Why stop with cat tails? Surely gw2 is crying out to have horse tails to swish. Dog tails to wag. Dragon tails to thrash. Peac’ock tails to display. And of course the attendant ears, hooves, claws or paws for each one. It would be a surefire gemstore feature.
ANet may give it to you.
I love the cat ears! <3 But tbh, a tail too? That would be too much.
You don’t see the bigger picture. All those female human meta toons with both cat ears AND tail would turn DR into a paradise for RPers. It would be a purr-fect world!
Happy to see it someday, but lets finish GW2 story arc with the dragons waking up first.
A scar – chest skin!
Big ugly scars! Maybe topless, maybe with very little clothes or even with compleath clothes that just look like they are destroyed in a battle!
You know how well the face-scar skibs sells and how well the missing leg/hand pirate skin sold – a scar chest piece would sell similar!
Hi there,
I have to say that the fight against Mordremoth looked great.
In the epizode: Hearts and Minds, we could see the important role of the Commander. I mean: the Commander is the most important and has to stand against dragon directly.’
Mouth of Mordremoth’s event is a stroke of genius. In the each island in Dragon’s Domain we can see representatives of organization or race. For example member of the Nightmare Court- Duchess Chrysanthea or Ibli- the Itzel.
Maybe this is a sign, that the Nightmare Court will change their minds towards Sylvari.
The Pact is not weakened, we lost the members of the Orders, but we have the Exalted, the Itzel and the Nightmare Court I believe.
And I believe that Lazarus will join to the Pact, I hope he didn’t lie.
I can’t wait what it means, that “this Egg could be the key to defeating the Dragons”. Does Aurene have a hidden power? Will she be the member of the Pact and will she fight against the Dragons, or will we use her ability to show the future? Maybe her
prophecies will show the Dragons’s weaknesses. The Egg showed that we will get to Mordremoth’s mind, but through Trahearne’s, so I can’t wait for next epizodes.

Ok, here are my opinions. Thanks for reading.

3000 candy corn always equals a new 20-slot bag, so I always keep them.
I ought to buy a bunch while the price drops for the event, too. Hmm.

I get the cat ears can feel non-sequitur for a lot of people who didn’t play GW1, but as someone who got them as her first Halloween hat in that game, I’m over the moon to see them in GW2. Give my Necro her elite Cabalist amour back and I’ll be done re-creating my main
Also if you read the trivia on the GW1 Wiki page, the ears were actually requested by ANet staff, not players and you can go complain to John Stumme for listening and making them.
dragons, I sometimes wonder if we’ll ever find a way to save us from ourselves.”
Agh! Must go and buy now. Yay!
I can’t speak for anyone else, but I have built up some gold teaching Zhaitan, Mordremoth, and Primordius what for. I would like to get into the real estate market and purchase a Home (Instance) in Lion’s Arch. Is this something that could be in the cards with a future update?
To be honest, the Guild Initiative office would be a good place for all those nodes. And cats.
I don’t know how you go about getting T4 VB maps so perhaps this can help you. I’ve had 100% success rate the last few weeks. I even organized one late that still managed to pull through to T4. The trick is to start a taxi early and announce it on your map. VB meta starts every 2 hours at XX:45 minutes and lasts 45 minutes till the end. Helicopters spawn at controlled camps with 20 min left on the timer. It is not possible to get T4 if you have 30min on the timer and still nothing is organized. If you join a map don’t expect others to do the work, start your own T4 taxi and explain what people should do when night falls (= spread out with 4-5 per camp that defend and upgrade their camps). You can ask others to create a taxi too and tag up at their camps. Make sure people communicate during nighttime by asking them if they need help or if a camp is unattended etc.
The event is only a true success when all bosses have been killed which in a way does make sense, because you didn’t eliminate all the threats in the jungle in time.
I think if they were toying with the idea of open world PvP, they wouldn’t make it so one-sided. The Ley-line people not only have no skills to retaliate with, they also apparently have next to no armor or HP, ensuring your time as a punching bag is a very short one.
If anything, I’d say they’re using this to show how bad open world PvP can be and are showing you you should be grateful GW2 doesn’t have it xD
Yeah, although I myself feel some hesitance towards Caithe is still warranted, I couldn’t help but think “are we still doing this?” when my Sylvari continued to give her a hard time in Tarir. I think we need to spend some time with her again, setting this record straight.
Anet, PLEASE. I am TIRED of my character being so snooty towards Caithe. I am personally beyond ready to forgive the poor character! She’s lonely, one of her old friends died, her ex died and attacked her as a plant beast, her old guild doesn’t exist any more, her tree mother is barely recovering from almost dying and can’t talk to her, no one understands her despite her explaining very clearly why she behaved the way she did while Mordremoth was tearing at her mind and she was freaking out.
My character is ALSO a Sylvari and should understand. I am sick of everyone, from my character to the supporting characters, pushing Caithe away and treating her like they don’t want her around. The rejection going on here is very cringe worthy and personally upsetting. The fact I can’t simply skip the cutscenes makes it annoying, mostly because Caithe continues to hang around and be emotionally abused by the only people she really knows. It’s gross.

