I love how everyone skips over Guardian as a healer. Not like it matters because GotL and spirits overshadows everyone but they do exist.
guard is a diff kind of healer the aegis spam and protection make it more of a dmg midigation healer rather than a straight healer
or ps warr
No, PS war gains a lot from elite spec. Without berserker you can’t even run a condi build really, and power war sucks even with elite spec.
power ps warr is fine without elite spec and not everyone runs condi warr and for fractals power ps is fine
What about Revenant healers with Ventari? I planned on creating one, are they not competitive?
They’re fun as hell and really good at keeping people alive. Having played one a lot recently because my guild lets me play whatever I want, I find that they’re a middleground between elementalist and druid. To help out I’ve created a little pros/cons table below.
Elementalist
- Exceptional HPS (~5k)
- Weak burst heals
- No damage boosting modifiers
- Extremely low personal DPS (~800-1.4k)
Druid (Magi)
- Low HPS (~2.5k)
- Strong burst heals
- Exceptional damage boosting modifiers (GotL/Spirit/Spotter)
- Low personal DPS (1.2k-2.5k)
Druid (Condi)
- Low HPS (~1k)
- Weak burst heals
- Exceptional damage boosting modifiers (GotL/Spirit/Spotter)
- Good personal DPS (10k-12k)
Herald
- High HPS (~4k)
- Strong burst heals
- Mediocre damage boosting modifiers (AP)
- Decent personal DPS (3k-5k)
herald is idd a really good pick to bad gotl overshadows the rest healing classes
I never said anything about skills. I said Traits. As in this window.
I don’t know why I can’t get [img][/img] to work on that, but oh well.
Most specifically, I see people opening the traits window seemingly directly and switching between these two traits;
Dash and Bound. Still waiting to see if anyone can answer this for me.
but w8 arent traits and skills the same thing? OMG the game isnt clear enought and i strugle dealing with that.
Nah. That was three years ago and my original post only talks about the redesign of the Swamp fractal and I had no problem with the previous one save a few bugs which could have been fixed without a redesign. Then I just asked should I even bother pugging without HoT skills because at 40+ it seems to become a toxic cesspool where I run the risk of getting booted. Doesn’t matter if I can do it or not and I have done many 40s including the swamp already thanks to some not throwing a fit but the problem still stands. If I can do it without HoT skills then why are some people acting like its a requirement.
So your complaint is that elite specs power creeped a lot? Yeah I agree. But they are a business, they need to sell the expansion, it sucks, the world sucks sometimes. But you gotta notice all the good stuff they did too.
If your really determined to play fractals without hot, just play power engi. Power engi is competitive dps and doesn’t bring elite spec. Condi ranger and condi engi also don’t bring elite spec, but they use viper gear (HOT exclusive). Power engi just brings berserker armor in its meta build.
or ps warr
Wat bosses do ele lose in dps to necro?
the few boses that adds mater mursaat overseen and deimos cm
What about Revenant healers with Ventari? I planned on creating one, are they not competitive?
they have stupidly good burst healing but they are hard to pull of coz theres alot of precasting
If only they listened to thé community This could have been avoided.
what did the community suggest? Either way esports came to early there wasnt even a proper ranking system
I kind of hope we never learn much about it. I like having a few mysteries in the game (and would like to see even more).
I prefer mysteries like how the world was when lupicus’ were roaming free the lands to be kept secret. But this one, this i want to experience and its right in our faces AND the devs keep teasing it so why not?
both are really cool and viable the one just happen to give a 10% dps buff and spirits so…
I encountered this when the rework was released i dont see that as much now if ever but i guess for you to say it it still happens.
You don’t see it as often because lot of players just plain stopped doing swamp.
His comment was entirely subjective
Yes, that’s the point. Whether swamp is one of the best fractals is subjective. There are people (me, for example) that have a different opinion.
In short, it’s debatable.
you are way to negative… ppl just got decent at it
if the leaks are correct 1 episode is to little to justify us going to crystal desert and confronting the crystal dragon. Also eso and ff14 will release their own expacs so im not sure if gw2 can compete.
https://dviw3bl0enbyw.cloudfront.net/uploads/forum_attachment/file/237256/gw287.jpg
If you’re gonna post made up dps numbers in screenshots then get logs or vids to prove it.
