So I’m thinking about going for Dawn to make Eternity with my Twilight and have a couple of questions.

How do I know which Twilight is my actual Twilight legendary? (i’ve mogged a few different stat combos with the look)

Can I toilet a soulbound Twilight with an unbound Dusk?

If i toilet them together will I still be able to skin just Dusk or Twilight if I want the permanent look of either?

I would be thrilled if it was in the Far Shiverpeaks especially now that we are able to glide. I think you hit the nail on the head, far too many hints for that considering the paintings and all. I think it will be the snow zone because I believe that is the target for the next expansion, just a gut feeling.

This makes me wonder…if they add something new for masteries, what would it be? A grappling hook, wall climbing, what?

Hmm, could be. I thought it looked like an explosion out of water, hurling chunks of rock with it (so, Steve/Bubbles?) but your ice land idea works as well and you have a lot of salient points in support.

But it could be the fractal teaser, as we know from the media articles that there will be a Mysterious Asura who creates a new fractal out of elements of the old ones and those hunks of rock looked a lot like the floating fractal islands. Which could be cool, or could feel like a mix and match mashup that recycles puzzles we already know, depending on implementation.

It is possible, but those things that look like floating fractal islands, weren’t actually there before the explosion, you can see the nova destroying the land beneath it before then having the debris get propelled toward the ship.

This could be potentially showing the before and how the chaos isles were created, and setting up the fractal, but i think they would tease the main story arc and not the fractal.

The super nova at the end of the trailer was:

1) The land was very white and blue, the color palette of the Shiverpeak zones.
2) The nova itself had a blue glow, the color associated with Jormag.
3) A lot of the debris looks like chunks of white ice.
4) The debris headed towards the ship looks more like solid earth, but still has a sheen to it perhaps indicating it is frozen earth.
5) All of the Shiverpeak paintings in the last raid wing which were ALL OVER the place with no explanation as to why. Perhaps it was indicating the White Mantle already know where the next Bloodstone fragment is.
6) It was confirmed in GW1 that a piece of the bloodstone landed in the far shiverpeaks. We just got done dealing with a piece of the very same Bloodstone in the jungle.
7) We are to believe that Lazarus has been resurrected from the end of wing 3 of the raid, however because we interrupted the ressurection early, it is possible that Lazarus is weak and needs to absorb some more magic, which would mean he’d need another bloodstone shard, which is why he’s headed to the shiverpeaks.

I don’t think this is the new fractal as well. I don’t think they would put fractal stuff in the Living Story trailer, they have said that the fractal will have a story parallel to the main arc, but I don’t think the only new footage we got, was them teasing the fractal and not the main story arc.

A player buys gems to convert to gold to go to the TP to buy the skin they want

Anet gets money. Player gets skin. TP Seller gets gold, for in game earning of keys or paying Anet money for the keys. Everyone is happy.

After -
A player buys gems to buy keys. Player opens chests. Player gets 0 scraps and tons of useless kitten. Player then has to buy more keys. Player gets 2 scraps and more useless kitten. Player then has to buy more keys and gets 3 scraps, along with, you guessed it, even more useless kitten. Player has 5 scraps and 3 tons worth of useless kitten and still doesn’t have the skin he wanted. TP Seller who has tons of tickets sitting in his bank that he uses to sell skins can no longer buy skins to sell.

Anet makes more money. Player has no skin. TP seller has no gold. Only Anet is happy.

If you guys want more profit because of the inflation of gems to gold. Just flat out sell BLTC tickets in the gem store, and cut out all of this RNG bullkitten.

I’m using REAL hard earned cash, I don’t want to gamble it away in a game. I need guaranteed results.

but in one of the guild chats both lead writers( boby and leah i think) said raids will have side and non important story and they even said they know there are many people who love story and lore but they are not raider., few months after it turns out raid contains one of the major story lines from gw1, were they lying?!

the white mantle and mursaat are very much IMPORTANT story arcs, and I’m hoping this raid is just going to introduce Lazarus the Dire and he will be put into LWS3, which is why LWS3 has to come out AFTER raid wing 3.

Maybe Lazarus the Dire is Scarlet 2.0 and is going to bring about the next Elder Dragon in LWS3.

The way it’s looking right now though, Lazarus is going to be the Final Boss of the raid.

