the Overcharged Shot and Net Shot cause the Engineer to auto-face the target.
Only if Autotargeting is turned on.

Jesus dude i have died so many times to these problems, its even more annoying since overcharged shot is kittening amazing for breaking immob and countering people in a 1v1 or similar situations and its just like hey let me just put that on cd for you so you have time to figure out how to get outta this immob.
id doubt we ever get to see abbadon again but we might hear something from kormir, and when i say hear something i mean we wont see her either we will get a mail from someone or find a slip of paper that hints at someone having a connection to kormir.
if Abbadon knew about the elder dragons its save to assume that kormir does and having a much closer relationship with humans (was a human and not long ago) it wouldn’t be a stretch to say she is helping how she can without risking herself to the dragons.

you should add extremely rare drop chance items into the game that tell the story, make it in parts so its essentially the same as what happened in this topic, make it so rare that people lliterally have to come together and share there parts of the stories they have found in order to find out what the whole story is, it would add a whole new fun aspect to exploring the game.
im useing a razor naga, i only use my 6-0 skills on it and everything else is all with my left hand, everything is defult for me to so E and Q are still turn which apparently isnt what the pros do but kittenm i find those keys so handy when i need to kite and throw nades

as someone whos played the engineer very extensively i can say that kit swapping is so fast in multikit builds there is no way to deduce what kit an engineer is using other then seeing what he does next, weapons are allmost a dead give away to tell what another class is using because of there distinctive look and general knowledge about weapon sets/combinations across the classes, but considering other classes have a cd on there weapon swap its a much more easier to pick what weapons an enemy is using by there stance and the weapons (the way you look when holding certian weapons), but on an engineer if you take some kits you literally cannot pick what kit he is using befor he does something with that kit with the exception being EG and FT but even then in the middle of combat chances are youll pick hes in flamer or EG from the next skill hes uses befor you see the kit itself, so there fore hobosacks are not a visual que for seeing what kit an engi is using befor he uses a skill from that kit, icons would be neat but the speed of which an engineer swaps kits would make it next to impossible to predict anything an engineer is doing from looking at those icons so its also a no go from me, so the only thing that could be done for kits in pvp is well not much.
as for how i feel about the hobo sacks, if i could make them match my outfits id be okay, id really like to see them changed to something hip mounted so it dosent cover our back item but still gives us a unique visual identity, even if maybe they added an extra color slot into the dyes area that applied the different colors across all the hobo sacks so we could at least add a small amount of personalization to match our outfits.

The long answer is: Just prior to release there was a Twitch TV interview with Jeff and Ree, and at the end they’re asked about Glint’s baby and whether, and their response hints that Glint was not corruptible by Kralkatorrik again, but whether the same holds true for her baby we saw in GW1 is unknown – as is its current state of being.

We also don’t know whether Elder Dragons can consume the magic of other Elder Dragons and their minions – all we know about ED interaction is that they tend not to interact, but when their minions do said minions kill each other like they would any other creature not corrupted to their kind (and the ED just don’t give a kitten about a few lost minions so no aggression created).
helpful as allways, I’m thinking if it was glints baby it might have a way to negate dragon corruption like the pale tree does for sylvari except for more races.

I’d say with aether blades and now rytlock in the mists we will either see a daring rescue mission to get rytlock back or he’s taken out maitrin and is now the leader of the aetherblades or they realized the done kittened up helping scarlet and team up with rytlock.
I couldn’t help but notice the added effect on the new superior runes of evasion, not onlyare they vvery good for power engineers but they have swiftness on dodge roll combine that with the vigor on swiftness trait and we are back to having perma vigor upkeep which further bolsters our defensive options running a power build, now out of every class we can easily upkeep endurance dodge rolls up more effectively then any other class (skill dodges don’t count) so effectively we can upkeep heaps of fury/swiftnessand vvigor just threw these runes which is amazing for the engineer provided you are running a build similar to static discharge its possible to dump 30 points in the firearms line and with the fury upkeep maintain high crit chance to keep our damage output at a good level, now comes the best part and that is an engineers ability to kite, we all know that engineers are a great mix between close range and long range so that easily allows us to use the 6th bonus on the rune and it fits greatly with the engineer skill sets, Im still unable to log in for a few days and test this out but the theory sounds solid any one have any experiences yet that could make for solid build crafting?
could take strength or aristocracy, without knowing your ranger build one has to assume it’s hybrid if your your taking celestial which works better with might stacking you get from those two particular runes so far I’m assuming your planning heavier on conditions so aristocracy could be very good for the condition damage and the extra might durationn wwill help with stacking might which cwould be easy now due to the axe stacking might.

