1. I buy a berserker coat
2. I buy a magi’s coat for some reason.
3. If they have the same skin, I can combine them into one item, and I can right click to swap stats and upgrades, saving inventory space.

Having like 8 gear sets messing up your inventory isnt fun xD

The focus on tangible objectives rather than score. However the timer still and will annoy me. Pretty anti-climatic.

Maybe they can add an “overtime” mechanic. If it goes past 15 minutes, another 5 minutes is added, and all players are buffed so the NPCs are killed faster.

Or maybe a debuff that automatically does damage to gates, which is higher the more points you have. So the team that was the most active will have a bigger advantage after 15 minutes than the team that was camping their gate the whole time.

And maybe a damage bonus to defending npcs and the lord that goes up every minute, faster with more points, so its easier to burst down the lord :P

I really like that theres so much to do, and that theres a very clear objective, and progress to it.

In conquest, my path is very clear like “oh, after this fight ill go help close and fight 2v1”, but after a few games here I just keep going… everywhere.

Like, there might be a hero going up, and ill plan to go to the hero, but end up getting supply or killing some defensive npcs while everyone is busy. Its just so varied and fun :P.

Conquest is gonna be so painful to play after this beta ends D;

We’re an open minded group of friends, who now play gw2 together :). We’re all trans, too! The guild will probably end up on the small side, but everyone’s still welcome if it turns out to be big. We’d like it to be a nice little community where everyone’s allowed to be comfortable, and know most of the others.

We’re an European guild, on the Aurora Glade server. However, you can still join the guild if you’re on an american one :D. You wont be able to play with us from American servers, but you can still talk, and go on teamspeak and stuff. Some of us are american, so you’ll always* have someone to talk with :).

Most of them are new to the game, and busy doing levelling and stuff, but I’ve played since launch, and generally play everything (except WvW). We’re saving for guild missions, but that will probably take a while :P. We play for fun, but dont mind “wrecking faces and bawsing it up” every now and then. Though, we’re by no means an “elite” guild who ask for gear pings or whatever xD

We’re on skype all the time, and respect your preferred pronouns and name <3. But it isnt required, we won’t force you to do anything you’re not comfortable with. We’ll eventually set up a teamspeak channel for the guild.

It was already possible to easily shoot over walls by going in windowed and dragging the screen in a certain way.

People already did that. Now its just alot easier, and more balanced, because anyone can do it.

I really, really, STRONGLY dislike this change, and the green text.

The green text hurts my eyes.

The green downed bar makes it impossible to tell when someone is dying, unless your eyes are glued to teh party UI like they are to teh minimap (in pvp).

I dont want to have to pay attention to 3 parts of thes crene at the same time, I really liked being able to tell at a glance when someone got downed :/.

Also, the bars are much tinier in pvp. This may jsut be my oppinion, but I liked the big bars better, cosmnetically.

Too bad the only profession I enjoy is nerfed, then completely ignored by th devs, and then nerfed some more. If it wasnt for the state of the Mesmer Id still have gw2 as my favourite game.

Ive waited SO long for this patch… Especially the rewards and Build dicersity they promised.

Mesmer changes in this patch:

• Added a new trait that was viable. 3 days later nerfed it to the ground and its bow useless like all bew grandmasters.

So yeah. I would play more, but my favourite profrssion -and the only one that i find fun- is a joke in pvp, and im crippling myself by playing it.

Maybe the next balance patch will be something giod… See you in 2 years.

I remember duelling some friends in an empty server… When an annoying nooby thief joined. He pretty much threw himself at me and died in seconds… But he used a rune that triggered a death nova on going down… Which stacked about 40s poison :/. I couldnt even outheal it… And he wouldnt quit going kamikaze on me. After killing him 10 times, i finally went down cuz of my crappy heal, so we got another server :D.

For the firs time, I actually can’t wait to do condition :o. I always felt like enemies could just run away without even bothering with you, because it releid so much on clone deaths :/.

It’s not about how long it is, it’s how you use it.

Anyway, try looking at how the damage numbers change when you mouseover a skill. For example sharper images: for every 20% conD duration it increases by a second, which is about 100 damage. If you were to take a damage rune instead of duration, youd probably end up with slightly less than that 10
0 damage increase, but the difference is pretty tiny.

I’m pretty bad at number theorycrafting, so I generally just look at my highest soutce of damage and see how it changes with difference conD danage/duration. Also, if a rune were to give me 35% duration, it wouldnt really do anything for my sharper images, so I’d go 15% duration lower and get damage instead. Scepter torment is also a good one to look at, or winds of chaos/debilitating dissipation.

