I’ve played against Grouch on a decap engi in team Q. I assume that decap engis are perfectly valid in Anet’s eyes.

Hey guys,

Just wanted to pop in here and mention that one of the ways for us to access a build’s strength is to get in and play it ourselves. Grouch playing decap doesn’t correlate with the balance team thinking this build is in a good place in sPvP. You’d be surprised how some of us feel about it in reality.

I thought you guys should know I’m writing an e-mail to the team as we speak about its prevalence and perception in the game. You guys have done a great job messaging out against the build, it’s gotten our attention. No promises on things changing about this build in the near future but you might see some things get better/worse with the secret changes coming in for the feature build that will potentially address this.

Thanks again for all the discussion on various topics. It may seem as if we don’t read these forums anymore but in reality we have a very loaded patch we’ve been slaving on for the past few months.

hi i got my account hacked for about 3 days ago.. im not sure when it happened at the day but as i can see in guild wars 2 it started 3 days ago so can i get my account restored as it was for 7 days ago in that way i know that there was no hacker in my account.

General update 14 February 2014:

There are several unusual types of tickets being handled right now. This means that, due to volume, certain kinds of tickets are taking longer than three days to resolve. We’re working to get back to the 3-day turn-around time. Here are some of the types of tickets that may take longer than three days:

  • Refund requests (harvesting tools, Flame-Kissed Armor, etc.)
  • Account compromise (“hacking”) incidents
  • Requests for account restorations
  • Account disputes
  • Missing items

That list is not comprehensive, but off the top of my head those are some of the more complex tickets that simply simply may take more time to resolve. Having said that…

Please allow five days before posting in this thread for the time being.

I will update when we’re back to the normal, faster turn-around times. Thanks for understanding!

Hello, I’m in the process of getting a possible rollback pending investigation. I’m just curious as to if I should bother to make any real progress into the game until it get’s reinstated? I would hate to do all that work and then have it end up being reset. Thank you any input here is much appreciated.

If you qualify for an account restoration — which is determined, in part, by a remote compromise incident — then all progress you make will be lost. The agent will find the closest time that a “snapshot” was taken prior to the compromise, but cannot restore the account and also retain anything that you gain in levels, accomplishments, or items.

So while you’re waiting, just be aware that progress (and acquisitions) will be lost if your account is restored.

Hey there!

I’d like for you to try disabling Turbo Boost as this has been known to cause crash issues. Since this situation simulates over-clocking, I’d still like to try to disable this, and for that I have included some instructions for a work around below:

1. Go into Power options (Control panel → Hardware and Sound → Power Options) and click “Change plan settings” near your plan
2. Then click on “Change advanced power settings.”
3. Scroll down to “Processor power management” and expand it.
4. Expand “Maximum processor state” and modify the setting to 99%. Be sure to also set the minimum processor state to something below the maximum. I recommend 5%.
5. Then simply click “Apply” and “OK.”

After this has been done try launching the game again. When you do, the turbo boost feature should refrain from kicking in and that may resolve the issue you’ve been experiencing.

  • In your feedback, please tell us what area of the game you play the most (PvE/WvW/sPvP).
    • If possible, include stats on how much you play in each of those areas too.

I play, but not with my tag on. ~1200 games (50% of them rated): ~700 warrior, ~200 necro, ~200 engy. I consider myself in the “competative casual” category.

That means a bit more than 2 games a day since release, which to me is casual and has nothing to do with competitive. Especially due to the reason soloq doesn’t proove points for balancing.

Competitive casual is the gamer archetype I put myself in, not a judgement of numbers. To me it represents how I prefer structured matches and winning, but don’t go out of my way to become the best. I don’t claim to know how to best balance the game, I leave that up to the balance team :P I still love to play our game though.

You’re very welcome.

Just to also point out if you use that email address along with the password on any other site at all I would change it. Another good rule would be to never use the same email/password on any site, with that of another site. Once one of these agencies know that was a valid combination they could sell or even use it on their own to try to access other sites.

I solved that problem by removing your off-topic comments and creating this separate thread, then merging the other you created. You’ve commented about yours issue in at least three threads.
