I’m inclined to agree. I was trying to convince a friend to purchase the game. Now I’m just going to tell him to hold off for a while, and see if they rollback the new leveling system.
What really gets me is that pre-existing low level characters got their skills locked. If I were a new player, and the utility/weapon skill/ultimate skill I just unlocked the other day were to suddenly become locked again, I would be furious.
As a veteran player, I would like to thank Anet for helping me to finally get rid of my desire to play alts. With the new and improved heavily gated leveling system, there is no reason whatsoever to try and suffer a new character. I no longer have to waste time on frivolous things like trying new classes and leveling with friends. All of my time can now be spent on my main.

I’d hold onto it. You don’t really get much money from selling it. It seems more profitable to hold onto it, and wait to see if Anet changes ascended so they can be salvaged or something.
Do we know for a fact that the change was made for political correctness? It seems to me like they just decided outnumbered sounded better. I really can’t recall the last time I heard the word outmanned.
I’d pay to have myself raised to level 81.
It looks great. I really like the 1sec Fear on the Spectral Wall. I feel that could be used for some interesting control. I imagine Terror Necros are doing backflips.
A bit more power to DS is always good. It gets a little dull just spamming 1 over and over. The new condition sounds good as well, but ultimately, I’ve no idea how useful it is until I see it in play.
I could be looking at it wrong, but I think the burn trait’s cooldown will be increased. 4sec burn every 10 seconds seems like its really easy to extend out to a persistent burn (daggers crit pretty regularly, and its at the end of Spite, so already condition duration has been extended). I could be wrong though, as I don’t know how this compares to other class’s burn abilities.
The biggest problem, however, is the health issue in DownState. Hopefully this was fixed as well. If this is fixed as well, then its a great update IMO. If not, its an ok update, but that health issue needs to be fixed ASAP.

As other people have said, go for the Temples. Costs a ton of karma, but you get a good set of armor for much cheaper than you’d get elsewhere. You can look on Dulfy’s website to get the breakdown on each piece of armor, and figure out the combo that works best for you.
Also, you may want to look at resetting your traits. Only costs like 12silver, and I found that some of my traits I’d had from earlier weren’t really doing all that much for me at 80.
As for joining guilds, I’d recommend going to http://gw2recruiting.com/
You can submit a profile with your character and info, and then list exactly what you’re looking for.
I’d also recommend just reading other guardian builds. I don’t find it much fun to copy/paste a build, but looking at what other people are doing can give you a better idea of how to play your class.
Bunch of small things. You can deposit crafting materials directly to the bank from your inventory. For completing Heart Quests, your reward is sent to your mail, click the button at the bottom of the letter to get your money. There is no player to player trading, everything is done through Black Lion Trading Company. Unlock all of your weapon skills at a low level, and play around with em to see what you like (make sure to unlock your underwater skills too). There is no “healer class,” meaning that you are the one responsible for keeping yourself alive.
There are three “currencies”. Standard money. Karma, which is rewarded for quests, and used to purchase things from Karma Vendors. And Laurels, which is used for lvl 80 Ascended gear. Crafting gets you experience, but it can be really expensive. Reviving NPCs and other players also nets you experience. There is no “competition” for resources. That is, a single resource node can be mined by everyone. XP and loot is given for participation, and you won’t lose out if more people join.
Click on the crossed swords at the top to “Enter The Mists” (PvP). From there, you can take a portal to Lion’s Arch, the central hub of GW2. Lion’s Arch also has portals to each race’s capitol city. Probably the cheapest way to travel large distances, and really useful at low levels.
Most importantly, don’t rush to level. Unlike other MMO’s, it doesn’t take a tremendous amount of time to get to 80. You really don’t need to spend any time grinding. Sure, you can join with a zerg of players and smash through content super fast and level quickly, but the game is more enjoyable to just run around with 2-4 people and do whatever looks interesting. Also, doing the daily achievement is good for money, karma, mystic coins and laurels. Have fun!

I don’t really think so. You can get the boost to MF through food, which is better IMO than sacrificing your stats.
Still, if you’ve got it, might as well use it.
This is my favorite excuse for people not to pvp. Mainly because its a load of bullkitten. On these boards you can see multiple examples of people in pve dungeons vote kicking people during dungeons and generally being kitten hats to each other in pve. A poor attitude in a video game is not exclusive to pvpers nor is it more comman.
