I’m not saying you should only use Greatsword ever in very situation, but the other weapons should not eclipse Greatsword. Do you want a speed increase? Switch to Warhorn. Do you need to remove a boon? Switch to Focus. Do you need an Immobalize and some hp back? Switch to Dagger. Those are few examples, but Greatsword should be the main weapon for Reaper, not Dagger.
I have to agree with this.
Unfortunately I had the same impression playing in the BWEs, the situation where the GS was good is only to spam gravedigger under 50% HP, a DPS buff would be great.
Since it’s clear that Celestial form is a based on DS mechanics, why they can use utilities in that form and we can’t?
It’s an inconsistency, IMHO.
Please don’t nerfbat us just because some players don’t know yet how to proper counter the Reaper. This specialization is getting a good place at meta, and those changes seems to be pretty solid.
All that I can see is he saying a lot of obviously problems from current PvE, which isn’t actually a meta problem , and self-promotion.

All conditions damage will change, but what about fear, once we are the only profession with this causing damage:
0.40 * Condition Damage ratio and deals 33% less damage if target has no other conditions
Any change on that?
Another thing that people should know is that we do have blast finishers from Putrid Explosion and Necrotic Traversal.

Pretty good cond. boost DPS from the might stack, and LB hit 3~4k.
Bleeding= 13 stacks, ~1.6k
This whitout all the right sigils i’m atm. (still building this set)

There’s some news or hint about when they gonna be in the game? Or if it’s a sure thing.
The cond. cap stack is a well known issue and we never had an official pronunciation about it, how could it be fixed or if they will do it someday.
As a Dotter from every mmorpg I played, I can just accept my truncated necro DPS.
Being a necro since the first closed beta, I’m really happy with these changes, now I can finally give up definitely from the necro and play as Warrior.
If previously necro was useless in PvE, now we are bellow trash.

Condi, power, precision. Basically what rampager should be. With this you open up the possibility of 1 condi spec being included in optimized pve groups.
Even Power, prec, condi damage could work nicely.
Please, please, PLEASE add this one, I would love play as a condition mancer in PvE efficiently.

Honestly, you’d have to be learning-impaired to regard the balance and development of this class as anything but hilarious. It’s like watching a toddler using a ball peen hammer to fix a spilt yoghurt.
As a necro who plays since closed beta with only my main, i have to agree with this.
The patch notes wasn’t clear enough:
All existing, infused ascended equipment has a +5 Agony Resistance infusion in the Agony Resistance slot by default, in place of the natural +5 Agony Resistance.
Agony Resistance infusions provide +1 or more Agony Resistance.
Artificers can combine two identical Agony Resistance infusions with a Thermocatalytic Reagent to create a single, more powerful Agony Resistance infusion.
-And what about who already have omni infusions on a slot, what happen to the +5 Vitality?

Really appreciate the constructive feedback, particularly yours, Phantaram. You seem to be analyzing from a very objective and unbiased point of view, which is very helpful.
As for the subject at hand, I don’t have anything to remark about it because we’re still wanting to see more constructive, unbiased feedback. We’ll continue to observe matches today to determine if any immediate action is necessary.
Glad you guys are watching this thread closely, after all, GW2 is only sPvP.

No, they’re busy laughing it up with Rangers who got a 3 sec stealth on longbow (12 sec cd) and some other buffs. They deserved some attention first.

Wait wait wait…So the base radius for our symbols is now what it used to be traited with Writ of Exaltation??? Does this mean I can finally run something else instead of ensuring my symbols actually hit something outside of the range of my toes? Sweet.
Most of the symbol changes were just correcting the effects to match the actual area of the symbol. A lot of the symbol’s effects were 120/180 when the actual area was 180/240.
That being said, we did increase Symbol of Swiftness and Symbol of Faith from 120/180 to 180/240 to be consistent with the other symbols. =)

I don’t understand why you guys hate Anet for making you play the game by the rules. Yes, falling damage will kill you now.
Its not for the falling damage, the problem is that DS is out only survivor mechanic, read the thread.

Surely I’ll try this after todays patch!
They want build diversity… but they make us lose a couple of builds just because some whiners where overwhelmed in pvp.
BTW i’m happy that with the DS nerf we are finally able to stomp and ress in DS…
Maybe they’re planning something bigger behind all this, maybe in 6 months we can see another patch note for us.
I would pay for it, above all after todays patch. Say the price!
Damage taken while in death shroud will now overflow to the necromancer’s health pool if the damage taken is greater than the remaining life force.
Greater Marks: This trait has been moved to the Master tier.
Terror: Reduced the damage by 17%. Fixed a bug so this trait now checks for the torment condition as well.
Seriously Anet? We got a little of attention since the game release and thats enough for a nerf.
I don’t know why I keep playing as a necro when all you want from us is play as Thief,Mesmer or Guardian, I’ll reroll.

Its really epic!
Yes well apparently an even fight is not what a lot of people want because now this week a bunch of guilds have gotten together and come up with an amazing, brilliant strategy…. all transferring to the same server! Wow what an splendid display of tactics and strategy! Who could have guessed that simply getting a large number of players to switch servers would win the day! Yes now the server that was a close 3rd place is now a dominant 1st place and outnumbers both servers during all hours.
What a fantastic display of players gaming the system to stack the deck in their favor. Even when by accident an even match is set up some people always have to find a way to make sure they don’t have to play an even match. This transferring nonsense, the fact that no one can take anything in this match without being accused of hacking, and all the bickering and trolling pretty much has turned a lot of people away from wvw.
See you guys next week when you get a tougher match you can’t easily win and you transfer back?
What is this about? Who transferred where?
