Perplexity changes – Instead of a 20% chance of causing 3 on hit hit them, it’s 25% when they hit you.
Duration on the confusion from knockback went from 10->8.
Hopefully they fixed the currently bugged (not working) additional confusion duration bonus from the set as well.

Cloak and Dagger doesn’t need a buff, it’s fine as is. Dancing Dagger…that one I feel everybody can agree on it needing a buff.
C&D does the same damage as a HS above 50% hp in PvP. It also has a longer aftercast Vs. HS so the burst is less compact. It has higher risk with no fewer rewards vs. BP->HS since the C&D needs to hit and the HS through BP doesn’t (BP also adds some protection while doing so).
DD misses far too often.
Deathblossom is a cond attack in a otherwise power based weaponset and the evade is quite short on it (1/4s).
Want backstabs? Go d/p. Want evades? Go s/p. No good reason to ever use d/d since d/d’s 3/4/5 don’t offer anything you can’t do better on another set other than spam blossom (which is horrid). It needs something useful to set it apart.

It doesn’t matter that they can freely slap yaks and hop/cap camps while evading/being nearly immune to cc? It’s fine that it would take a coordinated team of other classes to do the aprox the same? Yea… I disagree with that.
That being said though, it’s only in WvW where this matters. WvW “balance” is nearly non-existant.

Indeed everyone can turn in laurels for un-ided dyes. However many will want to use their laurels for other things. Right now you can get them as drops and turn in laurels for them. It’ll cut off half of that.
Common dyes will still be common and abundant since you only ever need 1 and those are extremely easy to obtain. Highly desired rare dyes will become more rare and the prices on those will go up over time despite only needing 1 due to the lowered supply.
That’s a slightly more detailed version of how I see it playing out anyways.

It’ll dip down when everyone and their mother gets a free dye for every duplicate.
Those will be quickly bought up and shelved by players trying to make a profit later on.

People are selling their stocked up dyes, but dyes are now harder to obtain and more players have joined the game.
By this time though common dyes will fall back down, but not to what they were before… ’cause they are still common.
All other dyes have continued to go up in price.

You can use artificer to compact them a bit, but I agree it’s a large problem overall.

Dyes and some related stuff will go up. But not as much on common dyes or very common mats such as carrots and onions. Before then people will be getting a lot of unidentified dyes for free from duplicates. That’s going to be a ton of dyes flooding the market. That means you’ll be waiting quite a while. I think that would be a better time to stock up on specific dyes you want to invest in then for longer term investments Vs. very common cooking mats and crafting.
Carrots and onions already spiked up from people using them to craft the dyes and it’s not really worth it now since it takes ~25-50s/1 of the un-IDed common dyes depending on type.
The only part that might go right would be that they may be needed for 500 cooking daily and then the demand would increase greatly. Outside of that it’s too iffy and you would have to hold onto them for too long for it to be worth it.
I could be wrong, but that’s just how I see it and I don’t see the chance to be worth it Vs. the sure thing of just picking and choosing what dyes to invest in when the market gets dumped on.

My advice: Buy Onions and Carrots.
If they dont increase in value due to dye crafting and cooking 500, you can use onions to make Lord Faren cry and WvW commanders can utilize carrots to make the pve achievement hunters follow them around the map during spring tourney.
Those are just going to give you common dyes though. Gathering and making unident grey’s seems like a better idea… or stocking up on abyss dyes while the price is depressed from the new gem shop dyes (chance at abyss from them).

Btw some dyes have dropped in price… including abyss… due to that being a possibility from the new dye packs. Should those be restricted in price drop as well?
IMO what should be done is with how they’ll be giving new unidentified dyes back. They should give you an unidentified dye of the same rarity. Right now some one with two expensive flame and frost dyes on two different characters will be given the same as a player with two common dyes. That’s pretty messed up.

Lemongrass is easily obtainable in a very small/easily farmed area in SoD. Park a couple alts there, go grab it every few hours (doesn’t take long to grab all the herb nodes in that crescent band). Grats you now have a steady stream of lemongrass and some coriander which spiked in price due to the dye changes (sell for more lemongrass or poultry or whatever).

It does stack… in duration. It’s already the equiv of ~7 stacks of bleed as is (iirc 7, not willing to do math or look it up @ 1am). If it could stack in intensity it would be massively OP in PvP.

Honestly, instead of giving an unidentified dye for each duplicate they should just give you that specific dye back as item you can sell. ESPECIALLY for people who bought more than one of the expensive dyes like Pyre and other limited event dyes.
I agree 100%, but if that’s not possible for technical reasons they should at least give you one unidentified one from that set of the same rarity.
If nothing changes players (like me) will be greatly rewarded for having unlocked a ton of common dyes. I think I have 1-2 rare dyes that’ll overlap, but a TON of commons.
Players that have multiple gem shop dyes and abyss on multiple characters will be out quite a bit of gold/RL $.

How is getting an unidentified dye from rare/gem shop specific dyes if a player has multiple of them fair to players? That’s a massive downgrade.
Sure it’s good if you have a lot of duplicate common dyes, but if some one went through the trouble to get something like deep glacial sky dye on multiple characters that’s horrid. Those are usually paying customers as well.
IMO they should give you the specific dye you had a duplicate of back or at least one of the same set & rarity. That seems far more appropriate.

The nerf is probably more to lower the damage back down post ascended. Power gains more from those increased stats. This should help balance it out. Ascended was just a bad idea.

TC being in T1 now =‘s I’m not excited about anything in ZvZvZ. Shooting bad players in the back as they run away to try to find friends is boring as all kitten (the life of a roamer in T1). I’ll do the meta for the rewards and then go back to PvP (presuming they fix the rewards, if not just meta and log in for daily).

