The best buff to your jumping skills is mesmer portal.

You just have to earn 500k exp without dying. If you die it resets the count. I believe this is still bugged so if you log out or change zones it resets as well. It’s best to just forget about it. You will randomly get it one day when you’re crafting or farming events in CS or something.

I play alts all the time and I couldn’t care less. My first 75 laurels are going to that fancy cat anyway. Stats are overrated in this game.

Logoffski is pitiful. Especially in this game with its minimal death penalties. I am all for making people stay in game for 10+ seconds after they log to avoid stuff like this. Maybe just in pvp so people don’t whine about it in pve? Either way though I’m all for it.

Only for gold selling (and maybe spamming) reports though. I can see other situations where I would want to report someone but not necessarily block them.

Try searching for “gw2 crafting guide” on youtube for basics on what the heck you should be doing when you open the crafting window.

“No gear grind” is something this game was built on and marketed on. It is a core design principle. Asking to change it is essentially asking for a different game.

That is the case for any mob. If you jump up to a ledge or rock they can’t climb they will just forget about you.

Somewhere inside your race’s home city will be a purple swirly portal that takes you to Lion’s Arch. From LA you can hop to any of the other home cities. The starting area will be right outside the city.

edit: alternatively you can just open the pvp menu and go to the mists and then run through the purple swirly portal that’s right in front of you to get to LA. Might be easier if you’ve never run through your home city before.

Report the people who do this. Hopefully anet will take action on those who display a pattern of such behavior. Other than that though there isn’t a whole lot they can do besides requiring a three person vote to kick (which they absolutely should do). You can’t just not allow the group to kick someone while inside the maw level or whatever.

There’s one thing I don’t about people with alts. Why not just go through the dungeon on your 80 and then bring your alt back in for the boss/bonus? It irritates me when people ask can they play on their alt and their alt is usually a serker that dies in a few smacks.

because then you aren’t playing your alt you’re playing your main. I don’t level alts just to have another 80, I level them because I enjoy playing the game in different ways.

Not much has really changed as far as gameplay. There are fractals now. Denge is dead.

You get experience as you gain crafting levels which totals to around 10 levels. You don’t get another 10 levels once you hit 400.

I know lot of people are afraid of having this tool in the game, but for me if you know how to play your class and you know that you would play productively then there is no need to be afraid of it.

There is DR on gathering. If you have mined too much, for example, mithril, eventually all nearby mithril nodes will vanish.

You don’t NEED other people to play though. Just yesterday, I hopped on GW1 and vanquished 3 or 4 zones with just heroes.

How were the pvp queue times?

Why in the world would someone use their swap slots as inventory space? You cut your combat effectiveness dramatically and gain two slots that can only be filled by a few specific weapons per class. Poor tradeoff from my perspective.