I loved/love my cat ears in GW1, and I love them in GW2. Thank you, Anet. <3
Oh, so it was a thing in Guild Wars 1 too. Then, what are people uppity about anyways?
There are certain types of people that absolutely hate when other people have fun doing something that they don’t personally like.
Always torn on things like this. It’s great some players get something fun they wanted and that it funds the game, but a part of me feels like each time things like these appear it takes the game further away from having its own identity/theme.
I guess it keeps the game going ultimately
Since Cat Ears were a rather popular part of Guild Wars (One), I don’t think their return (to GW2) takes the game further away from having its own identity/theme. More like a nod to its past identity. Just my opinion, of course.
Some of us don’t like anime or Japanese culture, nor would we ever wear cat ears in real life. We just think cat ears on our GW2 character is a cute idea.
Thank you so much for the return of cat ears!!!!!!!
Can we back backpack cat tail now? Just lower the location.
What about a black cat-suit armor/outfit to go with the ear?
I am sooo happy for the GW1 ear return

So excited for Halloween! Read all about it here!
I am determined to conquer the Clocktower. I will be spending far, far too many hours in Labyrinth. And I can’t wait to get the new rewards.
We’re having a little dev meet-up on October 18th from 2:00 to 3:00 PM Pacific Time. Hope to see you there if you can make it, but anywhere and everywhere during the festival!

because if they’re going to use resources to help RP, do it right or just don’t bother at all.
It begs the question of what is “right”. I read over the earlier suggestion about formatting cues in /emote, but all that does is make it easier to spam text blocks, which completely misses the OP’s complaint, which is the nuisance factor of large blocks of potentially-cringe-inducing text showing up via /emote.
The most convenient solutions ANet can deliver is smaller emote range and clickable names to make block/reports easier. Which would suit me just fine.
But, the suggestion does have me thinking what a really cool, very robust chat interface would look like. Something that would really encourage roleplayers to do what they do and have the tools to make it more interesting.
And if ANet needs a financial incentive, roleplayers are the ones probably more likely to buy extra character slots for character concepts over system builds and buy cosmetic items like outfits, possibly to suit a specific character. Just sayin’.
So I’d propose an actual interface, an actual Roleplaying Panel, on the same row as the PvP and WvW icons. It would be a place for:
- better emote/writing structure, including longer text buffers and formatting shortcuts
- range limited visibility so RP groups on the same map don’t talk over each other
- a way to find other RPers by acknowledging who is listed as Active and Open (instead of Private) and keeping Public RP visible in the chat window
- better report tools and more enforceable standards on content, so trolls actually get the ban hammer
- an option to mask names within the RP Panel so players can represent their own ‘NPCs’ in storylines without having to make alternates
It’s all stuff that a simple re-tooling of a chat window isn’t cut out for, and it’s a tool I’d love to see in place for roleplayers to make the most of their experience.

Well, gw2 finally got the cat ears (gw1throwback). Time to see if this year’s costume (outfit) is also throwback ( hopes for Vale Wraith). At least people can try to make the bat wing shoulder peice again if they haven’t fished it. I just want to buy the Mad Memoir’s (green one) for candy corn cobs
There’s already been Halloween themed stuff in the gem store and there’s a new batch up today. (Including cat ears which are brand new!)
The festival hasn’t been announced yet, but it’s almost certainly coming and will probably be the same as last year.
“Life’s a journey, not a destination.”
I vehemently defend the actions of the players in the video.
What’s vehemently mean? He was trying to behave and even told others to.
Sooooo… the endgame throws you a ton of blues and greens.
Their value is worthless.
Their runes are worthless.
Their luck boost is minimal.
The times you have to stop to salvage them to make some inventory space is to kitten High.
I believe this wasn’t intentional by A-net, at least at launch. At that time, they actually believed that the exotic had enough rarity and effort value to justify it as end game gear.
So here is the deal.
Nobody actually wears all the blues and greens that drop on large metas like the silverwastes. All they do is ether salvage or sell them.
How about… instead of droping blues and greens, the mobs and bags actually droped mostly salvagable materials. They could ether be salvaged for materials or sold for gold to the vendors or trade-post if you are full. It could be aranged so that ocasionally some good essence of luck would drop for those who still care about it.
The only actual difference that would make is in inventory space, since all the salvageable materials are stack-able, and you are getting rid of those minor runes that barely have any vendor price.
Rares and exotics would continue to drop normally.
This would only occur on lvl80 content, since blues and greens are still valuable on leveling characters.
Alternatively, how about having the system give your character salvageable materials instead of blues and greens automatically when you are over-looting them.

Also I never saw any Female Dwarves in Guildwars.
Sure you did. They were the ones with beards.
Ogden Stonehealer: “How do you know you haven’t already met a female dwarf? Eh? Eh?”
ANet may give it to you.
I want a halloween back piece that works like the golem back piece because I want to hear all the puns the mad king could make about boons
