Goodbye to helping each other out

There’s dead and there’s downed, very different situations. If there is a heated battle going on, no matter where, WvW, Fractals, Dungeons, Events, you never stop to mess with the dead. The dead need to waypoint themselves if possible so they can get back and help. Sometimes it’s OK to wait for a rez, but it’s very situational.
Getting yourself downed to raise the dead is just stupid. As for the downed, it’s a judgment call. If your already low on health, downing yourself makes no sense. Staying alive and killing an enemy has got to be the smartest choice. If your healthy, then healing a downed person is best because they are an asset once they are back on their feet, unless they are a rally bot. If someone continuously goes down, they are just weighing the party down.
The toxic who get downed. the most annoying enemies IMO
Everyone take a shot!! drinks
If they ran past you, fine you got something going.
But often I see players who do not play smart.
If you are 25% downed and you notice that a mob nearby is low health and currently being attacked by someone else, what is the smart thing to do?
Heal yourself?
NO!
You tag that mob so you can rally as soon as it’s dead.
If I see 4 normal mobs ganging up on a downed player, I 100% of the time will not rez you immediately. I can kill 4 normal mobs quicker than it takes to rez one player while taking hits. And I certainly expect players to realize this and tag the mob so that they will rally right away.
I like Nike’s idea about a title/headline.
Having a title/headline on each proposal will make it alot easier to identify which replies belong to which proposals.
Each discussion post could start with something like:

Think this will make it easier to follow each discussion.
Why was there no chance to thwart the attack?

what lordkrall said,
but also because there is no way to include multiple paths in a release schedule that is as terrifyingly fast as the one of the Living Story.
There is a certain amount of suspension of disbelief you need for games, especially MMOrpgs. Just like when playing Pen&Paper rgp’s you just need to shut your pie hole and accept certain things, so things can run smoothly and the DM doesn’t ragequit.
I was roaming around Lions Arch alone save the few times I went to a side event and fought alongside other heroes. I loved the event personally. fighting for my life most of the time, barely hanging on as I tried to save the citizens of Lions Arch while the Scarlet Alliance ravaged Lions Arch. Fantastic update.
sorry i wasn’t talking about server lag. i was talking about playing on highest settings and having 800 people around you fire their spells. it’s just unavoidable when you have giant open world content like this. i have to set my graphics to the lowest to avoid crashing and i hate how everything looks.
Still not following. I always have my graphics all the way up and I’ve never had an issue. If the graphics are crashing your computer, or even just the game that’s probably your computer, nothing else.

kill em, eat em, and take their professions
What if she wants to plant some kind of seed on that intersection of powerful leylines? Maybe the Tower of Nightmares was a prototype?
I say we kill them all once we dealt with Scarlet
I absolutely love that they put that in! I applaud whichever dev thought of that

GW2 has given me the most epic game experience ever! And, since I realised that ESO is currently not worth my money (played it in beta), it seems I will spend year 2014 under the sign of GW2.
)
there is currently an npc or two that are only in the airship, and not the terrace, making the terrace obsolete, and making the airship the better place.
This seems like an oversight. I take it you are referring to the activity and trait NPC’s, afaik the latter was added to the terrace (according to a post on these forums, https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/game/bltc/Trait-Reset-in-Royal-Terrace/first#post3656156).
So with that in mind the activity NPC being unique to airship seems like an oversight. If people make noise about it it will certainly get fixed.
^ there it is guys
It’s a cool, optional skin. Leave it as-is for its lovers, and perhaps add a plain version for the complainers.
Reminds me of Margonites in blue. For RP’s sake, just imagine these are magical sets of armor that temporarily change the appearance of your character to something more “mystical.”
They don’t remind me of Avatar or Smurfs at all. They just make your character more “ethereal” for better or worse.
I would have loved that the shiny blue kept all of your character’s original settings-the face totally changes/gets masked with a new blue one. IMHO, it should keep your own character’s model, even if it turns it blue (how realistic/doable this may be is another thing.)
IMHO, the “ethereal blue” makes it so the “cleavage” doesn’t matter or looks “obscene” at all, even in our culture.
No offense to the haters… for instance, this armor took much more work to design than all those recent flame ones. I think it’s great work, just not meant for everybody’s taste-a niche armor of sorts (I know it doesn’t fit most of my characters.)
Man, I am surprised on the feedback. This armor is AMAZING!!!!!! Thank you Anet for the awesome job!

