On the contrary we actually lost an event. Some of you may remember the Lunatic Inquisition game we used to have for Halloween, where some players would be ghosts and you’d have to chase down and kill the enemy team of villagers. If all villagers died ghosts won, any villagers that lived the whole time would win though. It was my favorite mini game in GW but tragically they seem to have discontinued it. =(

Gonna add my vote to this as it’s something I’d love to see added, even at a really high cost, and would be a great way to celebrate helpful members or memorialize those who have moved on but had a big impact.

I would think that reviewing logs of the behavior mentioned would only show siege being built, walls being repaired, and tactics pulled. Differentiating a level of each that would cross a line of ‘way too much’ might be hard to determine as troll or helpful.

Of course, those of us that play the mode can tell a troll from someone who is just clueless…

But to ask a third party who isn’t witnessing it live, or has a verifiable chat line that details their intent, it would be hard to expect them to get it right.

And while you respect your server leadership, and many are very good, the
Potential for abuse is too high.

As long as there are multiple reports and actual evidence I think Anet shouldn’t have any problems figuring out the trolls but yah sometimes new players will make mistakes and accidentally do things trying to be helpful and that is completely understandable, feel like we’ve all been there once lol.

WvW is all about warfare, and that includes spies and sabotage. Every war ever fought anywhere has spies and saboteurs, it goes with the territory. Unless someone is breaking a written rule I can’t see how any of this is a problem besides an inconvenience to the side it’s happening too. It’s war son, deal with it.

Because in a real war any spy or traitor that gets discovered, as a good many of the ones plaguing us do, is promptly executed~ ^^

I agree with people on that point, I just think reports need to be taken more seriously and dealt with quicker though I understand Anet isn’t perfect and can’t handle everything, but something is very much wish for since WvW is my main mode of choice and these types of players make it very tiring.

And you’d look a little silly because that would in no way solve the OP’s described problem lol. Blocking someone doesn’t stop them from pulling your keeps tactivators, wasting all your supply, or spying on your server and reporting everywhere your tag goes back to their own Zerg so they can be waiting for you every time you go to take one of their objectives.
That said do I think we necessarily need a kick from server function? No as I agree it could be abused. I do however think more attention should be given to reports made and punishment be quicker and harsher for those who do such things. As someone who cares about defending and works hard to tier up objectives I can say it’s one thing when a Zerg outplays you and takes it from you, it’s another when you worked for hours to get it tiered up and a troll or spy pulls all your tactivators, wastes all your supply, and siege caps you with worthless siege and then suddenly the enemy Zerg appears as all of this happens. While I disagree on the solution, I can understand the OP’s frustration here.

Hi all, quick question for everyone. Is it still taking a long time for ppl to recieve the 4k gems that you get from pre-ordering the PoF Ultimate edition? The reason I ask it because I was originally going to wait a little longer before I ordered it bc of some rl things, but discovered today character slots were going on sale this Saturday, and decided i’d go ahead and get it now so i’d have the gems to buy a couple more slots but i’ve heard a lot of people are still having delays. Does anyone know how long this might take? I just really don’t wanna miss the character slot sale

One streamer said there are some npcs where you can unlock elite spec… I hope there’s lots of quests to do, and I hope you CAN’T use hero points from Tyria/Maguma/WvW because that would suck (aka instaunlock)

Why shouldn’t you be able to use Hero Points from WvW? The main reason I was able to get many of the elite specs I have from HOT are because they added the proof of heroics that let me get them while playing the game mode I wanted to. I greatly support the lore and love reading it, and I was very excited to see how much of the new specs are tied to it, but I don’t think you should revert the system of WvW tokens letting people unlock it as many WvW players are not big fans of pve and shouldn’t be forced into it just to unlock their new spec in my opinion.

I don’t know about the rest but I believe since HOT is sold separately and not required for the new expac you shouldn’t need to unlock it before the new one.

I can go on, but wathever. Mount people seem to be one minded ‘mounts is good, and people that don’t like them have no place here or elsewhere’. I guess it’s easy for them to say.

I’ve been pretty set against mounts ever since I first saw the request thread with so many ppl asking, and I’ve posted before saying I disagree with them being added, mainly because I didn’t want to see giant pink horns riding unicorns or death knights riding flaming skeletal horses in this game. I support Anets addition of mounts because that isn’t what this is. It tues in well with the new zone and offers a new mechanic. This addition is nowhere near immersion breaking for me as seeing a giant pink norm with a handlebar mustache and the moot go running by, and has honestly got me excited for them enough to say that I was wrong, there is a good way to add mounts to this game.

As for one mindedness, honestly I see that on both sides of this argument, and every argument on forums for that matter, because there will always be those who disagree with something and think their way is the only way, this is true for those who want mounts, and those that don’t.

I support them being buyable through badges or even by selling through the TP. I wouldn’t mind paying a couple gold for a stack every so often when I feel like making a new character, and it could be helpful to but for friends who may not have enough time to play and don’t want to spend it leveling.

