Molten Facility good. Subdirector Null bad.

Get rid of arbitrary insta death mechanics, get rid of gimmicks (anything where I have to switch out my weapon for an environmental weapon, or have to use switches and other bullkitten), get rid or arbitrary traps (lasers, rocks, ceiling/floor traps), unleash trash mobs- no more running past anything.

Anyway, it’s obvious the senior developers are working on something else. Whether that is an expansion, some mind blowing (or not) new content, or a totally different game is anyone’s guess.

Dhuum came from a time before the magic was gifted to the sentient races of Tyria.

Jotun, Mursaat, Forgotten, Dwarves and Seers all predate ‘magic was gifted to the sentient races of Tyria’. They all wield(ed) pretty powerful magic and hardly seemed to have an issue doing so.

He isn’t restricted by the bloodstones.

And what do the bloodstones restrict, exactly? They inhibit the use of magic to it’s full extend and prevent any one individual from wielding all forms of magic. That doesn’t exactly mean that no one can use multiple forms (which would be supported by the whole secondary profession thing in GW1). Hell, the 4 schools of magic are Preservation, Aggression, Denial and Destruction, and it’s still completely unknown which profession falls under what. Hence you can hardly exclude that fire magic and necromancy might actually be part of the same school…

So your argument is invalid.

I’m afraid you failed to see the full argument: a figure that shows some ties to Necromancers has used fire related attacks in the past. This could very well have inspired an actual Necromancer to develop something similar; given that we can not exclude that this might very well be within their natural scope of potential, see above. I fail to see how this is invalid?

You need both toughness AND vitality to see any real effect from both. You will take around the same % of damage if you’re only stacking one. Regardless in PvE, you should be focusing more on damage than anything else anyway.

Are you sure? I thought Vitality was the amount of health you had and Toughness was to reduce the amount of damage you took?

It now takes these two traits to even consider using the staff as one’s main weapon, and this penalize A LOT anyone aiming to play a Minion Master (as many minion’s traits are in the Death Magic traitline too).

Whether we want it or not, they have already said they will be releasing full Ascended armor and weapons.

And seeing as how the current trend on Ascended gear is (adding a new currency for every new piece they release), we are going to have a lot of new currencies each time they add more Ascended gear.

the changes seem pretty darn awesome so far. though, not sure if this is worth mentioning or not..

in these “leaked notes”, Death Shroud 5 is called Dark Binding.

however, from the GW2Upcoming Skill and Trait Changes update, it states that the name for DS5 is Tainted Shackles?

Necromancer Death Shroud 5

As the professions in Guild Wars 2 continue to grow, we will continue to find ways to augment them and add potency to their arsenal of abilities. With the next balance update, necromancers will be unlocking their fifth ability within Death Shroud: Tainted Shackles. This skill will cause nearby enemies to be inflicted with conditions and controlled if they don’t take very quick action.

there is a slightly mismatch to the skills description as well. though on the gw2 update, it’s rather vague… or am i missing something?

i quite like the Guardian changes from these same “notes” as well, so kind of hoping them to be true. XDD couldn’t help but notice this small discrepancy though.. but who knows.

Assuming of course these turn out to be the notes

Just a few corrections:

Thief changes:
Death Blossom: This skill still looks cool, right?
Body Shot: More stacks will fix this skill!
Cluster Bomb: Don’t you guys already have a 1200 range weapon?
Nine tail strike/Shadow Assault: We finally realized how broken these could be. Will we discover the same about Black Powder? Find out NEXT WEEK ON DRAGON BALL!
Dancing Dagger: You can now take advantage of the reduced damage 25% more often!
Crippling Strike: We removed every condition from this skill except the one that sword users didn’t need.

Acrobatics
Assassin’s Retreat: This trait is still not worth taking, no matter how much we increase the duration.
Pain Response: This cooldown of this effect has been reduced from 45 seconds to 30. The number of players who avoid taking this over more reliable condition removal, however, has not been reduced.
Hard to Catch: Don’t worry about what we did to this, it’s still so unreliable you won’t take it.

Shadow Arts
Last Refuge: This trait will now screw you over 33% more often.
Shadow Protector: Don’t worry, just a few more points until Shadow Rejuvenation

Signet of Inspiration for Guardian?

You were comparing time warp to so i gave an example of other class skills. I’m sorry but " Save yourselves" don’t apply stability have you ever played a guardian before? I’m just saying that the signet would be so much more useful on Guardians in PVE, You guys seem to think its OP because it would make guardians the top sort after class in party support. Guardian already have ’ Hold the Line " skills which provide protection and regeneration. How does it exactly destroy the balance class wise. Does it make Guardians more Stronger no it doesn’t, it just makes their supportive role a lot more better. The term you are using shouldn’t be overpowered since all class benefits from it. Exactly how does this skill even make the guardian OP in a solo basis. It doesn’t! It would be useless without a party. The only thing this skill would do to guardians is make people prefer them over other classes in Party. We already see this happening in CoF with zerk war and mes. So stop saying its OP or unbalanced because its not. It just changes people’s opinion of which class they want better in a party.

use SYG and SY for all boons including stability, use signet of inspiration for party wide god mode.

how exactly does it change people’s opinions of anything? The Guardian is already a must have in any max effectiveness party, I’m sorry that you’ve been stuck doing 2nd rate “speed” runs but the Guardian is already an almighty party support everywhere else. This would literally give them a power that is untouched by any single class, they would be pushed to a tier above the current “meta” and it’s disturbing that you fail to see it.

and since its clear that you cannot grasp the magnitude of your own suggestion i’ll just leave it as that.

So a Guardian having to use up 2 of their utility skill with a 40sec cool down on both to give everyone in the party 10sec boon buff is OP while Warriors have infinite party wide might (" For Great Justice" to accompany them with Signet of Rage 30sec of might is not OP. Yeah this skill is definitely not logical and …. definitely OP for Guardians because warriors can have infinite might and not be considered OP.

Some Guardians are ALREADY giving up 2 slots for 4 boons of party support (SYG and HTL), and most Guardians use some OTHER method of party support (such as party wide condition removal), this puts it over the top by allowing the guardian to give every boon there is, while still keeping most if not all of their innate support. Guardians were already powerful party supports before, I don’t see how you think this won’t bolster their status and the party support.

How exactly is a permanent 3 stacks of might overpowered? I could put on Bane Signet on Guardian or Signet of Might on Warrior and it’ll already be more powerful than the 3 stacks of might. Another thing is that are you seriously comparing perma 3 stacks of might and 33% uptime on fury to 33% uptime on ALL boons? For starters it’s already as good or better than fury from For Great Justice, another thing is that it includes the BEST boons in the game: Stability and Protection.

I can’t even explain it in words very well because of how painfully obvious it is that a party wide all boon buff would completely destroy balance.

Definition of Overpowered in my opinion is when one class have advantage over all other classes. But the “Signet of Inspiration” doesn’t make Guardians have advantage over any class it just increases party performance.

The only thing it would do is make Guardians more sort after due to their support abilities. Also having “Save Yourselves” + “Signet of Inspiration” combo activate takes up 2 of the utility skill slot with a good 40sec cool down leaving the guardian with only 1 utility skills to protect themselves for the next 30 – 40 secs. I’m only talking about this PVE wise it would benefit everyone in dungeon run. I don’t care much for WvW or PvP they can have the skill disabled. It doesn’t make the Guardian themselves any stronger since they already have the “Save Yourselves” boons, having the Signet of Inspiration skill would increase overall party performance.

“It would make them better and stronger but not more powerful because logic”