More Alacrity wouldn’t of made enough difference to make it seem any less kitten and the player actually spent some time on Necro before, this run was aimed at him specifically trying Nec in all wings and resulted in Nec being useless literally everywhere.hold up
this run was aimed at him specifically trying Nec in all wings
So your saying a guy that is bringing a necro into a raid for the very first time isn’t doing stellar dps?
protip: Pretty much everyone does terrible dps the first time they take a class into a raid.
Are you saying that players skill is a significant contributor to performance in raids? Say it isn’t so!!!!11!
(It’s almost as if that might contribute to the realisation that people playing ele poorly do less DPS than people playing a “weaker” class well, brought to us by DPS meters actually telling people the difference between Qtfy members running their preferred class on a DPS golem … and random pug players in raids.)
Eh dps meters ruined the game right? Delusional toxicity is off the charts.
It’s still going because it is still a significant concern for many people – and rather than start a dozen new threads, they searched and found one on the topic to post in, as directed by the forum conduct code (or Anet merged their thread into this one).
I only pop in now when I don’t have time to play the games I’m actually playing and paying.
These forums are still a guilty pleasure, like looking up an ex on Facebook.
what games you playing now?
Bloomy is one of the best encounters in all fractals.
That’s debatable.
Is it really? He said it is one of the best, which is as far reaching a comment as you can get. What’s there to debate about that? He isn’t saying it is the definitive best.
Of course it’s debatable. Someone debated it
More seriously, some people hate the new version of Swamp; for them, there’s no chance it’s “the best” or even in the top 20 (inb4: yes, I’m aware that there are only 16 atm).
ppl that hate it hate it for a very particular reason and that the fact that its no loger that free loot fractal they were used to run.
I would say it’s largely in part to that, but I feel like it’s also because it’s an absolute pain in the ass to run in PUGs. It (in my opinion) is a complete nightmare to do it with people who constantly die or won’t CC Bloomy.
I encountered this when the rework was released i dont see that as much now if ever but i guess for you to say it it still happens.
That just sounds like mean people honestly. Whenever I run with a PUG I generally give people up to 5 minutes after they appear to DC in case its anything of this sort. And that’s even plenty of time to recover from an actual crash as long as your internet is still up.
Regardless, its definitely not your fault. You can’t make the loading screens take less time.
ehhhh you can but it will cost you ^^
I personally want to see a Halberd of some sort. I dont know if AN is experiementing with the idea or not but they are present with npcs in lake doric. Could be a hybrid with 2 handed axes to where both weapons fall under the same category, no way to know.
(I think a polearm, banner guardian would be really interesting but just my opinion)
oh kitten true banner guard would be really interesting never though of it, yes make it happen with a halberd.
It’s very helpful, when making a suggestion, if you explain why you want it: what would be fun about a new weapon? Why is it more interesting than, say, a new map, or new fractal?
ehhh when we see the new maps be farmed by bots only a week later, yes i can say i prefer a new weapon that creates a new playstyle and new roles (possibly) for the classess that have it.
i really hope they womt come in like 3 months or a year and sell it for 500 gems….
Have they been known to do that with past items like this?
I don’t pay attention to most updates nowadays.
well not with ingame items, but before hot was anounced that would include base game they did many sales on the base game and many ppl bought that. When the anounce was made there was an uproar in the forums and reddit and they refund everyone who made the purchase. I expect nothing less than them to give the sword for free to whoever bought keys for the sword.
(edited by zealex.9410)
ppl tent to forget how much burst can power classes dish out.
You can’t be serious
ehh some suggestion he makes are pretty good if you ask me ^^
and no the class doesnt need a reconsidering of its design its need changes to certain traitlines and value of traits and utility skills
well deus ex taimi sure know how to do stuff that favour the plot anet is going for without reall explanation xD
Oh this was new huh watched a part of part 1 like 10 mins ago ill watch the whole thing when i get back home. (Gratz to the music team btw and my god i love the music you made for the modremoth fight)
I played my theif and joined VG experienced group as a DPS.
My gears were not full Berserker. It was combination of some exotic berserkers+ other useless craps that do not boost up DPS. I had like 1500 toughness so there you go.
I have no clue about the PvE meta. I just used whatever build. I just followed commander’s order and did what seemed to be the right thing. I got the raid boss. Got the spirit run as well. It was very fun.
Thanks guys.
If this has to do with your previous post about thief being bad at raids i can see why you were treated like that. First off not having full asc is not such bad of a thing but still even if exotics you should have what stats give you the most for dd atm is zerker i believe so you should have that on at least 80% of your gear (if not all of it).
