Hahaha i know and thank you but it is a big deal. LOL. No but on a serious note i am kind of tired of playing League or Fifa all the kitten time and plus iv always always wanted to really get into an MMO to experience all the fuss. So therefore I wont give up this easily ,just wanted you guys to point me in the right direction as to what the strong points of the game were to keep an eye out for them.
It’s a tough one since fun is subjective. Just try all the major game play options and see how you go. Personally, I have the most fun just running around the maps and doing “stuff”. Plenty of people find that boring though

I’ve also heard alot of stuff, that ranged ranger is bad. That people play them only melee. And thats the point why im kinda feared of. The next thing is wont i be bored? I mean… srsly i press only 3 buttons on ranger, dont I? Yet, elementalist has so low range that it makes him almost melee…. kitten this game ^^
The only bad rangers are run by poor or inconsiderate players. Give it a try and find out for yourself. That way you’ll also know if its boring play for you.

I was doing a heart quest at the portal to Rhand at Diessa. The heart was dead most of the time and you need to wait for event to spawn AND get lucky to kill enough mobs fast enough before other players. The quest has no alternative.
This is the one I was thinking of as well. They just need to put in one thing that players can do between Flame Legion appearances and it would be a lot better.
There are flame legion on the lower level that you can still attack.
I last tried to complete this last night and there were no flame legion anywhere within the heart zone.

I can’t say its constant since I’ve only had it once happen to me and that was today, but I’ve been getting some lag and I very rarely ever get lag. I was wondering if there were some pre-expansions bits and pieces getting lined up.

Mounts, capes, and the trinity get talked about every couple of days so we might as well keep this open! Just because we’ve talked about it before doesn’t mean its not worth discussing now. Even if the answer is No.

If they did I wouldn’t move there and I doubt any of my guildies would either. It’s way too late for some us. Plus they’d need three servers to accommodate WvW. It might make for smaller or less zergs but would divide the customer base a little too much.

The original page on wiki had “Information about” text for items which were just information, unlocks hadn’t it and then I put those with “Information about” in the “Information” column. However, this item specifically hadn’t such text then I assumed it would be an unlock.

Ok well, wiki is maintained by players then even though it’s considered as official it can contain errors. As Ashendale has said, the wiki really says it unlocks at that level:

However, would be possible to someone confirm that please? I had overhauled that page and I broke it up in columns, maybe that info was put in the wrong column (Unlocks instead Information). In fact, a lot of that page still needs some confirmation.

I double checked. If you go here http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Level_rewards and drop the 41-50 list, you’ll notice that fine salvage kits unlocks at 43. It is not telling me about it. It is allowing me to use.
While anyone is there, please read the unlocking by level. We had that stuff from level 1.
Then its incorrect. I just purchased and used a fine salvage kit with a level 9 character. The highest level that any character on that account has reached is 30. Looks like part of the problem here is that what is stated officially (however official the wiki is) isn’t right.

I can’t do many jumping puzzles and they count toward world completion still I think. Wish they were separate from world completion.
They are separate but at least one has a vista or skill point at the end so you have to do it to get to the world completion bits you need. Unless there’s a Mesmer offering a lift.

I don’t really like flashy looks so I’d go for a nice simple armour piece easily. I might work a bit of spike or oversize into a look but overall I like simple. Doesn’t even have to be elegant (though that would help).

Obviously change the colours to suit but this is a 4 pieces of Norn cultural with gladiator gloves and dark plate shoulders. For a Norn specific look maybe choose a couple of cultural pieces and work around them.

Hey everyone! I’ve been trying to make a good look for my female norn guardian. What armors do you folks like to use? Mixed sets are welcome. I usually go for a Paladin-like, or dark-knight kinda look. Thanks for the tips!

Now, given a choice between the NPE and the original leveling, I’d choose the original one, yes. But it’s really not a big deal. All you really have to do is level and enjoy the actual game, instead of raging, and it passes by very quickly and without any real detraction from the quality of the experience.

For anyone wondering WTF is he on! to my comments then go back to the first pages of this thread to see what I think of certain aspects of the NPE. I even took two months off at the end of last year because of what I don’t like. But the basic leveling is no different.
Why vets would feel like they’re having their hands held is beyond me. Ignore the kitten hand and go on to do what you’d normally do and where you’d do it.

The initial part of leveling takes far less time to get through then previously. You don’t really know what you’re talking about. Find your own fun though since that’s really what its all about.

Get out of the first few areas of Queensdale and you’ll run into the nodes. I’ve been playing a second account as well and it looks like they’ve been taken out of the level 1 -5 areas. If you have tools then keep going further and you’ll find something to dig/hack/slash.

OK good because I don’t feel like map completing some of the maps since it got boring looking at the same place for so long
100% is only needed for Legendaries as far as I know. I haven’t maxed on any of my guys and there’s nothing I can’t craft.
Wait you haven’t reached level 80 or haven’t reached level 400 in crafting? If the latter, how? because I thought the point of getting to level 400 was to be able to craft end game gear

They do but just don’t start holding your breath for any time soon. Could be anytime from this week to Christmas. And as Guhracie said, the tools tend to be grouped. Which may not really be such a bad thing.

So, why would anyone ever bother buying Pavilion or Airship passes if you can access basically the same for free over there, with a nice teleport from everywhere and back there directly.

I believe anyone can buy the stone from the vendor in LA despite having linked accounts. Its just not automatically put in character inventory like linked accounts and they have no access to anything from the vendor.
Sort of. I’m not going out of my way to get all the info as its released but I don’t stop reading anything that contains stuff I didn’t know before. The expansion looks to be pretty interesting.

I have nearly 12k AP and I’ve done the Feb 2013 dungeon monthly, ran the Molten Facility once, and ran AC story once last year. I haven’t really given them a go but I don’t really like the feel of the dungeons in this game so I haven’t gone out of my way to do them. They feel more like a chore than an adventure.
Plus, I dislike grouping with strangers. Trust and drama issues, not interested. Just my little thing, though.

I am prepping my house to sell so I can get married. I was busy stripping paint, removing wallpaper, patching walls, cleaning to prep for painting and changing air registers. Excuse me if Guild Wars was not on my mind.

Here’s mine. Heavy Aether, bits of Norn cultural, and the Mecha anchor. Some of the rifles work well as well. Depends on what you’re really after though.

Thanks. I’m not sure how to do it again on the same character and know what I have and have not redone, but I have started WvW mapping with my lv66 elementalist. Her gear isn’t suitable for the area and she still needs more traits unlocked (haven’t worked on her much, so she’s rather gimp), but, except for the skill points, I’ve gotten everything in the green borderlands.
