I’ve heard that the different old weapon sets are on different vendors in the Vaults now. You might need to check several of them to find the guy with Dragon’s Jade.

edit: Oh wait, zenleto may have found your problem. Back when Dragon’s Jade was first a thing, the skins that dropped were account bound. That was when they introduced the BL vendor for tickets. So then people got some skins for tickets, which were tradeable. I think the only way to convert a non-tradeable skin to a tradeable one is to stack it with another skin of the same type. Which of course means buying one. Or finding someone that has an unused tradeable skin and trusts you enough to loan it for you to stack then split and return theirs …

I didn’t see your edit. This is the first thing I thought but I couldn’t remember what the tooltip said for the early ones. All mine came from tickets (and I don’t want to sell them anyway) so looking at them really wasn’t much help.

OP, I don’t know what the blue bags are that you’re using but are any of them invisible? It’s a reach but I can’t think of anything else.

You have the skins. Right clicking doesn’t bring up any option to sell on the TP? If that’s what you’re after.

You need to have them in your inventory and go see one of the BL guys in LA. Most likely the skritt Asura.

Smaller proportioned instanced content. Let them be like dungeons, but maybe smaller/shorter and focus on higher skill/effort play. An example I guess could be Trials from FFXIV, those are essentially instanced fights where it’s just a boss involved in a heavily mechanical fight requiring group cooperation.

It doesn’t have to the main focus of the game. They certainly aren’t even in FFXIV, but they are an option for people looking to some relatively quick, effort necessary encounters.

I haven’t gone back to look at the info but I think the Adventures (I’m sure that’s what they’re called) that will be introduced in HoT will be similar to this.

Edit: no, I went back and had a look. Now I don’t think it’ll be like that at all. But they may come close.

I dont know whats going on, but there is something fishy, Before the patch i was soloing AC dungeons relatively with ease. Today i must double the effort to achieve the same thing .. with my build i can kill a young karka in southsun with a single use of purging flame .. the same build struggle in AC and the same skill is … maybe downscaled too much. Well the damage done is not proportional .. it’s weaker.

It doesn’t make sense that i can go in silverwaste or any other lvl 80 zone and melt everything on my path with only half of my skills then going to a lvl 30 dungeon and unleash everything i have to get the same effect.

This isn’t necessarily a bad thing. The community has been begging for more challenging content for some time now, and having access to older content with a challenging kick can be quite invigorating.

Do you feel better overcoming a difficult task that took all your skill, or do you feel better just because you are more powerful than your enemy by default and plow through them?

Oh come on .. yeah all those poor 80s in full ascended that seek challenge in
Queensdale. Maybe level 2 skelks should oneshot them .. or you die instantly
when entering the zone.

What does a highlevel do in lowlevel zones normally ? Either its completing
a map or harvesting .. nobody is there to seek a challenge .. this argument is
so far from reality.

Or spend 10 mins doing a world boss, don’t forget.

I’ve been thinking that when we eventually get to the point where the fight starts heading toward Bubbles then a redo of Orr could be done then BUT keep the old Orr as an option when zoning in. New Orr has settlers, new events, new aquatic foes, and remnant Risen and is the kick off for the new story; old Orr is for PS, temples, loot bags etc.

Did you try with the claim ticket in your character’s inventory or without? If its in then you should get more text from the BL weapons vendors. Same for Jade weapon tickets from the Dragonbash event boxes.

As for the topic. I’ve only done it once since the patch it was a real eye opener. I didn’t mind it too much (kept thinking it was a real dragon fight with kitten and disaster everywhere) but I’m sure giving it a week we’ll either see a slight nerf or everyone getting used to it again.

Apparently they increased the maximum number of character slots. It’s allowing me to buy more in the gemstore as well.

Cool! I stopped buying slots when got to 56 so I had room for current and future expansion slots. Now I don’t have to worry (not that I was…). I have so many more names I want to put faces to.

Its bound to the account and the serial key is for your records. For just in case anything untoward happens.

This expansion does actually set up a couple races to be more likely to become playable, in specific the Tengu which are now directly taking active roles in conflicts (at least that is what Anet has said anyway), meaning they are progressing from a passive NPC to a much much more active NPC.

It might just mean that soon we’ll be wearing them as backpacks.

Eh, just soloed the final chapter of personal story on one of my toons. Also the whole spec thing.

Still checking it out, but my first impression is that the game is much simpler now.

I just finished a Silverwastes run and this is pretty much what I thought. Which hopefully means that they’re preparing for the “more challenging content” in HoT.

I’m going to enjoy the hell out of my two bonus character slots, and the three I have targetted for rerolls. Yeah, I know…good for me!

I am excited by the changes, and many have said GW2 will feel like a new game entirely (which is a good thing).

But.

The feeling I get for my low level characters is one of a rug pulled out from under my feet.

I’m at the stage where I’m not playing my lowbies much at all (have 26 80s) so when I get back around to seriously running them around I may be scratching my head a little. I suspect that may not happen until we start heading toward another main dragon to fight, though, so I can wait. I imagine it will all be the new normal by then