I think if most people took the time they would find that a lot of guilds that do mainly wvw have been together for a long time and are older then most people would think. My guild and a few others on SoR have been together for over 11 years and thru multiple games, we have seen our brothers and sisters graduate, get married and have children even some of the older members have grand children.
But you choose who you run dungeons with. You don’t get to choose your enemies in WvW. Sure, a lot of battles are fun. But some people just get their jollies by having their guild sit at the Eternal Battlegrounds Jumping Puzzle. Not because they’re looking for a challenge, or a worthwhile fight. Not even because they’re trying to get loot, or conquer areas, or help their server win. They sit there because they want to tick off other players.
I know a lot of people on WvW don’t do this. And I enjoy WvW. I just enjoy PvE more because I choose who I play with.
It’s simple.
People want stuff. They say they care about fun, but really, they just want stuff. When Plinx was the most profitable, everybody did Plinx. When Dungeon X was most profitable, everybody did Dungeon X. When Fractals were most profitable, everbody did Fractals.
Right now, World Bosses are most profitable. Thus, everyone does World Bosses. And thus, the bosses are overcrowded.
People are smart. The second someplace else becomes even slightly more profitable (gain per time input) that will be the new farmed area. That will be the overcrowded area.
I’d even go as far as to say Waypoints are too cheap. Any player with at least 1G can move just about anywhere on the map with no problems, multiple times. Thus, the entirety of the max level PvE players on a server are able to attend each World Boss (which only last a very short time, for the profit they’re worth). Furthermore, any guesters can attend each and every world boss. As long as it is profitable and easy to attend each and every world boss, it’ll lag.
Aaaaaaand quaggan movies have now reached the forums.
What areas specifically is it a problem? I’m JQ, and I’ve only heard it in Lions Arch and Queensdale. LA is always laggy, and Queensdale lags due to people guesting to reach Shadow Behemoth.
If its really annoying, you could always block the people who are spamming it.
I’m a little bit confused by achievements. When I first started GW2, I saw the huge tables of various achievements, and the “score” at the top. Looking into it, I learned that it was primarily for titles and (in the case of monthlies and dailies) Wondrous Coins.
“Ok,” I thought. “That’s fine. I’ll do them when I’m bored or something. And they’re good for people who want more to do, or want an idea for a challenge.”
However, with laurels, there is now an emphasis on doing achievements. Its the only way to obtain this new currency. But why?
Wasn’t the basis of hearts and dynamic events that players wouldn’t have a “grocery list” of things to do? I mean sure, ultimately that’s what you’re doing in a video game, no matter what. But its hidden. You let yourself get caught up in the flow of the game, play for a while, then open up your inventory to see your spoils.
Don’t get me wrong. I know ultimately its my choice whether or not to pursue these things, and I’m sure its only a matter of a few patches before laurels can be obtained through other means. I guess I just don’t understand why achievements are playing a larger role in GW2, and why they’re so important to modern video games. Anyone care to explain?
They could add dueling. It’s not a matter of how complex the coding is. However, Anet stated that they would not. They have stated a few reasons for this.
1) Player cruelty. People take duels seriously. You can see a similar effect where some (few) WvW players call another server a bunch of cheaters, nightshifters, or doubleteamers. People would insult each other, ridicule, accuse others of cheating, etc. I’m pretty sure anyone can hit up google and find the ridiculous recordings on various MMO duels. Even if you could block the ability to be challenged to duels, players ridicule those who refuse to duel.
2) Balancing the meta. Classes are not balanced for 1v1 duels. If duels were enabled, players would respec for 1v1 duels, rather than group PvP or WvW. Future patches would have to account for this, and balance according to group PvP, PvE, WvW, and single PvP. In other words, a nightmare. In a straight 1v1, certain classes have advantages. For example, Mesmers can Moa someone in a duel, effectively ruining them before the match has even begun.
That’s Anet’s stance anyway. I think it could work, like it did in GW1. You had to either be in the same guild (or a guest), go to the hall, and start a 1v1 guild match (if I recall correctly, its been a while). The number of steps required to have a duel made it so that it didn’t really impact the community at large. Or it could be confined to a single place. Like, one dueling city or something.
However, straight up invite-to-duel would be bad IMO.
An Asura named Brain Hurricane.
personally I’d prefer to see legendary dyes, before legendary armor. Some dye that would turn any armor into an effect like twillight, it would be awesome. Or give any armor some sort of glow or particle effect.
This. Not obtainable from random dyes, of course. But this would be sick. We can already see that it would work, like in Juggernaught.