Also toughness is a very eh stat in raids because there are various bosses that agro to it and if you have more toughness than the tank that can lead to really tricky sitiuations. Now if your raid didnt have a problem with that ( had a full tank mesmer ) its ok but you got to say it before that thats your gear/ build.
Also respect the requirements of th group. On a diff note im glad you had fun with your raid

I have zero interest in legendary armor, so I can see both sides of that argument.
There is a deeper question related to Legendary Armor though – and that is, what comes after raiders start getting it.
If things go as planned, legendary armor will be coming around the time of the next living story update. I suspect, not long after that, you will start to see quite a few people in it.
And once that carrot has been eaten, what will happen to raids? Not only will it become the exclusive playground of the players conforming to build wars, but it will most likely lose the percentage of that subset that tires of killing everything every week once they get their reward.
That will leave Anet with a pretty serious quandary – either come up with something else ultra nice to offer as an exclusive reward or watch raid participation dwindle considerably. If they choose the prior, the more they offer those ultra nice rewards, the wider the gap between raiders and non-raiders in terms of prestige and recognition by the devs.
Surely even the strongest opponents of story modes can see the problem with this and the potential negative long term impact it could have.
The answer, imo, is to forego additional ultra nice rewards and open the experience to more people – use tiered difficulty to keep the game mode active and alive instead. Still reserve the current set of legendary weapons and future weapon skins, minis and titles for those doing the harder version, but use tiered difficulty to keep the number of people enjoying the content up.
Again, the alternative to that solution is not healthy for the game long term.
To reinforce, I have no issue whatsoever with the current one time legendary armor reward as a symbol of achievement for those completing the first raids at the hardest difficulty – but beyond that I firmly believe Anet will hurt the game without making some kind of compromises on the this issue.
ehhh if ppl biggest factor for doing raids was the armor then they wouldnt run it after they aquired the needed collection parts. Theres a plethora of items that you can aquire through raids that create interest to run them (exlusive skins, titles, ap, minis, an infusion etc ) and the more raids release the more this list will grow. And well the rewards for doing the raids are ok (they could use use some buffs but they are ok atm)
I know you do realize that there is a substantial voice for the easy-modes being an alternative for these rewards. For instance, Raiders have given their opinion a while ago about not being opposed to having Legendary Armor being made available in another area of the game (a different skin though) and that simply isn’t enough apparently.
It’s not enough, because, let’s be honest, what are the chances of Anet doing a second set of legendary armor anytime soon, considering how long it takes them to do the current one?
If there was an actual, real chance of getting a second set of legendary armor throughout non-raid means, lot of complains would go down. Unfortunately, that chance currently is somewhere around nil.
well nobody knows only the devs we can speculate but i dought that will get us anywhere but im sure the devs can see that alot of ppl want other legendary armors in other gamemodes.
fixing forum bug!!!
Doesnt change the fact that a lot of players like him are becoming disillusioned with the game because of this issue (some faster than others).
And, yes, you can be huge fan of the game and still hate the direction is going in. It is important for Anet to see posts like his – and understand the potential long term damage this direction is doing to the game.
Ok, that’s sad if ppl become disillusioned about one single game mode in the game they are not pleased with.
And what specific direction? Raids are not the main focus of GW2, ppl should stop making a drama out of it. Raids are one little part in the game – nothing more, nothing less.
Back a yeah or so ago gw2’s main focus was raids after that when the first updates for pvp came out “oh the games main focus now is pvp boo”, now with the new fractal and raid gw2’s main focus is pve and the rest are not touched (which is a lie). So yeah ppl see what helps their arguement.
- The HUD layout, while configurable (when not bugged like mine back then, the chat would not move into the corner^^) is needed becauese it is incredible cluttered. Just check any random screenshot. You have at least 150 buttons on-screen, the already mentioned list of enemies currently having aggro with you/r party etc. It’s full with BS. I would like to have a bar instead of health orb in GW2, but meh. Still better than FF14.
- Linkshells are just a bunch of chats indeed and are not as useful as it may sound. I have been in several at once and it became confusing who from LS wanted something and it’s distracting as heck.
No, FF14 is by far not as great as you claim it to be. If so, I would not be here. Since nobody want to read big posts nowadays anymore and I really mentioned it so much after being disappointed in FF14’s cashgrab mentality (full-price base game, full-price expansion, subscription, cash shop with stuff you should earn ingame, merchandise and in the end that money goes mostly into other Square Enix’ projects and NOT into FF14) what is better in GW2.
