Trying to find tokens, the tokens achievement doesn’t update and tokens “clear” for me but I have no clue what I don’t have or what I do have

I’m loving the new beta but it’s absolutely eating every gig of RAM on my machine. I originally tried it on 8gb of ram and continually crashed out, so I upgraded my RAM to 24gb and now the 64-bit client is consistently using between 10 and 20GB. It looks like there might be a memory leak.

It’s actually letting me play at full screen on my 4k iMac without crashing every 2 minutes. There’s a little ghosting but this is dozens of times better than the 32-bit client. Thank you so much!!

Crashed here too. I’m at 25. I guess its nice having people but with the client crashes… I guess I won’t be wvwing tonight.

I’m not opposed but the red and purple tags are invisible to me on most maps. If you’re going to add new tag colours, consider those of us that are colourblind in the choices.

I appreciate that it was found on REDDIT but it would be nice for an official response on the official forums that someone out there still cares about the dying WvW community.

I quit tagging. I gave away all of my siege, stacks and stacks of it. I stopped roaming. I stopped being part of any zerg. I sometimes go in to follow one commander who is so disgusted that he’s stopped tagging.

I guess I’m feeling like I am done with WvW, not because I don’t love WvW but because WvW stopped being WvW and I can’t adapt and love the new model.

…the project (WvW) is so large it didn’t end up fitting into the scope of the expansion and we still have work to do to address core fundamental issues like population balance, rewards, scoring, night capping, etc. As always we don’t discuss features in development until they are far enough along to share meaningful details, so for now we’ll just say WvW is the final big game system on our radar – and we’ve had a lot of great conversations with our players about what they’d love to see from epic large scale PvP combat.

By the time WvW becomes the “final big game system” there will be no world vs. world players left in the system. Maybe there’s big changes that will come down the pipe… eventually. In the meantime, its time for some quality of life fixes to at least keep some of the actual wvw player base interested in playing this game rather than migrating to other options. I agree that the old version of WvW had some problems, but this new one has many more problems. I’d like to see this version of wvw become something I can enjoy playing again rather than game hunting for another similar experience. Even just basic things like upgrade changes, gliding, and roaming viability would allow the average wvw player to have some interest.

I am unable to connect. I can access the login screen which sends me to character select but when I try to login with Persistence, my main in Hoelbrak, it gives me a network error and closes the client which restarts the process.

[EDIT] Repaired my client. Seems to now connect about 50% of the time. Attempted to login multiple times to check the stability.

The new maps took everything that I loved and spent thousands of hours on and got rid of it. My entire server could fit in one map, be out maneuvered and out zerged. I have no doubt that we can adjust but this is not fun right now. It’s too big. The mechanics are confusing. The upgrades are OP for small roaming groups.

About [HoD]:
A WvW focused guild created by core commanders to consolidate the power of HoD to maintain continuity, purpose, and power on the battlefield. Not a list, [HoD] is an army, The Hordes of Denravi, with structure, organization, and a clear focused intent to destroy the opponents of HoD. No one person leads the guild, there are multiple leaders and guild functions are distributed throughout the rank structure to allow the many specialized commanders and officers to promote and run their own guild events.

We typically run 25-30 on push nights and havoc with 10 or so at other times. Our PvE crew is small but growing as we look forward to being part of the expansion!

Players of all skill levels and all professions, including players new to WvW! Our goal is to train new players, introduce people to WvW, and build up a guild that acts more like a family than a group of strangers.

I’m experiencing ongoing and game-breaking lag in WvW. It is not on my side nor am I the only person on my server experiencing it. Skills do not go off, dropping siege is impossible, and the rubber-banding allows me to run across map and end up back where I started five minutes earlier.

I know there have been other posts about lag in WvW but I’m unable to find anything current. Is this something unique to HoD or is going on across all the WvW servers?

Only 24 hours? It’s been getting steadily worse for the last week, essentially since the Living World update. WvW is the reason I play this game and its largely unplayable, which is frustrating. I don’t show packet loss but I am seeing significant lag in server response from the connected IP.

I thought it was simply my connection but I’m on Henge of Denravi and having similar issues. In WvW its alot of lag, frequent disconnects, and general un-playability as of Tuesday’s living world update. I’m not showing packet losses but a delay in response from the server IP.

HoD’s a great server. We’re semi-low population at the moment but we’re more than holding our own in WvW. We’ve got a great, very active community (WvW, PvX). Community TS. And a bunch of extremely friendly people. Have questions? Feel free to look me up in game. 4 Times tonight in Snowden Drifts. No particular pattern other than running around while chatting in whispers and local chat. Tonight is the first time that I had issues.

I’m Persistence. I’ve hopped around servers quite a bit since launch and am still looking for the right guild home. Most recently I was in vX but because I could no longer support T1 WvW gameplay I was forced to move on. I love wvw but my current connection is spotty, at best, in blob on blob play. I also tend to play a lot of living stories, enjoy most PVE, and enjoy most of the dungeons/fotm as often as I can find a group that wants to do.

I’m in my 30s, so I’d prefer a mature guild. I also tend to play late nights, generally after 9pm Eastern. I’d also prefer not to be part of a mega guild – I want to build friendships and find a home that lasts more than six months, not just be another number in the roster.

My main toon is a necro although I do have at least one of each class. I’ve most recently been on TC and to be honest, absolutely hated the idea that TC and JQ worked together to bring down BG in the latest WvW matchup. As such, I would prefer not to be in a T1 server again… the drama is a great way to ruin the game.

Does anyone have a place where I might fit in better? I’m happy to transfer servers for the right guild fit. Please contact me here or in game.

BTW: I’m not looking for a WvW guild. PVE guilds are just fine.

Since the latest patch I’m having regular problems with my game client crashing during WvW. Generally there’s been lag, then I’ll be in the middle of no where and the client crashes. On occasion, if I don’t click on the crash box to submit a report I can keep playing, but generally I can’t even submit the report.

It’s not unplayable but when I’m crashing out 3 or 4 times a night, it is a massive time sink.

Disconnected mid-event here, for the third time since the latest patch. I actually lost sound about 5 minutes prior to the client crashing (this time). Other times, its been without warning. It’s even the same zones every time for the event (Maelstrom & Frostgorge) which I need. Come back, hit an overflow that doesn’t have it, and don’t get credit for the 2/3 of the event which I’ve completed. It’s frustrating.

I have a decent system. I haven’t had problems since just after launch. Nothing has changed recently on my system. I ran the shortcut with the -repair and -verify. I ran GameAdvisor… again. It doesn’t fix it.

Same problem here. Tried in both an overflow and non-overflow zone. Doesn’t seem to be functional.

Same here as well. Chest appeared open for me, completely unclickable and there was no “gift” in my inventory.

I’m crazy colorblind, so generally Guild Wars tends to be a bit more difficult than normal for me. At the same time, after two nights of trying and hundreds of attempts (its hard when the dark mist blends with dark steps), finally got to the end. It actually feels like an accomplishment. Which is nice.

So while the tower isn’t perfect, most things aren’t – but it was fun.
