The real life genders of players really means nothing unless you’re looking to connect on a more personal level with them. No one will know either way unless you tell them so don’t worry about it and ignore the thirsty ones hitting on pixels lol.

Without the pof specializations, I would say tempest or scrapper are pretty solid. Otherwise, spellbreaker or scourge seem pretty good too.

Of course, that’s just my opinion and I’m no expert, so you may have better luck with something else. Happy hunting!

I consider myself lucky for being able to experience the content from the Living Story Season 1, and the items were just souvenirs to me. I kind of feel bad for the players that can only get the items without experiencing the events that went with them, personally. The Queen’s Jubilee, Festival of the Four Winds, Dragon Bash, Nightmare Tower, and the Marionette were some of the most fun things to play through that aren’t repeatable.

I guess that’s just how I see it though, and everyone is entitled to their own opinions. I think it’s nice that they let newer players at least have an alternative way to get the items, even if they can’t experience the content that they missed out on.

I’m excited for the new ways to play and the new content. I’m still discovering new events and characters all over the map from the current content and the demos have been fun for me so far. I’m a very casual player and the open world content appeals to me the most in this game though, so that’s where I’m coming from.

A pin was added that resembles a cat instead of a dorito? Some people just want to watch the world burn, don’t they?

I would like longer, messy fur for both genders, long mangly hair and scars. I wanted my female charr warrior to have a more wild look, similar to this sketch I drew a few years back. I think it would be cool to have some charr that look more like creatures/monsters than animals, but that’s just me. :P

Balthazar has betrayed Tyria and the humans that worshipped him. He doesn’t care about them anymore, so Tyrians are going to fight for their world and their lives, even the humans who once worshipped him. Those who worshipped him may even seek vengeance for their betrayal.

Tomes of knowledge are a common drop from the wvw reward track/participation award. Idk if you get that in eotm or not but in regular wvw maps it works out quite nicely. If wvw makes you anxious then aside from crafting idk. Sorry if that’s not very helpful. ^^;;

Overload water isn’t super fancy but watching it channel is so satisfying to me. I like all of the ele skills though!

I was just wondering if there will ever be a recipe for this, or a way to salvage ascended insignias? About a year ago, I made the ascended Marauder insignia to make the aqua breather only to find out there was no recipe for that stat combo. I’ve been waiting for the recipe to be implemented but it hasn’t happened, and the insignia was so expensive to craft that I’d hate to waste it, but I already have all the other ascended armor pieces that I need. Is there a way to amend this or hope that these recipes will ever be implemented? :c

I would be happy if they would just let us change the helm at least…

Not being able to dye them hasn’t stopped me from buying them, although every year I keep hoping they will make the wings of love a backpack as well as a glider lol. X3 I think they explained why it would be pretty hard to make them dyeable before too.

Ok so the way im seeing it, multiple players in the ESL scene have multiple accounts. We know the players The Abjured beat players who kind of reported this yet many of those players had 2-3-4 accounts on the top 250 leader board.

Why is it ok for them to accept rewards for multiple accounts yet The Abjured for playing on others peoples accounts?

Anet allows gold for raids/gifts ( people paying Anet real money for gifts so a guild can run people threw raids for the AP, then giving them those gifts) and now all of a sudden this is immoral ?

The PvP wanted serious rewards and claim for being good at PvP in this game. Guess what none of that happened. Bronze and silver players grinded to Legendary season 1-4.

Still no leader board, match making makes little to no sense and the meta is horrible.

Yet we want to punish players for not playing on there main accounts? And the players they beat in the tournaments will continue playing alt accounts and getting rewards from being top 250 in the Leader Board and playing in AT on alt accounts?

Seriously am i missing something?

I could be wrong, but from how I interpreted it, the problem was the account sharing moreso than selling the wins. I think they were playing on accounts that didn’t belong to them, not on their own alt accounts, and so that’s why they got the permaban. (Feel free to correct me if I’m wrong though. :P)

Hopefully the custom projectiles will mean having the option to keep standard projectiles or use the legendary ones for those who like the style, aura, and footsteps of the legendaries but still want their skills to appear as they normally would.

(Speaking as an elementalist main, seeing the elemental skills all appear the same no matter what attunement it’s in is just odd and a bit boring to me, and having more options is always nice.)

I think a lot of it has to do with understanding the mechanics of what you’re up against. It’s true, using gear with more toughness and vitality will give you more time to react to your enemy, but it also means that it takes longer to finish them off. This is a good way to take time to learn the mechanics of enemies that you struggle with, along with taking traits and utility skills aimed more toward survival, though. Then you can ease your way into more offensive builds once you’re comfortable fighting whatever you’re up against.

Wow, nice job making top ten with something that isn’t your main. I’ve tried condition thief a few times and even though it’s strong I just play a lot worse on anything that isn’t ele or engi. :P Kudos!

If you join an empty custom arena then you can explore them freely.

I queued up for ranked once… It was awful.

Yup, your rank is based on your active rating including decay, so if you’ve decayed to 1,100 rating then that’s also where you stand on the leaderboard until you play enough to lose the decay.

I pick names that sound good to me mostly (Motsuri, Sotsuki, Scatty Cat, etc.) Sometimes I make them the names of characters from stories that I wrote (Master Zie, Mana Gansaku), or names that mean one thing but sound like something else (Coy Oni – sounds like coyote but is a combination of the English word ‘coy,’ and the Japanese ‘oni.’)

I like to be a little creative with my character names but sometimes I get lazy and reuse variations of old names lol.

Bad attitudes and people getting away with the worst behavior drove me to cut my PvP time way down. There’s no point if every game is rigged with afkers, ragequitters, and cheaters.