Our character design in GW2 is better and more diverse. In FF14, all models are humans with stretched bodies and little details changed like Horns or Cat tails. Having characters with botanical details (like big leaves as hair or branches for the males) is awesome. Cats are actually a threat in GW2 while in FF14 you have some generic loli cat girl in Japanese school uniform fighting a Primal. Geez.. Also, no kids, no elderly people. Everyone is a perfect cardboard cutout with no depth (and voice acting).
For example that I can dodge. Walking behind a wall and not behing hit a by a projectile was awesome, while in FF14 it’s like “Oh, you were in that circle, well, you are dead then”…..(waits)….(animation finally plays)….dead. FF14 is about memorizing, like the SIMON game. If I want to learn choreographies I would play some dance game.
Other details I like is that when I fire a projectile trough bushes, said bushes will move. Or other details like the floppy Asura ears while in FF14 everything’s stiff.
The classes are super cheesy. “Hey, I am a super duper black mage that manipulates the Aether to roast my enemies and I dress in all black because I am such a danger”. (changes job stone) “Oh, now I am a White Mage and hug trees and belive in the power of the Nature” or whatever. Yeeeahh, no.
We have an outstanding voice acting while in FF14, the game with the big funds, let your character just wave the arms around as if we play some drunk party game and you are literally nothing, you do fetch quests and when you do pseudo-epic stuff it’s all for some random guys like the Scions. You are literally just some contract worker instead of a hero. A black mage “Warrior of Light”, haha. No, thanks.
Also, the themes in FF14 are so dull. “Oh no, some kid is sad behind the house in Gridania? Hand her some flower or /dance”. Total Mickey Mouse BS.
In GW2 the first mission was like “The Inquest stole our stuff. Kill the Inquest, destroy their lab, get our hostages back”. Awesome.I could go on and on but that would exceed the 17 months I wasted in FF14…
ff14 has a better class balance tho and more complex raids and maybe even dungeons but then again kitten the later they have better balance :/
I am currently trying that with FF14, and while I have to say a lot of things Gw2 does spoil me for other MMOs, at the same time I cannot help but think just how much more developer attention is visible in FF14. Probably as a result of having a subscription and hence a lot more money and a more dependable income to work with.
And that’s FF14. A game already criticized for not getting enough attention from their developers.
So yeah, good things and bad things. I feel GW2 should learn more from other MMOs. Much as the unique elements like zone downleveling or freely shared combat participation are awesome, class design and skill/talent balance and design works better in other MMOs, and there’s no shame in copying systems proven to work.
Theres alot of polish and attention to features gw2 has which other mmos dont and even in raids features that other mmos have addons for and are not there by default.
But yes gw2 could learn a few things from other mmos but at the end of the day this is the business model anet choose and with what they have they will make what they can.
It’s gone for lore reason…..
Mainly the Zephryrites mostly being in Dry Top / Silverwaste.
Which means that unless they leave DT/SW baron to migrate back home and rebuild its very unlikely to ever return.
ehh if we talk about lore should the zephryrites be at tarrir by now? I mean even by foot they would have reached by now
Idk i killed the frog then after like 5 sec while on timer w8 to be teleported on the cart before world 2 my client close update and when i logged back in i didnt recieve the token is there any way to get it back?
Just a shower-thought I had, I’m sure it would fix alot of revs problems with its lacking ability to pick different utilities instead of the given ones by invoking:
Elementalist can switch between 4 elements but afaik switches mostly between 2 elements. In extreme situations the other 2 elements might come in handy.
So why not do the same for Revenant:
- Instead of 2 legends, we get 3 legends to play with at the same time
- No need to get free utility choices
- probably still switching between 2 legends (glint and shiro for example while jalis could be used against too much pressure)
- this would also solve the energy/cooldown dilemma
Yes Elementalist cant switch weapons. But if you calculate the skillchoices elementalist has, with the one Revenant has, its quite similar after this possible fix:
Elementalist:
4×5 Weapon skills
1×5 Utilities (choose-able!)Revenant:
2×5 Weapon skills
3×5 Utilites (not changeable individually, only through legend-change)In my head, the difference between the two utility-bars is balanced since Elementalist can use every Utility with every element, so theyre able to individualice them. Revenant on the other hand can only individualice all 5 together and maybe has a few he wont ever need. Therefor Revenant can use more utilities just like Ele on weapon (If the energy-usage stay the same, theres no spam possibleby swapping legends, wouldnt be different to its actual situation).
