While I’ve finally obtained my super greatsword skin and it’s pretty cool while wielded, I can’t help but be a bit disappointed by the sheathed animation. It’s completely stagnate and unanimated. In many ways it feels like a step backwards from all the flashiness of the old asura cultural greatsword I used to have.
Anet seems to always miss the bar when it comes to polish on weapons imo. (see most pre change legendaries and all non-asura cultural weapons.)
Does anyone else feel that all of the current and future super weapons should feature the same wielded and sheathed animations?
same here, i’m trying to buy a makeover kit, but when i click to confirm it doesnt do anything. not very good impressions from me after not playing for months and coming back to find that nothing has changed
normal transmutation stones are frequent rewards for map completion. however, in my experience after having 100% for a while i think i only received fine stones once from map completion. i have NEVER gotten fine stones from completing a daily. all the stones i’ve gotten were from overpriced gold to gem conversions
warrior and guardian pretty much fit everything you’ve described. personally though of the the two i’d prefer guardian. i just think they are more fun. warrior’s might have access to a lot of different weapons, but most of them are ineffective or have a clear superior choice. warrior shouts and war banners are fun, but i think guardian shouts, symbols, consecrations, are more interesting.
the oozes and spiders make me think of the jumping puzzle in queensdale, but when you mention fire elemental, i think of the thermonova reactor in the asura starting zone
you dont need agony till roughly 16. everything before it can be avoided or healed through
if wasnt working for me on FA, but it worked when i guested onto TC. make sure you finish the event and wait for all of the dialogue and cow launches to end

the fact that all the mentors died and trahearne is still alive is a travesty in and of itself. down with trehearne. i dont care how it happens or what it takes for it to happen, but it needs to happen.

if you check out any of the profession forums trait builds are posted all the time and they all of course assume that you have full access to traits. maybe find the character that you enjoy the most and purchase the tome on that one?
i personally bought the tomes immediately when they became available

And this is something that every player needs to figure out for themselves as it’s perfectly legit that one might love a particular class while another loathes it. Might just be a bit more helpful to provide some reasoning behind your opinion though as opinions are too commonplace otherwise.
true, true, i was just being lazy haha. i don’t like the thief for a number of reasons. all of their weapon skills are straight forward and not interesting. all of the poisons are just boring utility skills in my opinion. the leather armor choices are so lacking in the game that nothing is visually appealing outside of of human female t3. in terms of dungeons i dont think i’ve ever seen a thief that has done anything useful that pretty much any class could do better. stealth heals are probably the only only thing, but that can be done with spy kits on any other class. when leveling, by the time you have all your weapon skills i feel like there’s nothing else really to look forward to aside from dagger storm in terms of the fun factor. also while leveling thieves are really good versus single targets, but if even one or two extra mobs join the battle, there’s really nothing you can do about it in terms of survivability. initiative seems like a poor class mechanic in my eyes (not that guardian virtues are all that interesting)
guardians on the other hand would have no problems leveling. they have interesting melee options that are all fun to play, but fairly weak ranged ones. virtues are passives are amusing, consecrations and symbols are fun and unique, and while leveling there was always that new skill/weapons/elite that i wanted to try out. heavy armor has more aesthetically pleasing options, and in the end guardians provide so much more utility to a dungeon group between heals, boons, shouts, projectile blocking, and just being a heavy presence. i suppose its just a matter of preference, but the thief just feels so linear, lacking, and straight forward to me while the guardian feels more dynamic and useful. of course this is just my opinion.

i think you can get a rare berserker back piece as a drop from fractals. you can also purchase the exotic version in fractals
it’s frightening to me that someone is even considering to not purchase the tome. if money is your concern, you will have more than enough money just through normal play. i personally wouldn’t want someone in my party who doesn’t have their full trait or bonus stats potential. i wonder how many people actually ask this question for their character….

if you get all the longest paths, but do them all perfectly i’d say it would take at most an hour to do 4, but could be much shorter, with the shorter paths
bug fixes are not content updates. bug fixes should be happening frequently, on even a weekly basis, not once a month. skills and traits are still not working properly (see: mesmer.) if a company like riot games can update their game every 2 weeks and always show somethine new, why can anet only update their game once a month, and never show anything new

Game Update Notes – January 3, 2013Three updates last month. And there is one update in February that changed the level scaledown stats adjustments.
did you even read those update notes? january 3rd, the point of the patch was to disable wintersday. this is not a content update in anyway. janurary 10, three bugs that have zero effect on gameplay (to the best of my knowledge.) january 28, added laurels, the one update of the month that did something. a few bug fixes. dungeons are still not revamped, champions are still worthless to battle, dailies are still mundane and don’t encourage players to explore the world, reliable/reasonable ascended is still limited to fractals, the gem shop still doesn’t get anything worth purchasing, etc etc. its hard to believe a completely free game like league has more support and MUCH more community interaction between devs and players than this one does. (spotlights, patch breakdowns, patches actually visible within the game client, an actual test server, discussion on forums between player and developer, direct changes to the game based on feedback)
people are over reacting about these “guild missions.” likely they will just be current content and just give additional rewards for being in a guild group. last month didn’t really add anything and this month seems to be pretty much the same thing
Last month fixed a ton of issues. You may want to reread the patch notes. January was the best patch yet. Considering Halloween and Wintersay were pretty epic, that says a lot.

if you dont have any characters im pretty sure you can pick whatever sever you want. there was an anet post about this, but i dont feel like lloking for it. alternatively he could just guest onto your server, but you’d be able to do anything but wvw together. this is assuming you are both from the same region though.
pretty much everything you said here is spot on. some additional thoughts though. you can only get pristine relics from your daily on even numbered fractals. uninfused rings have a chance to drop only in the daily chest starting from 10 and on to 19. infused rings have a chance to start dropping in the daily chest from 20 onward. all of these rings have an infusion slot that you can put +5 ar in.
the ascended version of the backpack from fractals doesnt need 250 ectos. the ascended version has an infusion slot. the infused version of it requires 250 ectos.

there’s an issue with your pc time being taken into considertion to what time it is in gw2, and if your pc time is wrong it can lead to problems in game, that might be what youa re seeing

the game needs more INTERESTING skills. how many people do you know that actually switch between the definitive best healing skill on a class? how many people actually use different elites? why are there even so few and uninteresting elites with such large cooldowns to begin with? why are most of the utility abilities either useless or conceptually broken? why don’t the orders have skills? i find it so hard to believe that the skill variety and concepts are such a step down from gw1
you get 60 for completing a path for the first time in a day. the next time you run it you get less. the tokens are account bound
i’m pretty sure you can just buy the rune from the TA merchant. also keep in mind that you will lose the armor when you salvage it
when you use the item it gives you karma

perhaps you have the wrong name? if you have the name of any of his characters you can add friends through that method or through the username.#### way
all weapons, armor, or jewlery current only have one upgrade slot regardless if they come pre inserted with sigils/gems or not
none of the sigils have a consistent particle effect to the best of my knowledge, only the on hit ones have avisible thing such as the flame blast

there’s nothing really out there i think. theres a skill point a little way south of the circle on the map you linked though

dont bother saving karma on a new character. spend it on whatever you want wherever you want. you will not have fun if you are a new player and you start worrying about a legendary
