With megaservers it doesn’t really matter though the theory is that you’re more likely to be on a map with your fellow server mates first so it may be worth looking into TC.

Most of the RP I’ve seen has been fairly cringe-worthy romantic stuff but you do get to see some broad ranged RP. Roleplay map crusades look fun. I spend a lot of time in the Grove and Black Citadel and there is a fair bit of RP going on there. I’ve rarely seen them get trolled (but it does happen).

Earlier this year I took a mate who had his first character at 75ish down to do Teq for his first go at it and he scored a Hoard. He had no idea what it was and wanted to sell it. I laughed for ages.

Yeah, been a while since one of these.

Fave: Wayfarer Foothills (even post NPE). Norn are my favourite player species and I think the starter map does a decent job to help a player to start learning about them, and get into the struggle against the Sons.

Least: either Metrica or Brisban. Not sure why but I just don’t feel any sort of vibe through those maps. Even my Asura start in Wayfarer.

PvP skins were the only truly interesting thing that ever came with the achievement chests. I don’t even pay attention to them anymore. I’ve already got all the weapon and armour skins from AP that I actually want so even the rest of them aren’t going to make me barge through AP. One month away from three years and I still only have a bit less than 14k.

GW1 has grown on me but since you can’t jump or slide down a hillside then it will never be better than GW2. And it feels a crapton more grindy.

You don’t need HoT , it’s like a completely different game on my opinion.

My advice is……get GW2 the old Tyria for me is still superior than HoT and believe me …..you will enjoy the game even without HoT.

When you will get maybe bored of the old Tyria …..maybe think about HoT.

There’s people everywhere, don’t worry. Dungeons may be an issue but the open world is still busy.

I just moved away from fibre nbn I’m seriously going to miss it until I move back into that area. Bit over a year away though. Last night was my first play back on GW2 with “normal” internet and I’d forgotten what it was like.

Unfortunately, Anet don’t do options. Its all or nothing. This is definitely one of those things where it would be nice to have options.

I can’t give as detailed reply as you’d like due to my ipad battery close to zeroing on me so I’m just going to say I Like HoT…

…except for what happened to guilds. I can’t see that was necessary.

I think I’ve only had the chance to help poor old Ulgadis once since Megaservers were introduced. It’s one of my favourite chains. I’m a little amazed they would use this event to further anything let alone a Legendary considering how often it’s just not up. Especially on a Snowden events day.

Anet’s opinion is to not do it.

I don’t remember if that’s a ban worthy offence but there seems to be a good chance you’ll be “punished” in other ways. I don’t recommend it.

The commander running the head I ended up doing (wasn’t going to do the event at all; mapping at level) was very clear with instructions and I’m going to assume the others were as well because the whole thing went off very smoothly. It seemed, anyway.

I know you said they run when you can’t get on OP but for anyone else that guild is well worth looking out for. I have almost zero time for PvE commanders but these guys were good.

I say leave the current cultural armours as they are. However, using a cultural mastery for new skins would get my vote. I’m always for new things, not so much for them fiddling with old things.

5-8 complete new skins is a lot of work compared to opening up assets already built and in game.

What I’m asking for is a lot of payoff for very little coding time.

Let them work since that’s what they get paid for.

Its not really “lost” but it will only show up if your character you used it on get artificer as well. If you don’t want to do that then it is lost. There seems to be an issue at the moment with recipes and how its telling you who can use it.

Maybe send in a support ticket?

With weapon swapping you can go both ranged and melee to suit what’s needed so warrior, guardian or ranger are be my suggestions. Warriors can be made to be just plain tough and hard to put down; guardians have all the heal style skills to keep them going; rangers have weapons that allow either an auto evade or a skilled one plus healing spring is simply an awesome heal. That’s just for melee obviously since with ranged you’d just cycle through their various weapon skills as needed.

Also, after every summon is defeated, they should mark that as a ‘checkpoint,’ so when you die, you DON’T have to start alllllll over again.

Not wrong. The bugs are annoying, and I thought the checkpointing was a little too spread out but the way its done I think putting a checkpoint after the summons may lead to the whole thing being too stop start.

I doubt you can do raids and high level fractals in blues and greens.

edit: to back that up so I don’t look a prick- those are niche play, and one of them is very new. Anyone who has played this game for long knows about what you start needing for fractals, and raids seem to already have that “elitist” feel about them (not having a go, just saying) that it should be obvious.

Some people may need to do the PS again (including myself before anyone starts).. Zhaitan had a weakness and that was how easily his energy supply could be cut off. He was weakened enough that brute force could do the trick.

All the people that posted about it, I’m sure. You can find other threads about it, here, and in the Support Sub-forums. The servers were down; the Devs posted about it on Twitter; (I’m guessing because the forums were down for many, as well).

The only thing I want out of the bundle is the glider skin; outfits can go to hell. I’m happy enough to wait until the bundle is split up anyway, and if that doesn’t happen then I’m equally happy to not put any money towards it at all.

What are these weapons though? I need to look into that. And I still wouldn’t buy a bundle for a weapon skin anyway(see first sentence for reason).