The cooldowns:
We have 9 seconds CD on legends right now. If we have 3 legends (Glint, Jalis, Shiro), and youre on Glint for example and want to switch to Jalis:
Glint is on 9 sec CD and Shiro is on 9 sec CD, youre on Jalis. So the inactive legend gets a cooldown aswell (unlike switching elements on Elementalist). What do you guys think?
the adition of 1 more legend to the rota would be interesting but first you would have to take the energy cost from weapons to balance out the cost vs abilities that have it and buff other legends so they are actually worth swaping to like shiro :/
i like these changes you present i haven’t dwelled deep in the theoy crafting so if i see something that i find wrong or not ill say it so far great suggestion.
Funny enought to say ele is a dps loss on small hitboxes so kick ele and ur dps will increase.
Still better than Nec
)
Proof?
The Necro guy above which is supposedly a “good” Nec can’t even hit 32k on golem so I’ll use his vid:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YJmXhuC-tjg
instead of actual benchmark which is:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_DIHbWW1m5s
while ele is:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ab5CdXkALoo
Now remove perfect chill fields from Nec cause it won’t work in actual raids 50% of time and you get less than Ele, it’ll be between 28k and 30.
Also Ele’s add about 800-1.5k (based on amount of Ele’s) group dps thru Air Ol Buff while Nec brings nothing.
Epi or Ice Bow won’t change kitten. What happens tho if ou don’t possition wildfire correctly or lightning orb? Does the dmg remain the same?
There’s no Wildfire to position on small hitboxes and Lightning Orb needs only 300+ range. Not sure how much of a difference not doing Lightning Orb properly would make.
im not sure the op refers only to raids and with a fire field the dps the build does it around 28-29k with icebow that might go to ik 30k?
Just came back after 3 years. I quit in Feb 2014 and have decided to take GW2 back up but before I delve into the expansion and what not I wanted to wet my feet and catch up on what is in the base game.
Everything was fine until I entered Fractals for level 32. Everything was so different to the point I barely recognized the Swamp Fractal Boss encounter. It use to be either Mossman or the tree but now its always the tree and he is invulnerable half the time? Not to mention it looks like I shouldn’t even bother without HoT skills. Was it necessary to kitten those without HoT in base game content?
p.s. why is gimmp censored?
the encounter was reworked and no you can do it with out hot.
It was balance. Year round
last patch was pretty legit depending on the game mode

Thank you for linking my thread, I’m glad that was considered a legitimate option by some one at least.
I’ve read this whole thread and I’ve got to say Blaze championed the positions of my faction quite strongly.
Unfortunately I’ve moved on for the foreseeable future. I can not see my self financially supporting a company that has no place for my Great Sword Reaper in the only End Game that matters now that it’s the only place you can hope to work toward Legendary Armor. ESO is a breath of fresh air, the pace is a bit slower and it’s refreshing to switch to a game controller for a change after almost 20 years of PC MMOs. Well good luck, I’m sure my $50 a month plus I used to spend on this game in gems won’t be missed.
If a player is leaving a game because his special snowflake build isn’t viable in one particular niche of game mode while it is in the overall majority of the game content, it really doesn’t matter because it shows that there is no addiction to the game at all. A company can easily compensate such hoppers and is right if it won’t commit to that player.
Just move on and have fun with your new adventure.
Except we aren’t talking about hoppers. Were seeing die hard fans, like Dirtbeard, Vayne, etc, questioning the direction of the game – and even discussing leaving. In some cases, were talking about people (like myself) who have put $1000+ into supporting the game – and played so many hours Im half ashamed to post my /age in game anymore. And while Im not ready to throw in the towel on GW2 yet, I am obviously displeased with what they are doing to the game I loved.
Were talking about a fundamental shift in how the game feels and plays that, imo, can be attributed directly to raids. You can disagree with that all you want – as long as that perception exists (and it very much does), it is a real issue.
The thing to keep in mind – the die hard fans are the ones that keep the game alive through lulls in content drops. They are the ones that lead Dragonstand or Drytop maps a few years after it came out – keeping the game feeling alive. They are the ones that help drive new content and financially back the game even when no one else does. This isn’t a group Anet wants to brush aside that simply.