I think you might really enjoy playing as an elementalist if you give it a fair try. They can be incredibly durable, supportive and deal great AOE damage with the right gear and traits. It takes some getting used to, but once you get the hang of your attunements it is really great. ^^

Ele is my main so I’m a little biased though lol.

I like the Aureen hat because I think it’s kind of cute, but I understand if most people don’t like it and are disappointed that there aren’t more things that they like.

In my opinion, as long as there’s a good balance of cool/fantasy items then it’s ok to add a few cute/silly items to give us the ability to create a variety of appearances for our characters. I like to have some elegant characters, some barbaric characters, some natural characters, as well as cute/silly characters. If they only made silly items from here out, the game would feel starved of anything different, though, so it’s all relative.

Maybe if they were cuter. I sometimes use the kitty hat but the shape is a little odd and makes my character seem like it’s wearing a cat bucket on its head lol. :P

This is subjective. I enjoy my black llama with it’s mustache. They could always add more than just llamas and I won’t complain though.

1. Go into wvw, join a squad, and either afk in a tower or follow the leader to cap stuff and get participation rewards.

2. Go into hotjoin in pvp and join the winning team to get easy pvp dailies.

It seems like it’s just a custom arena where you can organize 2v2’s, and it won’t be included in ranked/unranked or have a queue.

I think they just did that because it’s easier than trying to make a more noticeable animation/effect for the skills (for headbutt at least). It makes these skills seem so clunky and awkward though…

The super cloud glider is my favorite.

I think it’s a tie between humans and the grawl for me.

If he wasn’t jumping on your body and throwing inflammatory remarks at you then he probably didn’t mean to “lord it over you.” He might have just been organizing his loot and thought that since all 4 of you were dead, it would be faster and more convenient for you guys to just respawn a few meters back and then run back to get your loot.

If there was some confusion, then you could ask him to revive you and if he doesn’t see the chat then just respawn. It’s not healthy to assume that everyone is purposefully being toxic; sometimes it’s just a miscommunication.

The only way to find out if someone is skilled or not is to fight them. Never judge a book by its cover. :P

Berserker, Daredevil, and Dragonhunter.

(But if there is no ele on your team and you already have a berserker, daredevil, and dragonhunter, then support ele can be better in those situations.)

Use lfg and look under the dragon’s stand tab to see if there are any squads advertising. If the meta is being done, groups will usually advertise it in lfg, and then you can join them from there. Good luck!

Omg don’t do it. I’m sure it works the same way as with precursor weapons where it replaces the precursor with the new ascended armor piece, and so it will not work as a precursor anymore. You could contact support to get it replaced if you already did it but if not then don’t do it.

If they did that then EVERYONE would play thief/guard/warrior lol. They would have to completely rework all of the other professions to make them remotely viable in a zerk-only, no survival meta. Either that or severely rework/tone everything down to being on the same level as zerk ele/engi/ranger.

I wouldn’t care either way, since a full zerk meta would be equally as exciting as a full tank meta, full condi meta or full healer meta, but many of the professions just aren’t set up to be bursty 1 v 1 masters like thieves, guardians, and warriors, so it would just take a lot of extra work to rebalance everything to suit a 100% first-to-burst-wins game.

I think instead of a poll they should just roll out a huge patch to fix everything all at once:

• link each account to a phone number or require rank 80+ to play in the ranked season to prevent smurfing.
• separate leaderboards with solo ONLY in one and team only in the other.
• profession locking with removal of class stacking all at once.

And if they could add new game modes as well then that would be great lol. Idk, going through the trouble of polling people about one tiny fix that could potentially lead to bigger fixes in the distant future just seems like a waste. They should just get it over with or admit that the game mode is as good as done for.

In B4: the PvP population isn’t big enough to support these changes.

Elementalist is my favorite, but that shouldn’t affect your decision any. Just follow your own feelings, even if it might seem suboptimal. It’s all about having fun anyways.

Crucible of eternity is my favorite, and I still enjoy dungeons but finding a group is exceedingly difficult. Hardly anyone bothers with them anymore, it seems.

There’s quite a lot of raiders who don’t care the armor, but instead want challenging content. It’s their way of having fun.
To me, farming silverwastes over and over is much worse than doing raids, and less thrilling, but to each their own

They’re both equally exciting to me along with paying taxes, but that’s not really the point. Sure, some people may really enjoy these things, but to lure more people who don’t enjoy these things into still doing them takes a huge carrot.

Anet wants more people to raid, so they’re trying to appeal to the people who want the armor. It’s not likely that they’ll link it to anything else unless their focus shifts away from raids though.

Season 6 was the first season i played ZERO Ranked matches. I play PvP predominantly for fun and partly for the fast reward track progression. Apart from the super easy ascended gear in Season 5 i didnt really enjoy ranked that much (mostly due to match making related and AFK’er etc). So when ANET reduced the rewards i decided to just chill and play unranked occasionally and spend the majority of my time in WvW where i actually really enjoy roaming and duelling.

Its a pity because i really liked the excitement and challenge of pvp before leagues were introduced and when the majority of pvp players played for the fun of it.

This will probably be what I’ll do next season if no drastic changes are made. It’s a game after all, and if it’s not fun then there’s no reason to play.

Maybe they could make it available to replace any llama in the mystic forge or something lol. Just to make some sort of use for extra title scrolls.

I hope it’s 120. This season has been such a pita.

Lol, if all the characters had the same voice and personality it would be boring. With variety comes things you don’t like as well as things you do. It makes us appreciate the characters we do like even more.
