This has been a problem since launch. Many have complained. There is absolutely no reason that wvw armor/weapons should not be salvageable/forgeable. Yet they continue to ignore.

I am in a guild that currently raids 7+ hours a day. As you can imagine, we go through a large number of superior siege blueprints in that time. Around 200 sup rams, 50 sup catapults, 50 sup ACs, and maybe a few trebs, golems and ballistas.
In order to create 1 single superior siege blueprint, you must:
Go to siege, vendor, click 2 times to buy a regular blueprint.
Go to Miyani, click 2 times to buy a Siege Master’s Guide.
Go to Mystic forge, click 2 times on regular siege blueprint, 2 times on mithril ore, 2 times on elder wood logs, 2 times on Siege master’s guide, and 1 more time to accept.
This is a total of 13 times per superior siege blueprint, not including clicking to remove items from bank and using waypoints and interacting with NPCs.
On a typical night I have clicked over 4000 times in 40 minutes to create the siege my guild needs.
This isn’t just a convenience issue, this is a health issue.
We have been asking for years for a fix to this issue. If this isn’t fixed in HoT or before, not only will I be severely disappointed that a simple fix – adding recipes to crafting stations – has not been implemented, I may even risk injury because of it.

Nailed pretty much everything. Even with guild halls, they made the fighting arena too small for gvgs.
WvW is the only thing that has kept me playing past the 1 year mark, and really the only end-game content. Anet’s stance on the game mode, especially after Mike O’Brien’s comments, are really disheartening.

Now we get to hear from the so called GvG guilds that don’t really do WvW or rally but they do seem to enjoy transferring to heavily populated servers.
At least HoT will fix that part of population and FULL status issues.
HOPE disbanded over a year ago. My point was that I prefer to play wvw for fights. I pugmand about 4 nights a week.

Everything about this thread and people who posted here is related to PPT. Thats your problem and not mine because I am from mag and we don’t care that much about PPT.
We don’t want cancerous PPT servers dropping down to T3 so I hope ANET fixes your problem for you.
It’s really not about ppt; look at my signature.
It’s about FA and YB having 2 map queues running around while we can barely get 30 on float tag in anything but OCX. We can’t recruit anyone to our server since our server is full. You can’t fight map blobs with 30 pugs, especially not in this meta. And after one wipe 30% of the pugs rage quit. The only reason that we aren’t dropping down to tier 3 faster is because FA and YB enjoy fighting each other, thankfully.

Yeah, the fact that the server is “full” whilst having the lowest WvW population in Tier 2 speaks volumes to the poor method of calculating server population, especially now with the mega servers in PvE. Our massive PvE guilds are capping the server while contributing nothing to our WvW population.

My biggest problem with the change to consume conditions is that they nerfed the only heal skill without buffing any of the other heal skills. Everyone uses CC because the other heal skills are complete garbage. Everyone will still run CC after the patch because the other heal skills simply aren’t viable. Not to mention that CC is the only skill necromancers have that can reliably remove lots of conditions.

The real issue here is that this change will destroy servers with poor off-hours coverage.
Previously servers with poor off-hours coverage would lose all their t3 structures during the night, but at least they would be paper in the morning since no one on the enemy server would bother to pay for upgrades.
Now, all those structures will upgrade automatically, meaning a losing server will log into wvw and all their structures will be tier 3 enemy controlled.
This change will only aggravate the population imbalance problem to the point that it will break wvw for some servers.

If they want to call accessing your bank through the registrar a bug, fine. But put a bank somewhere in wvw. It’s unacceptable that you have to leave wvw to access your bank. Especially if there is a queue.

Recently you took away the ability to access personal bank through the guild registrar. This means that now, on every map except the home borderland, you cannot access your bank until you have a fully upgraded keep. This is absolutely rediculous. Please fix this.

I think it is a good addition to wvw and needed to counter to power creep with siege masteries. It could probably use a bit of balancing. Perhaps an area cooldown effect similar to local siege cap but with time duration to reduce the ease at which siege traps can be chained one after the other?