He is not a “die hard fan” with that attitude. Nuff said.
What direction do you speak of?
Honestly I’d rather major prunes to the other classes’ damage ouputs.
In particular, Thief having 10+10+7% modifiers in Daredevil is ridiculous, for what is ostensibly a defense-oriented spec. It’s going to cause serious issues for second ES.
You can only have one ES though. So it will seldom cause a problem. They’d only see a dps decrease next Elite if they pick anything other than DD unless the other ES is overtuned and gives +20% somewhere else.
You missed his point. Either the next thief elite spec will be even more overpowered than DD is, or DD will be nerfed into the ground to make it more appealing, or no one will run it. That’s the core problem with having elite specs be better than core specs. They are so ridiculously good that to pick something over them will either require massive nerfs to the elite spec (which are warranted), or the other option will have to be even more overpowered.
Both of those are problems.
or you know th next elite spec will be strong in a diff way maybe condi tank healer buffer or w/e
Still run into problems with needing it to be OP as hell or nerf the existing elite specs into the ground first. If you just look at DD then sure, a condi healer/buffer would be a different playstyle. But how would it compete with chrono or druid? Druid can heal the entire party, while offering at least a 10% damage boost (I’m ignoring spirits), so if the next thief spec was healing oriented, it would have to bring something that could surpass this buff to parties, which means it would be OP as hell to even be considered. If it was a buffer class, then it would have to compete with chrono, which can provide near permanent alacrity and quickness to the entire raid group by themselves (permanent quickness and alacrity with 2 chronos) on top of tanking the boss. So, a buffer elite spec for the thief would have to compete with extremely high quickness and alacrity uptime to be seriously considered as a buffing class.
This is the fundamental problem with elite specs being so much better than core specs. It almost necessitates all future ones being even more powerful or they won’t be used.
the issue with druid isnt that its a strong spec its that it has an unhealthy gm trait for both you can introduce other elite specs that fill other niches guard that gives quickness with sympols and give gotl to other healing specs or nerf it while you give other competitive options to the classes (a dps mesmer which is desperately needed and a dps ranger )
I know, chrono is the same way for mesmer. Elites should never have been used as a bandaid “fix” for class design problems, but they were. That does not however mean that they need to be so much better than core traitlines.
the thing with chrono is that the elite spec played on its strenghts being a better support which was mesmer’s job before the expac so ofc it would be a great addition but they can introduce elite specs that buff other aspects of a class its dmg is healing etc.
Honestly I’d rather major prunes to the other classes’ damage ouputs.

Just move on and have fun with your new adventure.
i dought power reaper is good in anyother part of the game
It is the same as they did last year too.
Unfortunately, silly forum rage over aviator’s kit and bobbleheads killed Anet’s sense of humor.
nah anets sense of humor is top noch its just outside of the game where it will not trigger anyone
i really hope they womt come in like 3 months or a year and sell it for 500 gems….
You don’t have to even change the damage numbers, or a single one of the mechanics, to make a story mode. The only numbers you have to change are max HP and maybe toughness. Every enemy and boss can still hit exactly as hard as they do, just make it less of a DPS check to complete so that you don’t have to grind for best gear and practice to optimize DPS to complete the story mode, and it can serve as training for mechanics if people might want to get in to the raids later. No reason to nerf everything, just make the amount of DPS you have to hit as a group more in line with an average five man dungeon group.
you can complete raids in exotics i think ppl have done it with yellows and greens too…
Of course people can and have done exactly that, but those people were – most probably – people who had already done the fight in ascended and mastered every aspect of the fight. It’s the same concept that applies to groups that have done it with 8 people or killed it in half the time. Those are the exceptions – not the rule.
More importantly, trying to compare those situations to average players – and especially to players looking to just enjoy the content without the build and composition micromanagement – is disingenuous at best.
The issue isnt about gear. It isnt even really about hard versus easy. It is about providing a realistically fun experience for a wider range of PVE players – so they can enjoy the story (even if it is a “side story” or minimal) and the experience of the raid. That is very much lacking from the current raid model – and needs to be remedied.
My point was that the bossea aren’t strict enough to the point you to have a full asc set. Most ppl will ask you for asc weapons and maybe trinkets armor isnt a must but it is welcome
Personally if they devoted more resources to balance I wouldn’t care what content they decide to focus on
i mean last balance patch made almost all dpsclasses viable in pve give them but yea more focus on balance wouldn’t hurt