They had said that raids wouldn’t contain any story that would affect the “main story” of GW2, which I’m now guessing means the Elder Dragon arc. I guess old lore is okay to put into raids, when almost every GW1 player turned GW2 player has been waiting 10+ years for some of these story arcs to be resolved.

Most people thought you were just going into the raid to save a group of stragglers who got pinned in by some leftover Mordrem Monsters, and most people were okay with that.

However, the white mantle and the mursaat are very much a part of GW’s OVERALL main story.

And now, I have to worry about, are they going to put Livia’s story arc in a raid? Is palawa joko’s story going to be put in a raid? Is what happened to the Tengu fleeing Cantha going to be put into a raid? Is the New Emperor in Cantha story arc also going to be put into a raid? Am I stuck only learning stuff about elder dragons, while raiders will get to experience stuff that I’ve been waiting 10 years to be resolved, while I read about it on a wikipedia page or watch it through a WoodenPotatoes video?

Well that’s just grand. My one big disappointment about GW2 was its severely lacking continuity going forward from the first game, instead saddling us with rubbish dragons, ugly steampunk nonsense and Trahearne.

And then they put this in the raid I’ll never be playing.

Lazarus cared little for this collateral damage, but the host of the final aspect, former Justiciar Naveed, cared quite a bit. Having long since realised that Lazarus’ gift was no blessing, he fled to the Tarnished Coast, where he sought the help of the talented asura Glayvin. Together, they were able to severely damage the aspect, but not remove it. When Lazarus eventually came to claim the corrupted aspect, he felt his power turn on him. He fled to go into recovery, but not before vowing vengeance against “countless generations”.

You are telling me, that one of the GW1 open story points, is going to be resolved in the KITTEN RAID!!

If Lazarus the Dire is the final boss of the last raid wing, I am going to lose my kitten.

GW2 fans who played their kitten hearts out of GW1, have been begging for GW1 lore to be pumped into the Living Story, and then you go and put the first bit of GW1 related story into content that only 5% of your player base is playing?

Decrease the man power behind raids.

Let raids have the lengthy release windows. Raiders care about PvE and the story of the game, so inbetween raid releases there is content that everyone can enjoy.

Non-raiders are happy with story. Raiders are happy with raids and story breaks.

I can’t understand why you wouldn’t make content that 99% of your player base would enjoy, but instead make your priority what 1% of your player base enjoys, and make the 99% wait a year for more content.

LWS3 should be the priority, and then let raid wings have the delayed release.

This is pretty much a raid only release, and I hope Anet has someway to see the numbers about how little the % of their playerbase cares about raids, and instead of making 3 raid wings the priority after launch, they focus more on the stuff that made their game so successful heading into HoT.

Such as Living Story, awesome fights like the Marionette, SAB, story driven festivals, bi-weekly releases. We didn’t see anything like this leading up to HoT and everyone passed it off because all the devs were working on expansion 1. We don’t have that excuse anymore and it’s been 6 months since the release of HoT and we still haven’t seen any of this and GW2 really returning to what everyone loved about the game in the first place.

I feel like the game I played for 2 years, and 6 years in GW1 has become something completely different and I’m really disappointed in the way it is going. I have been occasionally just checking the news from the outside, because I expected to have some content to come back to soon since i started a break from the game around the holidays.

I mean, an entire year without any living story(LWS3 in Q3)? Three years in and we still haven’t started delving into story lines that were left wide open in GW1 such as Palawa Joko in Elona, the new Emperor in Cantha, and what happened with Livia and the Scepter of Orr at the end of Prophecies.

If it takes an entire year to drop the next living story, how long is it going to be before we get expansion 2?

Let’s make Guild Wars 2 great again.

As a pretty casual player of GW2, I log on about 2-3 hours a day. I played HoT pretty hardcore for two weeks or so, and completed the story on my 3 favorite characters, and did a few Dragon’s Stand on each one. The other alts, I just ran through Hero Points to unlock their elite spec, and since then I’ve been doing core Tyria stuff instead.

I went back to farming silverwastes, Chest Farm + Vinewrath, and World Boss train.

The problem with HoT is that a 1hr+ Dragon Stand meta event, or any other HoT Meta Event doesn’t have the rewards to make it a fun “farmable” event. I can make a lot more gold by farming silverwastes and world bosses in that 1hr+.