It probably shouldn’t give particle effects already granted by other Legendaries. But unikittenfects or appearances on the armor would be excellent.
Kaineng-esque city. Huge sprawling city with a life of its own. That place felt different from just about any other RPG setting I’ve been in. Maybe because RPGs generally occur out in the hills, rather than in a gritty-yet-fantasy city. Although they’d have to do some serious work to make all of the races fit and function within the city. Melting pot?
Also, I really like the Jade Sea and Rata Sum fractals. The feeling of being suspended in air, leaping from one floating island to the next while still fighting, is quite fun. I’d like to see a zone consisting of multiple floating isles, with strings of platforms between them, and really taking advantage of height, like a lot of the level designs do.
Finally, I wouldn’t mind some weather. Rain and snow. Probably shouldn’t be a global thing, but I think it could enhance a few zones. Snow worked out really nice visually in the Ice Elemental Fractal.
When people log in, they represent the guild with the most people online. If members of your guild are representing other guilds, then when a player signs in, he won’t represent your guild, as no one else in “online”.
This isn’t a problem in large guilds. As long as you have a couple of people representing, guild chat is active, and the guild is “lively” on a day to day basis. In smaller guilds, however, its very easy to have ghost guilds, where nearly half the guild will be online, but each person is representing a different guild.
Of course, it could also be that no one represents because that guild sucks. But generally, guilds which require representation do so because they believe that multi-guild individuals will not participate in guild chat/events/other member stuff.
Necromancer here.
I have 1 as mousewheel button, 2-5 as 2-5, ERF for 7-9, Q for healing, F1-F4 for F1-F4, shift for dodge, V for action, 1 for weapon swap, and B for Epic (seeing as its a long cooldown).
I like having the auto-attack on the mouse wheel, as I find direct clicking sometimes targets things I don’t want to target, and especially with DeathShroud, autoattack can stop without losing the target. Shift is dodge, as the timing for dodge is crucial, and I want a large key I can easily strike.
I may move F1-F4 down to Z-V, as this thread suggests. My F keys are currently the main thing that I do not like with this setup. (That and water, as right now, my swim down key is alt, which is awkward)
I have two unused mouse buttons right now. Debating setting weapon swap and dodge to these, or jump and swim down. Haven’t decided yet.
Running over to Southsun Cove, and heading to the rich Orichalcum vein is simple. Kill some Karkas and Breeze Riders for Karka Shells, Potent Blods and Venoms. Chop down ancient trees along the way. Takes about half an hour, and I usually get about 50 silver from it.
Fractals are good. Usually I range from 1-2 gold a fractal. However, you’ll definitely need to find a decent group or get in a guild for it to be time effective.
I think most people make money through the market though. Watching the prices, buying low, selling high.
Unfortunately, you cannot search for guilds in game. The best way to find a decent guild is look online at various forums (such as the guild section of these forums).
One of the better sites I’ve found is GW2 Recruiting.
http://gw2recruiting.com/
Guild Leaders can post their guild, and players can post their character, and then each can browse through the other category and message them. Its how I got into my guild.
Guilds are account bound. That is, you can join multiple guilds (4, I think?), and you are a member of those guilds on all of your characters. However, on each character, you choose which guild you are currently “representing”, or your current active guild. So yes, if you make a guild, you can represent it with all of your characters.
I have no idea if Guild Leaders can send a request to someone who is offline. I’m guessing no, but you’ll have to try it to be sure.
Mine is a bit odd, but it works well for me.
Mouse 3 (clicking the wheel) is weapon1.
1 is weapon swap.
2-5 are weapon skills 2-5
Q is heal
E,R,F are my utilities
WASD for movement
V is action key
Shift is dodge
B is Ultimate
Alt is swim down (in water)
And f keys are still class specific keys
This setup works well for me, as I can move around pretty easy, reach all of my skills without taking my hand off the mouse, and target/attack things without activating them, like clicking does. The only oddball is swim down, as its not a good placement, but I really don’t have anywhere else to stick it.
I’d recommend having dodge on your mouse though, if you have the buttons for it.
I had the same problem on a Gateway. You have to reverse it in the BIOS. You’ll have to hold the f10 key as your computer starts up.
You should be kicked over to a blue/grey screen with white text. There’s three or four categories, with options under each one. There should be one option which says something like “Function Keys” or “Action Keys”. Most likely, it is set to ENABLED. You want to set it to DISABLED. This will make it so that by default, when you press F2, the computer reads it as F2, and when you hold the Fn key and press F2, it will do the function.