Actually there already are. I personally have already ported over 70 people up through all the checkpoints by parking 5 of my mesmers there, and I’ve seen 2 other mesmers/ guilds doing the same thing. Based on what i’ve seen thus far none of us have charged any fee either, so I guess its just about who gets lucky enough to be on when a willing mesmer appears lol.

I prefer the charr version personally, I could do some amazing fashion things with that….

So tell me, how does one acquire said infusion? Because I have a very dire need

So first off wanna start by saying I love the way previewing was improved in the new gemstore format today, and appreciate it as a quality of life improvement. I was wondering if perhaps we could now get a small one for the wardrobe? I don’t know what the difficulties or problems behind this are, but I would absolutely love it if we could finally dual wield weapons in the wardrobe preview and if we could preview how effects like the Ghostly Infusion or the Poly Luminescent Infusions would look on our characters. Its a small little thing I ask for in the pursuit of fashion wars but if it is possible I would greatly appreciate you giving it some thought. <3

Hm I couldn’t seem to find any forums for JQ, so they may not have a server forums. In that case individual guilds may have their own forums. That aside if you would prefer you could run around in WvW for a while and see who the more active guilds are and join their TS/Discord to help you figure out where to go and who to talk to regarding more information.

If you don’t mind my askin what server are you on? I know many servers have their own personal websites they upkeep but I’m unsure if all of the servers have one.

Gonna start by saying no, this is not a big deal in fact its a very small detail but I care about it enough I thought it worth bringing up and if anything could be done to remedy it, I would be very much appreciative. The Potion of Ascalonian Mages is something I’ve always loved primarily because its always been directly tied to one of the events I used to lead in our guild in WvW. Our guild would all hop on our mesmers, don the potion, and turn ourselves into a ghostly army. With this we would all look the same and even our illusions all looked exactly the same and sure we’d get wiped against a lot of organized groups but that didn’t stop up from having fun and wreaking havoc across the map. A few weeks back this potion was changed however, so that it no longer worked in combat which I was crushed by, but a little while after it was re-enabled only with one big difference. Now as a mesmer if you are using this tonic, phantasms function normally but clones no longer spawn which really hurts. I was curious if this is the same for the other combat tonics and tried the Kodan one, but clones spawned just fine with it. If theres any way you could repair this Anet so mesmers can spawn clones again like the other combat tonics I would really appreciate it, as its an event our guild loved to do and gave us a lot of fun and laughs.

Also this is more of a question than a request but why do combat tonics disable the users ability to get on siege? The only siege I could man as a Kodan was a golem so I was curious.

And before anyone brings up the valid point of “if the kodan tonic works, why not just use it?” I’d like to go ahead and clarify. One reason is the Ascalonian Mage potion can be easily bought from the TP and doesn’t require going to the bitterfrost frontier to complete the heart and buy the potion with karma which yes, I know isn’t that hard, but theres always going to be a few people who arrive the night of without it and we also try to include anyone on the map with us who’d like to hop on a mesmer and join in our fun, so this lets us be more inclusive. In addition as a Kodan while your clones look the same, your phantasms are see through like normal, while on the Mage potion its harder to discern the difference which makes them better overall and finally……they just look cooler in my opinion which is childish but I like what I like. ^^"

I don’t to much mind the way things are now, and WvW is still my favorite game mode, but if I had to pick something it would be the oh so sneaky Mesmer ports. For the longest time every time we’d be on the verge of losing a keep or SM or the enemy was preparing to take back one of theirs, even if our server didn’t hold it I would sprint there in an effort to get inside and hide to port in my Zerg later and it was pretty much the main thing I did. Don’t get me wrong this isn’t totally dead, and I still do it from time to time whenever a server opens up another ones keep if a push fails I run off to hide, just really hard to do it right after a flip now because of the revealed and it becomes less about hiding and more about how long you can avoid the Zerg, bc the moment they realize your a Mesmer, they’ll all come for you lol. That bit of personal taste aside though WvW is still pretty enjoyable.

When I first saw this I’ll admit I did a little eye roll because I assumed it was another complaint about medium armor skins. I would’ve honestly preferred that honestly, as after reading this I went to check out the new stuff and just…ugh. Of the very few complaints I might make about gw2, as it is indeed an amazing game, outfits are indeed one of them. Don’t get me wrong there are some decent ones, but overall I hate the system as it seems each outfit has good qualities and bad qualities to my personal taste and I see pieces I’d love to mix with other skins but I can’t and I find it such an utter waste. Looking at this newest outfit, I simply can’t fathom how they decided to stop making actually good armor sets (looking at you primeval) and instead focus on making outfits now that to me personally are cringe worthy. I don’t mind outfits existing, but I don’t think they should ALL be outfits and while I would have gladly purchased many of them as armor sets to further my pursuit of fashion wars, I just can’t enjoy an outfit that much or think of it as a part of fashion wars since there’s so little I can do with it. =/

Second I’ve honestly never thought about it, but I can definitely see your point and agree that its a shame that such a common eye color isn’t already included, and that the only way to get it is to buy a total makeover kit. I’ve bought a kit before just to change eye color myself honestly, but that was for one of the more unique shades and I can totally understand why you’d want a simple color like that to be included, especially considering what a small detail it is to pretty much anyone but yourself when making your character.

