In GW1 you didn’t have to que with a full team. Instead, you could fill in the missing spots with mercanaries (npcs) that would take the empty team spot.

With those 3 pop your impossiable odds for the quickness and just auto attack away, watch you health sky rocket back up to full

I solo Q still but it’s hard solo Qing when trying out new builds, it usually doesn’t go well….

So when I solo Q I end up running something cheesy that’s good for bunkering/holding points and pray when ur getting 1 v 2 – 1 v 3 ur team is doing good on the other points.

Oh and if you keep running to the same 5 man over and over again that are playing way too try hard against pugs, just add them on ur flist and Q dodge.

it wont give you the 72.33% boon duration that Vigilant would give you but still 35% is pretty good. Just food for thought although your build idea is actually really interesting

Except there are some cases where it is the game.. There is buggy stuff with The Mallyx trait line and some weapon skills for the rev..

The Mallyx GM trait.. A kitten grand master tait that’s copy’s condis to players hasn’t worked since the release of HOT. Not bugged, just flat out doesn’t work.

It would be huge if I can copy condis to an enemy team when a necro corrupts my boons without using any energy.

Knowing that a bug that should of been fixed, is holding my build/play style back rather then personal skill gives me every right to complain.

You guys think the 2 seconds of resistance is worth it?

Some how getting 100% boon duration would only make it 4 secs on heal.

Bottom line: I don’t think they should fully remove maps from the game and keep them for custom arenas for people that just want to mess around.

If they make Ventari more practical and fix the GM Mallyx condi copying trait. (Maybe give Mallyx a stun break too *wink wink wink)

I tried for the life of me to get this skill to work (3-4 days ago?)

It just wont proc… Standing next to someone while i have like 10+ stacks of burn would be nice if it can work.

This trait should be way better then the other GM’s as a bunker because your using energy to bunker and don’t have much energy for counter pressure.

If this is a bunker Build in tpvp then try +1ing a bunker Rev with a signet Necro.

Make full use of the Necro’s boon stripping and unblockable attacks.

Remember to use your unblockable fear from staff (trait for this) to knock the Rev out of their crystal hibernation proc at 25% health.

Ventari Trait Line = Good

-You can give players/npcs insane regen ticks with the outgoing healing

Ventari Stance = Needs Work

-Glints Stance gives very nice Regen ticks for the cost of -1 energy at 600 Range vs the Tablet’s Range. No Micromanagement Required

-I would only take the tablet for certain situations like projectile blocking or for burst healing NPC’s in pve. I don’t see much use outside of that.

It’s weird but Shiro makes up for it.

Burn Guard seems hella fun for pve, watching those stupid plant people melt, would play over Rev.

Rev is fun with Shiro but its dps rotation for pve is extremely easy to learn.. You can literally learn it in 5 mins.

Traps punishing the other team for not paying attention. (I was guilty of this one time as well).

Working as intended.

Against teams/players that have experience fighting DH traps, idk….Its a up-hill battle for the DH then, I cannot see Anet nerfing the spec.

With bunker rev I can literally /sleep in their traps when I proc Infused Light or Crystal Hibernation, I am sure other classes can find work arounds too if they pay attention.

People need to play against Dragonhunter and learn the match-up better instead of spending their time QQing because they play against a DH for one match.

Problem:
ETD during BWE2 had a role which was to transfer condis. With that taken away it just applies torment. However you can apply the same amount of condition pressure without ever using this skill. Not giving ETD a defined role as an elite

Infact just by pressing UA and Banish Enchanment is way better then using this elite for most situations. UA will snare ppl with chill and apply torment, better then ETD because of the range. Banish Enchantment is God like when your 2 v 1ing tanky builds on point. You can just sit back and spam this skill to strip all their boons while your team member rekts them.

UA has Snare and Condi Application

BE has boon removal and Confusion Application

Both have much better range

while…

ETD just has torment on a VERY short range with the coast of -8 energy upkeep, but I can use that energy to apply better condition application with my other skills.

During BWE3 why would you ever use ETD then?

-Only for the extra cleave pressure when the other team is in downstate
- To proc Elite passives that are on a ICD (yay cause we all love passive traits with icd in this game) like Burning.
-For the stat boost but its a -8 energy upkeep, its hard to make use of the stat boost with that energy cost.

It needs something extra or a combination of stuff, suggestions.

1. Since we already do good condi pressure with our other utilities. Revert it back to the old function for the condi transfer. With the good condi pressure with using our utilties we can still work well with builds that cleanse condis often.

The condi transfer was the role of ETD in BWE2

2. Give it a Snare. The range on it is terrible and its hard to stick on to targets with its high energy upkeep. Using UA to chill people then ETD eats up way too much energy and in most cases not worth it when your being pressured.

3. Give it better Counter Pressure. Retal perhaps?

4. Allows you to use Range condi pressure. Every time you attack you apply a range condition on your target.

5. Healing. Gain passive Sustain depending on how many conditions you have on yourself.

Suggestions are from the top of my head, feel free to add to the list ^^;

Crystal Hibernation is fine. If people QQ that its too strong bring a Necro with unblockable fear or Warrior with Signet of Might.

If your dieing to Condis in Crystal Hibernation you can pre-cast Mallyx ultitlies for resistance so it doesn’t effect your healing before it activates, or activate Glint Heal as last resort if your going to go down to condis at 25% health.

Would be nice if Rev had a ranged condi weapon.

I vote for Axe so i can dual wield Frostfangs, embracing dragon : 3

If there are going to be instances where you have to range dps and cant get close. Your going to need Hammer regardless.

