Gasp! Aphrodite, cover yourself! (Image is censored so no one gets offended)
It’s probably been discussed in a thousand topics already, but I’ll bring it up again anyway: Go to a museum and you see a lot of naked/half-naked statues and paintings everywhere. That’s just how the gods were depicted back then. What I’ve gathered is that the Zodiac outfits are supposed to be god-like, so to go with that theme I don’t feel there’s anything wrong with the current design of the outfits. I actually quite like them, because the more blue skin/suit/whatever it is they show, the more ethereal it looks with the glow and all.
That said, there are very many revealing outfits in the GW2 world that were probably made just to give players some eye-candy, but that discussion doesn’t belong in this thread. The zodiac armor in my opinion is completely justified. Besides, if you preview the armor on your character and leave the helmet out it does very much look like your character is just wearing a bright blue morphsuit with some armor on top, which is great at shattering the illusion that the blue would be actual skin showing.
It is a bodysuit. If you are reading more into it than that, I feel sorry for you.
Please note the only “skin” showing is her face.
How about…
…logging in to play the game, analyze it a bit and then come up with your own opinion as well as suggestions on gameplay improvement instead of posting a provoking thread?
…not forcing “worth” as an antonym to “zerg” when speaking of a large-scale multi-alliance invasion into the most important city in Tyria?
Ah, my bad, I forgot we’re playing Forum Wars 2 here, not Guild Wars 2. I should go check if my browser has already fetched an update for this Living Story.
What convenient placement. Thaumanova Mk. II here we go.
So I would assume that the drill bit is somewhat like a battery terminal. Conclusions:
- The sounds coming from under LA were the ley lines all along. Unless there is also an ED at the intersection (some interpretations of the thumper maps had the EDs at the tips of the ley lines, so if you agree with those maps this scenario is unlikely).
- If she is indeed after an ED she is probably leveling up her airship by siphoning off magic out of the ley line intersection (or at least, she plans to).
- I even further doubt that LA is the final target.
- I wonder what that Skritt who enjoyed rummaging around in the sewers has to say.
-Water level is lowering (noticable mostly around Grand Piazza and Farshore Ward)
This indicates that there must be a massive volume of air under LA; because aren’t the harbors connected directly to the sea? In order for the water level to be lower [locally] the rate of flow into the caverns must be immense – unless Scarlet blocked off the harbor somehow so that she could physically access the caverns. Will the new LA be partially built in these caverns? Is the new map we have been asking for going to be below LA? Are these caverns possible one way to access a specific ED? Primordius seems logical, Mordremoth is very plausible.
It really sucks to be missing out on this stuff and it makes me feel like I made the wrong choice.
I would suspect the other orders have their own NPCs that either explain the same thing, or, further flesh out the information – we just haven’t found them yet.
Anyone else find it poetic that we have come round in a complete circle? The LS started with us freeing refugees, and we are now doing it again.

Why? What’s wrong with exposing the form of breasts or legs, or skin?
When I’m doing life drawing classes, none of the people are laughing at nude models or get disgusted after seeing male genitalia.
Quite frankly I find these complaints quite childish.
Now,whether the ascetics are done good or not, that’s a different question.Armor is supposed to be protective.
No its not. Armor in video games is not meant to be protective. Its meant to look good, sexy, interesting, cool or kitten. End of story.

I want Scarlet to pump dragon energy straight into the Ley Line turning LA into Thamunova 2.0, leaving nothing but destruction and chaos energy in the shattered remains of the city making it completely uninhabitable.
It doesn’t pull at your heart strings if it can come back, make this sting Anet, just like Ascalon, and Sieran, and Snaff
As their mother, I have to grant them their wish. – Forever Fyonna
Or to put it another way… (see pic below)
But, concerning the OP. It does seem a bit much, but I guess we should be glad Anet saved it’s really impractical “capitalize on gamer kittens” armor designs for gear that turns you into a ethereal statue thing, rather than on regular armor that would almost certainly have nips on full display with the cups that low.
Edit: Hopefully we all understand what I typed in place of “kitten”

I rather have them make sure they have a patch working and tested at leas a few days before.
You must be disappointed on a daily basis expecting absolute perfection and precision timing from everyone and fully expecting nothing to ever go wrong.
I’m sorry, dude. You’ve blown this out of proportion to an incredible degree.
They have been patching on the same time for over a year. You may expect them to launch on that same time..
No they haven’t.
They have never been on the same time actually.
The same general area of time, yes, but the exact same time? Nope. I don’t even think two patches have ever been released at the exact same time.
And to be fair they did tell us back during the “usual” release-time that it would be delayed.

Anet launches the patch during the typical American workday on the day they announced it, so it will launch between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. pacific.
Indeed. This has always been the case. Why is the OP so surprised?
Patches have always been around the same time, somewhere about 6 hours ago.

