There is no bug from what I saw. The game is absolutely perfect.
Admins, thank you, and keep up the great work.
What transparency? Who said anything about transparency?
Jackkson is 100% right. We need more AI added to the game because there is plenty of space for more automation to make it easier for the children. Let your imagination flow.
The PvP game does not have a problem in balance, but in concept, the way each profession was thought, that is the problem. As it stands, some professions are vital for teams, or more important to have then others because of their unique integration abilities, and this represents a concept issue, not a dps/support/heal/bunking issue.
On the other hand there is no room for more imagination and vision. You are forced to play the meta, or else your team can not explore the full potential of your profession, or you simply get smashed by your opponent.
In conclusion, no patch can fix this. The whole concept must be rethought, from profession abilities and traits, to the currently ignored combos and teamwork.

The game (with PvP) is 2 years old soon. Let’s keep a positive attitude and try to get over this like many players did before us, for more than a year. If you strongly do not like what is going on in PvP, feel free to move towards some other form of gaming.
Ascended back items are usually upgraded from their exotic version, with their components depending on event or story. More info can be found here.
Seek and you shall find my young padawan.
In my opinion all professions are fun, because the game itself is designed for entertainment and fun.
As a personal note, do not use mesmer and elementalist for sPvP. These professions were the least played in Tournament of Legends 1; so right now these are probably the worst professions to choose for sPvP (but this is just my humble opinion).
However it might be fine to apply it to just PvE where no NPC really care about seeing your animations.
Yes, sure, I think about the PvE and WvW side of the game. Players should not even be allowed to use tonics in sPvP.
I wish to suggest ArenaNet to implement ingame usage of tonics in combat, with all the abilities of the main profession to use.
I know this sounds like a child suggestion, but tonics to be allowed in combat could be lots of fun. It can add huge diversity to the game and personally I would love to see this happen.
Why have the same character design in combat and not be transformed to quaggan, or a cat, or anything else when having fun? (I love to imagine a huge blob of cats in WvW)
As a side note, ArenaNet could earn lots of money from selling tonics on TP.
Any other ideas are welcomed.
This is just a suggestion, please treat it as it is and feel free to comment on this in a serious manner.
I’d like to know how many teams on NA & EU have signed up thus far.
As of this exact moment there are 203 submissions, not sure of regional splits and this does not factor out any troll or nonvalid entries yet.
According to the official announcement signups are done “on a first-come, first-served basis and will accommodate up to 128 teams”. Why are signups still open if the limit has been reached more than a day ago? I understand that you desire to have more teams in case some of them quit, but there are already too many teams and it started generating confusion.
Hello. I have TS3 (+mic) and can speak english.
Since release I play only elementalist, either as supportish-bunker with staff, or as dps with DD.
I am looking for a EU PvP team with TS3 communication. It is important for this team not to be the best, as the game is very unbalanced in concept, and if we all play the same things there is no fun.
I am rank 71 (but I do not think this has any relevance, PvP is dead and unbalanced for more than a year, and rank used to be farmed by most at rank 80).
If you want me, contact me ingame. Thank you.
Hello. I wish to join ReVo. Thank you for your understanding.
According to this official news a new Tournament of Legends will begin soon with 128 teams in total (unknown yet how many reserved slots).
What is your first impression regarding this tournament?
Will you participate (if not why)?
Do you have a team, or are you looking for one?
What professions do you think will be most fun in this tournament?
What team do you think will win this tournament and why?
I understand ArenaNet.
Something very important must have happened if 10 weeks were not enough to sort out all issues regarding rewards.
Please note this is a game. I personally do not play this game for some ingame virtual rewards, I play it for fun with other people [friends or enemies (together)].
Trophy Finishers were not in the chests.
According to the official announcement players should be rewarded trophy finishers for the winners. The game did not reward these in chests.
Will these rewards be delivered ingame by some other means, or is this a bug and people should ask the support team?
There is also no trophy-finisher, as it was mentioned in official announcement

But this is a bug. I agree outfits are treated as one piece now, but the game should render them when the armor is broken.
If a character has an outfit equipped and active, broken armor will not make that outfit’s pieces disappear visually, as without outfit.
1. This is confusing if someone has broken armor and outfit equipped, because character appears as if armor is not damaged. In such case the only notification remains in bottom right side of HP circle.
2. This visual bug may (or may not) drop sales of outfits in Trading Posts.
Server: Any (Tested on SFR)
Location: Any (Tested in Edge of the Mists)
Character: Any (Tested on personal: Antiplay)
To reproduce: Jump down in Edge of the Mists (jump in abyss, respawn, die again and again to break armor faster)
Please state here your feedback about the Tournament of Legends – European Brackets.
Does it seem fair to you that 8 reserved teams all got into second round, none of them playing in the first round?
Do you feel treated equal with other players on this tournament?
Please allow me to also thank development team for this long waited patch.
