You likely didn’t encounter anyone who took the time to report your name until recently, so it’s more likely that you went under ANet’s radar than your name just suddenly became unacceptable.
Yeah, it’s far, far too easy.
I hope the Mordremoth fight will be a massive scale raid that requires effort, skill and coordination to succeed in.
You will not receive access to: Revenant, Heart of Maguuma, Elite Specialisations, story updates beyond LS2, possibly guild halls (citation needed), the mastery system, etc.
Essentially, you can still continue to access the game in it’s current form, but that’s it.
Honestly the guy in that video seems like a whiny kitten.
Levelling feels grindy? I mean really? GW2 has the least grindy leveling experience in the industry, in my opinion. The very fact that the reknown hearts ALL have multiple ways to complete them makes it less grindy. the dynamic events are fun when groups get involved.
This guy clearly doesn’t have the attitude for MMO gaming
I just join the full berserker groups anyway. Not like they can inspect your gear
can this topic get locked already?
This isn’t a bug, you’re supposed to get Canach’s shield and actively deflect, using the 1 power, the stun grenade back at him. Once you do it enough to disable him you can finish the fight as normal.
No shield drops
I think I saw this in another post: try going to one of the main cities (DR, etc) and talk to the trainer there. That fixed it for the previous poster.
That remedied my issue, guess the starting zone trait npc’s are locked out, and the wording on them is poor
Thank you very much.
Please let me know what happens to my GW2 if i am unable to afford expansion pack but wish to carry on playing GW2
I can’t believe that this expansion is pricing players out of the game. This game is truly becoming an art for elitists. Not just in price but in in- game politics too.
My heart simply saddens the more I learn about Heart of Thorns, as these thorns have truly scratched this gaming community. This will become a thorn in everyone’s side.
I can’t believe that there are people in the world without the money management skills to be able to afford to save up $50 over the course of the several months that it will take for HoT to release.
If you can’t afford to buy HoT, you likely have far more pressing things to be focusing on than playing GW2
I’m absolutely loving the sustain from DS4 when traited for vampiric presence. Works brilliantly with WH5 too, as it procs on every damage hit and has no ICD.
The lower level dungeons are hitting a lot harder now, especially the condi mobs in AC, and I’ve found people are actually seeking BM necro in LFG to make the runs faster and easier.
Necro actually wanted in Dungeons, I want to hump Anet’s leg so hard right now
Well, the mail sent to you by Tybalt when joining the OoW actually suggests you beat it to keep it from falling in to the wrong hands
Well, that’s a pity. I had heard this Super Adventure box was cool (youtube vids make it seem like epic fun) sad I won’t be able to experience this
The devs said they added so much to the engine for the new elites, but will we ever see DX11/12 support?
I’d like to point out that Cantha is inspired by Asia. This doesn’t mean that everything they add in game has to be an exact replica of Asian real world design, because Cantha is it’s own place.
Please don’t be that guy, OP. Please no.
Also, as has been pointed out, the in game hat design is prominent in vietnam.
I can’t believe somebody created this topic. And somebody followed up by saying he/she had arthritis and is painful to click.
I suggest you sue Anet for the amount of clicking they are forcing upon your hand. Because they ARE clearly forcing you to do that.
That right there is violation upon your human rights. Those kittens forcing you to click causing you pain
not at all what I was getting at, I’m just genuinely surprised by the lack of a “use multiple” context button for consumable stacks.
I honestly can’t count the times I’ve been holding control without thinking about it while on the lookout for nodes/objects/etc/whatever only to need to start fighting and ending up spamming guild/map/etc with my skill/item/etc links because I’ve clicked something with control held down.
I also see this happen a lot in map chats at events/in pvp/in wvw/etc. It would be really great for my fingers and really useful overall to have an option in the menu to toggle interactable object name hovers on/off (similar to the show all player/npc names. a “show all item names” option), rather than having to hold down a key to see things
Oh god, the e-lawyers are on the march, guys!
You do not have any right or permissions to sell items that are not available in game for sale through the TP/to merhchants, plain and simple either for gold or real money.
If you attempt it, and it goes kittens up, it’s all on you.
Great storyline and good episode overall, until the final fight. I have never experienced a more tedious and frustrating fight in all of GW2. The final fight is a massive clusterkitten that just isn’t enjoyable in any way.
