How much better would it be if confusion weren’t just another spammable condition that the horribly OP condition spammers can abuse? Imagine a confusion mechanic that actually locks down an opponent if done properly, or punishes them for reacting? Why is confusion based on condition damage?

Confusion should be a well placed, and well timed pre-emptive strike, not just something engi’s spam whenver it’s off cooldown or something that mesmers keep up 2-3 stacks all the time. Not something that a hammer warrior or interupt thief can keep 18 stacks permanently with the new OP runes.

you know you’re an ele when you hide behind npcs near your tower and mistform back into the tower with downed skill 2 after you get smashed in a 1 v 1 (+ npcs).

you know you’re an ele when you spam all your weapon skills mindlessly and rotate out of the atunement when you run out of cds there. then you kite around in circles healing and pop arcane shield/mistform/stability+protection. then you come to the forums and complain that ele’s do twice the amount of work that other classes do.

Running into a lot of warrior roamers

I solo/duo roam as a warrior on anvil rock. In a 1v1, Thieves are my easiest targets. Backstabs are incredibly easy to anticipate and thieves are simple to burst down.

In a Thief vs Warrior fight, unless you get the jump on the Warrior, you simply are already at a huge disadvantage because once the Warrior knows you’re there, the fight becomes “Warrior” vs. "Super Squishy kitten version of a warrior trying to be sneaky but can’t because Warriors have tons of blocks, counters, mobility, and “oh kitten” buttons (Thief)."

However, this one thief I fought absolutely wrecked me. He had blind on stealth and properly avoided my attacks and CnD’d almost perfectly every time.

The only advice I could give you is to play on the Thief’s strengths. Don’t fight like a warrior- fight like a thief. Make intentional use of evades, teleports, blinds, stealths, and bursts. Too many thieves try to backstab me and auto attack me to death only to find out that they just died and i’m left with 50% + of my health left.

FYI: I play an offensive warrior with a bit of defense (Sword/WH, Axe/Shield, 100% crit damage, 2400 power, 300 vitality more than base and 200 toughness more than base)

Elementalists get evasive arcana. reckless dodge should be changed to something like that evasive arcana that heals 2k + .8 x healing power, does around 5k damage, and does some condishuns like blind or chill. keep it where its at on the trait line (either 5 or 15 i don’t remember) so all warriers can have

It was a bug. It’s now fixed. You can stomp/rez while in rampage form. You can still use it to gain massive distance. 20 seconds of swiftness and stability doesn’t need to be explained of its usefulness. It’s good for ambushing. It’s fun.

And bugs are only good if they make your class more powerful than intended amirite?

Sure, on a pure glass upscale.

Try it for yourself if you don’t believe me. A berserker armor/orb and trinket build with glassy traits but defensive utilities normally hits around 12k-14k easy. If you swap out defensive utilities with only offensive ones (namely the vulnerability shout, might signet, and FGH or crit damage banner) 16ks are common and 20k are maxes (all on level 80s). obviously the latter build is useless for anything else

Sylvari because a lot of the heavy armor exposes a lot of the skin and the glow effect looks beautiful. Also charr warriors in full armor look like spiked potatoes

did not record but a ele was literally facetanking a whole 30 man zerg. he just stood there and was taking all of the hits like a true tank. he also managed to stun all 30 men and firegrab each one within a few seconds.

Never have i seen a ele take on 30 people, and out tank every single bit of damage while holding as much dps as he did.

What will Anet buff next? Can’t wait for next patch

i started using rampage recently in wvw and its pretty good. It allows me to escape any zerg if I need to. you can stomp while in rampage form which is an amazing bonus. also it helps you win outnumbered fights immensely.

There isn’t really a thief-meta. I see p/d thieves, p/p thieves, d/p thieves, d/d thieves, s/p thieves, and s/d thieves all kick butt.

In general, a successful WvW thief has ample access to evasion and at least 5 seconds of stealth on demand though.

Funny thing is the other day i was in tpvp and a thief just land a backstab on my char taking away 80% of my health in a single hit and then use another skill wich i suppouse was Heart Seeker, and i was downed, he did this 2 times, and i didnt have the chance to land a single skull crack on him.

This cheese mechanics are known from a long time now and the devs didnt nerf them, and i guess they ar not going to do it. But actually this is OP because these has nearly 0 counters it depends totally on luck because you cant see this coming, even if you block we all know what happens when you block an attack that comes from stealth… yes NOTHING.

Stop perpetuating unjustified thief hate in order to justify the unbalanced “under dog warrior” build.

It’s quite obvious that we are not looking for the exact same buffs as the other similar skills on other professions but adding projectile blocking/reflecting is not gonna make it OP (can only block/reflect projectiles, melee hits and control abilities will still affect it).

It works logically because if I’m holding two axes or an axe and a sword and start spinning wildly fast then any arrows that come flying at me are going to be intercepted by my psycho spinning axes and effectively smacked away or chopped in half.

