After almost a year and completely find that GW2 had changed so much. I start to appreciate the effiency of the devs in GW2 in terms of speed of fixes, class balances and content. Yes, some stuffs are delayed but imagine ESO could not even fix guild bank and took weeks to fix gamebreaking exploits and still could not fix the problem. You wont see ppl working together for world events coz there are non.

My point is, be thankful to GW2 team for a good game with high replayability. I am enjoying the dungeons, pvp and world bosses. Thank you Anet, you guys are great.

How many times now has Anet said they have no plans to bring GW2 to consoles?

Let’s add one more to the tally.

We currently have no plans to port Guild Wars 2 to console.

So why is this game called GW2?

To be fair the original Guild Wars game had very little to do with the actual Guild Wars as well.
In fact, we have more actual guild wars in this game than we ever had in Guild Wars 1.

it sounds super productive just hanging out in a ring with 15-20 of your guildies while the opposing forces run around taking the ppt structures. maybe if you moved this idea to a a non-borderland zone, say lions or div, then 15-20 slots would be open for players who willing to attack/defend

Issue with Sigils

They intentionally fixed this because it wasnt working as intended before.
Before you could use a weapon wit ha stacking sigil and once you had 25 stacks, swap to another weapon with another sigil on it and keep your stacks.
The way you would like them to fix it would make this exploitable again by putting a stacking sigil on your underwater weapon, get stacks under water and keep your stacks on land, while using a different sigil.

CDI's don't really make a difference

It is really sad that the fairy tale/lie about the uselessness of CDIs always comes back. There are so many improvements that were inspired by different CDIs.

  • wardrobe
  • account-bound ascended weapons
  • commander tags
  • LW journal
  • grail quests for traits
  • guild-driven worldevents
  • new trick
  • WvW-like map
  • stepwise opened map

and much more…

CDI's don't really make a difference

From my experience at work, improving/addressing issues is done through these steps

1. Gathering information (hence the CDI)
2. Validating and Organizing information (checking which concerns are really necessary and which is high priority)
3. Considering the resources available (to check whether or not Arenanet have the money, manpower and time to work on them)
4. Creating an action plan.

From the looks of things, they are taking action but just very slowly. And in addition, one should never get their hopes up too much when they provide feedback as there are hundreds of users voicing their concerns and it all boils down to checking what they all have in common specifically and working on it first.

That’s my whole take on it anyway. Nothing wrong with following it up, it’s just that you shouldn’t expect those all those changes to be realized quickly.

i feel like this is a lie

The person asked what the shadow behemoth was….which means it didn’t spawn at all? They could have at least gotten the pre done to show him what it was. The event still happens even if there are only 2 people there.

I have been world boss training all day, and on each of my 5 Shadow Behemoth kills there were at least 50+ killing him.

maybe the person is mis-informed about world boss timers and it wasn’t even the right time for the boss anyways

idk, something seems fishy

There is nothing to be fixed.

Some people like to farm, they typically have an instance just for that.
Some people like to do organized runs, holding and defending all the forts, etc.
Some people just pug along and call out for help as needed.

Essentially all of them chest hunt between events or alongside escorts.

All you need to do is hop to an instance that fits what you’re looking for. Let others play how they want.

Don’t look at me like that. Whatever you’ve heard, it’s probably not true.

24 hours from account creation.

There is a handful of things that deal with the in-game economy that a new account has to wait minimum 24 hours before they can do it.

We all had to wait the 24 hours when we started our accounts and so can you.

Even those of us that had the 3 day head start had to wait 24 hours.

Certain click macros allowed now?

Personally I wouldn’t risk it because what does and does not give a gameplay advantage is a very grey area.

My understanding has always been that this is one the reasons Anet have stuck to simply saying macros are not allowed – that way they can ban anyone they consider to be taking unfair advantage without having to argue the point.

This topic is talking specifically about playing in-game instruments. I wouldn’t assume that extends to anything else unless it’s confirmed by a dev.

But that’s just my take on it, what risks you take with your account are up to you.

Going Silverwastes I never get tired of the engine sounds of the airships above and the distant barrage of cannon fire at the fort across the map.

