Guardian doesnt have anything common with monk from GW 1.
you mean other than
Symbol of Wrath,Banish,Smite,Ray of Judgment,Shield of Judgment,Shield of Absorption,Zealot’s Fire,Spear of Light,Healing Breeze, the icon for the class?
Face it the GW1 monk is never going to make a return because the trinity is gone . ANet specifically left it out because of that fact.
Yea pretty much . Besides frustration is one of those things scripted into all MMOs by default
I agree with this and it should have been in at launch honestly . I mean if you can have it in GW1 why not in GW 2
thats funny cause i always got heavy or light armors when i completed maps on my Medium armor wearer .
ohhhhhhh Vengeance . If thats the case it was the best troll rez in GW1 and remains so in GW2 . Simple solution to that is dont use it .
The only problem with the return of the Dervish is that it was a holy warior that worshiped the 5 gods…ok that’s 2 problems . Well and the fact it was an elonian class .
The holy warrior role has been filled by the guardian essentially and the gods are chilaxing eating popcorn while we deal with dragons which the dervish drew its main power from. Heck half if not more of its skills had a gods name in it . Then you have the issue of only humans believing in the 6 gods and the fact several avatar skills have already been put in the game .
Agreed . I love revisiting old LA
It makes me so sad to say this but currently Guild Wars 2 has the worst PVE in the history of MMO’s.
You my friend have never played Runescape or Real War or anything by GPotato or Areia Games . I could continue if you like ? Ive played some really aweful ones and GW1 is nowhere NEAR the worst in fact its top tier
I believe Anet said a while ago Multi-boxing is in fact banable .
Cultural armor by definition is strictly for the culture it is made for the same way Priory armor is strictly for the Priory .
Its called a Daily for a reason . If you want to add a WEEKLY thats another story all together and is something i would be for but to make a daily non daily is ridiculousness
Just remember when your reset time is.
Agreed . Dont be THAT guy either who says "oh ill do daily X later " and 3 hours later you have 2 mins left .
Ive found Jormag the best place to get this . you can easily get 3 dodges off his wall attack if not more and at least 2 when he drops stuff from the air . . you can go from 0 to max on the dodge achievement in one go . I get what the OP is saying but i dont see a need for any changes .
I don’t see anything that has to be balanced.
They are simply wanting a 3rd heavy armor class to balance the fact there are only 2 where as there are 3 medium and 3 light classes. I think its a reasonable idea but dont expect it any time soon do to development play testing and balance stuff. I merely put an idea forward for a possible way to look at the new heavy class
My idea for this is a "tactician " class . This class would use offensive and defensive skill sets per weapon set up kind of like attunements . each set up would also grant the chance at boon or to inflict a condition depending on your set up.
Weapons would be as follows
Main
Sword,Axe,Longbow,
Offhand
Dagger,Shield,Sword
A possible example might be
Sword Dagger offense grants a chance at poisoning a foe on dagger strikes and is purely offensive where as Sword Dagger defense grants a chance at stability every so many seconds and has more block/evade skills
Sure why not . Make each piece of T4 cost Shards Ecto and Gold just like the original
I expected this to be about something completely different but i’ll agree to it .
Its clearly drunk at a Norn moot
it started to tell me then just wend …DUDE GET A LIFE ALREADY
@Gibson There’s a difference though , in most MMOs when you reach level say 45 you will still have the firepower of a level 45 in a level 15 zone and 1 shot everything . Thats not the case in GW 2 your power level goes down to the level area your in .
The way I’m going to look at this question is “do you mind playing in lower level zones on your 80” and the answer to THAT question is no . In fact i kind of like it as you get more variation in your enemies and terrain .
You don’t have to do the daily its a choice . If you don’t want to spend that 30 or so mins doing the daily then don’t its that simple .
dude you can get Underwater and combat healer in the same shot as well as an event or 2 . Vets? just as easy and when was crafting a few planks of wood grinding?
Sure i do . As for the reason Its because i rolled a 1 or a 3 instead of a 2 or a 4 but i also build profiles for my characters and have fun with that .