I was saying its should reflect on it own like thief does, not picking up a trait to actually do it.

I don’t think it should reflect without a trait. Whirling Axe already is an adrenaline gold mine, does kinda good damage, and can be used on the move. Asking for basic projectile blocking, imo, is enough.

GS and Sword is not a good combo. Scepter/Mace is miles better and leaves you with nothing.

The argument that you can blink to bunnies is ridiculous because there’s huge sections of the maps with none to be seen. Furthermore, a class should not be relying on something so gimmicky for survivability.

Guardian desperately needs some better escape mechanics. Making judges intervention ground targeted might help a bit but better access to swiftness is also desperately required.

Sorry bud but if you want mobility in your weapon sets then you will have to make sacrifices. The tools for you are there. The problem is you don’t want to use them.

Idk I think Guardianss in combat mobility, especially in chasing, is pretty dang good.

Greatsword leap, sword blink and the teleport meditation that burns your foe already gives you better chasing than the average warrior.

Also you can target a bunny that is really far away to use your blink and meditation on if you are running from a zerg.

Also trust me you DO NOT want Burning Speed to be like Rush. Even with all of the patches to Rush, the thing is harder to land than a Burning Speed sometimes. About 30% of the time, it will face your body away from your target, causing your attack to miss. The skill is very clunky in aiming at a target if they move. I’ve had people turn my warrior into a joke by doing some movement where they moved at an angle along a curve, completely screwing up the skill. The way we treat Rush is thakittens number 1 function is as a mobility skill. If you can get it to do damage, then that’s good too.

IF they make burning speed auto homing it will no doubt lose it’s PbAOE effect since PbAoE and Auto homing would be imbalanced.

For anyone else saying theyd rather have it not home in on their target, then you dont understand that if it did home in on your target, you have the option to do BOTH. simply de target your opponent, there you go The fact that it doesnt home in, simply means that you can never play how you want to. I am going to repeat myself. What if heartseeker didnt home in on a target and you had to line that up? leap of faith? ride the lightning? Of course, if you like to play that way, then you can. if you dont have auto targetting on and you de target your opponent, you can play to such a level which you feel giddy with yourself. And ill repeat once more, the problem remains that burning speed NEVER homes in unlike every other gap closing skill.

One of the most important things is proper movement impairment condition mitigation. Just being chilled for 2 seconds is enough to get the zerg to swarm you. There are a few ways to do this. dogged march + hoelbrak or melandru runes + lemongrass poultry soup is a good start. i don’t like warhorn for removing condis because by the time you switch and activate the skill, you’re already 6 feet under. go from there

Giving Whirling Axe projectile blocking (posssible reflection if traited?) would do sooo much to help Warriors. I MEAN THE SKILL IS PRACTICALLY MADE FOR PROJECTILE DEFENSE. Every single instance of someone spinning around with an axe in this game results in project blocking/reflection! Ranger Spins = Projectile Block. Phantasmal Warden Spins = Projectile Block. Thief Spins = Projectile Block.

This is the perfect opportunity to give birth to a brand new age of warriors! Forget about giving us some stupid greataxe or giving us scepters or some random crap! Work on the useless weaponsets we have now!

I really don’t see how you’re still complaining about warriors having low sustain. Healing signet alone easily corrects that problem, not mentioning other ways for sustain such as adrenal health and healing shouts or regen banners. Also shield stance, BP and EP help with sustain.

I wouldn’t be surprised if Healing Signet gets toned down.

And no one has even commented on how broken healing signet is right now, 400 health/sec unconditional. Ya, balanced.

Healing signet is pretty kitten powerful; that much is clear and it might need a little toning down but I’ll give you some tips to counter it:

1. It brings no condi cleanse so poison will nearly neutralize the healing. Thieves have ample access to poison. I emphasize this option because it really works. People like to be lazy and want to kill people by using only direct damage but it requires a combination.

2. Obviously a good spike will take a passive healing warrior down, just like any other passive healing player. If you manage to kill a warrior fast enough (maybe with a coordinated team effort) then the healing signet is much weaker than the other heals to the warrior.

Since the nerf on the axe auto attack chain that put a crap ton of its damage at the end of the chain, can we get a little mobility on the axe so we can stick to our enemies a little bit better? Any decent kiting set up (Mesmer staff/gs, thief shortbow, caltrop for example) makes it hard enough to finish a double chop sequence before you’re back to starting from scratch. Also this would help warriors not be forced to take a GS for the much needed mobility.

I think maybe the ranged cripple on the axe should be replaced with some movement skill so that way the axe doesn’t trump the sword in terms of sticking to an enemy.

Well, we do have the benefit of being the only class with condition immunity (outside of the engineer trait no one uses) and we are the only class whose invulnerability utility allows us to use all of our utilities (other than ranger’s Signet of Stone, which again no one really uses). Plus, the durations on these are really good and not on terrible cooldowns. I think Berserker Stance and Endure Pain are good like they are tbh, strong when used correctly but not mindless spam skills.