It’s fairly easy to fix. However, due to how important BIOS is for the computer, be sure to take your time, read everything carefully, and only change what needs to be changed. If you’re still uncertain as to how to do this, look here:

For necros in particular, vitality also increases your pool of life force. So generally, it is better to go vitality for necros, as the benefit you get is twofold. Of course, toughness is also important.
If you plan on boosting them via traits, looking at which one has the better trait line for your class is probably the best way to go. It also depends on what you’re doing. A bit of toughness is always good for surviving burst thieves in WvW (I know, its a simple strategy to counter, but a bit of toughness ensures you can take a few blows while you get your act together).
Also, if you can easily remove conditions, then vitality is not as important. If you can’t, then it is more valuable. Likewise, toughness is more important if you spend a lot of time in melee, than it is for a ranged character.
Personally? I prefer vitality, for the afore-mentioned necro reasons. I find its best to have a bit of both, and ultimately, it depends on your build.
For 1g, I would pay about…… 1g.
Back on topic,
I don’t think I would purchase gold. It kind of defeats the purpose of the game IMO if you use RL money to get in-game currency.
Nothing wrong with getting gems though, as that isn’t the same as purchasing better stats. The expanded bank is nice.
Hurtful.
10.
They inflate supply with too many items, driving down price of various raw materials. Furthermore, all of that gold that they get from it is either being used for credit card scams, or for purchasing stuff on the TP. The wealthiest players should not be the ones with the most illegal gold purchases or the most bots.
Probably not. If they don’t want something to be seen in the game, they wouldn’t have it online. In Rata Sum, some people were teleported into a prison for reaching the ground level, but that was just kind of a fun thing (they could teleport out via waypoints).
Just expect it to be buggy.
To be fair, dungeons are aggravating. They take hours, somebody usually drops out, and I just get ticked at stupid enemies whose only tricks are an overly bloated hp pool and high attack damage. And any time you just group up with random folks, they just want to speed run past everything for the tokens. It’s one of the worst parts of the game IMO.
Ascended armor sucks, but Fractals are a ton of fun. Even repeating the same shard is still entertaining (within reason). Definitely prefer it over dungeon delving.
Too soon. They haven’t disclosed anything about expansions, other than “Yes, we’ll have them, but they aren’t on the timetable right now.”
I think they’re more focused on monthly content updates for now. Don’t hold your breath.
Yeah, I’d say Guild Wars 2 is nothing like Diablo. Diablo falls into the old Gauntlet style games, where up to four players run through rooms, killing hordes of enemies and collecting loot.
Guild Wars 2 is an MMORPG.
Out of curiosity, does this method work for cultural armor?
I think it would be interesting to see some of the cultural armor on a different race.
If you put four lvl 70-80 greens into the Mystic Forge, you have a pretty good chance at getting a yellow out of it. You can then turn around and sell that yellow on the tp or salvage it for ectos.
I know it doesn’t answer your question directly, but it certainly increases the value of greens from drops like this
(edited by Sirge.8934)
I already have near-constant swiftness with spectral walk and warhorn5. It’s cool that its getting buffed, but… 25%? Swiftness is 33%. Unless they stack, this kind of defeats the purpose of swiftness.
Maybe like 15%? Then its half of swiftness. It would provide a sizeable speed increase, but swiftness would still be useful
I understand that there are exclusive items. I’m fine with that. There are exclusive items in lots of games. But if this is GUILD WARS, then show me one hat or mini in the original GUILD WARS which was unobtainable by ANY of the current customers. Just one hat or mini. ONE.
Wish granted
http://wiki.guildwars.com/wiki/Miniature_Island_Guardian
Almost nobody in the entire game can obtain one of these.
Also, http://wiki.guildwars.com/wiki/Miniature
Available awards depend on when the character was made. In other words, a new player (past year or so) will have to wait 7 years to get a chance at some of the miniatures, despite the fact that it is an old game, and may not even be online by then.
Build for swiftness. Whatever skills you have that grant you speed, use them. It’s not like most MMO zones, where you can break combat, rest, check out your inventory, and then warp around.
And yeah, Orr will kill you. So much. I’ve just reached 80, and I’ve just started to go into Orr.
I would definitely say do it with at least a few other people. It is difficult to push most of the events to completion by yourself.
I don’t mind Southsun. Something about how desolate it is, the color scheme, and the karka, make it seem alien and forlorn. It’s peaceful, yet a little bit sad and eerie as well.