Hmmm I already finished the Balthazar track, and I don’t think I did more than 50 matches (and I didn’t win them all). I’m also a decent way through the Kryta Reigion track. A win in Solo Queue should give you one mini bar and a loss is maybe just under a mini bar?

I hope they make arenanet servers that are 5v5. Everyone makes the custom arenas 10v10 or 8v8… And it does feel like wvw like you said, which forces me to pick something ither than Mesmer, which is my favourute.

Also, most teleport spots don’t work :/. It just blinks you in plqce and wastes the cooldown.

Which gamemode? Pve/spvp or wvw?

Domination: Mental torment and Shattered concentration.
Duelling: Far reaching manipulations anf deceptive evasion.
Illusions: comfounding power (or whatever its called… I really dont care, cuz it doesnt seem all that usefull), Illusionary invigoration (im really sad that rhy moved this to master… I used to have illusionary elestacity and this one :/. They claim it was a buff, but it’s actually a MASSIVE nerf.), illusionary persona.

If you care about having a build ir role that will do something better than any other profession, avoid Mesmer at all costs.

Weapon rarity has no affect on stats in structured PvP.

Thank you for the clarification, but this hasn’t been made clear in-game. How will players know when they’ve entered with exotic weapons and the weaponsmith sells white-grade equipment?

By reading the tooltip in the PvP build interface, it says that attributes are normalized in pvp.

Sadly… Not that many people read the UI :/.

Usually when I answer people in map chat asking how to change their build, they literally had no idea there even were 3 buttons at the top :O.

I recommend you send a ticket to support if you lost your only chance to ever get a balthazaar backpiece.

As for buying multiples… I’m not sure if they can help you on that, but it’s worth the try.

Maybe we should make a bug thread explaining how power block right now is bugged.

• it puts skills with cooldown on 10s cooldown
• it doesn’t put skills without cooldown on 5 secon cooldown, like it should. The power block trait states:_ add 5 seconds more cooldown to interrupted skills._
• it doesn’t affect interrupts on bosses with defiant, even though halting strike and other traits activate.

This bug has been around since they introduced Illusionary leap… At the first beta :P

I occasionally just have fun with 3 clones on that one golem in the mists that spins and knocks you back.

Don’t worry about Mesmer. Chaos Archangel, Pyroatheist, Osicat, they’ll find a way.

I suspect:

1. Osi: will claim that Mesmers are stronger than ever before, and speak of many new opportunities where there are only few.
2. Pyro: is annoyed by new bugs and strange balance, but not surprised. He doesn’t really expect The Anet ‘balance’ part to get their kitten together. It won’t stop him from having fun, though.
3. Chaos: has a newfound love for the traveler runes, and is already trying to make up new builds that are built around it. It’ll probably called ‘The Olympian Mesmer’. He’s also going to write an epic story of Aeoldyn bravely but swiftly running away.

I think that’s pretty accurate :P.

Anet manages to convince that a balance patch will give us alt of build diversity every time. I’m a Mesmer, so I obviously leave dissapointed every time :D. In the past it made me reeaaaaly sad, but lately I just haven’t been expecting much… Untill this patch.

Well, atleast warriors an some ithers are ever so slightly less powerfull.. So I’m kinda happy.

At a level 80 zone, you can get your clones to do around 150, but that’s basically the same as 1-4 damage in a level 30 zone.

More like 15… On crits :P. Unless were talking staff clones, those eill do about 400 damage per hit, without sharper inages on a conD build.

And I don’t really feel like mirror images or blade was nerfed.

You have a dream that you get a precursor from a package you open, and you aren’t even trying to get a Legendary in the game.

Similar thing happened to me. I had a dream I went into pvp and forged the Dwayna longbow…. and when I woke up, I had to try. I only had enough for 2 tries…. but I got it!

I dream of gw2 a lot…. I just figured everyone did.

Here’s a simplified (so it’s not a massive 1 hour long wall of text) version of one I had, straight from my journal :D

14th of march, 5AM-6AM

I had a false awakning. For some reason I forgot to do a reality check, but instead jumped out of my bef and made a run for the toilet… But the water was blue, and it wqs actually a mystic toilet, so I tripped and fell in it. Moments later I was the sword twilight, in the movie Twilight, so I cried for whatever reason, and yelled at someone to ‘please stop the torture!’.

Then I was in Lion’s arch, some charr warrior was wielding me, ann i heard the By Ogden’s hammer, what savings! remix.

Then someone changed my stats, removed 50 power and added 50 evil, which was enough to make me the next scarlet.