I can walk into the Priory tent and see detailed blueprints of the airship and pact weapon designs. There is a strategy table there that has complex warmaps of the entire zone and where the forts + airstrikes are happening complete with little plastic figurines.

You can go as far as to translate the krytan script on some of the designs and posters and actually read what they say.

Random NPCs have banter like the explosives demonstration that the Asura shows the Charr.

Truly a reminder that this is a quality game and always will be.

I created gw2mb.com, so I feel a certain obligation to weigh in after reading the posts here.

I spent 6 months of my free time creating that website.

I didn’t do it to undermine people who play manually.

I did it because I love music.

I wanted a place for people to share the music that they create.

It hurts a little to read these posts about people who purposefully insulate themselves from the site and don’t post their compositions there. Who cares if somebody uses your song in the form of a macro? It should be about sharing and spreading music throughout the game.

I hope the talented individuals who play manually will eventually come to see things my way. Because if they do and they post their compositions on my website it will benefit everyone.

Well i love the glorious armor they added to pvp , but i don’t play pvp at all. So if i would want it , i’d have to play something i don’t necessarily like. This doesn’t mean Anet is “forcing” me to play a certain way, it’s simply Anet adding incentive to try other playmodes or was of playing or things to do.

There are many cosmetic items that are tied to achievements and not available through playing in the map. And i don’t see that as a mistake. It adds incentive to do something else, and if that something else you really don’t like to do, then you aren’t forced to do it. I love the glorious armor, i’m not a fan of pvp, as such i’m not pvp’ing to get the armor. it’s all a matter of how much you really want it, and its not that it will be removed from the game alter on, so you can always try again later, no need to them immediately after you finished.

Search Party’s Log,
Scion 85, 1327AE
We’ve been searching for Lady Tempest in the Priory library for days now. Fortunately, the Priory cooks are keeping a constant supply of food going… I wonder if it’s coincidence that the entryway into the library annex is hidden in the kitchen, or simply a matter of making sure those Priory eggheads remember to eat?
You’d think it wouldn’t be hard to find someone in a library, however in the week that Lady Tempest’s guild waited before dispatching us the library has been filled to standing room only. The Priory attendants apologised for the crowd and claimed that they weren’t expecting such a strong response. When we were far enough away to do so without blowing our cover, Agent Ihaz cracked that when you make an army of bookworms, then field soldiers or not, of course there’s going to be a stampede when you open the doors to the formerly hidden library.
Despite the small size of the library, it takes hours of gentle squeezing and apologies, day or night, to push from one side of the library to the other. Some of the scholars have even set up sleeping rolls in some of the more open storerooms so they don’t have to push their way back to the main entrance. Inquiries have revealed a few scholars that reported seeing someone matching Serine’s description, but by the time we reach the reported section of the library, all evidence indicates that they have moved on.
We’ve kept someone posted at the fireplace day and night to catch her returning to the kitchen, but either she brought her own library-friendly supplies, or she was missed in the constant stream of scholars emerging, tucking into a hurried meals, and washing and drying their hands before pushing straight into the library.
We will continue the search, but I fear it might not be until Wintersday before we finally succeed in locating Lady Tempest and dragging her away from these books. If the other scholars are any indication, she will probably be kicking and screaming all the way.
But quietly. This is a library, after all.

Exactly waht Lordkrall said, once you purchase the luminescent scrap, it gets unlocked in the collection achievement, and is no longer of any use. “Crafting” the luminescent shoulderpiece in that case is untrue, it’s simply unlocking the items needed for the collection, similar to all other collections.

So no need to worry, you’ll still get those shoulderpieces

Brewfest!

Erukk.1408

No thank you. I really don’t see why GW would need to copy WoW on that regard, especially if it’s basically just a reskin of Brewfest.

If they did want to add a festival concerning the Norn, they should make the annual Great Hunt into one. Add a collection of new champs and legendary animals in certain areas for the duration of the festival, have players kill them to collect trophies for different rewards (animal skin and bone armor and weapons come to mind), and set up banquet tables in certain party areas that give players food buffs and the like. Towards the end of the festival, last week or something, the actual Great Hunt mission/mini-dungeon would unlock, and the players can kill whatever monster it is for a reward.

It would make a lot more sense than something like Brewfest.
