Well…its a little better
I probably wasn’t going to say anything else about your complaint since I’ve been leaving them alone. Many people are complaining about all sorts of things with the expansion. The points you make also bother me but not to the extent I would ever comment on them. I always wonder why people would want to play a game in that fashion. Having said that, I don’t like letting what other people do bother me if it doesn’t harm me so I ignore it. Which you’ve said you can’t, which is where we diverge.
Everyone is different and like different things.
Would you like some hard cheeze with your sad whine?
Instead of playing countless hours of the game you should have been practicing the fine art of using paragraphs. If you fix it up I’ll read your complaint.
Would you like some hard cheeze with your sad whine?
I’m sorry but its late and I’m really curious. Long time prophecies player so I should probably know this already but what is LS 1-3?
LS equals Living Story, and the numbers signify which season of LS.
Would you like some hard cheeze with your sad whine?
Any further expansions will probably include a few more raids so why would they nerf them? If raids are now their go to “hard stuff” then it won’t matter where they are the raids will still be raids.
And the dungeons have always sucked in this game. That’s my superimportantopinionaboveeveroneelsesopinion. Even if they awarded 10g a run I still wouldn’t have done them.

What part of Dr Hashbrown is considered inappropriate?
Google the Urban Dictionary for hashbrown.
Well, that’s a shame. And now that I’ve seen it it can’t be unseen Breakfast at Maccas won’t be the same.
Would you like some hard cheeze with your sad whine?
There’s “hash” for a start. Drug reference even if it is becoming legal in places. They’ve always frowned on that.

I’ve not seem a map just close but got fed up with the warning message offering the bribe to get off.
For example, I walked into Frostgorge, was there about a minute and the ‘map closing’ warning appeared. I didn’t bother checking but I assumed Claw had just ended and the zerg had departed so I clicked ‘Yes’ and got a new map .. less than 5 mins later this new map warning appeared .. got to the third mapy and TEN MINS into that IT started to closee.
kitten Anet, your megaserver is broken. I ’m getting this warning pretty much every hour at least that I play, simply questing and exploring in zones, nothing to do with chasing world events.
I tend to not leave a HoT map anyway but for a core map I never do. I like a map that feels pre-megaserver. Nothing wrong with people around but for an adventurous time (for me) it’s better with a small population.
As for the issue, I’ve never seen it but people are reporting all sorts of odd things. I had one of the new maps go to low status but the eight or so of us stuck to the event we were doing and by the end of it the status had changed again and there was a stack of map chat organising things. That was nice but I can’t say I’d like to experience the other way.
Would you like some hard cheeze with your sad whine?
Like ESO, this game uses a mega-server system. In PvE zones, the game spawns a new instance of a zone only if the existing zone is getting full. I rarely go into a zone and see no one. Servers only matter as far as World v. World is concerned. There, you may find that the WvW maps in the lower echelons in each area (EU or NA) can be empty. Look at http://mos.millenium.org/na/matchups/ for an idea of which servers are in the high or lower tier match-ups if WvW will matter to you. Be aware that your friend will not be able to WvW until he gets a character to level 60 (I think).
As to player attitudes… like most games, you’ll find friendly, helpful folks and players you won’t care for. My experience in NA has been that there are more of the cool folks and less of the jerks than I’ve seen in some games.
Getting started: once you’ve both picked a race and profession, you’ll go through a short intro instance and then end up in that race’s starting area. If you want to join your friend but don’t want to play as the same race, you will need to go where he is. To do so, find your racial city (the entrance is close to where you’ll appear after the intro instance). Find the portal to Lion’s Arch. On the map, it will be a pinkish icon. In the human city there are two portals, you’ll want the one on the upper level closer to the middle of the city, not the other one (which leads to a L30 area). Once in Lion’s Arch, there will be more portals. find the one guarded by members of the race your friend chose. You’ll end up in his race’s city, and will need to go to the portal to that starter area. If you find yourself in a different mega-server instance of the same zone, you can right click on his portrait in the party UI and choose the option, “Join in <name of zone>.”
Then, run around and do stuff. There will be area-based “hearts” that can be completed by doing various tasks (think of them as quests with — usually – more than one option to complete them). There are also dynamic events. Interact with NPC’s, explore, kill stuff. Virtually everything you can do in GW2 grants experience. Oh, and have fun.
Well done!
OP, this is a great example of how helpful your fellow players can be in this game.
Would you like some hard cheeze with your sad whine?
Are you Euro or NA? There’s loads of players on all the maps I’ve been on. If you ever do find yourself on a lightly populated map then it may actually be beneficial since you won’t have some guy come barging through your event while you’re feeling your way through it. While you’re starting out anyway.
As for attitudes – there’s all sorts. People can be pretty helpful and chatty in this game but you’ll find the “other” sort every so often.
Would you like some hard cheeze with your sad whine?
Definitely. The only proviso would be exchange rate.
Would you like some hard cheeze with your sad whine?
I had to really give my space bar a hard, sharp slap to get my glider to open. That was only after the game registered that I was in an updraft, of course. As for the reset bug, depending on what stage I was at I either ignored it or left the instance to give myself an hour to get over it and try again.

