Wait no. You got legend in the first two seasons because match making was a joke. Reality check. You’re probably not a good player and deserved to be placed where you are. 4 DCs are unlucky but if you were good you’d be able to climb fast like im sure most other good players have.
Also a set of 10 (or X number of matches) to decide on placement is how ranked works in most games…
Bro, I cant land a CnD for kitten man. But then again who the eff plays S/D D/D or P/D anyways am I right?
I agree. Not everyone deserves legend. It should be a status earned, not thrown at your average PvE raider or fractal player.
Um…..like…..check your privilege?
You’ll have to get a credit card like the rest of us.
That awkward moment when I actually bought Gems with real money months ago. But the things I want are still not in the Gem Store.
Yep! I’m on the same boat. I’ve been waiting for a 50% off sale on Striders and Magitech armor for 3 months now. Hell even 20% off would be great. If anet doesn’t want go create or armor skins they should at least cycle the ones they have more often. ????
I personally as someone who played competitively (not esports competitive) think that the PvE community kinda does kill PvP. As much as I believe everyone has the right to play whatever they want however they want I also think its more of a downside than plus. Sure its a whole new gametype for people to enjoy but when you attach PvE rewards such as ascended armor (no use in pvp) or legendary skins which are avalible for “everyone” which pulls in people to ranked games who may not take it as seriously. This leads to massive skin collectors, AP collectors or whatever to play random builds or play poorly which ruins it for people who want to get competitive. This isn’t the case 100% of the time but it isnthe majority. PvP should be kept more competitive and the Player vs Player armor or legendary rewards should be kept in WvW.
Everytime I got a bad team I wanted to kill myself. Instead I uninstalled this garbage game. I don’t have to kill myself anymore. I think I won.
I can somewhat agree with what I’ve read so far. I’d like to add the need for new armor skins. NOT just 4 or 5 sets im talking about 10 plus. Make them difficult to aquire BUT also make sure they dont follow the light armor-skirts, medi armor-trenchcoat trends.
Also I’d like to see elite specs which are designed keeping PvP combat in mind as well. The HoT elite specs caused so much power creep and promoted skill less gameplay in my opinion. It’s honestly so bad the balance patches can’t even fix it. Damage is done, lets not make it worse by attempting to make new elite specs feel more “powerful” than the last. Encourage build diversity, not a pileup of “newer strong better”.
I have a small request orientated around the availability or armor skins in the gemstore. I understand that outfits are easier to create and faster to pump out than armor skins for a quick buck. (Hidden under the whole, “Armor skins are for in game rewards”. I mean where are the new armor sets then anyways?).
But could we at least get the currently available skins cycle monthly or bi weekly in the gemstore? I have been waiting for Striders armor for nearly 3 months now. Please?
In grade 2 we learned about making inferences and reading between the lines. I’ll help you out here buddy. Kodan will not be a new playable race. You’re welcome. Feel free to send gold to my account to express your gratitude for my impeccable comprehension skills.

I think anet once said they want outifts to be gemstore items and armor sets to be acquired in game. I guess the real question is “where the HELL are the in game armor skins then?” Is there less profit incentive to create them? Sure it requires more effort, especially when garbage design tends like skirts dresses and trench coats are drilled into the art teams brain but…. why not just put in the effort?
I figured they would add an elite spec that opened up a different armor weight to at least one class. Didn’t happen in HoT but maybe this and landspears in next expansion?
I wouldn’t count on it if I were you baabbbyyyyyyy
The main reason why people want this feature is because of the lack of variety and quantity in weight locked skins.
If ya aint gone give us new sheee at least let us use wutchu givin in the first block ya feel homie? Sheeee
I voted yes and I don’t even play the game anymore. I just have enough braincells to know whats right. Now all we need is a new more balanced less facerolly meta (nerfs to all classes in terms of general dps condi dps healing power and boon duration) and we have a whole new game on our plates and a motivation to improve and grow as individuals and even as joint members of a gaming community amen. God bless.
