I seem to remember SWG had something like that for their time trial vehicle routes.

Are you (and apparently others) unhappy with the way it’s run over there, or with game itself? I can’t understand why the game even needed to be changed. Surely there’s that many people that a stack of them would like the appeal of it in the way many of us do in the western markets.

Is essentially the same as Chinese and western players appreciate and good design.Good design is can be across borders.

I put it this way, apple mobile phone in China can succeed, because it is good enough, good to people from all ethnic cultures to be able to appreciate it.Hero alliance, world of warcraft, and some TV drama.

I’m probably wrong about this but KongZhong looks as if they have a common “debit” account that players use for all their games. They have a variety of payment methods to charge this account.

During the GW2 anniversary in China there are a number of events with prizes keyed on how much you recharge your account during this celebration.

1st event is recharge 30 yuan or less, you get a full makeover kit, 31-100 yuan the kit and 2 keys and 101 to 500 yuan the kit and 12 keys.

2nd event grants you a discount on gems. Recharge 10-499 yuan gives you 20% off, 500 yuan or more gives you 30% off.

The 3rd event, the one linked to is the top 10 players who recharge their account the most during the celebration get parts of a special armor skin, which I don’t recognize (it has glowing white bits), more pieces the higher ranked you are.

So if you want this skin, you are competing with other players to pour as much money into your KongZhong player account. So it’s a fight among “whales”. It’s not even who buys the most gems for use in GW2. GW2 could be a secondary game with World of Tanks being their preferred game and they could win this armor.

This is all KongZhong’s doing. ANet might get a cut from gem and box sales but this is neither, at least until they spend it on gems.

At least that’s what I think it’s about.

At first I thought it must have been about gold sellers getting really professional but then I twigged that “agent” must mean Kong Zhong and he’s complaining that they’re charging real money for a just about anything and everything (or near enough). He’s followed it up with what looks like a moan about how the game has no guts and if it did then the agent wouldn’t have to charge real money for anything/much because there would be more people playing.

You’re fairly correct about average players though. Nothing can be done.

Good luck buddy. It’s in the hands of the RNG gods. There is no place where it will specifically drop; it has a chance to drop anywhere (particularly the Forge). World boss chests and the daily exotic chest may be your best bet.

The majority of people who voice their opinion wants the name changed. Those who do not speak up just don’t care and will not be affected by a change. I’m liking my Runes of Air. I remember they used to be real expensive and tried collecting a set for one of my characters long ago (only got 3). Decided to try them on a new build for my Ranger and the mofos are only a few silver! They used to be a couple gold a year or so ago.

I have them on a warrior and they work really well. Love the speed and the beat downs.

For wandering PvE solo on my condi characters Adventurer. Stuff just melts.

Its barely mix and match since its two pieces of Carapace and the rest Phalanx but I’m pretty happy with this. I don’ think its too dark to see it properly.

Dragonhunter makes no sense as a specialization name and Chronomancer does. The Mesmer elite specialization name does make sense. Why? Because you specialize as a Chronomancer to manipulate time. Do you specialize as a Dragonhunter to hunt dragons? No. You will hunt and fight all types foes, not just “big game.”

Also, there is nothing innately Guardian about being a Dragonhunter. Why couldn’t a Warrior or Ranger hunt dragons? There’s not really any reason Dragonhunter fits the Guardian anymore than it could fit those professions. Why wouldn’t an armored master of combat or master of the nature want to hunt big game? They are arguably even more suited to the name than Guardians.

Personally I would prefer Sentinel as it fits the theme of defending from a range with longbow and setting traps.

Edit: Also, lol at the OPs argument. “These names are used elsewhere at some place and some time: therefore they are bad.” What?

All sorts of ways but mostly open world since I’m in no rush. I’ve levelled one character completely by tomes but only because I could. That character doesn’t really feel “solid” to me, though it was sort of fun to do it at the time.

I hope this isn’t anything like “Chicken Lover”…

OP, it’s natural to find things are easier for you in these sorts of games after so long. Anet has put harder content up and, while some of it was taken away again, it has also become easier. It’s just the nature of things. Have a break and then check out the expansion when it comes (if you’re interested), that’s my advice.

I’m leveling a Norn warrior using mace and shield, sword and axe as secondary weapons. And I’m having a blast. I’m level 56 I think with him. Not played him for a week while the beta portal thing was on, and been playing some Guild Wars 1 for the ten year celebration.

I’ve used “unconventional” weapon sets for long on my warriors that I find all sort of odd couplings are a walk in the park. Do you know want I find hard? Greatsword! I’m levelling a Norn warrior with a greatsword right now and I feel like I’m starting the game fresh. A change is definitely as good as a holiday.

I have to agree with your post. I have found too that leveling alts with entirely different weapon sets makes for a whole new experience in game. Or even changing to a different, unconventional weapon set for an 80 also gives new life to a once humdrum character. Fun thing to do!

Why does everyone feel the need to confirm to Gaile the warning used to be there on greens? Once is surely enough (and yes, I will call you Shirley). The change was so long ago I’d forgotten as well.

Pretty much because I can. They all look different, and even play differently. I generally have them parked around the world so I want to run a guardian in Orr or ranger in Frostgorge then I’ll log onto those guys instead of porting whoever I’m currently running. Having said that, I also have a handful of characters that are world travellers who I will port all over the world if I’m currently playing them.
