Sometime today, every single The Colossus (precursor to The Juggernaut) was purchased off the trading post. I really hope this wasn’t a single person who’s intention was to manipulate the market. Buy order has already risen about 100g.

There should be 2 effects.
1) Death penalty that stacks so that you have a limited number of times you can banner (can still be used strategically but cannot be spammed). At max stacks the lord cannot be bannered but can still be resed manually. DP decreases over time if lord does not die. Resets completely if the keep is not contested for 3min.
2) Capture progress should not reset when lord is bannered -or- scale resets in accordance with how much DP the lord has accumulated. If the lord has max DP then the capture progress is only reset if the lord is manually resed and the DP stacks reset when keep is not contested for 3min.

Not my idea, props to Jaruselka for mentioning it in the armor repairs thread. I thought this idea was good enough to deserve it’s own thread.
I think [Outnumbered] should negate [Righteous Indigation]: that way the zerg blob will have to actively guard what they take since the buff allows the other side to reclaim structures immediately. The more they take, the more resources they have to expend to keep it.
How about making Outnumbered stack, like bloodlust?
If you are outnumbered in:
1BL: +25% xp, wxp, mf, no repair
2BL: +50% xp, wxp, mf, no repair
3BL: +50%, no repair and immune to effects of RI
That way you can’t just stack Home BL and EBG. You need to be outnumbered on 3 maps to gain immunity to RI effects.
This would make the Outnumbered buff actually useful for servers that are outnumbered. Although it wouldn’t make a huge difference in ppt for lower coverage servers, it would help a little.
Anyone see a downside to doing this?

Torment
Currently there are several skills and traits that remove conditions upon usage or upon being triggered. For example, thief skills Hide in Shadows and the trait Pain response remove burning, poison, and bleeding. I take thieves as the main example, however most classes have similar skills.
What is the problem? None of these skills remove torment. Because torment was added much later in the game, none of these traits or skills were rebalanced to take into account a fourth degenerative condition.
Traits granting stability
There are several traits that grant stability upon some sort of trigger. Of these skills, only the warrior’s skill Last Stand actually prevents the cc from hitting. There are many of traits that trigger a utility skill that would normally break stun that do not work when triggered by a trait.
The elementalist skill Earth’s Embrace for example. It triggers at 50% hp. Because elementalists have such low hp, if you get stunned at 55% hp and this trait triggers, it might as well not even be there since you’re probably dead anyway.
There are several traits that have a similar function that I think should be rebalanced. Necromancer Grand Master trait Foot in the Grave is another example. The stability is such a short duration and doesn’t break stun. Overall it’s a pretty useless skill compared to Deathly Perception.
TLDR: Reblance skills that remove burning, poison and bleeding to include torment. Redo traits that grant stability to also break/prevent stun.

I agree this does seem like a broken mechanic and I don’t think it’s intentional, since if you blink you drop the bundle. Side question: can you portal the orb in spiritwatch? If not the same restriction (programming-wise) should be applied to the repair bundle in khylo.

The queue was most likely there before said GvG. Unfortunately because Anet does not support GvG, there are often limited places to fight. In Tier 2 on NA, we often have queues for obsidian sanctum because there are multiple gvgs occuring at the same time.
That being said, although I agree with you that it’s frustrating for you, it’s equally frustrating for them to not have a proper arena. Reporting them would be similar to reporting people for being in the jumping puzzle. Everyone plays how they want and no one is breaking the rules.
On the other hand, you can be thankful that you don’t have to fight the groups that were GvGing.

Well how could it be NA reset, when people from EU can transfer to NA?
Wouldn’t it make more sense to have it at the earliest reset when there are multiple?

*Prices will be based on rankings at the start of the tournament, March 28.
As a part of these changes, we will also implement new restrictions to WvW access after transferring worlds. These restrictions will go into effect on March 28.
Where exactly does it say that there will be a window between the start of the tournament and 12:01am on March 28th that you can transfer for 1400 gems and not get locked out of wvw for 1week + remainder of matchup?
The most direct interpretation of the text is that restrictions start on march 28th at 12:01 am, and that prices will go into effect at the beginning of tournament (wvw reset time, 6pm server) on march 28th.
What really happened is that pricing went into effect at EU reset time, whereas restrictions went into effect at NA reset time.
So yes, I can read, and no it was not explicitly stated at what time of day either the pricing or the restrictions would go into effect.

Most people thought the new transfer restrictions and prices were going to come into effect at reset today; the start of season 2. So my guild transferred mostly on Wednesday to avoid the ~2 week lockout.
GG wasted 1000 gems, since the new transfer prices took effect this morning sometime.
The lack of PR and clarifications for wvw, especially related to the start of seasons, is a little upsetting to say the least.