I feel like at the end of the day the main issue boils down to the lack of skins (in varieties which dont all follow a single trend) that are avaliable to the general public. We see so many outfits and gemstore skins which is OKAY but there should also be some unique in game skins to keep a balance. Skins and customising characters is one of the largest rewards a player can receive in an MMO and can’t be replaced with title rewards or boosters or achievements. Its about the need to look unique and stand out, and having the motivation to do so with a variety of new styles being released maybe even seasonally. Does it have to break immersion and look like a korean mmo gone wild? Not at all, but it just needs change and a larger general quantity.
(I normally make joke posts but im serious in this one)
Tell her to quit the game. Worked for me. Jk I still got legend. But I still quit.
Gotta selflessly promote the video duh.
I for one only like skins that were massive with skulls and fire, unique effects, which are hard to get. Skins that attract attention from a mile away and make people ask “who’d you have to kill to get a dope weapon like that?”. I think in general gw2 lacks flashy skins which are also really difficult to get.
People just get triggered when the champion doesn’t show character traits of a “run of the mill” hero. I don’t play other videogames (because time is money and im poor) but if you watch other Esports such as league or dota you’ll realize the players have near 0 personality and are for the most part sweaty nerds (no offense but this is general stereotype, inb4 i get perma banned from forums) with 0 microphone skills. I feel like once you watch a few of those interviews and come back to GW2 you can appreciate helseths interesting and rather unorthodox personality on the mic.
I mean I’d rather have people like Helseth than your average greasy, hipster glasses wearing guy who answers nearly every question the female interviewer askd with single words because of his anxiety and lack of experiance talking to someone of the other gender.
For the love of the 6.
Always reppin the 6. OVO

I play guild wars because I don’t have a girlfriend to send money and time on.
Uhhhh…quick guys bully him for not afking in the PvP lobby, all the cool kids afk in the PvP lobby, uhh…. theres nothing else I can bully you about uuuh
Craft Sunrise, craft twilight. Sell both and buy Eternity.
This one’s easy. I name all my male characters after myself and all the female characters after girls who have emotionally tormented me in real life.
Sometimes I just can’t let to ya know.
I’d say they were designed to pull people into buying HoT but while being designed, were adjusted to balance in PVE. Just because people don’t use elite spec weapons in raids doesn’t mean the initial balance/skill design was not more orientated for PVE content.
IMO if elites were designed for PVP the first thing arena net would have considered would’ve been build diversity and balance for a healthy competitive scene. Then most likely dragon hunter would’ve never gotten that F3 skill. Alacrity would’ve only been 15% and mesmer shield would’ve been a single block. Thieves would have gotten new dodge animations OR 3 dodges NOT both. I would say stuff about other classes but I don’t play them, so I wouldn’t know how to nerf them lol

I love when people put effort in suggesting things that will never happen! Keep up the good work.
> 1 greatsword weapon skin looks good on thief
> therefor thief should get greatsword
>Much smart
>very logic
+1 Stop queuing me with people I block & report.
You want equality? Then give up your special stealth attacks and use normal auto-attacks in stealth like every other class, even Mesmer.
You want to stay special? Then deal with the special treatment.
This reminds me of me when I first started mesmer. I used to hate thieves during the S/D meta. But then I got good and learned to play. Do I still lose to good thieves? Yes. Does that mean I think the nerf to stealth attacks is fair? No. Learn to put your emotionally charged opinions aside before jumping on a class balance post.
On a side note. Dayyyyuuum yo I can sound Hella proper when I’m feeling it.
Dude you know I’m always down to duo. Just pm me when I’m online. Diamond 3 atm.
Blocking is a useless function if I have to queue with the same people anyways. I have a spesific individual who would just walk around the map, and throw a game every time he’d end up in a queue with me, so I can only play when he’s not online. (This is at diamond where you will see the same group of plays quite frequently)
If it makes you feel any better I hate everyone that isn’t me, so it’s equality. Also if anyone actually gets outplayed by the clone mechanic…that’s just pathetic.
