“brb” …………….
The best your gonna get is the Temple of Balthazar event chain .
then people would rarely roll more characters . Oh and use search this has been brought up before .
when dodge rolling off a cliff " i hate when that happens "
Makes sense to me . after all many plants are used to dye things .
We have firearms already, crossbows are outdated.
Polearms are fine though.
The crossbow is the perfect intermediary weapon between guns and bows being of a mechanical nature. Besides what would you call the balistae that the Sons of Svanir use but a giant crossbow .
I say give us crossbows and halberds
" I’ll just stealth past them "
“KIIIIILLROOOOOY STOOOONEKIIIIIN!!!!!!”
‘im a guardian we’ll be fine "
this is why the need a hat/costume vendor like they had in GW 1.
Where are they? I would have expected with the henchman Aidan in GW1 being born there to have at the very least a sub zone with this name
Water Magic has never been high damage in guild wars that was always left to the Fire nukes and Air spikes. At least water actually gets used in GW2 it was almost never used in GW1
it would be impossible to have skritt as a playable race as they are only smart while among their own kind .
Although i played GW1 for 7 years i dont know i could go back and it have the same feel . I’ll probably check in on it every now and then but as far as enjoying it as much as i once did im not so sure
Nels i think that’s more of an argument FOR profession based armor than against it . If they are going to be similar in almost every other way at LEAST give them something to differentiate themselves other than weapon sets. I’m in favor if Profession based armor even if you don’t get it till later in the game . Maybe give each order one set each race 3 sets and each temple ( balthazar etc ) 2 sets per profession as well as a dungeon set
We have waypoints and asura gates which do the heavy lifting of walking all over Tyria, which since they teleport have no better way to be made. HOWEVER, since when do MMOs make boat rides a teleport?
Since GW1

rub some bacon on it .
I would rather they introduce the crossbow since it has a mechanical element to it . the Longbow just doesn’t fit with the theme of the engineer .
Imoen or Montaron are always a good names for a thief
ive gotten some decent stuff from them and even if its a yellow i cant use i can usually get a few ecto from it
Dont make me JorGAG . If we’re goin to have a Christmas dragon its gotta be glints baby .
wow a whole 10 seconds your time has really been wasted there.
@ Gehenna
You poor poor soul . you must have never seen a G.I JOE PSA
and knowing is half the battle?
Yep they can see who’s reping and who’s not .Personally i find this a better system than having to have 5 or 6 alts taking up slots that could otherwise be filled by other members. Think how much faster the 500 man roster would fill up if each person in a guild had all 8 classes in it .
To some extent i agree as i grew to hate Rago Kindlerick for never dropping his staff for me and names like Wroth Yakslapper were great . At the same time however you have that “how many times do i have to kill you” feeling and bosses don’t have unique items in GW2 . I’d pity the people coming up with that many names too.
so ele want to be able to have 20 skills and the ability to weapon swap to? Not greedy much are ya.
maybe if the trade off is u cant swap attunements while having 2 weapon configs, otherwise your just trying to make yourselves OP.
Thats not taking into account the utility skills either . Eles getting 40 skills would simply be ridiculous .
You might be able to make a case for the Engineer if it wasn’t for the fact the rifle sucks too much to be used outside of vistas and jumping puzzles
RP it . there’s no reason for this to be an actual game mechanic
i did that when i found Killroy Sonekin
Honestly what i really want I’ll never get . I want to play as one of the Seers from GW1
The ele by default has 20 skills for weapon skills do to attunements . If you added another set they would have 40 skills for weapons completely unbalancing the class.
Kinda reminds me of Gargamel from The Smurfs
There are some decent light armors out there you just need to look for them . heck you can even craft a few of them yourself . Look through the PvP locker (theres a PvE equivalent for all of it ) and see what you like. what i would honestly prefer is profession based armors
Maybe T4 exotic, T5 ascended and T6 legendary. But T3? No.
This is actually a good suggestion as it would allow those with exteme amounts of gold to have something to aim for .
Kodan or Tengu would be the most likely MAYBE Hylek
Mace wouldn’t make sense but i could see a Hammer
No it shouldn’t. Tier 3 is a long-term goal what’s so hard to understand? You will be able to buy it after months, if you don’t want to grind. And it’s only a skin. The price is right as it is.
And it shouldn’t be sold with karma. Karma is used for other more important stuff like legendary components. Besides that it doesn’t change anything because you’ll have to grind for karma so no point.
