If it were me I’d go with Grenth the god of death. He was not only revered by Necromancers but by Ritualists as well who do pretty much the same thing in GW1 as a Revnant does in GW2
What if they killed off Eir so she could be the revs next elite spec…
they never should have done it in the first place and the way they did it was craptacular at best . If they were going to do it they should of at least had her go out in a blaze of glory not like….that ….
Rurik….
Togo…
Kormir……Trahearne…
Suuuuuure there’s no pattern there. (We even got to put Rurik down) Not surprised in the least.
Ah but there IS. They were all ungrateful whiny jerks . I still want my Dwarven Ale kitten it ! Rurik was such a cheapskate
Im thinking of running Soldier armor so my question is should i supplement it with somthing like Zerker or Captain’s trinkets or just go all in on Soldier?
Not until after wintersday .
Q: Where do Sylvari go for a drink ?
A: A Salad Bar
Q:Why was the priestess so mad?
A: The congregation wouldn’t Lyssan
Q:Why did the Sylvari leaf the pale tree?
A: They wanted to branch out
Q: why are Norn so prone to making mistakes ?
A: because to Eir is Norn
Q: How do people in ebonhawke like their meat?
A: Charr broiled .
Q:Why are norn always drunk
A: They couldnt bear the thought of being sober
Q: How do Char like their meat
A: Searing hot
Q: Why are some Sylvari so suborn
A:They’re rooted in their ways
Q: why do Quagan make a bad audience
A: because they always BoooOOOooo
Am I missing something here? Are you making real-world money off of loot? Cause if not, why does it kittening matter? You play games to kill time. You play games to have fun. Loot and exp are just bits on a server. What’s the big kittening deal? Why are you turning this into an optimization problem?
Psychology 101 If you dont have a reason to do something you wont do it, loot and XP are 2 big reasons to do events . Sure an event can be fun the first few times you do it but past that if there’s no incentive why do it ? That’s why a lot of games use Skinner boxes because it keeps the player engaged long past the point at which the fun has been sucked out of it.
All MMOs are Skinner boxes nuff said
this topic again ? I swear man there’s less salt in the ocean . The more i see this topic the more i want to show my mentor tag just to spite people .
Sounds like someone has issues . overcompensating perhaps ? All i know is i dont need a cape to know im a warrior
Try going back to GW1 and forgetting space bar runs you into your target lol.
Are you kidding ? I broke open a box of fun and turned him into as salad . What kittened me off was when Eir died. She deserved better and her death was anticlimactic .
All that would do is turn 480 people offline into 480 NPCs saying the same 8 lines Over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over again
In other words i’ll pass
People already get to places they shouldn’t be. And i can’t imagine why it would be that difficult to disable it near a JP. This really isn’t that far fetched. lol
It may be easier said than done to disable it on certain parts of a map but have it enabled on other parts.
I can’t say whether it is or it isn’t. But I think one of the coolest parts of the new content is the gliding and I thought it would be neat if we could use it anywhere. Unfortunately, it seems as if I’m the minority on this. Shame.
I’d love to use gliding in mainland Tyria but at the same time i can see how it would break some JPs . Oh and for the record i HATE JPs so its not like im some JP fanboy who doesn’t want them to become easy .
subtle yet effective . i like it .
not until they figure out a way to disable it in JPs and even then it’s doubtful
Ha i wish . i bout the DD when it first came out and i got squat when it became free to play .
If it was against ToS to farm there wouldn’t be anyone in the community . is abusing exploits against the ToS yes but not farming .
You can still do dungeons for the cosmetics and legendary stuff like it was intended in the first place.
only if you can find a group which got that much harder now
I pity anyone who wants dungeon armor from here on out ….
Go Revnant they are wicked awesome . Realistically though any class is viable as a main
I dont know that " power creep" is the right word though it does seem like there’s a lean to bringing back the trinity
I remember when the first guild wars Nightfall expansion came out we got a whole new continent to explore and quest (ELONA) which had 4 regions with multiple sub-regions.
We got new PVP environments, (2) new classes to play and race. A true expansion.
Then you have a poor memory . The first and only real EP was GW:EN ( not counting Sorrows Furnace since it was free) . Factions ( the first new release ) and Nightfall (the 2nd) could function on their own as stand alone games that simply added to Prophesies . Do i feel they over priced HoT? maybe but i get the feeling you’re not giving them enough credit for the content they did add .
The old areas wont become barren . Right now there’s new content that people want to check out and the Halloween event on top of that so its natural for Central Tyria to be empty . As is the nature of all things though the novelty of the new maps will wear off and some people will simply not like the new mechanics of the vertical maps and go back to what they did prior to HoT. I would be more worried that HoT maps would become abandoned since you pretty much need a decent population to do those events and even some Hero Points .
HoT added a craftable Melandru backpack. The recipe is available from the Pact Supply Line mastery.
So all we’re missing is Kormir, who sadly doesn’t get as much love as the other gods.
Maybe when she gets her’s we’ll see some stuff for Dhuum and Abaddon…
Kormir was a chump who set Nightfall in motion in the first place she doesn’t deserve to be a god .
Honestly i think HoT was released at exactly the wrong time which is causing a lot of the maps to be empty. HoT should have either been released in November or January since 2 of the biggest in game events are Halloween and Wintersday . This of course will leave HoT maps empty for for quite a while leaving it to be artificially hard . I’ll reserve my judgement til after wintersday .
correct me if im wrong but dont Commanders have squad chat ?