I’d have to disagree with this idea due to the fact that you’re missing out on a whole other perspective. I.e players who have earned these skins or have had the money to afford them feel a level of prestige amongst the community. Some skins signify ones hard work or even just basic participation in events that took place before newer players started to arrive. Please stop pushing for the idea of “everything for everyone” because that’s not how mmos should work. If I played gw2 at launch and got an exclusive skin during a one time event it means I invested time to obtain this item and would be degrading if it was just handed out to new players. It’s just a matter of loss of prestige.
This is also coming from a player who never had any fancy back wings or jet packs or horn tonics or whatever. I just belive people are entitled to exclusive skins because there is sentimental value behind them.
It’s gotta be engineer man. Momma used to be all up in my face like “why ain’t you a doctor like yo brotha, why ain’t you all starrin NBA like you otha brotha, why you ain’t a lawyer like yo god dayyyyuuum sista foo?”
And I be lyk fam don’t even worry I is already a engineer man. Low key gw2 fam
Keepin it real in the squad
Tube tops and jean-booty-shorts. Dat ghetto cosplay gotta be on FLEEK, ya’ll what I’m sayin.
Fo real doe, real talk doe. Wide Rim Glasses AKA Hipster Glasses AKA korean role play meta man, please man. Jesus
A moment of silence for Wvw. It was a beloved game type which many of us enjoyed and grew up playing. From the guild raids to reset nights and even pugmanding, it brought many of us together not only as players but as a family. Alas the time has come as it will for this game as a whole. Rest in peace wvw, we all will miss you dearly
Thank you.
*single tear rolls down eye *
Still waiting on those Hipster Glasses AKA Wide Rim Glasses. Korean role play fantasies won’t full fill themselves ya know.
Ive lost 3 SUPER close games because the kittening game client has crashed for team members. I can’t even get mad at them because its the client, not bad network or anything else. Fix your motherkittening clients anet.
Some loses every match, some wins every. Thats how 50% matchmaking should work, right?
Grats on getting out of amber.
I know the feel dude. Matching making is braindead along with the people I end up in game with.
I keep crashing in PvP games (2). Fix this garbage so I can rank queue.
Thanks
-Sam
I believe that moa and portal are actually the strongest skills in the game, making mesmer almost a must have in teams.
Its really changes team fights.
Only if you team queue. I’ve had multiple games were typing out “I am going to moa the target (and obviously calling target)” still fails to settle in the minds of the gw2 pvp community.
learn to play skillfully rather than frantically smashing your keys?
Yes, because a 1 second delay on a skill which is only avalible in stealth implies skillful game play in a meta where blocks, invulnerability, aegis, blind, passives and Dodge spam is at its peak. Do you feel stupid now?
Anyone can push buttons. A skillful person pushes the right buttons at the right time while other people just try to smash all their keys as fast as possible.
Because people getting passive procs of Aegis and protection and with Aoe blinds flying around is so skillful.
If anything pumping out boons, blocks passives is an example of skills and builds over compensating for garbage players and even worse gameplay. Just beacuse it’s a bigger pain in the auschwitz doesn’t mean it “requires more skill”. It’s reached a point where it’s just not proper balance.

My wallet found 2 on the trading post.
Dude I’ve had literally over 13 of my friends PM me today all saying quote on quote “I am so tilted” today. This match making is driving people bonkers. Full premades (even if they win) still have problems with pug dragonhunter team comps when there is 2+ stacked against them. I sadly don’t have the privilege to do team comps, and this solo queue literally feels like im willingly beating my nuts with a hammer.
+1 blood pressure.
+1 anger.
+1 im gonna get suspended for 3 months again because i’ll rage at someone who probably deserves it.
(edited by DoomKnightMax.6592)
I crash or D/C when I queue for WvW sometimes too. No idea why.
Honestly its more of a problem that came with specializations themselves. We started seeing traits with stacked affects. Largely a reason why we see druids and guardians with such a strong ability to pump out boons.
I agree. I will probably quit soon too.
To fix things we need to get to the root of the problem. Does anyone NOT find it REALLY wrong that the PvE team makes balance updates which impact PvP. Am I really the only one who thinks this way?
I loved the old trait system. Honestly everything post “specializations” has felt like rolling a snowball down a hill.
Also in my opinion the only justification for specializations over trait lines is the issue with stat locked trait lines. Other than that they were fine.
