Ah, I’m just waking up! Must keep fighting? Ok!
You can also hit SM from red keep.
See who makes more holes faster.
Red keep on EB is the easiest keep to defend in my experience. And stop thinking about its defense within its walls.
Imo not being able to revive double downed players while in combat is a bad call
You even quoted it
You still will be able to revive downed players while in combat.
Quit spamming the forum with this dumb idea
+1000!
You do realize its not valentine’s day yet for us NA types right? You know what that means ….. MOAR chocolate tomorrow!
*takes thread out for dinner and a movie.
Score update, I think SoR kinda gave up.
There, fixed it for you …
Would someone please claim Commander Naomi Campbell? She’s been waiting to come in and lead and is starting to get quite angry .. nobody likes an angry Naomi Campbell. C’mon SoR/SoS/JQ .. someone claim her before she randomly goes off and starts attacking whoever is in front of her.
Thank you.
Haven’t we picked on the dolyaks enough?
Our daytime crew (euro time) has been so hardened that we tend to do a heck of a lot more with less. Even when we’re hit by the big Tier 1 servers visiting Tier 2, we manage to hold on defensively and are extremely resilient in maintaining our points tick. Plus the daytime crew (sea and euro time) are some of the best people I’ve ever known in game.
Our guys don’t need a commander on map to automatically do what’s necessary. We do have some great commanders at that time, but I’m just saying you’d be coming to join a very experienced and battle-hardened crew. Map chat is often hilarious, always pleasant, and everyone there helps everyone else out. Cry out for help and you’ll instantly have about 20 bodies coming to your aid, if not more.
Plus I give cookies to all newcomers.
As for PVE, our maps are packed at pretty much every hour of the day. TC is the destination server for guesting, mostly because all the Orr temples are constantly up and there’s always activity. I myself prefer to be on a server where this kind of thing is constant, and I don’t have to guest, so I get to know the faces and names of my community. The community itself is wonderful. It’s extremely stable and TC likely will never suffer the fate of other servers when it comes time to merge. TC is kind of like the NYC of the NA servers. You get people playing from all over the world, it really is a multi-cultural affair.

desoblobadon? really? you can’t put blob in desolation name. it just doesnt work.
bloben on the other hand…
Blobolation works
Y’know there are a hundred different things to do on a map during a week of WvW. If your priority is interrupting duels, then you probably should examine your motivations.
Leave them alone, go do something productive. Those duelling will jump back into the game after 15 or so minutes, let them have those 15 minutes.
What if I want to keep Blackgate tho? I really like those guys
I guess I’m the exception, too…..
The Blackgate guild [RES} seriously has no class.
Here´s a tip for you. PvP are meant to happen in PvP zones. If you cant handle it, stick to PvE.
RES is prolly the most classy guild on BG
Which doesn’t speak well for BG.
You have a remarkable way of looking at things! How inventive, and clever!

KURU TIME FOR THE WHITE KNIGHT! chop chop
A fix that isn’t even complete yet and everyone’s kittening themselves. That shows how neglected WvW has been.
DON’T MAKE ME HUG YOU!!!!
C’mon! :p
I have screenshots too! SoR makes our towers/keeps paper for JQ – I have PROOF! The proof is in the pudding… Mmmmm I like pudding. Vanilla pudding ftw!
Duck Tales. ooOOoooo
If you don’t eat your meat you can’t have any pudding
My, those are some nice bricks you have in those walls.
….two lost souls, swimming in a fish bowl, year after year?
(Sorry, had to do it when it appeared nobody got the reference, lol)
Hey everyone,
I wanted to address the idea of moving world linking to monthly instead of every 2 months, since it is being brought up more and more frequently.
The team isn’t opposed to this idea; we actually think it would be beneficial to move to monthly because it would allow us to iterate faster on how we are calculating which worlds should be linked. However, the main reason for not doing this right now is the matchmaking algorithm, Glicko. Each time we shuffle worlds via world linking it takes about 4 weeks’ worth of matches before Glicko begins to reliably match make those new worlds into balanced matches. If we did world linking monthly, Glicko would not be able to create balanced matchups.
Our next priority poll is going to be asking if players would rather have us work on adding rewards to skirmishes (and possibly other feedback items being collected from this thread) or replace Glicko matchmaking with a 1-up 1-down system (wherein the winner moves up a tier and the loser moves down a tier.) The 1-up 1-down system should work better with monthly linkings than Glicko, so we are most likely going to hold off on 1 month linkings until that system is in.
Another possibility we could pursue is 1 month linkings, but use the Glicko offset system to guarantee the matches. Alternatively, we could manually change Glicko ratings to what we believe they should be for each world. Either option would force worlds to start out closer to being in the correct tier and thus give better matches faster. These options are contentious, so even if everyone on the forums seemed to like this idea it would be something we would poll on.
This needs its own thread please. Not buried in the middle of a long one.
You’ve died running off cliffs while manically typing out enemy movement.
Yeah, this was entirely FA’s fought. I apologize on behalf of them for not letting the parade go longer than 3 and a half minutes but I had fun while I was there. I got to meet some pretty famous people from the other servers through the DOLY guild too.
