It’s the chain I beat you with until you
recognize my command!”
While this is a small QoL fix, I for one greatly appreciate it. Having a bigger, easier to see button to accept or reject a party invite just makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside. Thanks!!
MORE jumping puzzles of this length and difficulty one day I do hope! 10/10! This is the reason I loved the Tomb Raider series so much and I get that old feeling again with this, it’s fantastic.
And BTW — thanks for actively looking for solutions to the communications issues. I know a lot of the response has been negative so far, but I (and I’m sure many others) genuinely appreciate the effort you’re putting in.
I’ve repeatedly made it clear that, IMO, the solution to the issues will require a policy change on ArenaNet’s side, so I won’t start beating that dead horse. But I think it’s great that you’re looking for new things to try, and most importantly, running them past the community before implementing them. That’s the sort of approach we’d like to see applied to changes in other areas of the game, not just PvF!
Kudos high-fives
I haven’t completed it yet as I have been kind of casually exploring and trying the puzzle/maze, but I would just like to add that this area is incredible and the best zone yet. Every time I thought I’d seen how big the place was it got bigger!
Great work Anet!
My friends and I just spent the last 2+ hours in this puzzle and it was so much fun:D So thanks for all the hard work that was put into this explorers dream of a puzzle!
It’s not the destination that matters but the journey to get there. Well done!

Thank you for the JP! It was so much fun.
This is about the best we have concerning the origins of the world, the elder dragons and the ancient races:
The World of Tyria: http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Tyria_%28world%29
The Elder Dragons: http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Elder_Dragon
The presumption seems to be that during the elder dragons’ last awakening they almost completely wiped out the world. A small number of the elder races survived, but they were effectively thrown into a Dark Age and much of history was either completely lost or blurred into legend and myth. History essentially started over with the last awakening.
First let me address the “US resident” thing. It breaks my heart when we have to do this — for contests, for this program, for other things — but we really must do it for legal reasons. Different countries have different definitions of volunteer work and we simply do not have the means to have the program reviewed and adjusted to conform to multiple legal requirements that may apply to any given volunteer opportunity.
I think a lot of potential good candidates wont be eligible simply because of the USA requirement.
Yes, that is very true and I regret it more than I can say. This is a pilot program and we may be able to extend it in the future, though.

I like the salvage highlight but turned off the new item highlight right away. However, it’s great that they made it so you CAN turn it off. So plus plus all around from me on these changes. Thanks!
Thanks guys! You saved ma bacon!
Good changes. I knew Anet would nerf the disablers a bit. They did it quicker than I thought they would.
These are welcome adjustments. Thank you, Arenanet!
Just wanted to say I seriously love Silverwastes, its my favorite map. So far its been a great combination of fun events and incredibly rewarding. And the new music just keeps getting better, new battle music would be great too! It’s also been great for doing dailies or just those times I feel like battling hordes upon hordes of monsters.. It reminds me of Battle for Lion’s Arch with the warzone setting which was one of the best Living Stories, along with the Marionette Fight…(We need more of that…great battle music during that fight btw). A few things can be tweaked but overall really great fun in Silverwastes.
The end game is grindy only if you value quantity over quality of your play. If all you care is about acquiring the most legendaries, getting ultimate dominator in wvw and champion title in every class in in pvp then it will be very grindy indeed.
Alternatively, if you care more about things like flawlessly soloing a dungeon, being a WvW commander who can defeat enemies even when outnumbered, or winning organized PvP tournaments it isn’t a grind at all.
In short, if the game is checking off boxes to you it will be a grind. if the game is about improving your playskill, it won’t be.
Pure comedy.
Wondering why they are losing players and the game is stale…but then they want to game the matches lol.
Where did anyone say anything about “gaming” the matches? I’m not a fan of all this server leader nonsense but come on. No one said a word about fixing the matches in any way shape or form.
Not to speak for Nox, but I’m guessing it’s the part in the dialog where the leaders are talking about taking turns having a “push week”, which implies that the matches are pre-determined who is going to win. Of course why would you even want one side to win, unless it was to make sure that the 3rd ranked servers’ glicko rating never dropped low enough so that a T2 server could end up in a T1 match.
One would have to check the glicko history to see if there was a pattern of gaming T1 matches to keep T1 intact.
What they said.
The forums will never give you an accurate representation of players opinions, and no one can ever tell you what you should think of the new content. The best way to find out is to give it a go.
Log into the game, visit the new maps, get a friend or guild member to show you the new story if you haven’t got it unlocked yourself. If you don’t like it all you’ve lost is a bit of time and at least then you’ll know. If you do then you can carry on playing.
The forums are about the worst place to look for opinions on a game.
Seems easy to me Put it away. No confusion there just common sense.
Here is what lore we have says:
The Dominion of Winds, referred to by its inhabitants as the aerie, is the inaccessible city of the tengu. Built atop the island formerly known as Sanctum Cay, the tengu of the world migrated here after the rise of Zhaitan, an event which they call the Great Tsunami.
There are entrances at Quetzal Bay in the Caledon Forest and the Dominion Killing Zone in Kessex Hills, however both are currently closed off. The Shuttered Gate in Lion’s Arch is said by its tengu guards to lead to the Dominion of Winds, but isn’t likely to lead directly there as Lion’s Arch is not directly next to the Dominion of Winds, and recently the guards have been refusing to let anyone pass.
The compendium will unlock the tag for all characters, which you can switch on/off at will from the party menu. Once consumed, the compendium essnetially unlocks the ‘Commander Tag Option’ rather than you having to switch anything from char to char.
Try creating a new character with the name you want first. I’ve done this in the past where I wasn’t sure if the name I wanted would be taken so I first created a new character with my name of choice, found it wasn’t in use, deleted said character and proceeded to purchase the name change contract. No gold wasted and only a little bit of extra time spent.

Context seems to be missing so really don’t get it.
I have to agree, the BL Key was a nice addition. Originally I was rather P.O.ed about not getting a glove box for every toon that completed it, but have since come to terms on that and find it only a very slight annoyance rather than a real issue. In the end, I think I prefer this key reward.
Simply put, thanks!
Read the ready up notes. These changes are top notch lads.
Praise da lawd it’s happening.
I had to bite my tongue concerning that post, so I will just +1 yours, instead, FF.
Thanks, Gaile. I think that would probably be more lucrative, and less confusing. =)
Is she responsible for creating all that living story story stuff? Its could be explanation why we must again and again fight all those plants and dealing with sylvari and all this girl style stuff:-)
“girl style stuff” is not something that exists. But thanks for being completely un-constructive and sexist.