I’d like this, not from a performance point of view, but to actually be able to see what the hell is going on at world bosses
Mini’s are not loot pets that you can find in other games, and looting is easy as kitten in this game anyway. All of these suggestions seem motivated by total and utter laziness. everything you have mentioned requires only a few clicks as it is, why would you need a system to automate the process?
Minis are collectables, and as such should not be subjected to menial labour tasks
I was on the thread, I said I’d be willing to pay for a subscription.
So not literally everyone on the thread.
But one of the biggest selling points to GW2 is the fact that it’s casual and buy to play, not a sub. If they suddenly introduced a subscription to the game I can see some people leaving (Some people are on a low income, and a game subscription isn’t exactly a necessity).
I adore GW2, and would gladly subscribe if they ever introduced the option to do so, I spend a fair bit on gems as it is to do my small part to support ANet
I’d rather be treated like a customer, as it’s what I am. I am a customer and client of a product and service, and I expect to be treated as such
I would pay 1000 gems for a hi-res Wolf mini pet that’s the size of the wolves in game.
Save yourself 1,000 gems and make a ranger.
I interpreted it as being only available in Heart of Maguma (otherwise I imagine it would invalidate a lot of jumping puzzles). But yes, Hang Glider mastery skills were mentioned as used to access various areas in the new map(s)
I wanted to expand on my post here: https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/livingworld/lwd/The-rebuilding-of-Lion-s-Arch/first#post4486699
I feel that it would be awesome fun, and a great way for the community to truly contribute to the shaping of the game world, for LA to by dynamically rebuilt through a series of events to donate resources and restore Lion’s Arch to it’s former glory.
An example of this would be something like:
[World Event] Restoration of Lion’s Court
Donate resources to the foreman to help restore the Lion’s Court
0/500,000 Copper donated
0/200,000 Iron donated
0/750,000 Mithril donated
0/100,000 Platinum donated
0/50,000 Orichalcum donated
0/500,000 Green Wood Logs donated
0/200,000 Soft Wood Logs donated
0/100,000 Hard Wood Logs
0/750,000 Elder Wood Log
etc etc etc.
And then when that completes, a new area opens up for restoration.
I just feel like this would be an awesome way for the community to get involved with really shaping the world and getting LA back to how it used to be
You watching too much SAO
Almost every MMORPG has casual activities to do in them, from fishing to minigames and playing musical instruments (The latter, we have in a basic capacity).
I was honestly incredibly surprised by the lack of casual, social acvtivities in the game when I first started playing, given the casual, social nature of the game itself.
There is no “easy” way really. Fractals have a decent chance of dropping ascended, but that’s about it.
Legendaries are designed to be costly and time consuming/ short of buying one outright, there are very few shortcuts one can take
Sounds to me like you’re getting unlucky with your parties. join a guild, do guild groups, screw the elitists who think everyone who dares to step in to a dungeon should know every exploit and shortcut there is.
Metrics confirmed that new players are too stupid to understand that being dead and having a big interface show up on your screen wasn’t a clear enough indicator that you can’t currently use your other skills.
The metrics said it.

What if someone is muslim? Their religion does not allow gay marriage and it’s a serious offense.
I’m guessing from what I’ve read in this thread so far, the majority would simply say that some opinions are right and some are wrong, so being a Muslim is just wrong.
Everyone’s entitled to their religious beliefs, but that doesn’t mean everyone else should dance around them for the pure sake of not offending them. If that was the way the world worked, a vast amount of everyday things would be off-limits.
I respect people’s personal religious beliefs, but religious people should respect that not everyone believes as they do, it’s quite simple really
Oh god I want it. I hope it’s gem store. they can have all my money
No. If there is ever any open PK content in the game, I will uninstall and not look back. Open PK and open world PvP are one of the biggest factors that contribute to game communities becoming unpleasant environments.
Welcome to the concept of value decreasing over time.
Look at WoW, they were doing a promotion for new players to get them in to the game where if they paid $60 for WoD, they get EVERY SINGLE OTHER EXPANSION EVER RELEASED (several hundred dollars going by each expansions release price) for just $5.