Condition Immunity? It doesn’t affect conditions already on you or if you have 10% Condition Duration… I would rather have something that helps me when I need it.

RANGERS DON’T USE SOS? WHAT? WHAT!?

Berserker Stance would be good in its current state if a red text came up saying the necromancer was using his condition rotation so you could put it up. However all condition attacks look the same.

The point of Berserker Stance is not to get conditions piled on to you. I recommend being better at the game instead of asking for the skill to be renamed “Hold Hand.”

Once it is on if any conditions are getting through it’s for a very minor duration. If you already have conditions on you, you have 8-10 seconds to clear them. We now have plenty of options on how to go about this (Cleansing Ire, Warhorn, Shouts+Soldiers, Mending, Signet of Stamina, Lyssa). If that’s too much for you try sticking to your guardian.

In fact, currently warriors do very well against the condition spam kings (Necro and Engi) due to the new Berserker Stance and these classes marked lack of stability matches up so well with the shiny new mace buffs.

I suggest you not fight against a Necromancer or Engineer then, they can do that spammingly, Its usually way to late to use the stance when you really need it.

So basicly your saying its ok if the warrior has to rely on all his skills to clear something, when other classes skills actually do that for them.

The game meta does not support what you claim, its high paced action combat does not support that slow concept.

It is a great no-wonder that nobody uses our class for teams, when we have to use 4-5-7-8-9 to get the same effect as a guardian who uses 7.

What does Signet of Stamina do? It clears all conditions. That’s one skill. Boom. Done. We have something that NO OTHER CLASS HAS. We can for a duration become effectively immune to new conditions WHILE giving us adrenaline. This is already very powerful. You can deliver two nearly 4 second long stuns if you time it right. I just don’t get how you don’t see that these skills are in a really good place. There are other things that could use some adjusting and these two really aren’t one of them.

Not only does it do that, it breaks you out of stun and gives you a boon for every condition you cleansed.

Lol! You take out a tiny piece of his argument, refute it, and then pretend you won. What about the rest of what he said? The fact that we DO have the ability to instantly cleanse all conditions. The fact that we are the only class to, on will, lower incoming condition duration by -100%? The fact that EP allows you to use all of your skills while invulnerable to damage, something only rangers have (to my knowledge). You say that guardians can do what warriors can do in one skill what it takes for warriors to do in 5 or 6 skills yet this is clearly just a horrible and unsupported hyperbole.

So you want to punish the enemy for wasting their attack on your stance more than losing their CD ? Okay, but only if you take damage if your attack is dodged (due to your incompetence) or blocked (due to your incompetence).

“How about changing Berserker’s Stance to something that immediately helps you and completely punishes your targets for continuing to spam and engage you?”

You do know that Berserker’s Stance isn’t meant to make you invincible to condi’s, right? If your enemy has any +condi duration then they are still doing damage applying conditions to you while you are in Berserker’s Stance. If you want complete immunity for conditions, then ask for Berserker’s Stance to do just that instead of asking to punish players for breaking through your defense.

i love the utility kill throw mine. knockback, boon strip, damage, blast finisher, what more could you ask for in a utility skill? This is the king of utility! The only problem i have with mines is the toolbelt skill. the toolbelt skill doesn’t match the utility of throw mine and instead is used as some cheap burst or as easily dodged traps. kind of a fail with scatter mines

i feel like a smoother transition between the landing and the rolling would be greatly appreciated. however, i can see why warrior’s rush was given good attention in smoothing out the animation because landing the end of rush could mean the difference of a 7k hit whereas the transition between landing and rolling isn’t really much of a clutch moment.

Yes! I have this exact problem on my sylvari warrior with my nightmare armor! However, after looking at your picture I have come to the conclusion that this “glitch” is actually a “feature” for sylvari. The un dyeable part of the nightmare armor matches your sylvari’s skin color. I’m going to go on a human character and test my theory.

How can a Rifle Shot apply chill?Does it feel right as it sounds?

How can an arrow explode or create a burning ring, or simply blind? Does it feel right as it sounds?

Unlike bows, rifle carry ammo, so i don’t see why we can’t take a special ammo that freeze enemies.

As for killshot its takes too long in current state to cast. Have u ever tried hit someone compenent with that? Harpoon gun is actually well designed unlike rifle.

To actually land killshot theres 2 options:

-Bolas
-Stomp

And pray that ur opponent is a new player. Also both of these options make no sense as they need to be used in melee range, so i will be better with evi/hb. Now u getting the point why rifle inst viable?

Every weapon has its place. We can’t overbuff every single weapon so that every single weapon works in every single situation. It doesn’t make sense. It’s stupid! Kill shot has its uses.

For example, in a group fight the other day, I insta-dropped an evasion spam thief that was harrassing half my group from 1500 units away. Killshot is situational. When people hear the word “situational” they instantly think “useless”. Weapons have their times and places to be and killshot is a perfect example of that.