The “it’s red, it’s dead” was being advocated by the commanders in team chat when I was trying to advertise the event in map and make sure people weren’t attacking. But, meh, we have our version of fun. They have theirs. It’s just a shame their version ruins our fun. v.v
Sorry you had to go through that, it must have been painful to watch and have no one listen. Apologies also that your server is now the favourite target .. my friend, maybe it’s best to sit it out until this cools off? Or even better, transfer to TC or CD? You sound like a good fit for either, and we’d love to have you on TC
Just call GvG in Gw2 “Nancy” and be done with it:
“Fancy a bit of Nancy?”
“Those Nancy boys are at it again near the windmill”
…. the possibilities are endless
13. Every person that posts a negative comment on the forums will instantly be turned into a clucking chicken once they enter WvW. This “special” buff will last until they come back on here and say something nice.
14. Trebs will be used for sending the opposing team big bright boxes of cookies. And there is absolutely no way these cookies will really be trojan horses .. nope, nosiree. *whistles
15. If a map is owned by one team entirely they will be forced into doing the choreography from the broadway show A Chorus Line. No matter where they are or what they’re doing, they’ll suddenly be manically dancing on map for the next 10 minutes. (One, singular sensation, every little step we take …. )
I don’t get it. I didn’t know TC had that strong a SEA force at all!!
Shouldn’t most people be at work at this time of day?
We have tons of folks who took a two week break when you guys just got into the tier. They’re back now.
Sadly this isn’t Anet’s fault, this is all on the players. Be thankful we had years in EU when people purposefully spread out on servers to get better fights.
Golem duplication bug exploit caught live:
Not even an abuse really. All they have to do is either click on you and type /invite or /join .. an icon will pop up on your screen and it’s up to you to click the green check mark to invite them into group or not. (I believe, however, even if you don’t check the green check mark, and just leave the invite hanging, after a while your name appears, but again you can counter this by xing out quickly). Unless they are specifically using your account name you use here to post to send you a whisper, there is no other way of them knowing your character name to send you a whisper, and you have to allow it on your end by clicking that green check mark.
That said, I find being able to speak with the enemy incredibly useful. We’ve had a few incidents where hacking is involved and me typing /invite or /join lets me talk with someone on the other team right away to try to resolve it, instead of the usual that goes on in this forum of people coming here with accusations and creating drama.
I’d hate to see this feature taken away, simply for that reason alone. Solve the issue privately and in-game rather than fanning the flames here.
As well, most convos I’ve had with the enemy have been pleasant. I actually enjoy talking to folks from other servers. And others use the /invite function to do small skirmishes or duels.
The control, ultimately is yours when it comes to this. Just don’t accept the invite if you don’t want to talk to them, or accept it if you do.
Just have to be talented enough to skirt them for five minutes. After five minutes that ability is removed.
Run naked. No repair bills.
Every server has a right to post recruitment threads. It’s incredibly uncool to come into one and troll it, regardless of history. It only winds up making your own server look bad. We in tier two have had zero issues with any of them being anything but polite and fun to play with … It boils down to treat others how you want to be treated yourself. It’ll give you good karma, too.
That said, my experience with Kaineng is that they have several skilled and organized WvW guilds, who have a very tier 1 worthy presence on the maps. If you want competitive WvW, Kaineng is worth considering.
Well I do have some technical news that may change your mind.
I just logged into my other account and whispers are working fine .. same computer, same game software.
So it appears, I believe, that the game thinks this account is invisible online for some reason — because it’s acting like I’m invis otherwise. I’m wondering if it’s possible to manually go in and change the status from your end? I think that might fix the issue .. for everyone.
Also, thanks very much for the reply, even if it isn’t the one I was hoping for
I’m hoping you get at least a week’s reprieve from the complaints/suggestions for fixes, etc …
Thank you for listening to us.
Sincerely.
xox
Little do folks realize that Kain is “disbanding” simply because its the only way to escape these toxic match threads. Can’t say I blame them.
(In all seriousness, I’m counting on you guys to have a short vacation, get back up here and continue to set the example of dignity and good sportsmanship again.)
You spend eight hours on a map testing out new siege placement … And suckering in teammates to help you figure out trajectories.
This adds a new tactic to WvW. “Kill them with kindness”. Send your entire server to the forums to compliment the other 2 servers, wait for them to pass out, and capture the entire WvW map.
EXACTLY!
You see how my evil plot unfolds?
Plus, it would wreck havoc on the communities if they part ways after a long 3 months.
This suddenly feel… not so good.
Don’t panic. Not quite yet at least.
At core, you’re staying within your existing community, your existing server, no matter who you’re paired up with. That means the people you’ve been playing with for years stay with you.
Every three months (and I believe this is an arbitrary number and just meant to advise people it can change so there’s no forum freakouts and is actually quite clever in making sure the game isn’t, well, gamed), you get “guests”. So you still play with the community you know and love, but you get extra people visiting.
Now that could be great or it could be destructive, but if you come from a particularly strong community, you’ve been through it at least once with the bandwagonners.
What I took away from it was good, they’re leaving us intact.