Because the recent updates, for the last 6 months at least, have been between 4 and 7 PM GMT.
With that timeframe we always had the chances to play before going to bed. With today’s time, we don’t.
Scarlet can`t get on main LA server. She needs taxi.
I’m in the UK, so their afternoon is my midnight XD
This is not OCD.
OCD relating to the Mystic Forge would be something like always using it an even number of times and having to make sure you have no rares or crystals or whatever you were putting in left in your inventory at the end, which may require an entire sub-routine of what to do if you do have odd items left to make sure you can get rid of them.
Not because you think it will give you better luck but because you cannot stand the thought of doing it any other way. If you tried to leave that left over crystal in your bag you’d be unable to stop thinking about it, even after logging off and going to do something else.
What you’re talking about is superstitions. Things you think improve your luck, or at least make you feel like you have a better chance even if you know it doesn’t make a difference.
I haven’t used the Forge enough to have one there, but I always close my eyes when opening chests because I think I get better drops.
“Life’s a journey, not a destination.”
It’s a waste of time to kill veterans because 90% of the time we get a useless piece of GREY item or a white. On the rare occasion, maybe a rare if we’re lucky. How are we supposed to make gold for really expensive dyes other than FGS trains until our eyes explode???
You’re doing it wrong. I would suggest you focus on killing Champs for loot boxes.

I don’t want to disappoint you, but those decorations are a KIT.
NPCs, Scripts, Event instas, + an effected model pack. It is easy to reuse anywhere, any time.
At least I’m happy for the new opportunities, and I’m interested to have a deeper look on that Vigil HQ. That is the only true castle in the game (apart from the floating one), when there should be some more.
@ my redesign topics I’ve highlighted some point about the redesign.
Even if the main ways are missing/changed, its very useable.
I doubt AN will rebuild it without serious changed, or even better, totaly new mix, otherwise it will be a huge facepalm. And LA will be the same boring & laging HUB place.
“A man chooses; a slave obeys.” | “Want HardMode? Play Ranger!”
So my ASUS laptop is currently out of service for repairs and in the mean time I always decide to check the forums for news/events and all iv’e been seeing are consecutive complaints about the game. My question is why? Why am i seeing non-stop forum post’s of people complaining about the game when GW2 compared to hundreds of other RPG’s is unrivaled. People are complaining about not enough “content” or the “same-old” repetitive tasks…..Last time i checked, if you go on any other MMO they wont have nearly as much content as GW2, nor will they provide as much to their customers as ANET has. Sure some things can be improved in GW2 but no MMO is truly perfect. Iv’e come to realize that there is more to a game than just the content, you should admire the artistic aspect behind it and the community as a whole. Within my 8 months of service to the game iv’e come to realize that the community itself is far better then any other MMO I’ve been on, and its truly the people that make the game, not the game itself.
So my advice to all you haters is this. Keep the complaints to a minimum and stop making the game seem pathetic to all these new subscribers that come on the forum. If you cant, simply go to your control panel, uninstall the game and see how long you last without it.

LION’S ARCH IN TRANSITION
Over the next several months Lion’s Arch will be in a state of rebuilding. Starting with this release we will be redesigning LA into a more grandiose and exciting adventure than it has ever been. The city’s instance has been optimized to encompass a much larger number of people without any adverse effect to Frame Rate, in fact we expect Frame Rates to increase.

I’m actually a little surprised that no one so far has mentioned Ascalon, outside of a joke. Have we all forgotten what happened to Ascalon city in the first place?
Once upon a time, Ascalon city and the surrounding area was a beautiful, idyllic place where it felt like nothing worse than an enraged bull or an inconveniently-located bee hive could ever disrupt the way of life that humans enjoyed within its walls. And then it was cataclysmically destroyed — permanently.
I’m sure all of us who were around to see that have never forgotten how it felt. I’m sure all of us still feel those feels every time we traipse through the ruins of the city, which still has not been rebuilt I might add, and never will be.
That event was known as The Searing. For many of us who have been around for a long time, that event was central, even focal, to our fascination with Guild Wars and its lore. Perhaps it is bold of me to suggest that what we need is another Searing. Not literally of course — just an event of that scale, an event that permanently takes away something that has felt like it will “always just be there,” something that reminds us that there is no wall that can not fall; that we are not truly safe anywhere in the dangerous, ever-changing world of Tyria.
What did Southsun Cove have to do with anything?
We actually had one of these back in November 2012.
It didn’t go all that well.

A.
Loading screens seem reason enough. Though another is arrogant players with shinies.
Yes, because destroying LA will cause those two to disappear, instead of moving to the next social hub.
Well in my ideal scenario, players would be congregating across the five capital cities, which would eliminate those problems. Additionally, each city would maintain its own sort of “flavour” depending on how the community on your server adopts each city as “home.”