Some Swtor when I need a Star Wars-y fix, and Dragon Age (any of them) when I’m not interested in seeing other people in my game. Mostly GW2 by far though.

Would you like some hard cheeze with your sad whine?
Actually, I’m even just assuming that. That’s not even confirmed as far as I know.

Its going to be purple.
Would you like some hard cheeze with your sad whine?
Well. I managed to finish it just then. I had to really slap down on my space bar to get the glider to work. lol I don’t really recommend that as a fix but since my keyboard is so old (and abused) it might have been that that held me up. The half bottle of wine I had might have helped a tad as well.
Besides that issue, I really liked that final mission, and the half bottle didn’t help with after.
Would you like some hard cheeze with your sad whine?
Point three kittens me to tears. I get to the last round of that action with few problems but that last one won’t work for me.

What Flesh Wound said, and yes you can’t turn into a dog anymore. Its a bit ruff but that’s how it is now, unfortunately.

Now you know. If you don’t think you’re going to find very many things from the chests useful then spend your money elsewhere.
Yeah I know, that’s what I am going to do. I was just curious if this was normal or if it was just my straw of bad luck, but I guess drop rates are terrible with these chests. And it just doesn’t make sense how they are marketing this to me personally. If I want people to keep buying my stuff, and for them to come back, I’ll make sure they at least get something cool or useful within a certain amount. And I think getting at least 1 cool item out of the 30 (10 chests) could have been possible, and could have encouraged people to keep buying more keys. But no, players like me, who get disappointed wont ever buy another key again.
Would you profit more from people getting something cool every now and then and people keep buying, rather then this where people just get discouraged because they barely ever get anything and don’t want to buy anymore?
Like am I missing something here, because the first options seems to be a lot more profitable.
It is pretty much normal. Its just a lucky dip, or a heavier gamble for people who are searching for scraps. I buy keys occasionally but I use the stuff inside the chests so I just find anything nicer than a booster is an interesting bonus. I don’t buy them all the time though, just sometimes.
edit: especially now the exchange rate is grossly unfavourable and I’m screwed buying anything from Anet.

The Fire Elemental is another one that goes down insanely fast. It’s such a pity, really. A Boss fight should not be over so quickly.
If I’m on a Boss train I’ll do those two, just for the loot. But I personally find them to be really anticlimactic, and not much fun at all.
Hopefully the Devs might consider at least adding some more HPs to them…
The fire elemental does take a while longer now i have noticed. Its still fast but for
me the main problem is the overlond pre-quest. So for me they can make the
fight longer but only if they shorten the “Waiting for Godot” pre.I really wish more pre-quests were like Svanir Shaman, were you start at Point A
and on your way to point B where the boss is, you do some short events, instead
of having pres that are so far away from the boss that mostly nobody does them./map is anyone doing the pre?
Is it just me or has the shaman changed lately? It used to be a bit of grinding and he would be dead. Now he usually has time to wander around first.
Noticed that also some days ago. Was still way more fun when i did him before
Mega-Server with 3-4 players and chased us over half of the frozen sea
Yep. Something has happened and now he’s interesting again. Its much more preferable, and I like seeing the dark blue dots on the mini map. Very occasionally you can get the old school style of fight if you enter a map late.
Would you like some hard cheeze with your sad whine?
Could you quote yourself so I don’t miss it again, please?
I don’t think it would help in this case.
It would as you didn’t write it and it’s pretty rude to tell me I skipped something you didn’t write.
He did write it. Read the entire post and you’ll see it.

Unlocking bag slots is one of the few things I can do anymore to “mature” my characters individually so I’d be happy to keep things as they are.
Would you like some hard cheeze with your sad whine?
You’ve already got it in the game folder. The older .exe file should still be there.
Or not, if you deleted it. Missed that bit, eyes should be asleep.
Would you like some hard cheeze with your sad whine?
That’s rough, sorry to hear it. Older games (one I know of at least) have had systems in place to hold your spot for a few minutes so I’ve always been a little surprised that GW2 hasn’t yet.
Would you like some hard cheeze with your sad whine?