That’s the way the world works, with exception to a very small amount of items, the value of products tends to decrease over time.
TL;DR: Guild Wars 2 is kittening awesome.
I couldn’t agree more.
This is just pathetic. It’s taking them this long to fix it? It just shows where their priorities truly are, and that’s the gem store.
Their priorities, I would imagine, lie with fixing bugs with content that affects gameplay. A missing idle animation is insignificant compared with a bug that actually affects game progression.
And it’s also been stated a few times just since I started playing by staff, but they have different teams working on different aspects of the game (though you’ll likely find all gem store content was developed a while ago, and is simply set to a staggered release, requiring little upkeep)
I’d love a wardrobe/storage/etc for my perm gathering tools and toy items, keeping track of what character has what on it is tedious
group wide might stacking and throwing rainbows is fun though
Guild Wars 2: ArcheAge
Actually WoW MoP had them before AA.
and Aion had this mechanic for years, air currents and all.
As the saying goes, beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
I wrote a topic along the lines of this, but it sadly got merged in to that hideous blob of a “revenant feedback” topic (Good luck to the devs deciphering that).
I feel tying legend swap to weapon swap would make the class feel much, much better to play.
I see no reason to restrict weapon swap just to have one heavy class without swap for the sake of the medium and light class without swap.
The current iteration of the legend swap mechanic does not in any way feel like a good substitute for weapon swapping due to how locked in each weapon is to a specific legend. Elementalist attunement swap means every weapon fits every attunement and Engineer kits mean your weapon choice is not a hugely impactful aspect of the class, but with Revenant as it is, each weapon is very clearly designed to be used exclusively with a specific legend, and it really doesn’t feel fun to play that way. If legend swapping also swapped weapons, it would alleviate this feeling greatly.
Make warhorn 5 grant aoe swiftness and might stacks and make warhorn 4 a blast finisher, allow the staff skills to act as combo fields when not triggered, let spectral wall reflect projectiles and extend it’s active duration, swap out well of power’s dark field to a fire field and extend it’s active duration to 10 seconds.
There, I just made the necromancer a useful class in dungeons while barely impacting overall class balance or changing the feel of the class as a whole.
In edge of the mists, servers are grouped in to teams based on colour assignment. Overgrowth is all green coloured servers, Frostreach is all blue servers and Badlands is all red servers, you are not facing individual servers as you do in other WvW modes
DeWolfe — I’m sorry you’re inconvenienced by this situation, but honestly, it’s the best overall. The restrictions aid greatly in account security, just as early chat restrictions reduce in-game advertising of money-selling sites. I sure understand your frustration, but the limits will lift in a relatively short time, and ultimately, the player experience is better for having them in place.
Thanks for understanding.
I don’t really see why it’s for the best.
We pay money to access the game in the first place, why should there be restrictions on what we can do just because the account is young?
Free trial accounts I can understand, but not full paid accounts
I myself am leaning towards giving up Spite for Reaper to run a Reaper/Soul Reaping/Blood Magic build given that the Reaper line (in the iteration we saw last) has plenty of modifiers for damage on it’s own, and given how strong Vital Persistence will likely be when coupled with the LF generation of Reaper Shroud 1 (Permashroud, anyone?).
I’m aiming for general effectiveness in HoT PvE and WvW, rather than dungeon speed clears.
Thoughts? Opinions? What will you be giving up and why?
Question: Anyone know what the bottom right dye channel does? doesn’t seem to change anything for me
unfortunately, GS is the best dps weapon for every single class that can use it.
You’ll likely see necros also rocking greatswords when HoT comes out (when not in DS of course), because it’s bound to blow all other weapons out of the water in terms of dps.
2. This would be inappropriate for a T-Rated game,
based on how a majority would use it.
3. This would be nonsensical in a combat-driven world.
4. This has no forseeable positive effect on aggregate
player experience, and in turn not be worth a second of
a developer’s time.
Not sure how or why seeing a woman in a bra/bikini top is anything more than PG, to be honest.
Have you seen some of the armour designs? A fair few of them would be utterly impractical and some even a massive hindrance in combat
Players wanting the change makes it something positively impacting. look at mail carriers, they do bugger all for the game except change an animation you see for all of two seconds if you’re paying close attention, but they made it anyway