long story short I’m without internet for the next few days and only have phone internet, the suspense is getting the best of me and I need to know, what’s the damage like on maxddamage engineer trained with the new elixir x? I really want to get in there and test it but still have to wait a few more days and no ones posted anything yet so I’m assuming the rng factor still makes it unreliable to use properly, so if someone would be so kind to fit out full zerker and go wreak some kitten in wvw (50% of the time) and then tell me your experience it would be much appreciated.
I’m going to enjoy using this amulet with a static discharge engineer, I’ll never ever see a normal number it’ll be odd seeing a normal number for me, I’ll feel like the game is bugging out when I see it.
Turrets might actually be the best addition to the build. Switch Soldier for Dire, slap on Flame Turret and Thumper Turret, and you’ll have a Smoke field, source of Burning, Cripple, Knockback and a Stunbreaker. Otherwise, I’d use Gadgets – either Slick Shoes and Utility Goggles for two stunbreaks, or replacing either with Throw Mine for boonstripping and control.
throw mine would be great for decap potential to making g it that much more of a pain in the kitten and with the reveal on goggles now will add a decent amount of team synergy threw messing with thief/mesmers and helping to secure stomps by stopping sstealth ressing, but with turrets I’d prefer to take rocket and rifle myself assuming you were using soldiers ammy you could potentially not take the trait to increase there health and place them well off the point freeing up traits for survivability without risking the turrets, luckily the traits are all in a nice place for both turrets and gadgets, in final I think we should prepare ourselfs for the inevitable “nerf engi stupid op” posts that will be coming.
Lessee. Hm. Since the traits trigger at 25%, whether the skills it affects are on cooldown or not, the Engineer needs to use both AED and Toss Elixir R before they reach 25% HP.
Given the hefty ICD of both traits…The first two uses would just be ‘prolong Bar 1 of the fight,’ with Toss R being used to clear conditions and AED being used as a standard, if delayed, heal; enemies might catch on and disengage, after seeing both of these used. After that, AED when low for the big heal, and then Toss R when about to actually go down.
With Always Prepared slotted, of course, the momentary dip into Downed would actually be advantageous, due to the bandage drop and knockdown zone, allowing the player to recover more HP than normal after the fall, potentially while the enemy is knocked down.Throw some other traits (Stabilized Armor, Protective Shield, Acidic Coating, Protection Injection, and Armor Mods, maybe) on, and while you’re unlikely to ever get a kill, you’ll maybe be more trouble to kill than you’re worth in a one-on-one, with…just…so much HP. With the Soldier’s amulet (for added durability) and either Dolyak (for the regen) or Melandru (for condition/stun mitigation), and maybe Pistol/Shield for #4 and #5…seems like a really annoying build to me, at least.

As I recall from when I was originally trying AED out, it works just fine – but only when the initial AED use is before the AMR trigger. It’d be really cool if they actually set things up so that the on-hit resets would just only trigger when things were on cooldown. It might actually get people to use AED for the sheer ‘and now I have three health bars!’
I wonder, with reselixir and amr and aed how long an engineer could sit on a point under heavy fire, imagine if it was more annoying then decap.

I used a full soldiers set with runes of strength and knights jewels with a hgh nade build, it actually works really well and tanks amazingly well, if you focus time max out your power and I can’t actually remember anymore but I think your able to get over 4k power which makes for some devastating hits even without crit
i used to run around dueling rooms with my guild as “I Crate And You (Cry)”
but seriously though people who complain about crate just arnt that good, infact me and my buddys actually train so they can learn to beat crate easymode and vice versa, so never ever feel ashamed to crate 1v1, its literally a l2p issue.
ive had a permanant 1 sec skill lag for about a week now, during sometimes of the day i get skill lag but i assume thats local (australian here) but most of the time im playing around midnight-4am time area and i used to get no lag at that time but now its allways skill lag
has anyone ever thought that maybe just maybe the ossuary is where they attach severed limbs to severed limbs to make a new able corpse to fight? and those abominations dont just magically stitch them selfs together (atleast i dont think they do).

You guys are over-reacting. This build will still kill opponents too slowly. It will remain a WvW roaming class. The closest comparison is P/D thief. They are great for roaming, but are too slow to kill to ever be useful in most PvP matches.

To add* your rifle static discharge didnt have static discharge on it, im not expert but i think it needs that trait to be a rifle static discharge build, ill also add the go hard or go home version which with a bit of practice found can burst down any target no matter the bunker.