I usually go there, kill twenty-thirty karka and the wind surfer thingies (the jellyfish, don’t remember what they’re called) to get some potent bloods and potent venom sacs. Mozy on over to the nest, chop down an ancient tree or two along the way, mine a few mithril. Make my way up the ramp, mine the rich orichalcum vein, and then warp on out of there.
Usually takes about half an hour, and I get a decent amount of silver out of it, so its worthwhile IMO. Much more enjoyable scenery than forging through Orr.
I hope they do add some more content to that area though. It could use some events or a few more types of karka to spruce it up.
Here’s some tips for jumping puzzles. I’m no pro (didn’t have the opportunity to try the Halloween one), but I find these helpful.
1) If there are a lot of tight corners which mess with the camera, zoom all the way in. This reduces the amount of camera shaking that occurs.
2)Rotate the camera above so that it is above your head, looking down (unless you’re caught in a tight area, like described above). This makes it much easier to jump, as you can judge the distances a bit easier.
3)Commit to the jump. Often times people think “I won’t make it” or “I’ll over jump it” and they make a split-second decision to run for an instant longer, or jump an instant sooner, or try to adjust the trajectory mid-air. And most of the time, it will land you on the ground. Decide when you’re going to jump, then run, and stick to it. Likewise, do not adjust your camera mid-air.
4)Most platforms extend a VERY tiny bit beyond the texture. You can essentially “stand on air” with very precise button pressing. Practice it with some ledges outside of jumping puzzles. It gives you a bit of space for a running start
5) Crank down your graphics as low as possible. Timing is everything, and you want as many frames per second as you can get.
6)Practice jumping on the ground. See how long your character spends in the air, and how fast he jumps in response to your keyboard.
7)Be careful with swiftness. Swiftness can make it easier to straddle big jumps, but it can also send you over the edge.
8)Practice jumping puzzles. Only way to get better at them.
And finally, if you keep on failing over and over
9)Walk away. It’s a game. You’re supposed to have fun. Go watch youtube or something for a few mins, or sign onto an alt and kill some time. I find this is a great way to keep my frustration down after I’ve fallen right before that last jump, and makes the puzzles more enjoyable. Once you’ve cooled a little, go back to it.
Also, while I don’t know how this one will compare to the Halloween one, it sounds like that this jumping puzzle is available for the entirety of Wintersday (since its through the Mystic Forge), and that it is not central to the Wintersday Storyline (since most things seem to be happening with Tixx in each major city).
Good luck!
(edited by Sirge.8934)
I would even go as far as suggesting to get rid of two Sanctuary runes to pick up two Monk or Water Runes.
You lose the stability (but its not that great anyway) and 90 vitality, but you gain +20% boon duration, which would increase the duration of your retaliation (and +25 healing which is meh).
If you go with Mark of Evasion, having a sigil of stamina on one of your weapons would help. It would keep your endurance up.
I was underwater in Orr. I killed the last of the group that was fighting me. Its corpse spawned one of the little buggers. I was floating completely still, as I was waiting for my health to recover. I watched it as it swam over to an unaggro’d undead, and smacked it. It then died, and the undead it smacked and his nearby friends proceeded to swim on over and kill my still-recovering self.
A small nuisance? Yes. Yes it is. Very small. But that small nuisance outweighs any sort of benefit it provides. And there is no other trait that I know of that inconveniences me further than it benefits me. Other pets have gotten me killed, yes. But with those, I chose to put pets on my skill bar. I knew the aggro risk. But its stupid to force the entire toughness traitline to put up with one.
And if the raised Jagged Horrors are near-useless until max level, why is it a minor trait? Low level characters only have access to a few traits, and it seems silly to screw them over with one that is useless until 80.
(edited by Sirge.8934)
They have neither confirmed nor denied. Seeing as its on the trading post, I’d imagine that it will exist at some point. When that’ll be though, I have no idea
13 is a cool number haha, but I think I’ll pass.
Thanks for the answers everyone! It clears up things quite a bit. Now I just need to figure out what to build… and how I’ll ever afford it.
PvP is an entirely different beast than PvE. Most PvE enemies depend on large health pools and high damage, with one or maybe two unique abilities to combat players.
Players, however, have much more strategy, and are able to adapt rapidly to your actions. You have to think about how an enemy player will act. Merely doing damage generally won’t get you victory. You have to design your character so that you can respond to things such as stuns, dazes, conditions, and burst damage. Timing is also extremely important, as you can see when an enemy player performs an action.