Mentor tags are also not usable in WvWvW as far as I’m aware?
Ah forgot that Commanders have the ability to mark the map with certain icons good point .
correct me if im wrong but dont Commanders have squad chat ?
very actually was playing OMF earlier today
How often still do you play your favourite video games that haven’t been updated in years?
Worst question you could possibly ask . Since you asked however I still play One Must Fall 2097 ,Buldars Gate , Europa Univereralis (the first one ) Colonization ( the original ) and Pax Imperium Eminent Domain to name a few
(edited by Adine.2184)
So what you want Heart so you can summon captain planet or something?
here we go again. Any form of this idea would be highly exploitable therefore it will never happen . You will simply have to do WvW like the rest of the people who got map completion that didn’t like PvP .
go to holbrak so much more peaceful there …bar the occasionally drunk norn of course
why would you want to look like gadd he was a prick
its got its flaws but it doesnt need a remodel
Ele has a high learning curb but can be incredibly useful . You’ll like it cause you get good damage and good group heals .
They could be taken for some of them yes . Certainly DDF
Adelbern renounces Rurick, and says he has no son. As far as he sees it, they have turned there back an Ascalon. I’m not saying he would not greave for his son, but the hero’s of the flame seeker prophecies end up in cantha not long after. There is no evidence they returned to Ascalon at all. If they did the story shows it would not have been till after the events of EoTN, or even the recalling of the Ebon Vanguard. Also it was not the security of Ascalon Rurick sort, but the safety of its people.
It appears to me you are leaving out story content in favor of your own theory.
This Isn’t entirely true . You return to the the great northern wall during the Last Day Dawns quest to fend off the Titans and save Adleburn . Much the same way you defend North Kryta Province , Henge of Denravi and and Droknars Forge (oddly you defend Droks from mineral springs )
SBI at reset get there early though it fills up quick
Like i said before if you really want to talk immaturity in armor design look at Scarlet Blade that thing is a joke . In general GW 2 does a very good job with armor deign in my opinion
When has dwarfs as playable been rumored? That could be cool though if in next years living story we found a way to restore the dwarves from stone to flesh, could tie in to Primordus also.
Well you know i heard a rumor everything on the internet is true . Im just waiting for confirmation
Its not gonna happen so no
Do you know if it’s possible to enter Maguuma (Henge of Denravi/Bloodstone Fen) during the EotN years?
In GW1 Henge of Denravi was an outpost and Bloodstone Fen was a Mission so yes you could . Bloodstone Fen was was in the northern part where as Henge of Denravi was in the south .
Honestly ive found you’ll burn out on leveling 1 character by level 55-60 so swap between 2 with different play styles to keep game play fresh
good greif man you’re going to make us def . stop yelling . the triangles are vistas to get the xp from them view them by hitting F .
to be fair skill points are literally a drop in this game
dye being 1000 G is your argument FOR this ? ummmmmm ok
in gw1, im pretty sure you had to unlock skills for pvp
hmm, no ?
http://wiki.guildwars.com/wiki/Pvp_character
and that is what was so great about it :PYou did though.
You had some skills unlocked based on Profession when you created it, and whatever other skills that were unlocked on your account through other characters, but you still had to unlock skills (as well as upgrades) through playing and spending Faction Points (Balthazar Faction, if I remember rightly) or the store.
They weren’t all accessible from the start like it is in GW2.
I have to agree. Gaining skills in this game is pretty uninspired.
Maybe if skill points were used to unlock challenges that you had to complete to gain the skill, it wouldn’t be so bad.
You had to unlock equipment and rune as well but all of it could be done through PvE play as well .
The problem is that it really is about your personal opinion of the armor. You call it “impure.” Now, I personally don’t like it myself because having costumed for decades, I’m quite aware of what would happen the moment anyone wearing that got into Thiefly acrobatics. It wouldn’t only be the under part showing! It’s also an odd part of one’s assets to display.
Still, it doesn’t lower the quality. There are a lot of skimpy and a lot of non-skimpy available to suit a range of tastes. The detailing on that armor is a lot better than on some other cultural pieces (I’m still sad my Norn T1 Medium doesn’t have a dye channel on the dress for the trim and tassels, for instance, I think that lowers the quality).
The armor’s well made, you simply disagree with the design choice that went into the chest. Others are going to disagree with you on this. To you it doesn’t belong in Tyria. To me, Tyrians seem to have different cultural norms on what’s appropriate in formal settings from what many Earth societies through history have preferred. Noble humans show a lot of skin. Charr and Norn likewise — well, with Charr it’s fur. Heck, Sylvari put on clothes because it seems the thing to do, not out of any shame.
This is simply a matter of etiquette gone wrong. Overexposure in a way that is inappropriate for the game. There’s a line where something is too trashy, and this one goes over it. It’s no longer professional design to me anymore. It’s a joke.
You can discuss whether or not that is the case, but if it makes people feel like that you’ve got to show compassion towards them. Aside from it being inappropriate as well. It’s just too far beyond the suggestive spectrum.
You’ve never seen the game Scarlet Blade have you ? that games darned near free to play porn . Before you criticize GW for its lack of professionalism in armor design take a look at that game .