And a reddit post said that they will never pair national servers with international ones in EU, nor will they merge the top EU gold servers with any other server for the near future. So for EU, it will not be much of a difference, except in the lower tiers.
Golems themselves could be expandable, coming with a basic form of skills, but having specific upgraded versions available if you
You gave a fictional story to backup your other post, I call it fictional because what you posted would not have happened. Giving someone a reason to investigate and proving fault is two completely different things. Gaming companies reserve the right to ban whomever whenever, but thats not smart business.
Lol, I think you just like to argue And how are you so certain it wouldn’t happen?
I was avoiding naming the guild and server because I have a lot of respect for these folks and those who have paid close attention to these forums know who I’m talking about anyhow. It wasn’t fictional, and the bans were real and taken from WvW. They reported seeing anet-tagged players following their zerg for a full week before it happened.
I’ve been in game and fighting merrily along in WvW next to someone and then suddenly they pop an anet tag, whereas before they were guildless, or in another guild. They do send anet folks into game, I imagine both for diagnosing bug issues but also to monitor. If these guys are seeing griefing going on while they’re in there, they’re going to flag their own guys, too. The guy next to you in WvW could be an anet dev.
But they don’t even have to do that, which is my point. They can simply use tracking systems to monitor player behaviour and determine if griefing was invovled or not. It’s not hard to see transaction history, for example, of buying ‘merchants’ over and over again, nor is it hard to see 100 rams being built repeatedly, and no other activity by that player. It’s harder if the player just stands at spawn and does nothing but relay info back to their team, but I imagine because anet owns the software, they could easily monitor and review chat logs too. But I’d think they wouldn’t start doing that unless a complaint was received.
But the onus is on us the players to report this stuff. Out of the thousands of players in game, it’s like a needle in a haystack, unless they’re pointed in the right direction.
Thank you guys for an eventful and busy night on TCBL tonight! Didn’t have to go far to find a fight and it was never-ending all night long.
That said, I really need to stop doing these 14 hour shifts, haha.
Good night everyone, may your loot bags find you a precursor!
TY for the cookie, it was yummy
You’re most welcome hon Did you bounce around?
HAHA I did, I was kinda of confused at 1st
I use those when I’m building siege .. always makes people laugh to see me bounce by holding a siege blueprint and hammering
Lol that would be a really funny idea…. Get a screenshot next time, be funny
I was amusing Ronin (Jadin) with it one day
Just this one time!
Anet caves. Stacking ensues.
Week later.
Wait! No fair, my guild is split. Open it one last time.
Anet caves, super stacking ensues.
Two days later.
Wait! No fair!
Rinse. Repeat.
Week later.
Anet do something about the queues! Do something about server balancing! DO SOMETHING!
You’re the only one on the map but you can rally the troops from other maps to respond because you don’t call unless ABSOLUTELY necessary.
Dear me. This thread makes me appreciate WvWers. Some of the comments are just unbelievable, coming from adults.
You think the WvW players are being any more mature than the PvE players? You must have been reading a different thread. The WvW players were the ones spouting off such gems as
“I had to suffer so its only right that you have to suffer too”
not the PvE players
No I think the point was that legendaries shouldn’t be something given away like candy. If you want it, you need to master both game modes. It makes getting one extra valuable because you put in the work, whether it’s in pve that wvwers hate but follow the rules, or in wvw, that pve players flatly refuse to do.
You’re not seeing the dichotomy?
The bottom line is you have a choice. Put in the work and get the shiny, or just don’t get one. It really doesn’t have that much impact on your game play by not having one.
You get the scout of the week award and give it to two others, because your fellow scouts are as poor as you.
So what? Play! Try! Accept the results. What happens will happen. Seriously, spank your inner moppet or whatever your ego needs, preferably in private, and just play.
Is that what the kids are calling it these days? ;o
Could the Maguuma folks please go back to their own thread?
Thanks.
The enemy blob knows your solo guild tag.
Nice blobs SFR nice blobs
THEIR EYES ARE UP HERE, MISTER!
….. Oh wait, you said “blobs.”
Designing a serverless WvW system is a relatively simple matter.
There are 3 major issues with using EoTM style design however:
- Community based Teamspeak become impossible to manage. Thus, communities would die (or in this case, never have existed). The communities that have formed is pretty much the only reason for WvW still being a thing after 3 years.
- Guilds would not be able to organize GvGs and have to put in alot of work just to get the raid on the same map. You would pretty much kill raiding. They would never know what guilds they face either.
- Coverage would be a complete mess and pretty much ensure 1 side win every single week. One side having stacked nightcappers and its gg, no point in even playing WvW since nothing will change next week.
TL;DR if we had no servers we would have no WvW.
+1,000
Every time I read threads like these, it feels a bit like social engineering, then I feel afraid this is how it will go in HoT.
Your accent was charming, a foreigner with a sturdy resolve. We danced for what felt like hours, the windmill our backdrop – an ideal spot for a picnic. You lunged at me, passion in your eyes, a hunger for more …. But it wasn’t love. It was a thirst for my blood! I vanished in a poof of glitter and decided to set you up with my twin sisters instead.