Dodge roll has a healing power coefficient of 1, which is pretty strong when investing in healing power. However, even if you wanted to invest in healing power, I would suggest zealots over clerics.
As mentioned above, coordinated water fields + blasts are far more effective.

I approve. However the necro bomb rotation is incorrect. Necros should place wells then go into deathshroud for +50% crit chance and use ds 5 then 4.

For NA it used to be tier 2, however many guilds have recently disbanded or moved to tier 1. The NA GvG scene is pretty kittened right now.

Arenanet outsourced their forum moderation. The only forum that actually gets read by developers is the pvp forum. Probably something to do with the fact that it takes them a year to make a balance patch.

The cost of the commander tags is completely disproportionate with the typical income for wvw players.
Either commander tags have to be available to wvw players for a reduced cost, supplemented with badges (eg. 150g + 10000 badges), or rewards have to be greatly increased to compensate. Preferably both.
The current price is a total slap in the face to wvw players.

Not 100% sure, but I think if the golems are manned then they don’t count towards map siege cap.

Absolutely ridiculously expensive. They can only justify this if they greatly increase the rewards for wvw. Right now it’s pretty much a gold neutral endeavor (most gold people make they reinvest into siege/upgrades/food/ascended gear).
WvW rank up chests should contain at least 1g instead of 15-20 silver.
WvW rank up chests should containt at least 1 rare.
Both of these are legit since they are comparable rewards to pve.
Objective captures should scale gold reward with upgrade level. Eg. capture of a fully upgraded keep should give at least 1g.

Are the negative modifier also capped at 100%?
I believe the resulting +/- duration is capped at +/-100%, but anything before that still counts. For example, if you have +133% duration and your foe has -100% duration, the result is +33% duration. However if you have +133% and your foe has no condi reduction, you will only hit +100% duration. Similarly, if the resulting duration is greater than -100%, the resulting condi duration will be 0 seconds.

We are very excited to announce the wvw feature patch. To begin with, we felt that the applied fortitude buff was too strong for some classes. Therefore, we have renamed it to Rambo mode and it will only be available to warriors. Secondly, we were unstatisfied with the selection of the color and size of the commander tag. Therefore we will be change the color to green and reducing it’s size by 85%. Finally, we felt that the desire to form massive groups or “blobs” is too strong. Therefore we are doubling the damage of superior arrow carts, and every tower will now start with 10 superior arrow carts!
We hope you are as excited about these updates as we are. We will continue to ignore the GvG community because that is a violation of the game mode.

You really shouldn’t run them in organized large group. They can fit in 20v20 as gank with their condi pressure or as a single target nuke with Rifle SD builds but realistically that only works if the enemy is already preoccupied and isnt boon sponging. Would be nice if engies had a boon strip or conversion outside of elixirs and mine…but that’s not going to happen any time soon.
Lot’s of guilds run engis in 20v20 as frontline w/ bombs. Never heard of any in a gank.

Never, ever go flamethrower unless you wanna die to retal.
Sounds like bad player/build tbh since the same retal problem occurs with grenades.
Both have problems with retal, however significantly more so with flamethrower because the 1 skill procs more retal (up to 50 procs) and you have to be much closer (425 range vs 1500), meaning you will probably be taking more damage from other sources as well. Also if you’re running flamethrower you’ll want to take deadly mixture, so you probably won’t have backpack regenerator like you would with grenades.

Then this point system is even more flawed, as it would greatly favor the server with more players on.
server A 100 *100/500 = 20 ppt
Server B 500 * 500/500 = 500 ppt
Server C 100 * 100/500 = 20 ppt
This would make population differences insanely dramatic for ppt. Dividing by populations however would make population differences far less dramatic, since each point garnered by the weaker server essentially counts for more. However the population would have to be averaged over time lest the exploit mentioned above be abused.
