Guild Wars 2

To be fair, literally everything added this update i loved.
The epic space time travel seeing everything.. i wish we had a gemstore item to get back in there… i LOVED it.

The weapon department did a fantastic job, I love the black lions ley line skin, And the bug hunting weapons are very very cool especially the way on how to aquire them.

Thanks Anet, Thanks for making me have your game in my playlist.
I will now proceed with trying to find that unidentified bug!

But this really has been a great update.

When the Dust Mite Twister champion spawns, it also spawns a Chicken-Ado in the new part of the zone. It’s an achievement to catch a chicken that pops out of it, and the event revolves around rescuing chickens from it.

OH MY GOD! that final cutscene was A..maaa…zingly cool

Just wanted to say that final cutscene is fantastic! Probably my favorite in GW2 so far. Overall, Season 2 has been much better imo and in the opinion of my guildies. Nice work!

You can say anything about Guild Wars 2, but even haters have to admit that visuals in this game are one of the best and ArenaNet has, in my opinion, the best artists in the industry. This patch only proves that, period!

Hello, Im a new member of the GW2 community as of just last nite.

I had to post in case anyone else is dealing with the problem I myself had throughout last week, which was: Now having a computer capable of playing nice games, I was searching for a new home. It was new and exciting to actually have options on which games to play based on their content, instead of playing the only games in the genre I enjoyed that could run on my machine.

After burning through all the f2p games with feelings ranging from utter boredom (Rift, sorry i played WoW for 2 years…), to awe over graphics followed by awe that a game could attempt to use such beautiful graphics as a crutch for utterly empty, hollow gameplay (tera), to sadness (neverwinter…such an awesome looking/playing world..if only it was actually a social open-world game), I began to search for a P2P game. Long story short, 1 trial and 1 refund for an absolutely unfunctional client later (i wont name names….but heres a hint: The games names start with EVE and end with Wildstar), I was almost ready to accept defeat. Fellow employee/gamers at my job scared me well away from ESO, so I actually came to GW2 as a last resort. It was here that I leared my lesson. I can write pages and pages about how awesome, how different, how beautiful GW2 is, but thats for you to discover. What I AM going to suggest to anyone in this situation…do your research. Dont just read one review and take their word for it. A nice place to look is Wikipedia, for most mmo’s at the bottom it will display game review ratings from a number of big name game-reviewers which allows you to compare and get an overall idea or an average. Here is what I will tell you: Performance wise I still can’t believe what im seeing, this game runs absolutely perfect on my machine which is merely average these days.

I think they should either be blocked from entering WvW for 10 mins or be transformed into a chicken for 15 mins, (timers start when you try and enter WvW.

Chicken Life (15 mins) You have been deemed a chicken and must live the life of one.

During this time, you have no control over your character as you live the life of a chicken. If you die you turn into a roast chicken, providing the enemy with a feast before respawning. If you chicken out of this chicken mode, 10 mins is added to the time. If you Alt+F4 while in combat within 6 hours of your last punishment, all time is added up (15+10+15 mins).

Funny, I find the maps in Guild Wars 2 are far superior to the alternatives I have played. The map is much more beautiful and actually shows the features of the land with it. Zooming in and out is much more fluid as well. Other games, such as WoW, Wildstar and FFXIV have horrible maps by comparison.

One thing you should note is that, even though the borders are often square / rectangular, the landscape is not. For example, mountains often range across many zones and into the middle of others. This is the same with bodies of water. The rectangular shape, is more similar to artificial boundaries (such as states in America, many of which are rectangular/square).

I’m sorry that you find the maps immersion breaking, but I’m happy to say that it does the opposite for me.

I have never had this happen to me. I’ve been playing since beta. And you say this happens half the time to you? I hate to ask, but are you at all rude to these people?

I love your passion, drive, and determination. And hey, maybe I just have a thing for underdogs. You have my vote Blu! Maybe you can make a “Rocky” story out of it

Blu does more for the PvP community than anyone else on the NA “All-Star” list. If anyone deserves a spot it’s him.

You’re emo for all the wrong reasons. You seem to be confusing this event with some sort of top-tier competitive tournament, where personal ability is the factor that decides whether a person is qualified to participate. In actuality this event is about as far from competitive as can be. Gamescom is a show match between PUGs made up of folks in the GW2 PvP scene. I repeat, a show match. As such, BLU is probably the most qualified person to go.

Think what you will of BLU’s personal skill as a PvPer, that’s totally irrelevant. The dude has done more for the PvP scene than anybody else, even more than ANet themselves. There would be no scene if it wasn’t for BLU. It would be ludicrous if one of the most recognizable names in GW2 PvP did not participate in a promotional event such as this.

I love this game! This whole new LS2 is really looking like it will be a super cool story line. The fact that Anet is adding in things that players are now seeing and going “wait a minute, that wasn’t there yesterday”……people now watching the vines grow….trying to figure out where it’s going and what it’s doing…..talk about sucking some of the playerbase into it all! I can’t wait to get on tonight and check out some of these areas and maybe see more growth and the vine continuing on to…….where???

If you can’t survive in greens while levelling buy rares then exotics they cost about 10 silver. If you can’t survive in those you won’t survive in ascended.

You know, you’re not really supposed to want these things to happen. You’re supposed to feel a sense of loss when it happens. After an entire season of the living story, I think it should be pretty clear at this point that nothing is sacred.

That’s a good thing really. It’s much more reflective of how things operate when “the lands are in dire peril” and whatnot.

Plus, you get to go all hot an vengeful when they blow up your favorite stuff. I was extremely involved in the LA fighting because I liked that place so much. It felt right and made me feel just a tiny bit closer to my character in that time.

Luckily, it seems that adding new zones is going to be a regular occurrence now as well, so there should be no shortage of new favorite places to discover in time as well.

So you’ve got into a T4 map of Dry Top and want to know the most efficient way to get geodes for your rewards. Well here it is, follow this pattern of events in the order listed and you should get 110+ geodes an hour.

At top of the hour
- Crystal Race
- Moa
After 5m
- Nochtli
- Queen
After 10m
- North Mine
After 15m
- Crystal Race
- Moa
After 20m
- Nochtli
- Queen
After 25m
- North Mine
After 30m
- Crystal Race
- Moa
After 35m
- Nochtli
- Queen

Sandstorm appears at 40m mark
You want to be standing at the demolition gear near the mine at this point.
- Mine Blockade
- Escort Haze
- Skritt Burgler
After 45m
- Devourer Queen
After 50m
- Dust Twister
- Escort Haze (you may need to move between this event and twister to get credit for both)
After 55m
- Dust monster

This is of course the zerg route, if other people aren’t doing the other events that spawn on the map you won’t be getting T4, so not everyone can do this… but I was able to do it for 4 hours this morning for a total reward of 460 geodes (including some from dust).