On the plus side the Hammer skill set is insanely good for Rev and hits like a truck : D

I and so many other guardians, are sick and tired of ANET’s inscrutable logic when it comes to guardian.

This Druid Reveal was I feel almost the last straw for most guardians.

FIRST, I would like to point out the celestial form. How can ANET ask guardians advice on what to do with guardian tomes, when it is obvious they LITERALLY made the celestial form from Druid a polished and better version of it. Did they do that so they can give it to Druid secretely? While giving us some last minute roflmao signet (which still keeps us stationary, like every kitten guardian skill).

They also give druid our, LITERALLY our same trait (altruistic healing) and EVEN made it a minor trait. Not something you even have to choose between.

I mentioned in a thread about how Guardians should of had something like celestial form when they change our tombs but..

You made a great point that I forgot about, and that was the huge feedback threads of suggestions for the guardian’s tomes.

I completely feel the same way, they just took our suggestions for Guardian (specifically the tomes) and just gave it to the Druid. I’m happy for Druid and will play one but its slap to the face, and altruistic healing for ranger. really?!

It seems way better then the Guardian version, I wounder how much sustain the Druid will have from that skill by just pressing 1 on the staff auto attack beam 1200 range away.

That being said, I don’t know how Guardian will look in the expansion, it seems like a dark future. On the bright side Anet did say they will be balancing pvp more often with the seasons. It will take a miracle but maybe the Developer in charge of the Guardian will listen to us and actually engage in discussion for the sake of all Guardian players, just like how the other Developers do with the other classes.

You obviously don’t know very much about the Rev. If you have played with Mallyx at all then you’d know that it by no means gives you immunity to conditions.

You must not know what the Resistance boon does…

You should also know that Ventari is easily the most difficult and annoying legend to use. The heals and condition cleanses are very expensive. We don’t just get 3 conditions cleansed every five seconds automatically. Combine that with the fact that it’s extremely difficult to maneuver the tablet to where it needs to be in this era of mobility and you’ll realise that this is in no way a better option than any condition cleanses the guardian has.

Ventari is easy in spvp to manage when your on a point, there is no difficulty at all when bunkering a point with this legend. If you think it is then you need practice and learn how to manage your energy.

People seem to think that the revenant can keep up permanent protection but nobody in their right mind would keep up the Glint elite for too long, especially if you have any other upkeeps active (very likely).

1st I never said permanent protection
2nd its a long uptime with boon duration
3rd you can use ventari heal for on-demand protection not needing to sit in Glint 24/7 when using the herald trait line
4th you can Trait to gain protection when CC’d
5th Facet of Nature active

Crystal Hibernation: You seem to think that all revs will use this skill every 20 seconds. What you need to know is that a lot of people deem it very risky to use since you cannot move. Again, nobody in their right mind is going to use this every 20 seconds. The energy restriction is also a reasonably large factor.

Good Revs will time their Crystal Hibernation and manage the cool down. Who cares if you “cannot move” when your bunkering a point.

Also Crystal Hibernation new buff does not prevent point capturing in Spvp

Even if rev has better hp pool it is clearly less tanky than guard. He is VEEEEERY squishy to condi and mobility is his key for survive.

Rev can push out a 100% up-time in resistance with Mallyx which allows them to 1 v 2 much better then a Guard would.

Rev also has nice dmg reduction through their traits and can maintain a huge up time in protection. Rev also has their Crystal Hibernation buffed (no break bar anymore) with a 20 second cool down on their shield

Their Ventari tablet is buffed with all their utilities instant, have a 3 condi cleanse on a 5 second cooldown, plus more condi cleanses with their staff and condi dmg mitigation through their other stances.

Are they more tankier then Guards?
It is still hard to tell but to say they are “clearly” less tanky and squeeeshy to condis is not true at all.

What drives me crazy is Druid’s Celestial form.

That literally could of been a rework of the Guardian’s support tombs. I would of loved if Dragon Hunter offered that in addition with our virtues but sadly that is not the case.

I played 80 ranked/unranked games with the Rev on BWE2 as a bunker support so I’ll take time to answer the question.

Everyone so far pretty much answered what Jalis can do, but honestly some skills need work.

Keep in mind you can still give perma protection and regen to your allies without going into Glint using the Herald trait that gives protection on heal and Dwyana Runes

Your Heal that you can spam in Ventari will heal you, and give perma regen and Protection (600 range) when you activate it, Regardless on where you move your tablet, which is very important because it takes away pressure from micro managing that thing. Also combine this with your elite specialization facet for more boons.

If you only wanted to give perma regen and protection to your allies you don’t need to take Glint. Take Glint if you want the strong heal, stunbreak and stealth reveal.

Vise Versa with Ventari as well, I dont think you should bring BOTH Ventari and Glint stances if you want to give protection and regen, because they both can do that.

If you want to be bunker I recommend using Mallyx over Jalis because you are tankier cause of the resistance to condis. You dont need the dmg mitigation Jalis has cause you already have a huge up time in protection. You can also take condis away from your team mates.

+ It costs huge amounts of energy to use the dmg reduction skills on Jalis while protection is practically free allowing you to use energy for other skills.

When you 1 v 2 people on point in Ranked Que, and one person is pure condi, Mallyx will make that person useless if they cant strip the resistance. So you could go Mallyx, give yourself 10+ seconds of resistance, switch to Ventari, and just out sustain the physical dps, allowing you to effectively 1 v 2. With the buff to crystal hibernation I wouldn’t be surprised if you could pull a 1 v 3.

Also the Heal in Mallyx (in settler gear haven’t tried it with other stats) is literally a full heal with a couple of condis on you. You will go from 1% to literally 100%.

If you still want to take Jalis I then Highly recommend using staff for the extra condi clear.