I agree with Darnis. Everything is a big plus. Any change for PvP is better than no change at all. We now have access to more skins in PvP, together with more people having fun.
Will the matches of these teams be established randomly?
Mesmer and Guard 4ever
Nice. May I contact you in-game to learn your Mesmer build?
Keep them coming. I like what I see. Probably you do not realize, but is great statistical information about what people enjoy and what professions have most win percentages.
I am curious to see what the best profession will be after April 15 feature patch. My guess is warrior because of it’s simplicity and it’s marketing, but it’s just a personal guess.
Who knows, probably people will test the new features, like them, and remain for more PvP afterwards, or come from PvE to PvP as it’s intended.
Anyway, in my opinion things are improving…

https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/pvp/pvp/Bowing-out/first
http://www.twitch.tv/guildwars2
GW2 PvP was build with the concept of teamwork and combos in mind, but it is very unbalanced and simple, while combos are mostly used in WvW. Therefore, in my opinion it will never be an eSport simply because it is unbalanced and combos are not very rewarding for PvP.
If GW2 PvP was more complex requiring teamwork with spells coordination for multiple combos, probably then and only then it could try to go for eSport, but as it stands now… it’s just too simplistic and childish.
In my opinion this is not fair. I strongly disagree with favoring some players.
The announcement states clearly “we’ll open sign-ups to everyone” ( https://www.guildwars2.com/en/news/announcing-the-guild-wars-2-tournament-of-legends/ ). There is no mention in the announcement of 8 preferred teams chosen by BLU probably because they are all friends, or probably because they all have blue eyes.
We are all equal players on the same game. If it must be random, then let it be random by selecting randomly from all the signed teams.
Regarding slots, BLUna used the term “slots” combined with the word “reserved”. Does this imply that these reserved slots will be in the last 16? Will those random 56 teams fight each other until 8 remain, and the last 8 of 56 will fight the 8 reserved? I ask this because to me “reserved slots” makes more sense this way.
So… no more charts? Let’s keep them coming. I am curious to see what people enjoy most in this game.
Let’s see the positive side. Now they are trying to make the game better.
https://www.guildwars2.com/en/the-game/releases/feature-packs/
https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/pvp/pvp/Bowing-out/firstIt took them a year and a half to, possibly, not make a patch that makes the game worse.
Woo hoo!
Maybe in another year the game can actually be put together well enough to be released.
Let’s just hope for the best because these are important changes. Better late than never.

What will happen to town clothes? Will town clothes be in Wardrobe too after April 15?
Just checking, but did you guys know that pretty much every GW2 Tournament thus far – except those explicitly randomized on stream – are seeded based on the admin’s perception of the team’s past performance?
In Elimination (which this tournament will be), and in match ups that lack divisions (Bronze, Silver, Gold), spreading the top teams is par for the course..
If teams are relatively equal in skill, and/or a Round Robin gametype, where every team plays every team, (as opposed to elimination) is chosen, then randomization of the brackets is acceptable.
Using the leaderboards, or ‘season end’ rankings, as it is known in most games, is usually the best way to create fair brackets so one bracket doesn’t contain all the super tough teams.
So, in your opinion, everything is wrong.
The announcement “We’ll open sign-ups to everyone, but only 16 teams per region will make it into the Tournament (subject to change)” SHOULD BE “We’ll open sign-ups for the best teams (in leaderboard), but only 16 best of the best teams per region will make it into the Tournament (subject to change)”
Most players promoting a volatile leaderboard keep on forgeting that “All characters are on even footing in both kinds of competitive play.” This is how PvP is presented in Guild Wars 2 main website. Please do not change or forget that.
Some teams were in leaderboard in the past and now they return, some teams were not in the past but are now, some just formed from SoloQ, some just formed from WvW or even PvE. It does not matter, because all should have an equal chance on this tournament. “We’ll open sign-ups to everyone” and everyone should have an equal chance to be in the selection of the few teams that get to participate.
It is not fair to say that someone is worthy, and someone is not worthy, simply because we want to see an entertaining show in the finals and semifinals. This event is not for viewers watching a show on computer, it is not for youtube or twitch_tv entertainment, it is not for some international gamescom campaign, it is for the players playing and struggling to win a legendary item ingame. All players and all teams should be equal as we all play the same game for something that makes us happy (gold, gems, items, popularity, entertainment, friendship, etc).
If you enjoy watching, there will be fun in the end, because all teams will struggle to win the legendary items in this competition.
I recommend lottery, or random choosing of the teams to participate, nobody being favored here. All players are equal, please keep that in mind when you play this game.
How many teams have registered for the tournament so far?
Ok. channel registration removed. Mistpedia channel IRC no longer available for support.
@BLUna.7928
The Internet Relay Chat (IRC) official channel #Mistpedia @ irc.quakenet.org was lost, I do not know when and why, I only saw it empty and unused. I allowed myself to register it back. If someone from Mistpedia Staff wants it, I will gladly transfer ownerships you.