If they would just not be afraid to up the rewards in those places, people would flock to them.

well considering there were only 3 options for this category and FF14 and SWTOR kind of suck in general compared to gw2

It first debuted on April Fools day of 2013, and because it was so well received, they added a World 2 in August of 2013 as a Back to School edition as well as a World 3 Teaser, and nothing since.

So no SAB for almost 2 years and 4 months, which is crazy to think about, because it doesn’t feel like it’s been that long….i can still remember playing it pretty distinctly.

I crafted my Heavy set back when ascended first came out and I was maining Warrior and had a Guardian alt.

Totally bought my way to 500 crafting in Tailor and Leather….and bought my ascended gear mats to make Light and Medium….except for the dust, frags, and ore.

No way was I going through that gold grind again, and since I am blessed with finally finding a decent paying job this year, i decided to splurge a bit.

So I have a intel i5 2500k sandy bridge overclocked @ 3.7 GHz…..so my processor fairly good and even outpaces the i7’s that are out…so not really sure i need an upgrade there…

My GFX card currently is a 770, and I am thinking of upgrading to a 980 to help with some fps issues….I sometimes lose frames and go down into 20ish frames even with just around 20 people on the screen

anyone found the 980 to be good, or do you suggest a CPU update?

we were able to down the chak gerent in my run with WP and his pug of twitch followers….we used squad UI to evenly split the zerg and i think each lane had 25ish people and nuhoch lane were able to burst it down by round 2….and then evenly split among the rest of the lanes(especially scar lane)

I think the biggest help is that we had a TON of ranged dps and we split the zerg into 5 man sub groups that looked like

Herald
Ele
Ranger
Warrior/Berserker
Chronomancer

so we didn’t put too much dps in one lane, or only two lanes had chronomancers while the other didn’t have a single one….or two lanes had a herald and the others didn’t have one

I’d say that Morde is still alive, except that Anet knows that they want to do expansions now, and were able to roughly make this expansion in 1 years time…so i think we are only getting 1 Living Story update and that is going to setup the next elder dragon’s rise

and since we are gonna be learning a lot about glint’s egg, i believe we are headed to the crystal desert and kralkatorrik

We are about 3 weeks out from launch, most people experienced it and because there is no sub fee, are probably playing games like CoD, Halo, Fallout, Tomb raider and star wars battlefront released all in the past 3 weeks

They’ll be back to level alts later down the road

I told everybody the raids weren’t going to be that hard, when I saw pugs in beta getting the first boss down to 10-20%

Everyone went in comparing these raids to the raids in another name that shall not be named.

The problem is the raids in that other game has gear that is only found in the raid that is required for your group to be able to do enough dps throughout the raid and with only 1 loot drop per boss kill, it’s going to take a couple weeks for your group to beat the raid.

In GW2 that’s not the case, you go into the raid with the best gear in the game, the ONLY thing stopping you from beating a boss is figuring out the mechanic.

The reward is contradicting

I’ve given up on it yes…unless I come home and see WP trying to do it because he was able to get his streamers to get 3/4 gerents down.

So unless I ride WP to a success, I doubt it’s happening.

Sometimes when i use the 2 skill which puts you on ur head…ur suppose to be able to 2 again and jump across gaps and stuff, but the skill is so unreliable on if it will work that i’m having trouble even completing the adventure

Anyone know if gliding Tier 5 mastery will help with Sanctum Scramble race adventure? I am having a hard time getting silver in it.

The only thing you need to get gold on that adventure is basic gliding and an understanding of the skills. You can use skill 2 while gliding. You should be using all 3 of your skills basically on CD for that race.

It seems like I’ve only been getting dragonite ore and bloodstone dust in most HoT maps.

Strength is best for Herald…as it lets ur Might Upkeep skill on Glint to reach ungodly stacks on it’s own….and then with ur F2 you can get up to almost 20 stacks just standing still

Pre-Fight have all 3 Glint utilities active

Opening: F2 > Axe 4 > Sword 3 > Glint AoE Breath > Glint 5 x2 > AA til Sword 3 > Sword 3

Legend Swap > Shiro Heal > Shiro Imp Odds > AA til Glint is off CD > Legend Swap > F2 > All Glints Utilties upkeep > Glint AoE Breath > Sword 3 > Repeat

Use Glint Elite on CD or save it for break bars….Jade Winds can be used instead of Imp Odds after legend swap for break bars as well

Yeah…the hint for the piece says you just have to kill a Chak Gerent…but in fact, you have to complete the meta, because the piece is inside the meta reward box