The recent hotfix seems to have fixed the disconnect issues in eternal battlegrounds. The lag seems to be much better now that the LA event is over (i think the overflows were eating into the resources allocated for wvw).
1. Skill lag and rubber-banding will be present in large engagements between two servers (30v30) or when 3 servers meet even with smaller numbers (20v20v20).
2. FA. Pretty much any of the top 9 servers will experience skill lag.
3-4. Usually when individuals experience lag that others don’t, it’s assumed to be a local problem and not a server problem.
Another interesting thing that was pointed out to me earlier last week is that it seems the servers rotate ‘priorities’ for skill usage. All servers will experience skill lag simultaneously, but it seems like 1 server at a time will be suddenly able to input commands while another server still cannot (eg. channel meteor shower). When this happens everyone yells “Priority” and spams as many skills as they can. It then seems to go away and the other server can suddenly use skills when all you can do is spam 1. And this will continue until the battle is over.
Once the battle is over, and the skill lag starts to clear up, it is followed with an intense period of Super speed, where your attack speed is effectively doubled, and trebuchets fire like machine guns. Hilarious, but broken. Everyone on every server experiences this following periods of intense skill lag. Lasts anywhere from several seconds to a couple minutes, depending on the severity of the preceding skill lag.

With the announcement of the new wardrobe system, many of who are close to making a legendary are very excited about this change.
However we’re also wondering about the plans to add new legendaries to the game. Is this something we can expect with the April patch, or is not going to be added until a later date?

IMO each tier upgrade of a keep/tower should make BOTH walls and doors stronger. They don’t even have to change the in game graphics to make this happen.
I like this idea the best. Upgrade one would be in between paper and reinforced. Upgrade 2 would be reinforced. Upgrade 3 would be fortified. The rate at which 4 sup rams can take out a paper or even reinforced gate is ridiculous.

The only one that really excited me is the condi removal on survival skills for ranger. More active condi removal is something rangers really need, especially in wvw.

There really isn’t a good reason against tomes for badges. Something like 250 badges and 20 silver for a tome. Seems fair to me.

Poultry and leek soup (especially if you are frontline). Usually sharpening stones since power scales better than precision. Use the condi ones if you are intent on a condi build (with koi cakes for +40% condi duration) or use the mantenance oil if your gear has high power and crit damage but not much precision (eg. an ele with mostly soldiers and cavalier gear).

I missed out on coverting glory to gold with the wintersday gifts because I thought they would give us something better to spend our glory on.
With glory removal pending, I converted all my glory and crafting mats to unid dyes, getting mostly blue dyes and and selling them for 1.5silver.
Now, blue dyes spike to 20 silver for the cheapest ones….FML

Nobody on FA wants to be in silver. The only reason we dropped down is because we have literally no OCX.
Every single commander was ppting like crazy the last 2 weeks to avoid dropping down. I personally was commanding until 3am to avoid this. Nothing we can do in coverage wars.

There have been many questions and with leagues around the corner, none of them have been answered. Please can we get some dev communication in this forum?
1) Were leagues decided on Mar 14th or will they be decided on Mar 28th?
2) Are league matchups permanent and function like in season 1 (ie will winners of silver fight winners of gold)? Otherwise gold league with only 6 servers cannot follow swiss-style tournament since there are only two 1st place servers.
3) Will win rewards be weekly, or be decided only at the end of the tournament?
4) Will account bound wxp be implemented before leagues start since there will be no more point resets? You can understand this will have a large impact on how I decide to spend my points when leagues start.

I was under the impression that leagues were going to be determined on Mar 28 when season actually started. Many seem to be under the impression they were determined on Mar 14th when the new transfer prices were set.

They have already said.
Apparently, its really hard to do from a technical point of view. It was designed from day 1 to be soulbound and changing it to account bound would cause technical difficulties that are very, very hard to overcome. They said they would continue to work on it but can’t provide a ETA…
Many things that were soulbound have been changed to account bound. World event reward chests and fractal levels are 2 examples off the top of my head.
When eotm was released they said they were very close to account bound wxp, just fixing a few bugs. In the months since they haven’t been able to fix a couple bugs? I find this whole thing very difficult to swallow.

Account wide WXP was “almost ready” for the January patch, so I have no clue why it cant be ready 3 months later? Maybe they should get their priorities straight.
This basically sums up my feelings. Unless a dev steps in here and proves otherwise, I’m just going assume they haven’t actually done a thing for account wxp.

No ele does more damage over time while necro is more spike damage.
The only time ele really spikes is dropping meteor shower. Most of the aoe damage skills (number 2 skills) are on short cooldowns.
Necros have wells that come up every 30-40 seconds that have really short casting times. Very good for spike damage on bombs.
For melee warriors do best damage because of their high health pool they can have high armor health and damage all at the same time. Compared to guardians that need to run full pvt to be on the same toughness level as warriors.
