I’ve tried putting settings on all high as well and no luck. Noticed the leather strap that comes off the belt and the leather on the leggings. Looks a bit pixelated compared to some of the other armor my characters have.

Also have this problem. :|

Ah, aliyanna, is it an aye-lee-yAnna or ah-lee-yanna?
My little Asuran “Can Do” Engineer is widely known as Tinkers Bits, having been accused of taking apart any new mechanical marvel and repurposing it much to the chagrin of those around him.
But some people call him… Timm.
Haha, Tinker Bits is a cool name for an Asura Engineer. I named my Asura Mesmer “Ailomer.” Thought it sounded cool :P

asuras can’t stand on mortars
I laffed.

As a necro, I oftentimes giggle when a thief daggerstorms and expects to live. Plague Signet and Corrupt Boon make it much too easy to melt thieves.
Fort Aspenwood
If, for nothing else, Asura would be the best choice (especially if you go condition build) because of pain inverter. I made mine sylvari though and it looks pretty awesome.

Warriors are not beasts in teamfights. We’re next to useless in WvW. There is no justification taking a Warrior over a Thief. Or Mesmer. Or Elementalist. That unholy trinity rules WvW.
You clearly do not understand the power of a hammer warrior, or man a lot of siege.
Came here to say exactly this. Hammer warrior are beasts.

All I have to say is that I agree warrior needs work. I rolled warrior as my main and after going necro, I don’t even want to touch my warrior sometimes (despite the glaring problems with the necro traits/builds themselves). Like everyone else said: “should have rolled a thief.” I made a thief just for kicks to test out in sPVP and have to say that, with no experience whatsoever, the thief is one of the easiest classes to play (despite many peoples’ objections). I found myself dumbfounded at how easy it was to kill with a thief in contrast to the numerous warrior builds I tried. Perhaps I’m ranting a bit, but I find the warrior (aside from DPS) to be one of the most broken professions in the game and among the ranks of necros and engis.

Yes, lets make an OP skill more OP by taking away the only counter available. Sorry if this response is harsh and your post well-intentioned… but the consequences would be ridiculous.
OP? Plague is nice but far from OP, you may upset some people with Poison + Blind + Chill (Traited) and I like it very much for group fights and dungeons. But that’s it.
I would like to see Plague work more offensively, the 1 is plain bad and the 3 is really short, if they manage to get away for you (Really easy) you don’t have anything to close the gap, if you yourself get crippled, chilled or immobilized then you depend that people are not paying attention, because they just have to walk away a little from you.
Once the enemy knows how Plague works, you’re in a tight spot.
Have to agree. Even fully specced for condition damage, it’s damage is still quite pitiful. The only thing worthwhile in plague form is weakness/blindness. Otherwise, you’re better off with Lich or something else.

Have to say, been running with this build for quite some time with a few trait modifications (20/30/10/10/0), but otherwise down to the T. I absolutely love it. The only thing I sometimes have trouble with is thieves who stealth and ezmode backstab in WvW — especially with culling. Other than that, warriors, guardians, mesmers and the like have had some serious problems trying to take me down before my conditions melt them. I used this gear/build before I found your guide, but it is certainly a lot more information than I originally went in with and it has helped tremendously both in 1v1 and zerg fights. Thanks Lopez!

Only modification I would make is choose Rabid gear instead of Carrion. then use chance sigils (like sigil of earth or blood). For WvW, I use corruption sigils on my staff and focus offhand and earth sigil on my scepter.

Warrior DPS is straight up broken. No class can compare to a greatsword warrior with not only the ability to put up huge numbers, but also to do so with cleaves on pretty much all of their attacks. There’s a video on youtube of a rifle warrior critting other players for 20K with kill shot at range, which effectively one-shots almost any class. That’s just stupid powerful, especially considering all of the abilities warriors have to get out of trouble, and high armor, and high HP. Auto-attack is doing 3-4K. Either they need a nerf, or other classes need some buffs, because as someone who plays a warrior, thief, ele and mesmer, warrior does twice as much damage as the thief and ele, and 4 times as much as the mesmer.
The class does not need a nerf. Take a look at the warrior forum, forum warrior.

Haha, I like that evil grin
Hah, didn’t notice till now. Thanks :P

Sylvari or Asura in my opinion. This is what mine looks like.
Fort Aspenwood
I would recommend full Rabid gear.
Fort Aspenwood
I roll 0/30/20/20/0 with a full Rabid set of armor and jewels. With staff + scepter/dagger, I can tell you right now it is more than viable in WvW. I oftentimes take on groups of 2 or 3 and manage to kill at least 1 or 2 before going down or getting away. The extra toughness from precision/toughness/condition damage gear helps a lot and bombing with over 1548 condition damage (before sigil of corruption, might and food buffs) and 2798 armor can melt some players very quickly. I would recommend a conditionmancer with wells/corruption skills. If you use wells, the ground-targeting ability is fantastic for disrupting enemy turtle tactics. I highly recommend it.
Also, with all that extra toughness, I can go in head first with Plague and spam #2, allowing my teammates to come in and finish them off while they focus fire me. It works wonders. Moreover, epidemic + mesmer confusion glamour builds MELT zergs. And I do mean MELT.

Necros got something great this patch. Power/Toughness/Condition trinkets in Orr for Karma yay.. Now I don’t have to spend 20g each for my ring.s
I almost dropped 34g on two Plague rings. Now I don’t have to.
Fort Aspenwood
I’ve done this so many times… >.>

I did notice something strange. On my warrior, I had clerics and healing equipment for the longest time and kept getting some pretty bad loot in mobs/dungeons. Switched to berserker’s just recently and BAM, loads of rares. Seems to have died down now since I switched (a few days ago), but why the sudden switch in rarity after changing armor?
Fort Aspenwood
JQ, i am disappoint. y u no do werk.

I love using “Fear Me” when thieves try to use the AOE cloak.

What’s odd is that we managed to hold off SM with half as many people as SoS or SBI.

Wookie:
There are two additional ways (in addition to Runes) for a Warrior to remove conditions that being:
1. Sigil of Purity: 60% Chance on Critical: Remove a Condition (Cooldown: 10 seconds)
2. Mending healing skill removes 2 conditions instead of healing signet which you have in your spec atm.My build is similar to yours but I forgo Beserkers power to put 15 into discipline for “fast hands”. Being able to switch weapon sets every five seconds is indispensable in WvW (a class defining skill and a clear advantages in terms of mobilty set offhand/ every other class has to wait 10 seconds to switch).
As you know from your build, all shouts:
1. Shake it off
2. For great justice
3. On my mark
4. Fear meAll four remove conditions with Rune of Soldier (not to mentions shouts heal grandmaster trait is synergistic with conditon removal).
Like you I also stack Power/Vitality/Toughness exotics—shout healing Warrior with P/V/T exotics plus a couple Cleric’s exotics to slightly increase healing power is very strong (just remember that power does nothing for condition damage so to make the most of that power you need direct damage weapons i.e. mace or greatsword or axe as your using).
You have a solid build I would just strongly suggest you switch to mending.
Awesome, thanks for the help everyone!
Quick question: what trinkets do you put on the cleric jewels and do you go full cleric jewels? :o

That’s my current build. I was going more for a survivability/tanky warrior that could help groups in WvW. I use soldier runes and sigils of energy on my shield and greatsword and sigil of force on my axe. It made me wonder though, why is it that warriors have to buy runes to remove conditions when others already have the ability to remove some?
I should also mention my armor is typically switching from full P/V/T and P/T/HP both with soldier runes.
Perhaps I’m misinformed, but it made me kinda sad.