And again I repeat it’s a long-term goal, for those of course that want to bother with getting the skins and transmute them to exotic. It’s just a skin, you can live without it, especially since it is only rare and not exotic.119 G is not a long term goal for most players, it’s an impossible one.
I’m a pretty casual player, I’ve looked at how much I’ve earned over the last three months,
Let me ask you then How much have you earned. Id consider myself a casual player and ive earned 4 gold in 3 days . If i hadn’t been spending it on crafting that is .
Im gonna go out on limb here and guess that the reason cultural armors cost gold is to remove it from the economy so there’s not an excess of it .
T3 is a rich mans armor that you get for the skins .Its ment to be High in cost . Where as T1 and T2 would be standard elite armors and Orders armors are Vabbian your T3 is FoW . Its going to be crazy expensive and you have to expect to work for it .
The biggest problem with bringing Paragons back is that they are specifically mentioned in the Guardians page on the wiki .
“With the turmoil in Elona and the spread of the Order of Whispers into other lands, more Paragon teaching showed elsewhere in Tyria. These teachings melded with other traditions, and over time, the guardians and their abilities can be found throughout the world and among all the races.”
This make it incredibly unlikely they will make a return. one of the "other traditions " is likely ritualist with the spirit weapons as i mentioned before and obviously Monk .
I cant see Paragon or Ritualist making a return as they both seem to have been absorbed by the guardian in the form of spirit weapons and shouts
Instead of listing my likes and weather or not its missing I’m gonna list what i miss.
1 ) Getting warm fuzzies from helping others with capping , missions VQs etc .
I get i can help my friends with personal story and thats great im not just talking about them here but randoms as well. Going to THK or Hell’s Precipice and helping a random pug with the mission was fun as was helping randoms cap skills (something that should make a return ) and gave me more of a reason to stick around the game .
2 ) low level cap
Ok I’ll probably catch flak for this but the low level cap in GW1 was a good thing . It meant that more oft than not if you were left out on character X it was because you dident have an area not because you wern’t high enough level and even then you could usually be run
3 ) unique look
Im not just talking about armor here im talking about casting style and daces too . Each class was unique when it came to these things . Mesmers were all about flash and pizazz where in contrast you had all the twisting and contorting of the Ritualist . Just look at the HUGE difference in armors between classes you knew a Paragon from a Warrior or a Necro from an Ele when you saw it in GW 2 you need to look at ones icon to know .
4 ) Skills
Or lack there of in GW2 we need more .
5) FoW,UW,Urgoz , TOPK and the deep
I liked these areas a lot and i would really appreciate it if the priory found a way to go to these places
As far as weapns go the things i would want are
Crossbows – Engineer and Thief would be perfect for this weapon maybe even Guardian
Halberd- Guardian ,Necro and War would fit with this
Net ( aquatic ) for caster classes
Bolas (offhand) – Thief ,Mesmer and Ranger
Whip -Mesmer,Ele,Ranger (offhand ) ,Necro ( offhand )
Anyway thats how i see it
i think most just say Jormag cause its faster to say than Claw of Jormag and saying claw just doesent sound as cool
Instancing has a negative effect on a game’s community. I don’t know why developers refuse to see that. They seem more inclined to take the easy way out when developing content by simply making it instanced instead of large enough and detailed enough for a lot of people.
I could easily make an argument the other way . GW1 was entirely instanced and had the friendliest community i ever saw in an MMO .
Well yes but it needs to be put into perspective . T2 and Orders armors are more like your typical elite armors where as T3 is FoW
GW1 max armor price = 7.5k. Elite armor = 75k. The price of cultural armor is fine
When your talking FoW ( which is what were taking with T3 ) you were talking INSANE prices .
If you were to buy them it would have been 1560K for ecto and shards alone . That’s not counting any of the other mats needed . so if anything the price for T3 is low
Forces being the key word . Forcing someone to do somthing they dont like is never a good mechanic. say a PvE monthly requiring PvP or as we are talking about here a World completion forcing you to go into a place not part of the world ( from a lore perspective at least ).
Have you tried pit fighter ?
Since member cap is so much larger in GW 2 i really dont see the need here . Besides this would only make it so mega guilds could flood the WvW Queue more efficiently so once one was out of WvW another was in making WvW more of a massive GvG instead .