Less seriously, I want to go to auric gasin…

I see where you’re coming from but just bare with me for a second and hear me out. For a moment, lets just forget about Logan, let’s focus more on Rytlock here. Rytlock is always so aggressive with Logan, kind of like how a young boy would passively mess with a girl that he has a crush on. Honestly I believe that Rytlock has these feelings for Logan more so than Logan has these feelings for Rytlock. I think that it would be touching if – near the end of the HoT story when you rescue Logan from the pod, instead of having it so that we don’t see or hear from Logan anymore we can have it that Logan joins the fight because Rytlock runs over to his unconscious body, very concerned for his friend’s well being, and breathes heavily on his face causing Logan to wake up.
You could introduce their relationship this way, instead of breaking the current story.
In the personal story, you actually get a solid hint as to why Rytlock acts like that towards Logan.
When the Pale Tree takes you into the dream, you see members of Destiny’s Edge talking to each other. Here’s what Rytlock says:
Rytlock Brimstone: Where were you? We needed you! Snaff…I couldn’t protect him. I can still hear him screaming.
THIS is why Rytlock is so angry at Logan. He (Rytlock) failed, and a friend died screaming in fear and pain. He’s having a hard time dealing with that, and so he takes it out on the person that SHOULD have been there to protect Snaff, Logan. It’s guilt and regret, not love, that makes Rytlock lash out at him.
Yes, Rytlock has seen others die on the field of battle, but those have been soldiers. People trained to combat, who go out there knowing they may die. Snaff wasn’t a soldier, he wasn’t ready. That’s why this death was different and hit Rytlock so hard that it made him lash out at someone.
I’ve made my own share of Rytlock/Logan jokes, but the relationship there is NOT romantic.
Game set and match.

I’ve done exploration on my revenant and I had everything in Pact Commander and Fractal Mastery done. Legendary crafting was on 4th mastery around 35%
You done all this math and failed to include a lot of stuff.
Why didn’t you just decide to test it out by doing a single map?Can someone help me here, what do you call something given as proof without it actually being tested and confirmed?
It’s called “a load of crap”. No offence to anyone here, of course. Just answering the question.

re the title change: I thought so!
If they have underwear then they have something to hide. They probably do have tackle but maybe they look like vinewraths and tulips.
Would you like some hard cheeze with your sad whine?
No, only charrs have kittens, also calles cubs.
Sylvari have only sprouts, saplings, and them fern hounds. For some reasons, there are no plant kittens.
I hope this answers your question.
They could always adopt a non plant kitten you know. They have kittens in game. I’ve seen some in Timberline Falls. There’s a Stalker(?) and her kittens there.
That’s true, but I don’t think OP was talking about adopted kittens. Correct me if I’m wrong
They have to start somewhere. Adoption is best before wholesale corruption of jaguars and stalkers. Just so they know that they really want them.
Would you like some hard cheeze with your sad whine?
Aww. That’s unfortunate. Maybe it will become a mini-pet some day.
Good luck.
Except they’d probably make it that dirty great monster in Auric that wants to roll around on top you as a mini pet that shoots out pink hearts.

Yes, I think night time should be darker. I’ll always agree when this topic comes up.

There is a pretty commonly used technique in game design that GW2 has totally missed. Design the game such that the most rewarding way to play is also the most fun.
What does every single person who plays this game find fun? I don’t think we’ll ever know but it would be interesting to see what’s on top.
Would you like some hard cheeze with your sad whine?
Yes.
Would you like some hard cheeze with your sad whine?
The OP might want to have a little look see at what the people who are getting the game for free are actually getting. More than one person on the forums have referred to it as a glorified demo.
Plus, they’re called rangers (rangers that is, not the freebie crew).
Would you like some hard cheeze with your sad whine?
Look on Ashford, Caledon and Snowden for new things. Possibly one or two other maps but that should get you going.
Would you like some hard cheeze with your sad whine?
I know this is a great dusty necro but I’ll join in. I find it easy to get immersed in this world. It is what it is, and people will fall for it at differing levels. Like everything that humanity comes in contact with. The sword&sorcery&laser cannon theme was a tad off-putting at first (from memory) but now its just Tyria.
Would you like some hard cheeze with your sad whine?
With the redo they did this year to put it back together after ballsing it up, and making the final stage solo-able then yes its not too bad. I’ve only done it the once (a ranger) but that was pretty good. Well I thought it was pretty good. Never did it before the revamp. Looks like there may have been another tweak.
Would you like some hard cheeze with your sad whine?
Yeah. I’ve had a bit of time off so I’m going to have to investigate this. Have a load of characters to go through the final stage.
Would you like some hard cheeze with your sad whine?

Would you like some hard cheeze with your sad whine?

Or this!
Would you like some hard cheeze with your sad whine?
I’m pretty sure I remember reading that more specs will be released in the future. I keep trying to find where I read that so I can’t be positive. Getting older; memory crappier.
I’ll roll with whatever they release. I have enough characters that I should be able find one that suits whatever gets dished out.