1 ) they said a very long time ago free transfers were going to be temporary
2 ) you should have known the 28th was the cut off date to begin with .
naw i like the rotating dailies.
people who play this game is for fun but not to satisfy these psychopath
it is dishonor and immoral
Ok for someone preaching honor and morality defaming people by calling them psychopaths is a poor start . Although you might have an argument on dishonorable thing it’s hardly immoral . Is it mean? yes you could even make an argument for trolling but immoral ? No.
As Oola would say " I came down here to get AWAY from all the Asura" In other words i don’t want to see dungeon or fractal spam when I’m in Holbrak or The Grove. I’ll pass
I Agree 100%. Let us watch our allies in combat when were dead like we could in GW1
We already have dungeons for casuals.
It is called Ascalon Catacombs and Citadel of the Flame.
Not CoF path 3 ……
If they did something like “casual” dungeons they would have to dumb down the rewards for it to reflect how easy it was compared to the rest of the paths . That being said i think the system is fine the way it is and most dungeons probably have a fairly quick path to them anyway
The biggest problem the traditional bard faces is that it’s almost strictly support and musical instruments would have to go by the wayside .This isn’t to say you couldn’t make it work mind you, you would just have to rework its mechanics a bit . In fact it might be a good way to work in the Chant and Echo back into the game . As for weapons i could see such things as sword, shield, scepter, dagger and focus perhaps a longbow as well
As good intentioned as this may be i have to disagree with it as too many tags would likely be removed from use .
Sell the finished product its not like there arn’t 2 gazillion nodes in the world to be harvested
How can you NOT like the new dailys ? You can get virtually every single one in a subzone of frostgorge sound
These are just excuses for the real reason. Op wants dailies to take as little time as possible. This new daily system takes more time, but is more rewarding. I enjoy it.
If you can’t evade. Grab a group of mobs and roll around in them. After a minute at most, you should have all 15.
Less time consuming actually . You can pretty much get dodger veteran and event all in one go at Jormag . You have Jormag himself plus the crystals which are all events and have vets and that wall of spikes he sprays at you can be dodged as well as the things he drops from the sky . After that take a swim for under water and if your lucky the 5th event which includes revives so really you can cover virtually every possible combo but crafting in that area
Granted more skills are always welcome but we can do without the hero system. To a certain extent heros ruined GW1 when they were introduced with EoTN and Nightfall . What made GW1 so great was getting to know its cast and the memorable cut scenes ( something GW 2 lacks as a whole ).
Oh god yes . There are a few other weapons that could be added to the list as well .
It wouldent exactly be considered a stretch to say that you go past that depth in some areas of GW2
I am just pointing out a fact.
As was I. Heres another fact . Without proper presurization your character would be crushed to death under water . Perhaps they should be forced to wear a pressure suit as well? Oh wait but then you only get the armor from that too . Dilemmas dilemmas
WvW should be moved to the PvP and fractals should be removed or at least part of a rotation cause not everyone who likes PvE likes fractals and when something feels forced your less likely to do it ..
I agree they should have some armors that are profession specific . Make them tabs for the cultures ,temples ,orders etc if nothing else just as long as we get them
You cant breath underwater, period.
You cant swim in full plate or cast down meteors from the sky either .
I see 2 potential problems here .
1) instead of using Karma people will just grow the product .
2) Higher end crops will likely be mass produced
You would think that they would have something in place where only one tag per server could be used, or the ability to change your tag/name without losing your rep.
.
The problem with this is that guilds can jump servers so that wouldn’t really work .
i just want some of the Mesmer armors back .
Caudecus’s Manor has a heavy winged helm
http://www.gw2armor.com/human/female/cm/heavy/display.php
as proven on mythbusters time ant time again lol
you just answered your own question. Thats exactly why a hammer would make sense .
Well yes but that’s not what they are asking for and you know it Kaimick.
Putting this not being being western Europe aside you have to consider the fact that its 250 Years after GW1 and technology changes a lot in that time frame . Tyria is clearly in that transitional period where arrows and swords were being phased out for guns and cannons .
As far as churches go no lore supports it . The Humans are polytheist and have temples ,the Norn are druidic and have shrines , Charr are agnostic,Asura have the eternal Alchemy which is Lyssa knows what and the Sylvari have the teachings of Ventari but aren’t about to build a structure to teach it