I hot someone with my pew pew laser, but he didnt die for whatever reason, even though it was a headshot. I pressed F to finish him but he urgently yelled ‘wait! You’re dreaming!’. BOOM! Super explosive finisher.

I stared at the stranger’s blockified (because it was the aab finiaher) body, having completely forgot what he just said. Then Grouch appeared: ’I’m dissapointed in you, twilight’. I answered: ‘_oh no, Grouch, you’re my favourite dev! Is there anyway I can redeem myself?’_.

He typed 2 lines of code and made me allied to the blockified stranger. (Yes… Duelling is that easy) ‘you know what to do’, he said, whereafter he placed down a smoke bomb and rocket booted away.

I kneeled down near the blockified stranger to fondle (revive) him, but he suddenly became alive and grabbed me at the throat! His skin looked like that of a risen, his eyes were glowing bright red. I was frozen in place by fear… He slowly opened his mouth, and with a decayed and moaning voice spoke: ‘YOU… Are dreaming.’.

WOOSH. My surroundings shifted into focus. I felt a soft breeze and sunlight over my skin, accompanied by a "woosh"ing sound. It felt like I had a sudden revelation. It’s like a new world has opened, where anything is only limited by your imagination, and creativity… It’s begging to be explored!

I spent 500g buying and opening dragon coffers to get the 3 weapon tickets i wanted. Several weeks later the skins become tradeable and go for 30g on the tp.

It was bitter, but I didn’t go on the forums to cry about it. Neither did I demand anet reimburse me for my 400g loss compared to people who buy the tickets now.

The 500g was what i was willing to pay for the weapons, just as people with dual legendaries were willing to pay x amount for dual legendaries.

IMO people who cry for free legendaries should just suck it up and be happy that they can now use as many copies as they want, just like everyone else.

Thats RNG. You couldve spent either 10 gold, or een 50000. Later tey just added a non-RNG way of getting them.

If they suddenly added a 200 hour long quest that gives you a legendary for free, should people get a refund if they spent money on it? Ofcourse not, it’s just an alternative way of getting it that takes yhe same amount of time.

The wardrobe… Is not. It basically gives that second skin FOR FREE without anything else. It takes a minute to buy an exotic, go to the transmute screen, and click apply. Compare that to the hundreds of hours you spend on making a legendary.

Wow… I cant believe people are actually against compensation.

Just imagine you spent hundreds of hours on something, and after you conplete it, it’s pretty much deleted.

This game is about skins, no one would spend 1000s of gols on a legendary just to get ascended stats and a free ‘stat selector’. With the wardrobe its very easy to just buy an exotic for 3 gold, conpared to the 1500 gold some spent on their second legendary.

There’s really no reason to be against a refund, except for jealousy.

I played this game for like 2000 hours, and barely have 10 gold :P.

Theres not even a Legendary I want, so no motivation. I use sword about 80% of the time, but I really prefer the super sword over bolt. Getting sunrise or the scwpter seems like such a waste to only use 10% of the time… I really hope they make new legendaries, or even use the same effects on all weapons. I wouldnt mind a sunrise sword ;D

Top 5 reasons to not implement duelling:

1. It creates toxic players. This is a big deal, because we currently have no toxic players whatsoever. Especially not speedrun elitists who bash you gor not doing what they want. The worst is that you can easily ignore elitists who spam your chat, but you can NOT simply ignore someone asking you for a duel.
2. It removes the close bond I have with strangers. Due to this game’s deep storyline and immersion, I feel a close bond with pretty much everyonr. When they start fighting, it removes this sense and ruins my own play experience. It is completely unrealistic to do friendly sparring, just how it is the best form of martial arts practice in real life. In thr current age, and even as far back as the stone age. Practice should not be allowed, especially because it prepares young heroes to become better in combat and kill evil, without risk of dying.
3. I don’t understand how people can possibly have different intereste than me. Duelling should not e implemented because it’s boring.
4. It makes us realise how unbalanced this game is. We definitely did not know this before.
5. It will upscqle events. Duellers like standing near events, because there’s a chance a random mob hits them and cancels the duel. It is also vonpletely different from AFKers just standing in events.

Nope, because most traits are garbagr, and cost money to unlock.

I just hope they didnt make Mesmer utterly useless… As far as I can tell we only got nerfs.

I remember that time… The worst was that every party involved believed that they themselves were right. It was just a massive flame war, untill someone finally got forum bans xD

The sad part is, that the ‘discussion’ was because new Mesmers just wanted a viable build that they can have fun with. For some reason that aggravates 1337 mlg speedrunners, making them force that same speedrun stuff down peoples’ throats.