I think people are a bit confused about this armor. The blue parts are armor not skin. Hiding the helm or previewing a single piece with another piece of skin-showing armor confirms this.
I have 8 different PCs (and one laptop) in my house. The armor shows differently depending on graphics cards/settings.
The fact that most of the posters are calling it “skin” means that the effect (which I am sure the artist labored over) is not being correctly conveyed on a wide-scale level. This indicates there is a problems in the design that might need to be addressed.
Retooling is expensive.
So is potential loss of sales.
ANet gets to make that call based on feedback (a small portion of which comes from this thread.)
Your statement would carry more weight (be more understandable) if not for the fact that you can preview a piece of the armor, with another piece of armor, and explicitly see that the blue isn’t skin. This is regardless of graphics settings (I checked before posting). It seems like far too many people are basing their complaints off of photos and not actually seeing the armor in game.
People not liking the armor is perfectly ok. But people insulting the design for doing something it, very clearly, doesn’t do (show too much skin) isn’t ok.
I agree this is awesome. IMO this should be a zergfest. We had our updates that strayed from this mentality. Wurm and Marionette focused on group coordination. EOTM was lore and a new WvW. This needs to feel like a warzone. This is what happens in a warzone. Massive battles. I think they did a great job at creating the chaos that needed to be shown.
One would argue that a massive attack on the historical city of Lion’s Arch, all the victims, the fact that a giant drill is at work to unearth kitten knows what but most likely something terrible and destructive is a solid chunk of lore in the making.
Very disappointed considering this is the penultimate edition to this LS, There is no story to absorb, No solo stuff to chill out in, It’s just another zerg fest.
Yeah.. unless you count all those people you can talk to and get information and so on.
I keep hearing people complaining about how updates are only zerg-fests, but for some reason those people seem to completely ignore the fact that there is more stuff than that. It has been the case for every single update these last few months.

Well, I’ve recently had chance to experience the path for about 1,5h.
Once I logged into LA and looked upon the map, I just decided to totally don’t give a single kitten about zergs blobbing around and main events. Instead, over 2 defenses I’ve explored about 60% of the map solo or with some random help of occassional players. I think the content for solo is nicely balanced. I was able to cut through the map slowly, killing pack after pack, sometimes pulling single groups and trying to avoid bigger, elite groups as they weren’t really balanced around soloing without better preparation.
Map gives you cool tools which will help you in your roaming, like Aether Shield or potions. It’s really cool patch to experience solo/duo so far. I have yet to try some blobbing for those events, but not really that interested.
I think you should try it out. But don’t check dulfy, look for zerg or look up to these grindmaster rewards. Just hop in, take a path and do what you want.

I didn’t realize I was disappointed until I read this. Thank you for expressing my feelings for me.
I find Divinity’s Reach much more accessible than LA. Two WPs are right beside each other and you can get to everything you need in that small radius. I’ve always used it.
And I care nothing about the Mystic Toilet. Kitten that stupid thing!
I agree, I think whatever’s going to be the replacement for LA should just be an Asura Gate hub, and the services should be available in the cultural cities. This might actually make other cities feel more alive.
This…
… Is literally the best patch ever. So much loot… So much activity… So much art to appreciate. LA has never looked better than it has up in flames. As if I wasn’t addicted enough to this game I can hardly get enough of the destruction and despair that’s now plaguing our once peaceful inlets. Feels like we were suddenly slapped in the face with an invasion, thousands are dead and we’re now fighting to avenge the fallen and reclaim our lands.
… Or maybe I’m just over-imaginative ._.
Either way I love this to death. I’m not big on PvE what-so-ever. I spend 90% of my time in WvW occasionally farming dungeons for a bit of loot/gold but besides that PvE has never caught my attention for more than an hour or so. But now… I can’t pull myself from LA for longer than a few minutes. When we’re all sent back to the nearest safe zone when the event ends, I’m just waiting anxiously for it to start again
.
Great job, ANet. For this player, this is by far the best thing to hit the game. I can’t wait to see how this progresses ( :

PvP modes are the “endgame” in all MMOs.
Stop failing at PvE, and fix WvW/SPvP. Thank you.
I’m only upset with the fact that the question even has to be asked.
I was about to write a long-winded post that is basically this line. You summed up my thoughts on this subject perfectly.
