I’ve just tried composing two replies but didn’t go through with either. I’m feeling too mellow.

You may be intetested to know that i took a guildie to Teq when he was level 67 and he got one. I found it both hilarious and really annoying at the same time. He didn’t even know what it was, was talking of trying to sell it!

I think I’ve been lucky. I’m just out of Sydney and even when I was using wifi I didn’t have many issues, except during evening train commuter peak time. PvE-wise anyway. I haven’t tried PvP from being burnt in other games by the distance tyrant so I don’t know how that would pan out.

Snowden is one of my favourite maps but I just won’t go there when that’s the venue for Daily events. It’s a feeble experience.

I’d just be hoping HoT wouldn’t come out as a “patch” let alone what’s happening to skill points and levelling if this is what was going through my mind.

Aren’t there a couple personal story missions where a near endless stream of whites run by? Could the balm be used in there to farm? That just seems like you would get a bigger bang for your buck, and it could be reset endlessly.

Yeah. I’ve been meaning to try one of them just to see but I’ve never got to around to it.

These look great. The first BL weapon skins I’ve been excited about for ages.

My second character came the day after my first. I think my third was also rolled that day. The fourth would have been a few days later.

There’s lots of stuff to do…but there’s nothing you have to do.

That’s quite true and many people interpret that as a lack of content. When in fact Anet basically lets you pick your own goals and reach them at your own pace.

That’s my line of thinking precisely.

A lot of people seem to be needlessly throwing around the “lack of content” phrase without truly understanding what it means.

To be fair, if you’ve been playing since launch, at this point, there’s not much left to do…which is normal for lots of games at various points in their development, particularly shortly before an expansion launches.

But when you first hit 80…plenty left to do…just not end game content as defined by other games.

Sure, I guess.

However, as someone who still plays Guild Wars 1, which hasn’t had any new content for quite some time, and has played that game since open beta, I’m finding it difficult to identify with the OP. I always find something to do. Maybe I’m an anomaly. ~shrug~

Nah, you aren’t an anomaly. I don’t do dungeons, fractals, WvW, or PvP and I still get a few hours play time in whenever I log in.

Making them account-wide would increase the price quite a bit, in order to compensate for the loss of income due to less being sold.

And yes, people can claim all they want that more will be sold and thus that would compensate. But do we actually know that?
And what happens when people have bought it and few new players are coming into the game? That would mean that the income from them would basically become zero, due to people creating new characters would no longer need to buy another unlock.

Plus, if they made them account bound then I’d make out like a bandit, many other players as well. I’ve already got a character with all slots unlocked so all my other 54 characters would fill up for free.

I agree. If he didn’t want to accidentally send a message to the players through his clothing he simply would have went shirtless. This was totally on purpose.

Pretty much have to agree with this sentiment. As much as I’d love to play as a Kodan just the thought of seeing one waiting at a world boss while dancing in a ballgown is just really off putting.

Where did you go for it to look desolate? Teq just finished so who knows how many Sparkfly maps were tied up with people waiting for up to an hour. I think today’s map event daily was Mt Maelstrom so head there if you want to see more people than you need.

And Splatoon.

But mostly GW2. Plenty in game to chip away at, whether it is achievements or trying new professions or finishing a legendary. I’m actually tempted to try some spvp since people seem to think its less hostile than the dungeon community to less skilled players

I’ve still never opened a second birthday present to use one of these. Must have nearly twenty gifts sitting in backpacks by now.

Don’t know without going through card statements but with 55 character slots, multiple infinite tools, multiple armour skins (pre wardrobe), inventory slots and other sundry fun things the total is probably more than I’d like to know about. That was over the first year and a half of playing though when our dollar was close enough to the American one. Hardly any gems purchased over the last ten or so months.

I got two Portals. I demand a Legendary because I only needed one and the other was a wasted drop! Clearly a Legendary should be the compensation because…purple!!

Nice rant but why are you getting DC’ed in the first place? Yes, it would be nice if Anet could implement something to allow someone that loses connection to come back to where they were within a decent time limit but wouldn’t it be nice to not even DC?

In game armours would be a good way to keep people playing through the pre-expansion maps. Which I’d imagine most of us would do anyway. More regional armours, cultural armours, Boss armours; there’s all sorts of things they could do over time. Plus new PvP reward tracks.

The basic idea seems sensible.

Condi revamp was not part of the beta the trait updates and new trait system are also not included in the current beta phase unfortunately. What we’re seeing now is more akin to stress & event testing than actual expansion game-play testing.

just remember that the Mallyx the Unyielding skills work by taking up conditions and then making you more powerful by having those conditions, with so many revenants around the damage of the class was going to be a bit lower

Yeah, I felt my guy was quite a lot more effective when he was on his own. Unfortunately. With Anet’s planned condi revamp we should see a change there. Unless the revamp was part of the beta.

Maybe starting using your ranger as entirely melee. It’s totally different.

As long as the farmers don’t have a go at people doing the event (which they don’t seem to) then this niche gameplay to gather this niche ingredient can do whatever it likes.