This is just an info to inform Mistpedia owners about this security issue. The Mistpedia.net website has no way to contact their official staff by email, and that is why I use this forum.
Everything is free. Many new and unknown teams have registered and many more will register for this tournament simply because it is free and there is nothing to loose here. Also this event is quite motivating: a PvE based legendary item as reward plus precursors usable mostly with PvE.
In my humble opinion, to limit the teams there should have been set an entry fee, such as 10 gold per team. As such, only teams that really like PvP would register and waste that gold. Also the gold could have been added as reward after the event. But this is just my opinion.
You can, by doing daily. PvP daily grant you Arcane Sliver, Arcane Crystal, Arcane Orb, etc. just like before.
I will try to be fairplay with all the players by not unlocking those new traits in PvP. This will be my small way of protest, for this change in PvP concept of the game.
Please note current PvP concept:
“All characters are on even footing in both kinds of competitive play. Players use their regular characters, but everyone is adjusted to the maximum so that all characters are roughly equal in power.”
SOURCE: https://www.guildwars2.com/en/the-game/pvp/ (Section: Player vs. Player)
So I rarely ever complain here, but I think this is the tip of a huge issue, and I really have to get this out. Consider this:
I think the Anet rational for purchased traits is that since gold is now earned in pvp, it needs to have a corresponding gold sink. I also understand that trait and skill unlocks are seen as horizontal, and thus shouldn’t hinder players in pvp.
Here’s my problems:
1- Horizontal progression is still vertical progression. Access to more skills and traits allows for more permutations in builds, more statistical access to meta quality builds. 1 or 2 trait/skill unlocks doesn’t seem like much now, but if Anet continues on this path it’s going to be more and more apparent that longer playing players have a distinct advantage.
2- Freedom to experiment. One of the core great features of gw2 pvp. Unlike any other game, in gw2 you have the freedom to try any class, play any spec, and learn everything you can from it. I never fully understand another build until I play it. When you start creating meta builds that require unlocks, you destroy that amazing learning experience.
This game’s pvp was originally built on the concept of an equal playing field. No restricted skills, gear to grind, etc. That’s an amazing concept, and one of the core reasons I play gw2 pvp and not SWTOR or WOW. I think it’s extremely dangerous to mess with that formula. I really really urge Anet to reconsider this and future updates.
Charge as much as you want for cosmetics if you want a gold sink, don’t mess with the actual pvp.
+1
You my friend are 100% right.
WOAH
hang on now
That means we’ll need to drop 25 SP(more/less) or unlock it in PvE for PvP use?
Doesn’t that defeat the purpose of PvP(ie: you can enter on a lvl 1 and be able to play it without having to have an 80 in PvE)?
If that’s the future of PvP in this game…you can consider it dead. 40 new traits, that will require some form of unlock will kill whatever is left of PvP.
Spending skill points to unlock PvP content was done before with a healing skill. It can happen again with traits.
In such case, the GW2 PvP game becomes clearly not what it was, and still is announced: a game where you can go straight into PvP, gaining content access equal with other players, making difference only in skill ( official link: https://www.guildwars2.com/en/the-game/pvp/ ).
If I even feel not equal with others, or being forced to PvE, then most likely I will quit the game too, like many players did before.
Yeah… let’s make Elementalist a healer with 25% more healing and only 2 healing spells (with cooldown 20 and 45) for Staff.
Awsome choice and great imagination.
Yesterday, one day after patch, I received at daily for PvP: 1 Arcane Crystal
Today, two days after patch, I received at daily for PvP: 1 Arcane Sliver
Issue: There should be no such salvage materials rewards in daily PvP, because glory, match-chests and PvP items can no longer be obtained (as stated in patch notes and previous messages on website and forums), making PvP salvaging and PvP crafting impossible at current state.
Solution: Removal of PvP salvage material from obtaining in daily.
Marvin this is what you’ll be having afterwards.
For me it is unbelievable how some people love so much the PvP in GW2, playing the same tactic and map over and over again for 1.5 years till rank 70.
I don’t get it, probably it is just a matter of taste.
I just completed daily PvP (the next day after patch). I received 1 Arcane Sliver.
My newbie question: Why did I just received something totally and absolutely unusable any more, that should have been removed from rewards?
Elementalist is bad. Everything that an elementalist does, any other class can do better.
But it does not matter anymore. Many good old elementalists already left the game and soon the rewards will be removed. Too much time wasted on waiting for something (or anything) to happen in PvP.
I think this will be the new reward system, and right now it is implemented as testing for community reaction.
I think the plan is to receive PvE items and gold as rewards. With gold (and/or gems) players could buy PvP convertors to transfer PvE items into PvP skins, so they can use them or collect them in PvP. The advantage with such future PvP convertors is that these would work vice-versa, also converting PvP items into PvE skins.
I do not know what future brings. This is just an opinion, my opinion as a player, not an official staff response.