I used to think PvD is useful only if your zerg is large enough (20+) and you are attacking a normal gate or reinforced gate, but not a T3 Fortified gate.

I was running around with Mag the other day and with around 20+ men, they PvD the enemy’s T3 Fortified EBG keep (both doors, inner and outer) and got in without the use of any siege, all the while under enemies’ AC and AOE fire =/

That’s one thing I hate about outfits as I love to be able to mix and match and create my own looks but every outfit seems to have 1-2 pieces I like and 1-2 I’d hate and while I’d gladly pay money to buy them as a skin set I just can’t justify buying the outfit since I know I’ll never use it. Hopefully like you mentioned with the shoulders Anet will start giving out more skins instead.

Northern Shicerpeaks has a very nice, welcoming community and it’s one of the things the server seems to be generally know for. Currently not in our best matchup since we’re fighting Mag but we normally have a pretty fun time and welcome you to join in and give us a shot~ ^^

Both are bottlenecks to non-jumpers finishing the JP achievement. Spekk’s is harder to navigate, because of the timing, whereas Goemm’s can be done slow & steady. So if you’re only going to place one, I’d recommend Spekk’s.

So assuming everyone agrees Spekks would be the best fit then?

Nothing wrong it’s being an altoholic. I personally have 32 characters at the moment, and due to some recent events that’s landed me some new skins I’ll likely be making numbers 33 and 34 later this week. True enough, many of my characters don’t see much attention often times, even though around 27 of them are level 80, but I still love elm and make more. The main reason I have so many is fashion wars lol, I take great pride in the look of my characters and finding a lore based name and backstory for each of them. Since I enjoy it so much I also help guiltiest design their own characters when asked, to let me have my fun and stop me from buying another slot. X3
As long as you enjoy it though, it’s certainly not a waste. It comes in handy to, as I can always switch characters when I need a new build, if I have to farm something (like winter berries recently) it goes a lot faster, and I have 7 mesmers all parked at different JP’s that I offer ports to every so often, so it’s all in good fun. ^^

Well it took me buying 50 keys, a friend buying me another 5 and then helping me harm an additional 18, and then another friend deciding to test just how terrible my luck is and buy me 25 more keys, but I finally have gotten the helm. And all it took was a little under 100 keys…..never again lol.

Like the above said there’s a lot of great advice here but one of the best things you can do is find a casual guild to help you along. This will hopefully give you other more experienced players who can answer your questions and help guide you through the early stages of the game. Once you become more familiar with it you might also enjoy expanding out to do other content like fractals/raids, pvp, or WvW and your guildies can help point you in the right direction. =)

More just a quick question out of curiosity than actual need of help lol. To those of you who have gotten the new Zaishen Helm skin, how many tries did it take you? I’ve gone through 50 BL keys for the express reason of getting the helm and have been unsuccessful so it looks like its just not meant to be for me, but a friend of mine got it his first 5 lol. Just curious to see how many tries it took other people ;w;"

And thats a mistake on my part, I wasn’t sure of the appropriate names right off hand but I went back and edited the original post to include what I hope are all the proper names.

After going all the way through Draconis Mons and not using a teleport to friend this time I feel like it would take a lot of doing. Someone else I met said they managed to do it with 4 mesmers though, however I’m not entirely sure of the spots they parked them at to do so. If anyone has any ideas for where that’d be awesome lol

Hm at the moment I’m trying to run some tests on the Draconis Mons JP from the new map as it seems a popular choice though may be rather difficult to accomplish given the range. May end up moving one or two of my other mesmers there if I have to see if I could do it with multiple ports but there’s a lot of testing to be done there (and I imagine I’m not the only one tryouts no wonder maybe someone will figure out a way soon).

I think someone mentioned the Ember Bay JP to me a while back but said you’d need multiple mesmers for that? Anyone able to correct or clarify on that for me?

Just a quick question for you all, what jumping puzzles would you say are the bests for mesmer portals? I already have Mesmers parked at Not So Secret, Southsun, Dreamdark Enclave, and Sharkmaw Caverns and I have one more mesmer to park at one. I don’t really use them for pve so I just leave them there to help people out so what are your suggestions for one to park my last mesmer at?

To clarify since I seem to have gotten the names wrong, apparently Dreamdark Enclave is called Dark Reverie and Southsun is actually named Skipping Stones so those are both covered. Apologies for the confusion ^^"