Cond does less damage than power (PVT vs Dire). Conds are near worthless in largescale combat (too much aoe removal). You need to hit a player to apply a condition, then the damage over time begins… and can still be removed at that point.
But yea, nerf conds plz so my glassy power built characters won’t have to build at all against them -.-
About conds being easier than power… it really depends on the class/build. Cond eng 3x kit is significantly harder to play than a power warrior or guard.

In WvW is where it’s broken. The loss of 1 player not killing players doesn’t matter. Teleports aren’t as useful because of the maps, pure landspeed is. They can zip around the map killing yaks/taking camps etc. Out of the two the gs is the worse offender with two movement skills on one weapon (one with evade).
Yeah using the landscape with teleports, teleporting up cliffs, up and down into valleys, and across bend platforms isn’t even close to running around everywhere on foot…
In WvW it’s not. Not enough good opportunities to balance the two especially considering the evade/cc removal that war has.

Not sure if this counts… but during the last flame/frost dye release I noticed that certain non-flame/frost dyes that came with those dropped in price. I bought up as many of them as I could and held the price higher than it would have naturally been because of the increased supply. I waited a little while after the sale, then sold them all at a good profit. It wasn’t a full market (all the dyes) but a part of one.

IMO it’ll be fine as long as they nerf all 2h weapon dmg by 5% (the thought being that if you have an extra slot you could just toss in a sigil of force and up the damage 5% on top of your current sigil). Ele and Eng will still be getting an extra slot on their 2h weapons, so they deserve that too.

It works just fine other than with the people that bot and bid 100,000 of an item to have it go up on the highest demand section on the front page. That’s not the fault of the system either, but the fault of the people abusing it.

New players should have ‘even footing’ in PvP. Unlocking traits and stuff is not equal and leads to imbalance which makes it even worse to be on a team with new players than it already is.
Unlocking PvP exclusive rewards/skins should be what horizontal progression is not unlocking traits.
I did not think it was possible for ANet to screw up any further than they already have but they’ve done it again.
Agreed, I would far prefer if they kept that sort of stuff in PvE/WvW and left PvP out of it. The fact that you could hop into PvP without doing any PvE and be on par with everyone else gear/trait/stat wise has been a selling point for several of my friends.

A month of seriously lacking rewards in PvP? That seems like it’s longer than it needs to be. It’s not that I can’t live with it, but it does mean that I won’t be playing much. I know several other people that are taking breaks due to this as well. Doesn’t seem like that’s good for the game. It’s a risk that they’ll transfer to another game within that time period.
I would like to know why was the glory stuffs were removed so early. Is there something preventing it from being done the same patch as the feature patch? Is there something preventing it from being able to be done at most one week prior to the new rewards?
Doing it this way doesn’t seem like it’s good for the players or the game Vs. having the reward removal/revamp closer together.

The amount of effort you need to put in for what you get in pvp vs wvw/pve is a total joke. Before it was sort of separate reward wise with the skins and I felt that wvw had the worst, but jeeze… this just blows everything else out of the water for #1 least rewarding.

1) You are the community coordinator for spvp.

3) You were sub-rank 20 for at least a year (?) of being Community Coordinator (for spvp).So my question is – how exactly do you coordinate with the spvp community? It’s not in-game (they honestly should give you time at work to log in and run spvp imo… only way to get in touch with the community). Any coordination with these forums is moot because we’re such a small sub category of a sub category (“very, very small percentage”), so anything done here seems rather unproductive. Hence, my question…
To extrapolate on this idea of “a very, very small percentage of [players] even visit[s] these forums” – what useful data can you even collect here. The argument being used is essentially, well, so few people use this tool that anything gleaned from it is automatically invalid, as it only, at best, represents a minority. So… why bother with it at all if you seek only majority opinion? It clearly is not useful for market research or gathering good feedback (as the percentage that use it is too small to be considered important).

Ignoring TP fees and utilizing hypotheticals:
Price of mithril now = 30c
50 stacks of mithril = 37.5GHypothetical high of mithril = 60c
50 stacks of mithril = 75G
That’s only a profit of 37.5 G.When you consider opportunity costs that is a very poor investment (and we don’t know if mithril will ever reach 60c again anytime soon)
You were better off investing in Scarlet’s Rifle earlier this week when it was 100G and now over 200G (and can reach to +400G by the end of this event)
The only way you can make a profit off of speculating commodities is to have a 2nd account and accumulate volume through TP storage.

lol what? You can’t stack 5% force sigils if that is what you are trying to say. The damage different between a 2h and a 1h is not huge either.
Nah, I’m not saying 2 force =‘s 10% on the weapon. Say if you used something like battle before (or whatever), you now have another slot open which you can toss in an additional sigil. Say you choose force. You’ve just increased the damage 5%.
Additional sigil =‘s more damage potential (among other things). Hence you need to nerf the 2h weapons to compensate. Unless you’re trying to say all 2h weapons are UP right now?

People don’t get revived in a zerg fight. They rally because the enemy dies faster.
Revives are fine IMO.
Yes they do… Not just downed people, but fully dead people as well.
Commanders will push forwards specifically to create a wall of bodies and focus res people back up again Vs. smaller groups. It prevents a smaller groups from being able to chip away at a larger one.

According to several people today rabid nade/bomb build is also “decap”
Nerf AR and all will be fine. The only engies using it are decap engies.
A lot of these passive traits/skills need to be nerfed or made more active to promote more skillful gameplay. I would prefer the latter. Say… nerf AR, but eng should be provided more active cond removal traits in other areas (409 is bleh since it ties you to elixirs).