Learning PvP is very frustrating in the beginning. Keep at it.
As for WvW, it really shines when you’re with a guild. A guild can teach you the ropes, and you guys can go and capture/control points together. The zerg is not much fun, as then you’re just a number adding to the zerg’s total damage output.
One thing to really keep an eye out for in WvW are siege equipment. Get out of those red circles ASAP, as siege hits very hard. Most likely, arrow carts mowed your zerg after the gates went down.
I think the legging is a reflective surface. For some reason, the lighting isn’t showing up in your character screen. It may be that dark in a dark area or something.
Just reached level 80, whoo! Now I begin to build my character. That being said, I have a ton of questions about how the various runes and sigils play together.
If you have two runes which grant a bonus, and then another two runes which grant the same bonus, do they stack? For example, 2 Fire Runes for +20% Might Duration, and 2 Hoelbrak Runes for +20% Might Duration, stacking to a grand total of 40%. Would 2 Monk Runes (granting +15% boon duration) also stack in regards to this, seeing as Might is a boon? And this bonus percentage, is it determined by the base Might duration of the ability used, or your modified Might Duration, with your Boon Duration score taken into account?
Also, if you have a sigil that grants Might for X seconds, is that time period extended as well?
How long do the various creatures summoned by some runes hang around? And is the regeneration granted by runes of the Dolyak just equivalent 1 stack of regeneration?
For the stack-per-kill sigils, do you have to kill the enemy specifically with that weapon? I know the weapon has to be drawn, can you use an offhand weapon or a utility for the deathblow?
Necromancer specific, are most armor/weapon effects still active when in Death Shroud? As in, killing something will grant a stack (if you have a weapon out with that rune). How about during transformation ultimates, such as Lich?
And finally, I just want an opinion. Are “charge per kill” sigils (Sigils of Conjuration, Sanctuary, Demon Summoning) useful at all? There’s some cool effects, sure, but once every 26 enemies seems way too random to be actually useful when needed.
Ton of questions, I know, but any help is appreciated!
Please get rid of Reanimator. The only thing the little guy accomplishes is aggro-ing something I don’t want to fight. Unless you’re specifically traited for minions, the amount of damage and/or distraction he is capable of is near-negligible.
If you’re worried, I would wait until Wintersday starts. If there’s no new usage of karma, go ahead and spend it.
Jugs of Karma give you a pretty decent amount if you have all the various boosts. Unless it costs hundreds of thousands of karma, anything they add later on should be relatively obtainable. And even then, if its not added Wintersday, then it won’t be added till mid Jan or mid Feb at the earliest (ton of time to get more karma from dailies, monthlies and general gameplay)
I like new cosmetic items, but having started early, I’ve got items and such that they may never have. So it all balances out, imo.
It isn’t about that. It is about being punished for being loyal and buying things at full price to support the company. So because I was willing to pay full price before the game even came out plus pay for the deluxe edition. I get less benefit than some cheap loser who wasn’t willing to take a chance on the game who came along and waited for the price to drop.
How is this a punishment? All games are like this. The price goes down. Why? Because people quit buying it. How do you get more sales? Some sort of a special.
Most games lump in DLCs, or come out with a Special Edition or Game of The Year version. These specials get people to buy the game.
I can understand rage if they were getting a full expansion this early lumped into their purchase. Or if they were getting items that actually meant something. Or like 2000 free gems. But its a hat. A freaking hat. Town clothing, which makes it even less valuable than free armor skins.
For all products, value goes down over time. This is a fact for everything. If you want good deals on stuff, don’t buy when its brand new. You can either play it sooner, or save money by playing it later.
To be honest and fair, you should have left the guild within a week. Sticking around is your own fault.
Guild leaders have no actual means to “force” a player to give up items. Lying, coercion, manipulation, and scams have existed for a long time. The presence or absence of a guild system wouldn’t make a difference. So long as there is some method of trading items between players, there is room for “exploit.” Does that guild suck? Yes, undoubtedly so. Not sure why anyone is sticking around.
Also, your story doesn’t match up. They don’t have time to inform you of how many strikes there are, but they’re able to monitor what you’re doing. You’re depositing exotics into the guild bank, without even checking their value on TP until after you’ve deposited them. Despite a very strict strike system, constant racism and rules broken by leaders, and exploitation of underlings, you chose to stay in the guild. You claim the sections are masters, developers, and slaves, yet you admit that those are your own terms for it. And you use GW2 wiki’s definition of exploit to verify your arguement.
